RE: A World of Orgasm Harvesters
Inside the infirmary, the walls were painted in the school's colors. There were no windows to let in natural light (except for small, rectangular slits of glass on each of the doors), so the room relied mostly on artificial luminescence, which made the place surprisingly dim and somewhat moody compared to the outside. The recent harvester victims were situated in the infirmary beds, and a few moments later Chloe Cotton, a student-nurse, walked through the double doors at the front of the hospital wing. Instantly, Chloe stood out. Unlike the other student-nurses in the room who all wore the standard blue baggy medical scrubs, Chloe wore a soft pink/violet alternative; in fact, Chloe was the only one wearing pink besides the professor/head-nurse who tried to interfere as little as possible to let her students work. It should be noted that these nursing students were top of their class - very experienced with treating victims - otherwise, they wouldn't be in the infirmary at all.
The "unique" outfit Chloe had on was literally meant to signify that she was (most-likely) emanating. Every female nurse had to switch to one of these outfits once they reached the age of twenty. And once they dawned the new outfit, part of their job became to put themselves between other emanating patients and Harvesters. The idea was that these nurses would protect injured or resting people from rape in case of a break-in, and if a nurse wearing the pink/violet uniform was spotted refusing to jump in and protect someone, then they could very easily fail the class (or lose their nursing job). This was the same standard practice used in real hospitals around the world now. Hospitals certainly couldn't have people who were checked into them getting raped. It was a liability. As Chloe kept walking, she brought her hands to her head and scooped her hair up into a pony-tail, then tied it off with a brown elastic hair band similar to her hair color. The next thing she did was examine all of the victims, which was a fairly straightforward task since all of the beds were lined up in a nice even row against the side-wall.
She walked along, scrutinizing the stations and the people in them. She looked very concentrated, so if anybody were to say anything to her at that time she probably would've missed it. Beside each bed, there was a sink and some cabinetry which held basic medical supplies. Between each bed was a drain on the floor and an emergency shower equipped with a smaller hose for more precision use. Chloe walked over to Issy and took a closer look at the acid burn on her ankle. It was only a small, first-degree burn, but it'd have to be treated just the same as any other acid-related injury. Chloe looked at Issy (whether the girl was conscious at this moment or not) and gently informed her that she was going to clean up the wound. First, Chloe took a soft brush (like a makeup brush) and gently dabbed away at the wound to remove any dried chemicals, then she took the small shower hose and ran cold water over the wound for twenty minutes. She put the leg in a sling, left the water on, and had another nurse sub in for her during several of those minutes so she could walk around and check on the others.
Everybody would be asked how they were feeling, and if they needed anything. If applicable - Chloe would provide basic painkillers for any of the victims who asked, and she would certainly be providing Issy with some basic painkillers whether she asked or not; however, if the victims voiced any overly distressing concerns that were seriously out of the school's expertise, they would have to be admitted to an actual hospital by the head-nurse. After the 20 minutes were up, Chloe came over and let Issy's leg off the water then wrapped the wound in a sterile bandage. Once everything seemed in order, Chloe jotted some notes down on a clipboard and returned to the front room where she arrived from originally. The room she went into was actually the front of the Nurse's office where she could admit new patients. This office had an entrance connecting to the school and an entrance connected straight to the outside. Normally, students had to come through the front in order to get admitted for care, but recent rape-victims were an exception - and they entered straight into the back (the infirmary), usually from the outside entrance.
