Soulless Soldiers

Ani had been 'detoured' by a few larger boys after school, so she was a bit later coming home... She walked in the front door, a split lip and a smile. "Hey Joseph, Im home!" she yelled as she started dropping her stuff on the floor. Her uniform was dirty, her hair was tangled and messed, and one of her hands looked a bit swollen.

Keiran lifted a finger and opened his mouth as if to speak, but as he did so, his left eye glowed very brightly red, and a deep and rumbling growl issued from his lips instead of a coherent sentence. Keiran paused for a moment, mouth still slightly ajar, and looked vaguely to the left for a split second before crossing his arms and shaking his head. "Nyeh. I think I should have that sandwich now, actually." He replied, looking more or less distraught by not only how his own demon was reacting, but by the idea that Joseph wanted him to sit down and talk to both him and his other teammate. What a hassle it's been already, and in just the first few minutes...? This place sucks. When he heard the girl's voice, he looked up at Joseph with a single eyerow raised, as if to question that this was indeed the teammate he had spoken of. He did not really need to know, though, or he must not have, anyway, because he simply turned his head away and began staring at the wall where his food had disappeared to instead.

Joseph looked at the man and could only think of one thing "I see your like a starving lost puppy eh?" Joseph chuckled as he stood up leaving the paper in the living room and made his way out to the kitchen remote in hand "Hey there tiny, we have a guest." Joseph went in the kitchen looking at how clean it was "That was my best invention ever" Joseph pushed the button and watched everything start to open up sunshine coming brightly through the windows again "There go eat your weird sandwich" Jospeh looked at it thinking it might not be all to bad but didn't want to kill his stomach. "So he's taken care of what are you going to eat?" Joseph looked over at Ani with a slight smile on his face.

She gave a smile "I would like a victory sandwich, with a side of salad, and chilli, and i need some ice for my hand and ice cream and maybe some whipped cream, as well as a few bacon bits... so im hungry now that i had to do all that work!" she said smiling, her lip bleeding just a bit. She wasnt great at wrath, but she was definately better... and pride was up a bit more now as well... stupid boys thought they could steal her lunch... she didnt even have one!

Keiran sauntered back over to his sandwich, cracked some eggs into a pan, and began putting together the rest of the ingredients. Esscherek urged him to just eat the food as it was, but Keiran sternly reminded him out loud that- "Everything you eat goes through my mouth first like this. You'll eat food prepared, or not at all, and you know it." Keiran continued to take his time, but there was an anticipation that was undeniable underlying his every motion. He turned mid-action, however, to watch Ani as she spoke animatedly about her choices of food.

Joseph gave a little sigh "Alright but just this once, now go clean yourself up again and make sure those boys don't go after you again because god knows ill get a phone call about it later." Joseph made his way to the fridge behind the fridge and opened it up heading inside coming out with things he knew wouldn't be in the fridge. Joseph closed the door and it locked shut again as the fridge slid back in place setting the things on the counter he nudge the guest over a bit so he could get the bacon started as he worked on the chili now basically running around the kitchen since he knew where everything was and got the chili started as well. It had only been 10 minutes but he was already close to finishing. "So new comer whats with the weird taste in food?" Joseph got the bread and started the sandwich next to him on the counter reaching into the fridge for random meats and toppings.

She sighed going to the washroom to start cleaning up, her lip wasnt that bad when you stopped the bleeding, and a quick brush through her hair and she was as good as new! She came back mouth watering when she smelled the bacon. "So whats your name? And i like your taste in sandwiches, no lying..." she said as she watched him finish making it. She sat at the table, waiting for her food, talking to the new guy.

Keiran added the now complete eggs to the top of the pile of food on his sandwich and set the dirty dish by the sink. "No' weird.. lots o' people like these things." Keiran shrugged, looking down at his mini-meal. All of the things on his sandwich were popular with other people. Some less than others, but certainly enough that liked each for them to be sold at your average grocery store. They couldn't be weird if lots of people ate them. Esscherek's stomach gave that creepy growl again, and Keiran sighed. He didn't bother to sit down, but found the nearest empty counter space not being used and scarfed the assorted goods down. When Ani spoke to him, he gave her a short, murderous glare, crinkled up his nose as if he had just smelled something rotten, and returned to his food without commenting.

Joseph gave a little sigh as he had misunderstood the question. Joseph finished the sandwich and put some bacon in it and chopping some up and putting it around the plate for decoration and eating purposes, he brought it to her and the chili and started on the salad putting the rest of the bacon bits in the salad and placing it with all her other food. "As for you I didn't mean the food is weird really just the combination of it." Joseph made his way back into the fridge and pulled out random salad dressings "These are all I have tiny so if you don't like them then you get a plain salad." Joseph took a seat and relaxed in the chair reaching in his pocket for his glasses picking up a different section of the paper, it was the economical section, he began to read putting on his glasses so he could read the small printing that was always in the newspaper.

"Thank you joseph... and what was with that greeting, new guy. I havent even done anything yet and your already curling your lip at me... fine then, be uncivil. Heaven knows hells hardly civil as it is, though zack and i did have a good discussion about it... It was quite funny..." she shrugged and poured all the dressings onto her salad and started eating quickly, finishing everything quickly, then looking up at the clock. "Compliments to the chef, and im off, got Religion and Literatures next, so this should be interesting... Well, im off... Ill see ya later, Joseph, and hopefully you get an attitude adjustement, or this is going to be difficult for us all, buddy..." she said, sighing... "So Kodri, what ya think of Catholic school thus far?" she asked as she grabbed her bag up and started back towards school, the boys seeing her and getting out of the way fast

Keiran shoved his plate out of the way, hopped up on the counter, stretched his arms out wide and yawned, then slid down onto his side where he drowsily looked back at Joseph. "Oh.. my bad.. just.. -yawn- what we usually have in our fridge at home, I guess." He responded, eyelids drooping already. It never failed to amaze those around him how quickly he could drift off to sleep despite loud noises, things around or under him moving, the odd positions or places he chose to sleep in and on, and many other strange factors. Keiran always rose above it by claiming outright that when you got as little sleep as he did growing up, you learned to take as much sleep as you could whenever and wherever you could. Keiran yawned extra loudly to show just how much he DIDN'T care about whatever this Zack person had said to her about Hell.

"I think it's missing some crucial bits of information that I think we should introduce them to..." Kodri grinned like mad inside his host, and began mapping out a detailed plan of how they could wreak havoc...

Joseph gave a little sigh knowing how many phone calls he was going to get soon. He made his way over to the counter pulling him off to flop on the floor "I would prefer you slept on the thing we call a bed, there are many here you can take any one you want. I'll drag you to one if I have to since you seem kinda lazy at times." Joseph sat on the floor for a minute poking the man to see if he was still alive.

Keiran made a muffled sound that was similar to a snort when he hit then ground, but remained unharmed. The floor, on the other hand was not. There was a small indentation where the teen had fallen, and said teen continued to sleep on, undisturbed and lightly snoring. He did not seem to be bothered by sleeping on the floor any more than he was by sleeping on the counter. He was unresponsive to verbal cues, and when Joseph poked Keiran, it was similar to trying to poke a particularly hard stone. His skin did not even shift to accommodate the pressure the finger was placing on it.

The phone rang just shortly after her class. "Hello? Is this the sir of the house of Miss Andrews?" A stern woman asked, obvioulsy some sort of head nun or something. "This is sister Mary from the School. We have Ani down here. She was caught being very rude to the Religions teacher. A series of bizzare events occured during this class, and your Miss Andrews was laughing at them all... I would like to suggest punishment so that she respect her elders, and that misfortunes should Not be laughed at under any circumstance. We will be sending her home to contemplate her behaviour under your supervision. Thank you, and God Bless." she hung up, not really letting him talk at all.

Joseph hung up the phone and went back over to the man on the floor *Sigh* He began to try and pick him up only to fail, the man weighed a ton. He tried once more knowing what he was in for and managed to pick him up this time and place him on his shoulder as to lessen the weight a little. Joseph had a weird thought in his head, "I guess he would never have to worry about being hard enough when he was having sex" Joseph made his way up the stairs slowly and made his way to the first bedroom he could get to and placed him slowly on the bed watching it sink a little but since it was a futon it would hold. Joseph made his way to the living room waiting for the demon child to get home.

She came home a little while later, chuckling. "Hey Joseph, it wasnt me, it was Kodris idea, blame the demon!" she said as she set her stuff down and went into the living room to flop on a couch.

Joseph was a little mad "I hope you know should I ever get another phone call im transferring you to a different school, after all Rax'kin said to keep a clear profile since your not going back to hell, so you can go to jail and what ever and then how are you going to do your missions? Tiny dumbshit." Joseph picked up his paper and smacked her with it before opening it up and reading it again his glasses still on his face.

She frowned "but it wasnt me, it was Kodri.." she said pouting slightly, rubbing her face. She sighed and got up to go find something to trash, walking into a room to start throwing things around..

Joseph sighed folding up the paper and heading up the stairs into his work room, he took as seat and picked up the picture of his kids and opened up the back of the frame to reveal a small remote taking it out and setting the picture back he headed over to the closet and pressed the button watching the clothes part and the wall fall back it revealed a passage way to his vault where there were many computers, game stations and games filled the room all covered in dust. He opened up the window and felt the breeze flow through the room lifting up the dust, Joseph gagged for a minute but the room was soon cleared of most of it. He sat at a computer and booted it up hoping it would still start and sure enough it did, he sat there for awhile making models for game ideas he had.

After she was done making a tornadoe whip through the room, she started to tidy it, this taking a little more time and skill to manipulate things a little differently...it was her form of training, and it was difficult, but she was getting the hang of it

When Keiran woke up, it was much later. He grumbled as he got up, Esscherek complaining about how he was dying of hunger when Keiran knew quite well how impossible that was to do for a demon. Keiran scolded him right back that he could have taken over and stuffed himself while Keiran was asleep, and the demon made some excuse about having virtually no power on the surface, only being able to manifest in short, partial bursts. Keiran huffed, but he made his way downstairs, clueless as to how he'd made it up to a bedroom, but not really caring to find out. When he reached the kitchen again, he chose more than just a small selection of foods, and instead put together almost everything that was in the refrigerator. He would shut this demon up at least for a little while if it was the last thing he did.

Ani had finished putting the things back and decided that she was good for a snack, and then maybe a nap... She made her way to the kitchen to find the new guy. She worked around him, taking things that he didnt use and such and made food equivalent to his

Keiran kept his eyes wearily trained on the girl travelling around him and stealing his demon's precious foodstuffs. Hurriedly packing the food together where he could, the teen munched his way through much of the contents of the fridge, once again sitting on the counter where he had originally fallen asleep. He didn't trust the girl. Why did he have to be moved to a girl's team? With how many men there were in Hell for revenge, one would think he could end up on a more or less male team more easily, but nooooo...

Joseph made his way down stairs giving his shoulder a rub as he entered the kitchen and saw the two battling it out for food "Just what in hells name are you two doing?" Joseph looked on the counter at the food they had both made looking a little repulsed "You know what make your way out of the kitchen from now on i'll make the food cuz I dont think even the master of glutony would eat that." Joseph went to the other fridge and came out with a bag of chips and some cheese closing the door behind him and watching it lock the fridge sliding back in place as always. Joseph grated up some cheese and melted it over a large bowl of chips.

She grabbed her food and started scarfing it, eating it quickly. "Sorry joseph... i was hungry and new guy mr no name hogged all the good stuff..." she said, giving a yawn...
