“Paintings.” Adri answered curtly.
She frowned, “Boo. I was so looking forward to having to replace everything.” She sighed. She had to explain to her mother what they were talking about. And even her mother agreed that shipping clothes could be a dangerous task.
“So since everyone is here. I feel like I should tell you, thank you for coming support me. Not that you had the opportunity to say no to me. It means a lot that family is here. And we can’t wait to show you the cabin this Christmas. It’s so pretty and there will be snow, whether it’s natural or manmade is still to be seen but we are going to enjoy it. That’s for sure.” She told her family.
“And is you have an alcohol request send it to me through text. I’m stocking the bar soon.” She told them.
“Oh eggnog. Classic holiday staple.” Stacey said.
“Kommt sie zu Weihnachten nach Denver?” Adri asked looking at Drew.
“Ja. Sie ist. Sie ist ein Teil dieser Familie. Sie kommt zu Weihnachten.” Drew said defensively.
“Familie? Du rufst jetzt ihre Familie an? Das ist reich. Wie lange wird dieser Drew noch dauern?” Adri asked.
“Genug!” Their mother interjected. “I taught you better. Andrew you be grateful Adri brought you here, paid for a room for you and your guest. Adrianna you stop picking at him.”
“That’s it?” Drew asked. “That’s all She gets? How about being friendly to Stacey? Showing an ounce of kindness?”
Adri made a face, “Why should I? She came into our parents home. Took a picture of me and sold it for profit. And you don’t care. You’re supposed to be on my side. Not some stripper who supposed to be a one night stand!” Adrianna argued.
“Shut up, Adrianna.”
“No you shut up, Drew.”
Richard hit the table and pointed at the both of them, “You can both shut up and act right.” He growled and got them both quiet. “We are on public and you two are acting like children. You need to stop. Now!” He said in a tone that meant no arguing.
