Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 3) WF+GF

This wasn’t how she expected their dinner to go. She should not have brought New York up. She knew he wouldn’t want to leave his family. She nodded her head to a compromise.

“It’s okay. As long as the entire list isn’t country music we are good. The DJ will put a mix together of your song. I might make a list and he can compile them both. Who knows. He will figure it out though.” She told him.

“Most grooms do. There is a traditional cake that is white and pretty. The one we will cut into and then there is the grooms cake that groom picks out and designs however he wants.” She told him. “Your cake, your flavor, your design. It’s all you.” She told him.

“Unless you don’t want it. But I don’t see why you wouldn’t want it.”

Jake gave her a nod. "Yeah. I'm sure they both have done plenty of weddings to know what is in and what isn't to play."

"Is it women's way of shutting their future husbands up since he will have some thing to plan and pick out? They then can't say they didn't get to plan or pick anything out?" He asked.

When they brought him his whiskey he smelled it before taking a long drink. "I haven't thought about how I would design it. I didn't know I was getting a cake all to myself. I may just pick the flavor and let you pick something that won't clash with everything else."

“Pretty much.” She laughed and looked at Jake. “It’s somethjbg you have complete control of. It’s your thing. I can’t say anything about it. It’s all for you.” She told him.

She sighed when he said he would let her design it. “That’s not the point Boo. It’s your cake. It doesn’t have to match the theme of the wedding. It can be whatever you want. If you want it.” She told him. “You don’t have to have one. I’m not forcing it on you.”

Their salads were taken away and replaced with their entrees. She rubbed her lips together and poked at her meal. She couldn’t eat all of it because she couldn’t look bloated for the show. This wasn’t the way she expected dinner to go. There was tension because she brought up moving and if she could go back in time she wouldn’t have brought it up.

Jake gave a nod. "I'll look online and see what ideas I can come up with. Cake design isn't exactly my thing but maybe I can find a simple idea that fits me."

He started to eat and remained rather quiet for a bit. "If you do have free time tomorrow what do you want to do with the family? Is it something you want to do with just your family or your parents? Everyone?"

With training and the fight, Jake only ate what made him satisfied. "Do we have to rush back so you can rest?" He asked her. Looking in her eyes a moment.

She shook her head and shrugged her shoulder, “I really don’t know. I haven’t thought about it.” She said softly. “I want to take them somewhere. Everyone, minus Drew and Stacey if possible.” She rolled her eyes.

She shook her head to resting, “No. I need to leave in the late afternoon tomorrow and then I’ll probably go straight to bed. I’ll be gone the following day all day because of the show.” She told him.

She ate a little and looked at Jake, “Do you have any ideas of what we should do tomorrow?” She asked. “I’m hoping we have time for lunch somewhere. I know mom will want to do a tea time. I think I can sneak her, Eileen and Amy out for a night time tea before we leave.” She would just have to find a spot and see if they would stay open for her.

Jake knew that would start a lot of problems to try to get everyone minus the two of them together. "Well my family will understand if they have to find something else to do." He offered.

"No babe, I meant tonight. Do we need to head back to the hotel right away? Or do we have time to go for a walk or take a night time ride on the London Eye?" He asked.

He thought about it. "Do we have time for a show? That's just the first thing to come to mind that maybe everyone would want to do. Or there is the Aquarium. I do want to kind of go check out London Dungeon and Torture Museum. I'm surprised you don't want to go to Harrod's. But I'm sure though it would be more work than shopping with Fashion Week."

"It's not like I'll be there for most of it Jake. You guys go out and have fun. I told you that already." She knew what she was here for. It sucked that she couldn't spend time with their families but she was there to work. This was a work trip. Work came first. "I'm sure everyone will break off and do their own thing." She added. Her brothers wouldn't stick together. She knew that.

"I was saying that I am free tomorrow morning and afternoon so if you want to do something we can. We can ride the London Eye. That would be fun." She told him.

"What show?" She laughed. "I don't have time for a show. That might be something you take your family too while mine explores. Hamilton is at the West End. I'm sure you can find some tickets to that." Of course she would love to do some shopping but she was working. "I can go shopping in New York. I'm looking forward to it actually." She smiled.

"So you put me in charge of keeping everyone happy. Thanks." He teased. "Yeah I figured they'd branch off eventually. We will figure it out."

Jake nodded to her being free in the morning. "I just didn't know if this was only dinner or if I get you a little longer. Im grateful for anything. Thank you for this. It's been amazing. Miss Secretive." He teased.

"I'm just sharing ideas of what I want to do that could be for the whole family. Like the Aquarium. Your son would love that. You asked if I had ideas. We don't have to go to a show. Just something I thought a group could do. We can see a show back home. Im going to let everyone decide."

“You’re welcome. And then the tables will turn in New York.” She reminded. But his family had been plenty of times. So had hers but never together like this and never for Jake. It would be an interesting trip.

“I’m glad you like it.” She told him and took a big sip of her wine. She didn’t want it at first but it was nice to have.

Letting everyone decide would take forever but it was probbaly his best bet. “Who knows maybe the rehearsal will get cancelled and it will just be final fittings and I can come back and have dinner with every one.” She shrugged her shoulder.

“I would like everyone to go dinner together but if I’m not there I didn’t want that to be the person that made everyone he dressed and didn’t go herself. It sucks but the next trip won’t be so chaotic. Mainly because we will be in a cabin together and everything we will want to do will be in the backyard. Fire pit, snow, I don’t know what else yet.”

He ate and took a drink. "Yeah but really we won't have as hectic of a schedule in New York. One thing once a day really. But I know I will be in your shoes there and not really be worried about everyone and just need to worry about me."

"Maybe. That would be nice. Well I'll let you know where we go and if you can make it we will love to have you. Well most of us will love to have you....Stacy may not..." He chuckled, "But she could just go somewhere else."

Jake thought about it. "We need to get some sleds. For sure. Maybe some games. Plenty of alcohol." He chuckled.

"Is three nights okay for our NC trip?"

She nodded her head, “That would be nice. Thank you.” She told him. “Yeah like back to Vegas.” She rolled her eyes and took another sip of wine. “Why would bring her? Why would he think that’s okay?” She said annoyed at her brother and the situation.

“I didn’t think of sleds.” She said softly and pulled out her phone to add that to the list for the house. Sleds would be nice. “Bar is getting completely stocked. I have apple cider on order and this hot cocoa from Germany. The best thing you will ever taste. I might even give Owen a small cup. He might like that. A Christmas special.”

She nodded her head, “Yeah that’s good.” She thought about it and checked her phone to make sure she blocked the days off.

Jake shook his head. "He is blinded by her ass probably. But I don't know. He will get burned himself and learn. Or maybe they both just really needed the money. I don't know. I would love to find a logical explanation but I don't have one. It just pisses me off that he is hurting you that badly."

"Since we will be somewhat close to Tennessee while in North Carolina and get some moonshine." Jake wiggled his eyebrows. "That would warm ya up!" He chuckled. "They do have flavored moonshine that you may like. We can go to Gatlinburg to get it."

"I figured you had time off because I did tell you to take time off but I didn't know. I know things come up sometimes." He looked out the window a moment. "We need to come here when neither of us are working." He smiled and looked at her. "Maybe just the two of us."

“So you have been looking at her ass?” Adri asked with a straight face and then laughed intoned glass as she took a sip of wine. “It’s fake.” She told him. “Just like her boobs. I should pop her implant.” She thought aloud.

“Apple pie moonshine. That would be good. Plain moonshine is gross and burns your throat. Apple pie though, that will be good.0 she agreed and out that on the list.

“That would be nice. It is a beautiful city that I haven’t gotten to see very much. It’s just a pain not being able to do anything like a normal person. You know?” She told him. “That’s why I want a nice far away honeymoon where we will hardly get noticed.”

Jake shook his head and rolled his eyes. "No. But I think your brother is more of an ass guy than a boob guy. One good thing is the money she got didn't go to them so you wouldn't be wasting that money by popping them."

He laughed, "They have other flavors. Blackberry, peach, fireball, and more I can't think of at the time."

"Is that something I really am in charge of?" He laughed. "Or did I dream that too?" He laughed again. "It's pretty far. We may get recognized cause I mean...empire." He smiled, "But not a lot of people should recognize us. We should be able to go to a club and be fine. We should lie and say we are just look a likes." He laughed.

“We you’ve thought about what kind of guy my brother is?” She laughed. “Gross. What are you?” She asked curiously. “Ass or boob? I’m add obviously I love your big booty. It’s not even big though. It’s just...toned. And round. It’s nice. Fills out your pants really nicely.” She smiled.

“Anything but plain. Maybe I can get a case of every flavor. We can have a moonshine taste test.” She smiled.

She raised her eyebrows, “No honeymoon was definitely yours. So it’s nit an island getaway?” She asked. An island could have a club but that’s not what you go to an island for. She was going to let him plan it but she hated not knowing what they were doing.

Jake smiled and thought about it. "I like both. I've always been a boob guy. But with you I've become an ass guy. You have a nice tone ass as well. We're nice toned ass people."

"I like plain. I'll drink it." He smiled. "I do have an idea for dad and the bar. You know I like my soda. What if we make our own hard soda just for the bar like on tap. If it is doable. Or we can maybe team up with Henry's to get out new flavors. It would maybe set the bar apart and be a little unique."

"It is beachy and an island. That's all you know. I only used club cause it was the first thing to come to mind with a lot of people. It was not at all a hint by any means. There may not even be a club there. Pack for hot weather and sand. Sunglasses. Bikinis. Shorts. Aloe for your pastey white husband." He laughed.

“Plain burns like a bitch though.” She frowned and shrugged her shoulder. “Might be good mixed into stuff. But plain alone. It makes my throat burn just thinking about it.” She laughed.

“That would be cool. You should look into that.” She told him with a smile.

“My poor pasty white husband. I’ll pack the really good sunscreen too. No sunburns for you.” She smiled. “Sounds like I need to do some shopping.” She smiled. She typically went to islands for photo shoots so it would be nice to go for a vacation.

Jake laughed, "Well you're a wimp." He teased. "I like it. I mean, I do like things that burn, like workouts."

"Yeah? You think it's a good idea? I think it could attract to some of the women customers too that may not like beer." He shrugged with the idea but smiled.

He laughed. "Yeah? Good thinking baby." He laughed. "That's why I thought maybe you'd have to check out Harrod's. I didn't know if you could pass on a mall that big and not go shopping. Any reason to shop and you're there." He chuckled. "I'm not telling you much more though. I'm not sure if you've been there...so it may be some place new. I know I haven't been. It is out of the country."

She nodded her head, “Yeah. I think that would be a good way to make it open for all people. Even I might go there.” She teased. “Look into something that makes your place unique. That would be best.” She told him.

“I can’t wait to see it.” She smiled.

“Are you ready?” She aske. She was finished eating. She finished her wine and grabbed her purse. “I need to go give them to the chef and then we can go. She pulled out an envelope and took it to the chef. Another went to their server and the manager.

She went back to Jake and held her hand out to him. “The London Eye and then the hotel?” She asked. She had a long day, she was tired but if he wanted to the eye then she could wait until then.

"No you can't go. I'm going to go there to get away from you." He dropped his jaw at the diss. "Just kidding. But if we're fighting I would probably go there...that part is true."

"You'll love it. I promise."

He finished his drink and gave her a nod. "Yep." Standing up he brushed his clothes off as he waited for her. "What did you give them?"

He took her hand and gave her a nod. "Yeah sounds good." The London Eye would only take 30 minutes to go around. Once they got there and got their tickets. Jake paid more to have the entire ball to themselves.

Going in he smiled at her as it started to go up. The city really was beautiful with all the lights. "This is pretty awesome." His arms went around Adri from behind looking out the windows with her.

“I bet it is true. Then I’ll just show up to annoy you.” She threatened. “Let’s sre how you like that.” She laughed.

“Their checks for the night.” She told him and checked he rmake up in he dlittle mirror before they left.

“Yeah it is.” She looked out at the city with a smile. She took a picture of their view and then of them and the view. It was nice not having to fight anything me for a chance to see it. She fought a yawn and rubbed his hand.

Her phone started to ring and she picked it up, “Hello?...okay...yeah I understand. Thank you. Goodbye.” She rolled her eyes and put her phone away.

“I don’t think I’ll be around for dinner tomorrow.” She sighed. “Another full runghrough after fittings.

Jake rolled his eyes and sighed. "I'll make sure to tell the doorman to not let you in if we're fighting." He chuckled. "How you like that?!"

He gave her a nod. "I got ya. I didn't know if you were giving them tickets to the show for staying open for us."

One of the photos he kissed her cheek. He was so in love with that woman. She made him very happy.

He pulled away to let her answer the phone, when she hung up he looked over at her. "Seriously?" He groaned and let out a sigh. "Well I'll bring you something back so you can still eat something. I know it's not the same but at least it's something. Better than room service. That okay?" Jake wasn't bummed cause he couldn't get food with her but cause she didn't get time with her family and she deserved a break too.

“Doormen are easy. I’ll bribe him.” She smiled.

She laughed and shook her head, “The show is sold out. There are no more tickets.”

She nodded her head, “Yeah that’s fine.” She said softly. She knew it could happen. She hoped it didn’t. “At least I get to see them tomorrow morning and afternoon. More time with Bruno I guess.” She shrugged her shoulder and looked out the window at the view.

"Then I'd fire him. You wouldn't want to be the reason this guy can't support his family would you?"

"I didn't know if you had a stash...considering our family is going to be half the room basically." He laughed.

It still sucked even if she knew it would be a possibility. "Yeah that's true. And you have New York to boss them around and take about." He chuckled and put his arm around her. "Tonight was our date here in London and in New York our date is going to be Chipotle." He laughed, "I'm getting off easy in New York." He chuckled but honestly those dates were the best.

"Thanks for agreeing to come with me here. This is nice."

“You would fire him? Wow. Such an ass.” She laughed.

“I think my family makes up half of the audience.” She laughed. “Your side is hat going to have to ftake guy for seats.”

She nodded her head, “Yeah. Why do you get the easy date? I was working and pulled this together.” She teased. “You better shut down chipotle.” She laughed. Yeah right, shuttling down a place like chipotle would cost a lot more than keeping a restaurant open past closing.

“I’m glad we got some time together.” She said softly. Their ride was coming to an end. She took one last picture with Jake and held his hand.
