"Basically." Explained Rosalina. "He helps me with taking care of the Lumas when I'm away, as well as keeping the Observatory running. We, um, don't have so many rooms that are not made for Lumas. But, I do have a small guest room we once prepare in the past. I'll call some Lumas to help me get it ready for you, alright?"
With that the Princess gave the boy a warm and beautiful smile. "I'll have to excuse myself for a moment, so make yourself at home, Diego. And Polari..." She says as she turns to the brown Luma of blue eyes, "Please assist Diego with whatever he needs. And no more fighting, ok?"
"Alright Mama, I understand."
With a finally nod of her head, the cosmic beauty walked away, towards another part of the Observatory, leaving the boy and the Luma to their lonesome.
Polari sighed before hovering near Diego. "alright, I'll admit I was a bit...cross with you, bud. But I guess if mama trust you, I should trust you too...a little at least...sooo...shake on it?" Asked the star being while offering his little stubby arm.
"Anyhow, about your previous question...You know that mama helped protect the Silver Smash Stadium from just plummeting down, right? Well, whatever that scary force was, Mama wouldn't have been able to stop it alone. Nor any other hero in my opinion. But Mama tried her best and so called force the power of the Comet Observatory itself to add to her own magic."
He turned to look at the core of the place, a bit smaller than the top core level Diego remembered from collecting all the Grand Stars in the games...
"Well, such a big spell left both Mama and the Observatory a bit...damaged out, as it were. We still have enough power to stay safe and have food, warmth, etc. But we're kinda stuck in place for now. As such, I'm currently trying to search for more
Grand Stars we can use to re-power the Core. As well as a few renovations here and there. Nothing to really worry your little human head about."
Finished his explanation, the straightforward Luma placed itself on top of Diego's head for fun. "So, any other question you have, bud? I'm your man-Luma to answer. I guess a quick rundown of what we have should be a good start"
As such he started to name all the currently available accommodations that the Comet Observatory had; Which sounded way different than the "small hubs of levels" that appeared to be in the games, and having way different functions...
----------------
((Rather than just put all into a long dialogue. I'll narrow it down as points. In-story, Polari simply explained all of them to him. also as the plot advances, they get more resources and more of the gals join up. New areas will be made.))
<Comet Observatory>
The
Observatory is divided in different areas and Domes. Using cosmic magic thanks to the Grand Stars and Power Stars, said Domes are much bigger on the inside and may expand/add more as the Observatory gains more resources and power.
- Control Board -
"At the center of the Observatory, by the Core there's a square with a control panel and a big screen. From here, one can peer into the word below as well as to research information, select destinations or manually control certain aspects of the building."
- Terrace -
"A grassy Dome that leads into a small garden of exotic flowers and plants. Although in need of expanding, its good for relaxing and chat."
- Fountain -
"A Dome that possesses a seemly-infinite stream of spring water. Inside the Dome its a big bath pool and fountain spouts for one to wash or simply relax in the water. Can be switched to a hot bath or a bubbly one as well at the user's desire."
- Kitchen -
"A cozy kitchen with plenty of food and meals from across the worlds. Whenever its time for lunch, dinner or just need a grab to it. The helpful Lumas or Rosalina herself will be willing to aid."
- Gate -
"Once a destination is selected from ones in the Control board's database, one can use the small floating isle with a Gate that will transport the user to the World Below. However, this can only be done to places already visited, and the database may need some expanding..."
- Bedroom -
"Princess Rosalina's personal bedroom. Comfy and right next to the Library for her own enjoyment. Not much of an access is allowed to anyone without her permission; that's just rude....Hey! You wouldn't be thinking in trying to peek in there, right? You naughty guy!"
- Engine Room -
"The Engine Room is located near the top of the main tower. As it name implied, its the room that makes sure the Observatory is moving and operational. Currently in need of repairs and the Gearmo who usually took care of maintenance seems to have bailed after the Observatory's damage..."
- Library -
"The Library is filled with multiple books (duh) for anyone who wants to learn more about the worlds and lands of the Smash World below, or simply want to read a good bedtime story. Rosalina is looking forward to expand and add more books to her collection."
- Rest Area -
"A series of comfy couches are available right outside the Library for one to lounge around whenever tired. A favorite spot for the Lumas, despite they tend to just float everywhere..."
- Hangar -
"A pair of hangars are available for outside Ships or Vehicles to rest, as well as to be repaired (Once resources and mechanists are obtained). As for now, all that remains is a broken-down Mushroom-shaped ship..."
- Luma Bedrooms -
A floating Dome orbiting around the Observatory, it leads to a much bigegr series of round-shaped beds for all the Lumas to sleep in. Its door however seems Luma-sized so good luck trying to get in, haha!"
- Diego's Room -
"A specialized Guest Dome has been placed in the Observatory's orbit; Accessible via an energy transporter like other areas of the interstellar home. Currently there's only one with a cozy room for Diego for him to customise at his leisure. Perhaps more Guest Domes can be developed if there are more visitors in the Observatory..."
- Garden -
A hidden garden located at the top of the top of the Observatory. However its access is now closed due to damage after a meteor shower. Its future use remains for now unknown."
- Trial Planet -
"A small multi-colored planetoid that floats around, where Green Lumas once did Trials for Mario in his visit to the Observatory. Currently it has no used, but perhaps more recourses can lead to something interesting..."
----------------
"That's pretty much it." Polari explained. "A lot of said areas could use a little tune up, but hey, we're not to be looking at the down side. So, do you have other questions? I'm free to answer"
He said ebfore floating close to him and giving him a short glare. "As long as it doesn't involve Mama's bedroom. i noticed how you looked at her all starstruck. hmph."
