Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 4) WF+GF

“Good morning.” She smiled and got on the bed next to him.

“I think she has you beat. Opa was downstairs already and drinking coffee which she always makes him. So you’re at least two hours late.” She smiled. “We can take them out for dinner.” She said and rubbed Owen’s foot.

“You need another set of hands to set up a photo shoot at a picturesque castle?” She asked suspiciously. “Now I’m starting to think we aren’t taking pictures. I don’t know what you’re up too, but it better be good.” She warned with a teasing smile.

“What did you guys talk about last night?” She kissed the back of Jake’s hand. “Let me guess it has something to do with my surprise?” She asked. “It better not be a gender reveal. That needs to happen at our new house.”

"I'll do something for her. I want to cook for her. Show both of them some American food that I like." He smiled and rubbed her belly.

He grinned. "I promise we are taking pictures. There will be lots of pictures. Right Owen?" Owen just nodded but he had no clue what was going on. He was just a happy kid who would get cranky before long if he wasn't eating or playing.

Jake gave her a look. "How would I know what we are having?! I can barely make out the head on an ultrasound. Especially the early on ultrasound." He shook his head. "We talked about the surprise. And...the future. He's been with your grandma a long time. I don't know anyone who's been married that long. I decided to get some wisdom out of him while I had the chance." Jake shrugged. "He's very proud of his family. It's his biggest accomplishment in life." He looked at Owen and then Adri. "It put things into perspective for me. I want to be successful in MMA and the UFC. Hell I'm enjoying doing the documentary. Filming was fun, editing is fun. I want to be successful with that. I want success in everything. Less than success isn't an option for me."

Jake looked back at Adri. "But I have you, Owen, the twins. If you all are happy and taken care of. Nothing else matters. I'll die a happy man. A blessed man." He squeezed her hand. "I'm also blessed your family accepted me and him. I don't see any of them treating the twins differently than Owen... I can talk to him. Really easily. Plus Opa has so much experience and knowledge. He's a good man. If I could be a half of the man he is...I'm doing good."

Jake noticed the jacket hanging up. "What's that?"

“I don’t know!” She laughed. “Maybe you called the doctor and pulled some fringe. I don’t know. But I don’t want a gender reveal. My grandmother is content in believing I’m having of each. I’ll let her keep believing that.” She told him.

“He is now yeah.” She said in agreement. “We try to be the good in his world.”

She looked at the coat, “My great great grandmother’s wedding coat. It’s been in every wedding photo since World War One, I think.” She shrugged. “I just know it’s been in every wedding photo since hers. It’s a family tradition. And now it’s mine. Technically it’s mom’s, I just get to borrow it. It’s mine on my wedding day. It’s the something old. My shoes will new. I still need something borrowed and something blue. Unless that is both borrowed and old. In which case I only need blue.” She thought.

He chuckled and shook his head. "It's not a gender reveal babe. I promise you. You'll be surprised and I think you'll love it. May want to have tissues though cause I guarantee you'll feel like a princess becoming a queen." He grinned and leaned over to kiss her deeply.

Jake nodded. He already has something old and borrowed with the rings in a way as well. So he was on a mission for something blue...That should be easy enough.

Owen looked at his parents. "Eat! Me hungry. Pweeze?!" He looked hopeful. "No! I'm hungry." Jake grabbed him and pretended to take bites from him which made Owen laugh. "Alright. Let's get you changed and then go eat. Did you miss Opa and Oma?" Owen nodded as he climbed down the bed and started calling for them. Jake got up and grabbed him to make him go potty and take his pull up off. He did good overnight.

They then all went downstairs for breakfast. Jake greeted her grandparents and Owen ran to Oma for a hug.

“I’m hungry, Love. I’m hungry.” She corrected gently when Jake stopped trying to eat him. When they were done, she got off the bed and went downstairs with them. She gave her grandmother a hug and kiss and walked into the kitchen to see what was cooking.

“We have a hungry baby Oma. What’s cooking?” She asked and could smell the biscuits baking and sauce the gravy and sausage on the stove.

“This is a good one.” She smiled. “I’m going to be a happy camper. She got this recipe from dad though. So no German breakfast today. Do you want coffee take your meds.” She told him and kissed his cheek and went to sit down.

“I know you’re hungry love. It’s coming.” She told Owen when he told his grandmother he was hungry and rubbed his head.

Jake was happy about biscuits and gravy. "I love biscuits and gravy. My mom used to make the gravy even for dinner with instant potatoes. It went far with us kids but was cheaper." He sat down at the table to be out of the way.

"Uhh yeah. Coffee sounds good babe. Thank you. I don't need anything for the pain right now." He told her. "Maybe I'll take some later if I need it." Jake held his hand our for Owen. "Come here buddy. Oma is finishing it up. You have to be patient." Owen looked at Jake then Oma before going over to sit with Jake.

"Daddy has a surprise for mommy. Are you going to help me with it?" Owen looked at him excited. "What is it?" Jake whispered something to him and he just giggled, "Nooo." Whatever Jake told him Owen didn't believe.

In a couple hours she'd be getting pampered and done up. She may like it so much that she wants it for their other wedding.

Adri got Jake some coffee and sat down next to him. She rubbed Jake’s back and watched him whisper to Owen. “What did daddy say?” She asked and tickled Owen’s side. Anything to keep him distracted. If he was hungry a fit wasn’t too far off if food didn’t come soon.

“Do I need to bring anything today?” She asked. “A hammer? Nails?” She asked teasing. “A crown? Pictures at a castle I’ll need a crown.” She said and poked his shoulder.

When oma said breakfast was ready, Adri got up and got owens plate together. It had to cool down before she could give it to him so he wouldn’t be happy about that.

Adri made Jake’s plate after Owen’s cooled down a bit and gave them both at the same time. She went back in and spread some butter and jam on hers and then sat down for breakfast.

Owen looked at Adri and shrugged. "I don't know." It was actually too much for him to try to repeat. "Dragons. Castle." Jake laughed and looked at Adri. "Don't play a game of telephone with him."

Jake shook his head no. "Nope. You don't need anything. In a couple hours your first part of thr surprise will arrive. When it's time, a car will pick you and Oma up. But I'll stop back to get this rascal before that and hopefully shower."

Jake smiled at Adri. "Well thank you baby. I could have gotten ours." Both boys started eating.

Jake had envelopes with instructions written on them and he couldn't wait to give the first to her.

“I was just asking a question.” She said innocently.

“Make sure he drinks water. I don’t want him choking on a biscuit.” She told Jake when she went to get her food.

She ate her biscuit and watched Owen chew his. She tried to drown it in gravy so it wouldn’t get stuck in his throat. He didn’t seem to mind he was eating more gravy than bread. He was quite happy in fact and kept saying mmm.

“That’s how you know it’s good.” She told her grandmother. “Mmmm.” She smiled.

"No I mean if you play a legit game with him you'll lose cause he only gets part of what you say. And he's not even watching his show." Jake chuckled.

Jake watched Owen eat. "Make sure you chew it up. Do you want some juice?"

"Theres no denying him as mine. He loves his food just like I do. And he's not afraid to tell you when he likes it." Jake looked at Owen. "Is it good?"

"Mmmhmm." Jake told him.

"Can I have a bite?"

"Nooo..." He told him and took a bite of his own.

Jake smiled at Adri and Oma. "Yep. He really likes it."

Jake had to helpings and when Owen was done, he cleaned his hands and face before letting him down.

Adri took the plates when they were done. Since Jake did the dishes for dinner, Adri did them for breakfast. She left the food out for Janice and Liam if they wanted breakfast before whatever was happening.

She sat with Owen and watched his cartoon while they waited for Janice. When the doorbell rang Owen ran towards it with Adri behind him.

They asked who it was and when they got a reply, they opened the door and let Janice and Liam in.

“I think he’s almost ready. I’m not sure.” She told Liam.

Jake went up to change and then headed back down as he heard the door. He had an envelope in his hand.

"Hey guys. Liam you're with me. I'll be back in a couple hours." He kissed Adri and Owen. "Owen take this to mama. But she can't open it until we are gone." Owen ran to Jake and got the envelope and then ran to Adri. "Here mama!" He smiled big at Adri.

The guys left in Opa's car to get everything set up. In the envelope was a written card. "Hey love, I know you're wondering what exactly is going on. But I have a few surprises. First is a team to give you a pregnancy massage. Try to relax. You deserve it. I love you...J"

“Thank you O.” She told Owen and rubbed his head. She waited until Jake was gone to read the card and smiled. “What is a daddy doing O?” She asked and tickled him to get the answer out of him.

About a half hour after he left the massage team came to set up a massage table with a hole for Adri’a face an belly. So she could lay on her stomach and relax while they rubbed the tension out of her lower back and shoulders.

He did a very good job picking that team out because by the end she felt like she was floating in a cloud. She didn’t want to get off the table. She could have stayed there all day.

Jake waited a few minutes after leaving and then sent her a playlist on Spotify to listen to while she got her massage and got ready. They were full of love songs and songs that reminded him of Adri.

After her massage, the team gave her another card before leaving.

"I hope you feel more relaxed and refreshed. Soon your makeup and hair team will be back to get you all dolled up. Do your hair however you want and feel comfortable with. Maybe your favorite... Can't wait to see what you picked.

Hope you like the music. Love you.
J"

She had time to shower if she wanted but as the card said, there was a knock and her team from the day before was back and ready to get to work.

Adri thanked them for the note and took a shower after they left. She waited until she was out of the shower to open it up and read it. When she went downstairs the hair and makeup team were already set and waiting for her.

“Let’s just keep it basic, I guess. Do what you did yesterday.” She told them. That was the best bet because it was an easy style to do and the make up was very light and glowy like she wanted.

She tried to pump the team for information, but they weren’t saying anything. She didn’t know if it was because they didn’t know or they were just really good at keeping secrets. They didn’t seem to know what was happening though.

Jake came back while she was getting her hair and make up done. He peeked in at her and just smiled. "Hey beautiful. I'd kiss you but I'm not gonna be responsible for screwing up that make up." He chuckled.

"I'm taking Owen. You only are in charge of yourself. I'll be gone in like five minutes...then you can open this." He kissed her temple and gave her another card. "Love you!"

The card read, "Hey beautiful. Now you need a dress to go with the hair and make up. There will be a team showing up with multiple styles and sizes. Pick whatever one you want. Then put it on. If hair and makeup need to adjust anything, they will stick around for it.

Then pick a new a pair of shoes. The dress and shoes will be yours to keep after the day...

J "

A team showed up to help get her dressed for the photoshoot. They even brought new undergarments that would work with the dress of choice.

Jake took Owen and even snuck the jacket. Jake already had his and Owen's clothes at the castle to change into. It was getting closer and closer and Jake couldn't stop smiling.

“Hi handsome.” She smiled. “You’re taking Owen? He’s not going to help you build anything.” She warned but didn’t argue. Now the suspense was killing her. “I love you too.” Even though you’re keeping me in the dark and it’s really rude!” She yelled as he left to get Owen.

She got finished with hair and and make up and checked herself out in the mirror to make sure she liked it. It was almost the exact same as the previous night so of course she liked it.

She heard more people coming into the house and felt bad for her grandmother who was usually sitting and watching and talking Adri in a corner. When Adri was looking through the dresses, her grandmother helped her pick a few. She had to try them on to make sure they fit. But when she settled on a dress and heels, her grandmother went off to get dressed herself.

She admired the dress and the way it hugged her belly. She never really showed from the front or bad. She had to turn to the side for people to see she was pregnant. The dress with its side cape helped the illusion. She felt like she was getting more maternity photos. And she didn’t mind since it was a castle. That was a cute idea and she would have thought of it herself but she wanted a castle wedding.

She took a couple pictures for herself and sent them to Jake to see if he liked. There were a couple others she picked out in different colors that she was keeping too. She didn’t want to go pink or blue because she didn’t know what they were and didn’t care. White was an easy and simple choice.

Jake chuckled when she commented about being rude. He was quite pleased with how well everything was going. She no clue and he loved it.

At the castle, he got dressed first then got Owen dressed last minute. Jake got a couple of pictures with Owen and himself and then also of Opa.

Jake smiled at the photos she sent him. "You look beautiful. Great choice. Just so you know, I narrowed the selection down...And sorry. You have wait to see your boys."

Little did Adri know that the bottom of her shoes were blue. Oma let her borrow some her jewelry that Adri had loved since she was young.

She was then given a card after everyone had left her grandmas house.

"Hey beautiful.

There should be a car outside to bring you and Oma to the castle. See you soon.

Love J"

There was a blue Mercedes parked outside for the girls.

When they arrived at the castle, a photographer created them. "Adriana? I was hired by Jake. I'm supposed to take a couple pictures of you and grandma before we head inside."

Her grandmother gave her a pearl earring and necklace set to wear. She could remember sitting in her grandmother vanity and holding up all her jewelry to her ears and neck. She finally got to put them on. it was a sweet moment that passed between them.

She read the last card aloud to her grandmother and they went to check out font and saw the blue car. “I think he’s hoping for boys.” She laughed, firmly believing that he was either doing maternity photos or a gender reveal. she changed purses to something smaller that matched her outfit and then they got in the car and drove to Rheinstein Castle on the river.

it was her favorite castle because of the river views. Whatever was happening, Jake already had her seal of approval. She took some pictures with her grandmother against the car and the castle and walking towards the castle, h til the photographer gave them the go ahead to go inside.

When she headed to the door. There was a sign that simply said, "Follow the flowers to find your boys." A trail of red rose pedals lead to a bigger room with rose pedals covering the entry to a balcony. A song played as she stepped into the entry.

On the balcony stood Jake smiling at her. Owen was standing next to Jake in a matching outfit. Jake had a red tie since it was his favorite color but also kept it simple. Opa stood smiling the biggest smile as he saw Adri. Jake couldn't help but tear up, even though he saw the picture of her. She was beyond gorgeous and she made it hard to breathe.

Jake hoped Adri really listened to the music that was playing. When she got to him, he grabbed her hands. "Wow...you look...stunning. I'm one lucky man." His thumb caressed her hands as he looked into her eyes. "The other day, you said you'd marry me, tomorrow. Well it's been a couple days. Marry me. Right here. Right now. By Opa. At your castle. I don't want to wait any longer to make you my wife and let's your first and my last name sounds pretty damn good together." He smiled at her. "What do you say babe?"

Owen looked up at Adri, "Marry daddy!" He smiled big at her.

Adri laughed at the sign and followed the flowers to the balcony that overlooked the river. She didn’t know why she was suddenly getting nervous. Something clicked when she saw her boys, all three, standing at the end of it. She was walking through flowers. She was getting married.

She laughed nervously and kept walking towards Jake and Owen. “What is going on?” She asked and felt her heart pounding in her chest. She squeezed his hands gently and looked down at Owen.

She took a deep breath and felt tears pooling but she looked up so they wouldn’t fall. A fat tear slide down her cheek when Owen told her to marry daddy.

“Of course.” She said and dabbed the year away. Her grandmother handed her a silk hanky and Adri took a deep breath.

“How is he going to marry us? Is this real?” She asked suddenly.

Jake chuckled and reached up to wipe her tear away. "Yeah? You better cause I'm not showing up at a castle again if you say no." He teased.

"We got him ordained last night...online." He chuckled. "But he's also going to say it in German and in English." He told her. "I figured you love your grandparents so much. What better than to have them be our witnesses and have Opa marry us."

"Forgive me. But I stole your wedding coat too...and brought it." He pointed to it hanging up.

Opa smiled proudly. He held a tablet with his lines on it. "Are we ready?"

“You got ordained for us?” She asked her grandfather with a big smile. She gave him a hug and kissed his cheek. And then went back to holding hands with Jake. She’ll get hands were shaking. She was nervous and excited and ready for their future.

“You really thought of everything.” She said softly. Her grandmother picked up the coat and put it on Adri’s shoulders. She wouldn’t last in it because it was hot but it was for the pictures.

“I’m ready.” She smiled at Jake and looked lovingly into his eyes. She squeezed his hands a couple times. They were getting married.

Opa nodded proudly. "I did. It was really easy actually. But definitely worth it to marry my favorite granddaughter away."

Jake felt her hands shake and squeezed them. "Hey...breathe. I got you..." He told her softly. Owen moved over and sat with Oma.

Opa smiled and got started. "Heute treffen wir uns, um Adriana und Jake gemeinsam zu heiraten." He then translated to English for Jake.

"Jake wanted to say his own vows. Adri...do you want to say your own?" Opa asked her.

“Right now?” She asked and took a deep breath. “Yeah. I’ll say my own.” She said softly but didn’t even know what she could say.

“I had no idea when I walked into that gym to be your assistant that this would be the outcome.” She smiled. “You have changed my life in so many ways and helped me grow as a fiancé, a mother and as a woman. We have had our ups and downs but at the end of the day we were riding that roller coaster together. I can’t wait to be Mrs Daniels and meet our little humans and grow our family. I love you Jake. I always have and I always will.” She told him and looked at her grandfather to see if that was good.

She let go of Jake’s hand to wipe her grandfather’s tear away. “No crying. You’ll make me cry.” She told him and looked at jake. If he was tearing up too, she wiped his tears and told him the same thing.
