Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 3) WF+GF

"What?!" He acted hurt and offended. "O...mommy doesn't think daddy is good looking."

He gave her a nod. "Sure. Let's do it. Maybe it could be just us then? I don't want to have anyone get jealous." He told her with a serious face. "Seriously though, you do need to find a dress or at least a damn color so I know what I'm wearing." He gave her a glare. "Otherwise I won't have a tux and will have to go naked."

Jake chuckled and shook his head. "I don't know if it will work that way." He took the fry and smiled as he ate. "It is pretty good. You're ready. I think one bite won't kill you if you want a legit bite baby. If you're super worried I can work you out when we get back to the hotel." He gave her a wink.

She dramatically rolled her eyes, “I know. I know. I’m working on it. I’ve flipped through countless magazines. I’m trying. There is a bridal show right after New Years I’ll take mom and go see what I can find.” She promised. “But naked will be a good backup plan. At least we can both agree on it.” She laughed.

She probably could afford one bite but she was too in her head at this point to risk it. “I can’t. You know that and I think tomorrow I will be pure liquid. But that might add water weight. I don’t know. I have to ask the girls. Maybe breakfast, skip lunch and have dinner after the show.” She thought about it. “An orange. I can eat an orange.” She nodded to herself and had another bite of salad.

“What about you baby boo?” She asked Owen. “Is that yummy?” She asked him and he smiled and said mmm.

He laughed. "Just give me a color." He told her to compromise. "That's all. You don't have to pick the dress just the color." He smiled.

He knew one bite wouldn't add on weight but trying to explain that to her especially now wouldn't never be any good. "You could eat a banana. Or watermelon, apples, celery, and carrots don't add calories. Those are safe." He smiled. "You need to eat babe. At least something."

Jake smiled at Owen. "You love food like daddy huh? Doesn't matter what it is you love it." He smiled at Jake and kept feeding himself. "He's getting better using silverware. Sometimes he just gives up and uses his hands though."

"Where do you want to go for dinner so we can get you some good food tomorrow?"

“I have to pick the dress to know the color. What if I tell you white and then turn around and fall in love with a pink gown? It’s difficult.” She told him.

“Then I need to get some fruit before we head to the hotel. I won’t be able to wait for room service and I’m not trying to bite your head off tomorrow.” She chuckled. “Grapes would be nice. Oranges, grapes, and carrots.” She smiled.

“I don’t know. You can surprise me if you want. But I guess since you are breaking your diet today, I can eat anything tomorrow night. I’m not trying to not get too excited about it because I’ll get hungry and angry because I can’t have what I really want.” She shrugged her shoulder.

She smiled at Owen and rubbed his cheek, “As long as he gets food in his mouth and not on the floor I’m happy. That was a painful and long teaching lesson.” She said referring to the first couple of weeks letting him feed himself and he would toss the food on the floor for the dogs.

He shook his head with a mouth full of food. "You can't wear pink. It will clash with our colors. Sorry." He smiled at her.

"We can stop. Or I can have Casey get it. That's what I pay him for. I need to tell him what I need in the hotel for weigh ins and fight day too." He set a reminder to tell him when they got to New York. "I know. Today is your weigh in. Tomorrow is your fight. I get it." He smiled. "Coconut water too babe. And almonds. Heck I want that for myself."

"I'll ask the hotel for recommendations. Then have Casey make reservations for all of us. Drew and crew too." He chuckled at his clever rhyme. "That's what I'm calling them now. Drew and Crew." He cracked himself up. "But yes you can have a cheat night. I should have waited and cheated tomorrow with you. I didn't plan very well."

Jake looked at Owen. "Yeah it helps no one is here to pick up the mess. He made it a game. Plus you know who is his bro so he had to help his bro out. That could be code for you know who. So we don't have to spell cause the last letter kinda gives it away..." He told her with a smile as he ate.

She raised her eyebrows, “I will wear a green dress if that’s the color I fall in love with. Don’t even. And you’ll be in green too. With our red and black wedding colors.” She laughed. “I will commit wedding color suicide. Don’t tempt me.” She warned playfully.

She made a face, “We can leave Drew. I’m fact. I think we can just leave him and her here entirely. Just sneak everyone out one day and accidentally forget them here.” She shrugged her shoulder and laughed. “It’s a good idea to me.”

She nodded her head, “I like that.” She smiled. “Until he gets a human bro and then we will need a new code word.” She chuckled.

“Damn. If we have a million kids we are going to need a million names. We might have to start giving them numbers. Or give them weird names, like papér. Put a thing on the e to make it fancy.” She laughed.

He chuckled. "Okay...whatever you want baby. If it's green you want you get it. Except green makes me look fat." He teased. "So I'm not wearing green."

Jake thought about it. "Or put them on a plane to somewhere else. Like Vegas...not New York." He loved that idea.

"Hopefully he gets his sister first and then we won't need to change it for a bit. Until we have to use it for our baby girl." Jake smiled. "Our daughters are going to need locked up forever or her brothers will be worse than yours."

"Woah woah woah. You first said like sixty. Now we are at a million. Damn babe. So much for modeling. You'll be popping out kids too much to model more than maternity clothes." He smiled. "I love you but no baby. No million kids. What would you want to name our future babies?"

"I look....terrible in green. So it won't be green. That should make you happy right? We crossed a color off the list." She smiled. She was happy with her progress.

"North Korea, maybe? Then they'll never come back." She smiled.

"That would be nice but I don't know. Odds are against us. On all sides." She laughed.

"Did I forget to tell you I bumped the number up? Oops. Yeah a million Boo. You have like more than a million little swimmers. I might need a little help in the egg department but we can a million. Or die trying." She wiggled her eyebrows.

She checked the time and pouted, "It's almost time Boo. How is your fish and chips?"

"Damn time. At least we're getting closer." He smiled.

Jake laughed. "I like that idea. We easily could pull it off. Just hand them a ticket I'm sure they wouldn't look at it." He chuckled.

"Maybe just maybe we will be surprised." He squeezed her hand.

"If we have a million I'm going to need to put some swimmers in the bank to reference back. But I want to at least practice it all natural even if we can't have babies natural." He smiled and wiggled his eyebrows back at her. I'll be in jail if we had a million girls...damn it." He sighed.

He grumbled. "No baby...not yet." He smiled. "The best I ever had..." He smiled and finished up his food. "Owen is tearing up his food. Our little piggy. I think he's growing. You growing buddy?" He smiled at Jake. "I think that's a yes."

She nodded her head, "That's true. But natural is best. We will practice and practice and practice until we just explode out a million babies." She raised her eyebrows, "I think I might start ripping my hair out at 5000 girls. No way I can afford them all. We'd be in the poor house." She told him.

"Soon, Boo." She finished her salad and watched Owen finish his food up. She pulled out a baby wipe and wiped his hands and face off. He didn't enjoy that but he was clean when she pulled him out of the high chair.

"I think he is growing. He feels heavier." She kissed his cheeks and handed him to Jake. She out cash on the table to cover their food and a decent tip. She grabbed the diaper bag and she was ready for a stroll back to the apartment.

She held his hand and gave it a squeeze. "Thank you for a wonderfully peaceful lunch." She smiled at him. "I needed that. It cleared my head out a little bit."

"Of course. I can't wait for the wedding to start trying. It nay be a little bit before it takes but oh the fun we will have trying." He smiled. "We should probably ask the clinic when a good time for us to try is. Like with your monthly and stuff. Everyone is different. It may be first of the month or end or middle." He finished his water.

"I know. I'm just going to miss you. It will be weird being in New York without you and doing the events without you. But you'll see me knock his ass out." He whispered ass.

Jake took Owen. "Mommy said you're getting fat." He teased and smiled. "Just kidding. But we think you're growing. We will have to measure you at home. Have you gotten taller? Mommy won't like her baby is getting big." He kissed his head.

He kissed her cheek and squeezed her hand. "Of course. I got you babe. Anything else I can get you to destress tomorrow to have in our room?" He asked. Jake understood the nerves and not wanting to gain weight.

They got back to the hotel and Jake got his idea for the restaurant for the next night. Once in the room he shot Casey a text of what they needed after he put Owen down and he just fussed. "Someone needs a nap."

“I know and I’m missing the events I can actually stand to watch. The weigh in and the press conference.” She pouted. “Those are always the best.” She sighed. “I’ll guess I will just have to watch them on my phone.”

She hit Jakes arm, “Dont day that to him. I did not. Rude!” She told him. “We should get one of those paper charts that we put on the wall to measure him. See how fast he grows.” She smiled. “He’s got big feet like his daddy that’s for sure. Those things will never stop growing.”

Owen ran to Adri doing a fake cry because Jake put him down. She picked him up and rubbed his back. She took him into the bedroom and laid him horizontally on the bed. He started whining again when she left him. She got off the bed and held onto her leg.

“Yeah he needs a nap. You know we could always fly to Italy and get pizza tomorrow night. True Italian pizza. It’s only a two hour flight so it would be like four in the morning pizza but it would be delicious.”

"I'm sorry babe. Definitely watch it online on your phone. Plus you'll get to see me in my underwear at weigh ins." He gave her a look. "I know you won't pass up an opportunity to see that." His eyebrows wiggled.

Jake laughed, "Ow. Owen you saw it. Mommy hit me." He chuckled. "I was only kidding. He knows that. "I've kept track in the gym. We can transfer it to a paper chart."

"Owen. Want to watch Paw Patrol with daddy? We have to lay down if we watch though. Okay?" He held his hand out to Owen. "I would love that. Think the family would be for it?"

She rolled her eyes, “Owen, Daddy called you fat. Okay. And don’t push. That’s not nice.” She told Owen and gave him a kiss.

“You kept track in the gym? At home? Of his height?” She asked. “And I haven’t seen it. Or noticed it. I’m not very observant now am I?” She chuckled.

Adri did a quick change so she looked dressed up but not too fancy to walk into her last rehearsal. “Those we I citebwould be, yes. How about you figure it out with the plane and everything. We can go to the after party for an hour or so and then we can head to Italy for some real Italian pizza. And you might want to call somewhere to make sure they are still open.” She laughed. “I’d hate to get there and have everything be closed.” She gave him a kiss and gave Owen a kiss.

"I did not! Mommy did." He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Jerk." He nudged her butt.

He gave her a nod. "Yeah. Yeah my home gym. Of his heigh yes. Not his feet." He rolled his eyes. "You're too busy working out. Checking out yourself and my butt in the mirror." He teased.

"We're taking the private? Wait? Why the hell am I doing it? I have Casey that I pay to do that." He sent him a text to make it happen and have some place stay open for them if they needed. He'd pay for it. Jake kissed her back and then got Owen to lay down with him and watch tv. "He will be out in no time..."

“Nudging isn’t nice either daddy.” She told Jake.

She nodded her head, “Your butt is very distracting.” She smiled and wanted to squeeze but she kept her hands to herself.

“Yes. How else are we going to get to Italy that late at night? The show should be over around ten. The girls stay back and for like an hour it’s all press and pictures and then the after party until midnight maybe. We fly to Italy which will take two hours get our pizza and get you back here before your flight in the morning. It’ll be a long night for you but you have a long baby less flight to New York to sleep through.” She smiled.

“I love you. Have a good night. Don’t go to crazy without me.” She told him and grabbed her purse. She was out the door and headed to rehearsals which would take up most of the rest of her day.

"Who claimed to be nice?" He asked with a smile.

Jake was a bit surprised she didn't squeeze it. "You feeling okay?" It was very unlike her.

"That's just a lot of people to get in the private. You're lucky I love you. I'll feel like a sardine in a sardine can. With no sleep. I'll be starving." He teased but smiled at her. "You are lucky I love you though." He chuckled.

"Love you too babe. Have a good time." He looked at Owen, "Tell mommy bye. Tell her you love her." Owen waved and said "Yuve you." Jake smiled and got him to lay down and eventually fall asleep for a nap. Jake took one with him which was nice with the time difference.

When the two woke up he met everyone down at the pool to swim as it started to rain so it made outside activities limited.

“Oh please it’s big enough for everyone. You will not feel like a sardine. You are just used to flying in it alone. It will fit everyone.” She used her fingers to count out how many people would end up going. “We might lose a couple brothers to the after party.” She told him and shrugged her shoulder. “Hopefully.” She smiled.

Adri spent the rest of the night at rehearsals. She had to run through the show twice with the girls. The technical glitches and music problems were a thing of the past. It was pretty late when they finished the show and some of the girls wanted to go out. Adri guesses her family was asleep. When she sent Jake a text and didn’t get a reply so she went out with the girls and Bruno Mars, since he was one of their musical guests.

Paparazzi was stalking them outside of the venue so the second they all stepped out together it was nothing but flashing lights. They went to a popular nigh club and had a couple drinks and danced for a little bit. Adri stayed for an hour or two and had some fun and then she went back to the hotel.

She had a little alcohol on her breath and she was trying to be careful and quiet when she stripped and got in the bed.

Jake took the family to dinner after swimming and he wasn't too hungry from eating with Adri so he just had a small salad. Afterwards he went back to the room with Owen and the two hung out and Owen played. It was a little weird to be in another country and in a hotel room without Adri but they were there for her. He wanted to support his girl.

He was asleep in bed with Owen when she climbed into bed. The two boys fell asleep watching tv. Jake smiled when he felt her climb in. "Hey..." He smiled and got up to put Owen in his pack and play. "Late night huh?"

When he crawled back in he kissed her and could smell the alcohol. "Did you go out?"

“Hi.” She smiled and watched him get up with the glow of the TV illuminating him. “Very.” She looked at the clock to see what time it was. “It two.” She told him. She was slightly drunk because she had been eating so little and the two drinks had a pinch to them.

“Yeah. We went out with everyone and had some fun. And they are still out but I’m home. Hotel home.” She smiled and poked Jake’s bottom lip.

“What did you guys do tonight? Have fun? He is ticketed out.” She laughed softly. She rubbed Jake’s abs and kissed his neck. “It’s too bad I have a show tomorrow.” She sighed and dragged her finger down his abs.

“We could be like high school kids and make out though. And grind a little bit. Have some clothes on fun.” She giggled.

"I see that." He told her and sighed a little to her going out. He was stuck at the hotel and she went out to have fun. He tried to not let it get to him too much.

Jake sighed. "Yeah. Everyone had fun at the pool. We had a big pool party. Your son was a little fish. He kept wanting to jump in."

"You have a show tomorrow. It's late babe." He told her quietly trying to be responsible and respectful of her having a show. "You should get some sleep. And if you wake Owen up, I won't be happy. He was a bit fussy again after we got back here from dinner."

She nodded her head and smiled. She had fun and she was able to forget about her nerves because the music was too loud and the alcohol helped too.

“Ooh pool party. That sounds like fun.” She looked at the cot Owen was in. “Oh I bet he loved it. Swimming lessons were easily the best investment. No fuss for bath time right? That was my idea. I’m a genius.”

She pouted and gave him a kiss on the lips. “Not even for a little bit?” She asked and her hand travelled further. “I’ll be quiet. If you’re quiet. And if he wakes up. I’ll put him back to sleep.” She said kissing along his collar bones. “It will be fun. Promise.”

"Oh yeah. You were genius. Except he was opening up prior to that with the pool. Ever since Colorado..." He stuck his tongue out at her.

Jake kissed her back. She was making it hard to tell her no. He was only saying no for her benefit. "I can't do all of that babe...I have a fight in just a few days. We can make out though..." He smiled and kissed her back.

"Adri...it's always fun. That's not the problem. I'm just trying to be considerate of your day tomorrow. I won't turn you down though." He kissed softly, sliding his tongue over hers.

“Okay. So no happy endings. That should help with your testosterone right? Get you revved up and then forcing it back down.” She smiled. She wasn’t going to turn down a make out session.

She kissed him until he pulled back to talk. “It doesn’t have to be all the way. I want to feel close to you.” She told him and they kissed for a little bit.

“It would be better if you were naked though.” She said against his lips. “But boxers are fine.” She put her arms around him and pulled him on top of her. She rubbed up and down his back and squeezed his butt.

“Love you.”

"Don't be mean. That's really mean Adri." He groaned.

Jake crawled over her. "You better make up for this after my fight. With a happy ending for both of us." He went back to kissing her softly and deeply before groaning. It was hard to keep from getting naked with her.

"I love you. But I don't trust you being naked babe. Sorry. I can help you out though..."
