It's Just Human Nature (MysteriousD/DaddysLittleSkank)

Morgan smiled and, while hugging Finn back, said, “I know, I’m getting better at talking about my feelings.”

“Mostly sea monsters and ruins from before the Mushroom War.” Marceline said, also looking out at the ocean.

"I know, sweetie," Finn told her with a smile before he turned to Jake. "Glad you're feeling better," he told Morgan while Lady Rainicorn said something similar in Korean.

"Yeah makes sense on that. What do you think on what the future holds though?" Diego asked Marceline.

“Thanks.” Morgan said before jokingly adding, “And you two better get ready to be an aunt and uncle.”

“I’ve learned not to expect anything from the future,” Marceline stated, “than you can never be disappointed and always be surprised.” She paused briefly, “someone needs to write that shit on a pillow.”

"No worries! I've been planning this for a while," Jake said with a chuckle while Lady Rainicorn giggled in response. "Hey, that means all of you will have a cousin now," Jake said to his kids.

"Yeah, but who would sell it?" Diego noted as he agreed with her response yet couldn't help but make a comment.

“You’re gonna have to wait a bit longer.” Morgan said putting a hand on her belly. “This one is still cooking in there.”

“I would.” Marceline stated. “That’d literally be the only thing in my store. People come in and ask for something and I’d be like ‘we only sell that one pillow.”

"That gives us a bunch of time to prepare then, heh," Jake said with a big smile as he pets Morgan's tummy. "It's gonna be amazing," Finn responded as he kissed Morgan on the cheek. "I wonder if he'll look like me," Ice King jested.

"Just that pillow? No other pillows with witty words from Marceline?" Diego said with a smile on his face while Aurelio chuckled at his parents being silly.

“Who said anything about it being a boy?” Morgan asked the Ice King teasingly. “I could having a girl.”

“Maybe but when we open it’ll just be the one.” Marceline answered. “And it shall be called... Marceline’s One Pillow, then when we get two pillows it’ll be Marceline’s Two Pillows.”

"Yeah that's true, but she could look like a female me then," Ice King said back to his daughter with his teasing tone, all while Finn was chuckling at the scene between them. "Well, that or we'll have twins or something," Finn added in jest.

Diego just laughed some more alongside his son on how silly they are being. "Would we sell blankets with it too or just pillows? And what kind of pillows?" he added, intent on dragging on with the joke.

Morgan’s eyes grew at what Finn said before she started shaking her head, saying, “No.”

“Nope Just pillows.” Marceline said trying to look as serious as possible. “They’ll just be throw pillows that incredibly tiny or huge pillows that you could use as a bed.”

"Didn't meant to spook ya, sweetie," Finn said as he embraced her. She looked like a deer in headlights at the thought of having twins or something.

"So technically like two types of pillows," Diego said as he began chuckling more at Marceline's seriousness while Aurelio laughed as well. "Piwwow" Aurelio said, trying to say pillow. He had been already talking for a bit now, knowing a few words like the classic mama and papa.

“Well ya did.” Morgan replied. “I’m gonna have a hard enough time adjusting to mother without having to take care of two babies.”

“Yes, pillow.” Marceline laid on her back and put Aurelio on her stomach. “Are you Mommy’s little genius?”

"Well, you're not gonna be alone," Finn told her before he kissed her. "You have all of us, remember?" he added to her with a smile.

Aurelio just smiled and chuckled, nodding at what his mom said. "Of course he's a genius, just like his father," Diego responded with a roguish smile on his face.

“I know.” Morgan said with a nod. “But it’s still scary.” She was terrified that she’d mess the kid up and didn’t want the added stress of messing up two kids.

Marceline pretended to be offended, “Excuse me, he gets his intelligence from me!”

"It is kinda nerve-wracking, but we pull through together," Finn told her with a smile. "Yeah, I mean, I know it's scary, but we did all right," Jake said with a smile as he noted with him and Lady Rainicorn.

"Well, maybe from both," Diego said as he stuck his tongue out before he kissed Marceline on the cheek with a smile while Aurelio laughed some more.

“I know:” Morgan said with a sheepish smile. She knew she had a great support system but that did little to calm her nerves. It wasn’t that she felt they would help her but rather that she feared she’d depend on them too heavily.

Marceline rolled her eyes giving a small chuckle, “be careful I might grab that tongue.”

Finn held onto Morgan with a comforting embrace. He didn't always know what was in her mind, but his heart did at times. "Besides, you're an amazing strong person. You can handle the biz. We all believe in you, so believe in yourself," Finn noted to her with a smile.

"How? With your own tongue?" Diego said with a chuckle and a teasing tone.

Morgan turned around and kissed Finn. “You’re the best.” She said with her arms around his neck.

“Maybe.” Marceline replies teasingly. “Or maybe I’ll just shove mine in your mouth.”

"You are too," Finn responded to her with a kiss of his own. "All right, all right. Now we gotta celebrate! Lucky for everyone, I planned for this," Ice King said as he made some ice furniture before pulling a wrapped cake out of his beard. "Don't worry, it's not bad. I made it earlier today," he said.

"I wouldn't mind that along," Diego responded to her with his teasing while Aurelio kept laughing at his parents being silly.

“Why’d you make a cake this morning?” Morgan asked a bit surprised by it.

“You sure you wouldn’t mind? We are in public with our son and you know our makeout sessions always lead to more.” Marceline said raising an eyebrow.

"I've been making cakes the past few weeks for when something like this happens. I gave all the leftover cakes to Princess Bubblegum or to the penguins," Ice King said with his happy smile and his Ice-Kingey self.

"Well, we can always save it for later," Diego told her before he kissed her cheek. "I wonder how we would be if we grew up back in our time. Like in a city like normal humans would've, though we were already not really human by then," Diego noted to her.

“What flavor?” Morgan asked. She was still a little bit weirded out by the whole thing of her dad just having a cake ready to go but decided to go with the flow.”

“Who knows?” Marceline said. “I’ve learned that we shouldn’t spend time thinking about the what if’s because it distracts from reality.”

"Well, mainly vanilla because it was the easiest, but there were some snow berries there too," Ice King said with a proud smile at the delicious-looking cake.

Diego smiled as he cuddled up next to his family. "When I was younger, that's one of the things I would think about a lot. The what-ifs. Part of it was because it was interesting, but I think also to help cope with feeling powerless and so on," he confessed to Marceline.

Morgan walked the short distance to the kitchen and got plates and silverware for everyone and a knife to cut the cake.

“I think we’ve all done it at least once in our lives.” Marceline said as she snuggled closer to him. “I try not to because it makes me depressed.”

Finn helped Morgan in setting the table while everyone was making themselves comfortable for the celebration. "Everything okay?" Finn asked Morgan.

"Yeah, but I guess it also serves how different we've become. I'm happy in who we've became," Diego told Marceline.

“Yeah,” Morgan answered kissing Finn, “just trying to take everything in.”

Marceline paid down and put Aurelio on her stomach. She put her feet on the ground so her legs were folded and facing upward, making a backrest for Aurelio.
