Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Candi)

Chris gave a soft chuckle to her words as he lightly squeezed her hand once more before relaxing on the drive home, already loosening his tie a little he knew he would change it along with his shirt as eyes glanced across towards her before speaking. "Of course along with a nice walk along the beach under a moonlit sky."

"Sure," she said with a little smile. She smiled and drove into their garage, smiling as Rex came barking. She smiled and got out of the car, leaning down to pet the cute thing. "Hello, Rex."

Chris chuckled softly at her words as the drive home got even shorter than he had first realized, his dark blue eyes dazzling and sparkling as they arrived home. Getting out he smiled and slid his arm around her waist. "Lets go change. I will leave him some bones to enjoy later."

Claire nodded and smiled softly, hugging him close to her. She kissed his lips softly before running inside. She kicked off her shoes and then bounced into their room with a grin, already pulling out her swimming suit and a cute, short sundress. She smiled and took off her suit, ready to exchange it for one that would protect her in the water.

Chris smiled and watched her run inside, opening the side gate he let Rex through before closing and locking it. Entering the house he took out two large bones placing them on the back porch before walking casually to their bedroom and removing his tie fully along with shirt. He was not sure he would go for a swim later, a walk along the beach would suffice for him as he picked out another shirt and tie, soon wearing both as he grabbed his jacket ready to go.

She was ready a few minutes later, looking very nice in her sundress, the swimsuit hardly noticeable, especially as she put on her light sweater. She took her purse and keys and hugged him. "Ready to go, hun?"

Chris smiled at her words and slid his muscular right arm around her waist, long thick fingers stretched out wide across her hip as he softly kissed her cheek and guided them out the front door towards the car. With the front door locked behind them he got into the passenger side of the car and smiled across into her eyes. "Drive away my beautiful wife to be."

She smiled and slid into the driver's seat. "Alright. Where are we going, husband-to-be?" Claire turned to look at him, starting the car as she got ready to go.

Chris heard her words and reached across with his large right hand to gently squeeze hers as he spoke. "The small restaurant just a few blocks from work."

She smiled, immediately knowing which one he was referring to. Easily, she shifted into gear and drove the car along rather smoothly, heading to the restaurant. "Oh, I like that one," she said with a little smile.

She smiled at him at every stop. In just a few short minutes of travel, they were at the little restaurant by their office. "Mmm, what else did you have in mind, baby?"

Chris smiled at her words his dark bright blue eyes flashed and sparkled lightly as they met hers, reaching across he ran several long thick fingers through her hair as he spoke. "Claire my love a movie after followed by a walk along the beach."

She smiled and shivered a little as he ran his fingers through her hair. With a light kiss to his lips, she smiled and entered, her arm around his. "Sounds like fun to me," she said with a smile.

Chris felt her shiver and returned the soft short kiss as they entered, his bright blue eyes spotting the table he wanted and walking towards it he pulled her chair out and sat down in the seat near hers.

Claire smiled and him and kissed his cheek as she sat down. "Thank you." She looked at the menu now and stretched a bit, wondering what she wanted.

Chris smiled at the soft kiss to his cheek as his bright blue eyes watched her sit down before skimming over the menu, the lobster brisquette caught his eye along with the salad. It would be a good combination as he took a few sips of the complimentary water and chose a light white wine to accompany the meal.

Claire was in more of a shrimp mood, so she ordered that with the side of steamed vegis and the house salad. Both were fairly small, so she was glad to order both when the time came.

Chris smiled at her choice as he placed his order, dark bright blue eyes met hers as he reached across the table to gently squeeze her hand. "Enjoying tonight so far."He said softly.

"I certainly have been," she said with a smile. It felt nice to be out with him again.

Chris smiled at her words and was certainly being out with her again, it was what they both needed and even work had gone well. The break and him managing himself better would see to that.

Claire smiled and squeezed his hand with hers before scooting a little closer to him. "I love you," she said. "In case you forgot today."

"I love you too," she said, smiling a little brighter at the kiss.

Chris noticed the smile as he heard her words, his dark bright blue eyes sparkled along with a light hint of mischief across his face as he started to eat his food, tonight was going to be a good night and he knew it.
