Guide me. (Furry princess and Ladydark)

He looks down at her as the movie ends, he had been about to turn it off, thinking their time had come to an end. He smiles at her and nods "Sure... I don't have anything pressing tomorrow... Your pick..." He reaches over and hands her the remote, his hand returnin to her ears as she flipped through the choices. He hadn't wanted it to end, they hadn't been this close for this long in months, he looks down at her while she can't see him and silently sighs. 'I have to tell her somehow... Soon...' He thought to himself, he was tired of finding excuses to just be close to her.

"Ummmm How I met your mother." She pointed as he flicked through, it was hard to hide the content smile that wanted to show itself, but she was sure if she did it would give her away in a heartbeat, after about 10 or so minutes into the show her eyes did start getting heavy for real this time, she yawned softly and within another 10 minutes she fell asleep, happily beginning to dream about her and her white knight.

"Sure..." He wasn't really a fan of the show, but he'd sit through Sesame Street if she wanted to watch it, just to be with her. He did start to notice when she was really falling asleep, he switched to softly scratching her ears to help her relax. Once she was asleep he turns the tv off and continues to sit there with her, softly petting her ears and running his fingers through her hair. 'I love you...' He so wanted to say it out loud, scream it for everyone to hear, but he was also afraid, he didn't want to hear her say no, and lose her as s friend as well. He was content to stay her friend if it meant being this close, he just wanted more, some day. After about 40 minutes, he gently lifts her and heads to her room, lays her down, covers her up, and kisses her head before returning to his own room.

Jackie awoke in her own bed, a smile on her lips as she realized what that meant, once again Yoshi had carried her to bed, how she wished that he had decided to carry her to his, to wake in his arms...she sighed happily at the thought before grabbing her pillow and hugging it tightly, after a few minutes passed she jumped to her feet and went to have a shower, stepping out in nothing but a towel she looked around and decided for a bit more of a gothy look today, throwing on some black jeans and a top with some fishnet elbow length gloves.

She was about to leave to make herself some breakfast before catching out of the corner of her eye her workdesk, the unfinished art piece staring her down until she caved and sat down to work despite her starving stomach grumbling for food. 'I can wait just a couple of minutes.' She said to herself, something that had become to common a practice lately.

Yoshi woke a bit later, stretching and heading to the bathroom down the hall, he didn't smell coffee so he believed Kate was still in bed. He smirks slightly and enters the bathroom, what would she say if he had taken her to his room, or they stayed on the couch. He sighs softly and starts on his teeth, glancing out the little window in the bathroom, he smiles. He rinses "Maybe another day in the park... Even with her sketch book..." He chuckles. "I could give her a list of what to draw..." He smiles and starts to get ready, then heads to her room to wake her. "Good Mor...ning... Jackie... Have you even had breakfast yet?" He sighs and crosses his arms, finding her at her desk.

"Morning!" She said in a bright and happy voice. "Huh? Oh no not yet I just wanted to do a bit more on this and then I'll get to breakfast." She said with a smile, acting as if nothing was off in that statement, she hadn't looked up at him at all and was very focused on getting the faces perfectly right in her picture, the female character was coming along perfectly, just how she imagined it.

He sighs again "Fine... You have 20 minutes while I make breakfast... Before I 'order' you out..." He turns to leave the kitchen "Oh, and I'd like to head to the park again today... You can bring your sketch book and one pencil..." He glances back as she walks out, seeing if she reacted at all, then continues to the kitchen, again making some breakfast for the two of them.

"Yeah yeah no problem. I'd like that." She still didn't look up despite the conversation and didn't react at all to the thought of him ordering her out, after 20 minutes she showed no signs of stopping in fact if anything she looked more wrapped up in it then before. She stared down at her page focusing on every minor detail as her pencil made a soft scratch with every motion.

After 30 minutes, and her carrot cake pancakes now cold, he gets up and goes to her room, he stands in the doorway for another 5 minutes. "Jackie... Do I have to book you in advance... Or be paying to to have you pay attention... Your breakfast is now cold... And I'm ready to leave... But I guess you won't be joining me..." He glares slightly, he was hurt, he turns before she answers and head to the door, grabbing his coat.

"Huh?" She didn't look up but was confused as he started the rant when he mentioned her breakfast it felt like her heart stopped for a moment, she finally looked up as he glared at her and began to leave. "W-wait!" She jumped out of her chair and grabbed a pair of black flats before running after him, running back and grabbing her sketchpad and pencil and on the way past shoving a cold pancake into her mouth. "Wait!" She yelled out muffled via pancake as she chased him attempting to juggle all her items and put on her shoes all at once, somehow managing not to fall over but still looked utterly ridiculous.

He stands by the elevator and crosses his arms, hearing her fumble around "That's all I ever seem to be doing with you Jackie... Waiting... But work always seems more important..." He steps inside as the doors open, making sure not to look at her, he was still upset, that she could so easily blow him off.

That one cut her deep, she stepped in after him, still only wearing one shoe and looking down at the ground, almost teary eyed. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to I just..." It was clear she was on the verge of crying despite her attempts to hold it back, it wasnt just the fact he was angry with her but the fact that despite everything she still got so wrapped in work with such ease that left to her own devices she could forget about him completely.

"Just what Jackie... Why is it so important..." He says softly, then looks up at her and sighs again, he pulls her closer for a soft hug before the doors open again. "Forget it... Lets just enjoy the day..." He lets her go as they slide open and he heads out. "I'll get us that ice cream today... ok?"

"I don't know." She said on the verge of tears before his hug made her feel a little better. "O-okay." She said hugging him back before following behind him, even now there was a part of her fighting to just go back, finish off her drawing, a part of her that was painfully hard to resist even though she knew it should be something she could ignore with ease. "I don't mean to. It isnt even what I want to do..." She attempted to make some sort of defense even if he had already let it go. "I dont want it to run my life its just...its not easy saying no to, and I'm sorry about that..."

"You are letting it run all over you... It even tells you how high to jump..." He looks back at her "We'll have to work on it a bit more... But that's for another time... Today is for enjoying... Let's go.." They head to his car and get in, the park was a bit of a drive.

Jackie nodded as he told her how insane it was that her desire to work had such a brutal hold of her. "Y-yeah lets go." She said before getting into the car and finally putting on her other shoe and trying to think of another topic they could talk about, looking around and catching a glimpse of her shirt in the sun visor mirror. "What do you think of my shirt? Pretty cute right?" It may have been a transparent excuse of an attempt but it was worth a try.

He glances at her and smiles slightly "Anything you wear is cute..." He chuckles lightly and continues to drive, she looked nice "So... A bunny wearing a kitty... And in black... Being bold today?" She normally wore softer colours and not many animal prints.

"I wanted to wear something cute but like gothy, dunno weird mood." Jackie shrugged as she looked out of the window. "It's looking a bit overcast today. "Hopefully what I have is warm enough." after they arrived Jackie set herself up under her favorite tree, the cool air was so refreshing as she looked out over the small man made lake and the few ducks that sat on its waters, it was a very beautiful day despite the powerful grey that coloured the sky.

"It should be fine... News said it should pass us over..." He goes to get their ice cream while she gets ready, soon bringing it back and passing her one. "So... What are you drawing today... Can't be anything paid for!" He gives her a slight look and takes a seat by her, on a different side of the tree.

"I'll be good, I don't have my commission sheets here anyway." It still hurt hearing him instantly jumping to the conclusion but she couldn't say she didn't understand why. "I was thinking I might just draw the park, get the lake, some of the playground, colour it with water colours. What do you think?" She asked as she started licking her ice cream, it tasted so good she couldn't help but wiggle her feet.

He smiles, already eating his own "Sounds nice... Maybe we can put that on the wall... It would brighten the room up a lot... And it doesn't have to be perfect..." He pauses a moment "Usagi... Draw for yourself... Art should be for joy, not just a job..." He used to love the light in her eyes when she was doodling or sketching back in school, now it was just work, and everything had to be perfect.

Jackie tapped the pencil against her lip as she looked down at the empty page trying to figure out just how to go about this, details to add or remove, occasionally licking her ice cream as she did. "Thanks Yoshi, I'll make sure to make something we'll both like." She smiled taking his words to heart as she finished her ice cream and getting started, she drew a quick and rough outline of the scene but added 2 people hugging by the water, with a bit of added detail it was easy to tell one of them was her, her ears were so easy to pick out, and after a little bit of effort she made the small representation of Yoshi look similar enough to be picked out too. "What do you think so far?" She asked, this was really pushing the limits of her not making her feelings obvious, but on the other hand she knew that Yoshi was reasonably...naive. She begun again adding in little details, a big smile on her face as she worked on it and that loving spark reigniting in her eye, interrupted by a few drops of water falling into the page.

"Huh?" She asked before looking up and seeing the huge rain cloud over them, perfectly timing it as it suddenly began to pour, the rain was heavy enough that her work was almost instantly destroyed but she didn't care as she jumped to her feet and ran into the rain. "Best day ever!" She shouted happily spinning as everyone around her ran for cover, there was nothing she loved more then being caught in the rain, as Yoshi yelled out from under the tree she ran back, tapping him lightly on the chest before sprinting away as fast as she could. "Your it!"

He smiles and relaxes to finish his ice cream, turning to her when she asked his opinion on her sketch so far, he smiles as he looks it over. "It looks great... I love the happy couple..." He was about to look up to see who she was sketching when he heard her, next he knew it was pouring and she was running off. "Jackie! Jackie get back here... We need to... What?!" He stares after her as she tags him, it was pouring and she wanted to play tag!? He stood up to go after her, when he saw how happy she looked, how truly happy she was. "Jackie..." He whispers softly, that was the Jackie he had missed so much, happy and care free, he smiles brightly. "You asked for it!" He runs out after her, laughing "I'm gonna get you bunny!"

She could barely him beneath the heavy rain, but was so glad he decided to chase her rather then be like the boring people running inside, it was a warm shower its not like they were going to freeze from it. Jackie looked back to see him catching up, she turned and ran for the playground, quickly scaling it and shouting neener neener while poking her tongue out, as he climbed after her she jumped down the enclosed slide and ran a bit more before running out of breath, turning back to see him still chasing after her, he was so much fitter then her. She couldn't help but smile feeling like her real self again

Yoshi was having a blast, chasing her around, it was like old times, his happy and playfu bunny was back and quickly making up for being gone. "Oh you tricky..." He couldn't fit down the slide like she could, he jumped down and continued to run after her. "I'm gonna get yo...! Shit!" He had noticed her stopped up a head to catch her breath, he tried to slow down to give her a minute, but hit a slippery patch. Trying to keep his balance and running towards her, he was going to run right into her. "Jackie!" He reaches out and grabs her, pulling her close to protect her as they started to tumble down the small hill behind them.
