"Was it true? I heard that you went on a few dates with Jenny before," Steven asked. It was a rumor from a couple years back that he heard back when he spent Spring break in Gravity Falls with his new friends, the Pines twins.

"All right, need any help or something?" Amethyst asked her quietly to not wake the baby.

"No, I don't know how that rumor got started." Peedee said before explaining further. "She's pretty and nice and all that, but she's too old for me. She's like at least five years older than me."

"Yeah, sure, which flavor you want?" Steven said as he offered the basket. Besides sandwiches, there were things like bags of chips, some fruit and even some cans of soda for them. "Do you see yourself getting married with her?" he asked, referring to the girl Peedee was dated.

Amethyst just chuckled. "Yeah, but I don't know if I could be one. I mean, Pearl has always been the most mom one," she commented.

Diego kissed Pearl softly. "You drive me crazy in all the best ways. You are truly amazing," he said as her cool body was enveloped with his warm one, both gleaming with sweat. "I need to go back to work soon, but I would love to see you back at my home later," he said with a smile. "I love you," he said to her.
 
"Steven we've been dating for like a week." Peedee said grabbing one of the sandwiches.

"I don't know. I've kinda consider you, Pearl, and Garnet as motherly figures to Steven." Rai said putting Mason in the stroller once it was on the sidewalk. "And I think you'd be a great mom. You're super mellow, and laid back."

Pearl stood up and pulled him into a passionate kiss before letting him go again. "I love you and I'll see you later." She shapeshifter to having clothes again.
 
"Still, time flies by," Steven added as he began eating while he was relaxing and eating over it all. "I just want you to be happy and find someone who likes you for you," he told his friend with a smile.

"Thanks Rai," Amethyst told her with a smile before giving her a hug. "You want me tof ollow you to the doctor?" she asked her.

Diego happily returned the passionate kiss to Pearl before she let him go and he went over to get dressed and try to appear as if he wasn't engaged in such a session. He felt absolutely happy in how he was with her and he wondered what awaited for them in the future.
 
"I'm fine, Steven." Peedee reassured.

"No, I just needed help getting to the sidewalk." Rai said. "I'll see you later."

Pearl went out the door, seeing Alice at the cash register.

"You know if you two had sex at his place there wouldn't be a walk of shame through the bookstore?" Alice asked flipping through a magazine.
 
"Well, I'll text Rai and see how she's doing," Steven said as he texted Rai to see how she was doing while he was enjoying his sandwich and eating with Peedee. "I know," Steven told him with a smile. "Maybe you could save up some money to see her," Steven suggested to her.

"See you later," Amethyst told her with a smile before she was heading back.

Diego had gotten dressed and saw Alcie there. "Aren't you supposed to be at home sick?" Diego asked her as he turned to Alice wth his arms crossed.
 
"Maybe. I'll ask her if it's okay in February when she comes for Rai birthday." Peedee said with his mouth full of sandwich.

'Taking Mason 2 doctor' Rai texted back.

"But then you'd have to close the bookstore down if you wanted to bang your girlfriend in the break room." Alice said teasingly.

"I'll see you later, Diego." Pearl said before leaving.
 
Steven texted to Rai if she wanted him to accompany her there before smiling at what Peedee said. "That would be alot of fun," Steven responded with as he was in thought. "You remember the first time we fused?" Steven asked his best friend. Besides Connie, the only other people he fused with were Rai, and both were girlfriends while Peedee was his best friend. He can fuse with the Gems too of course.

"Just be careful. That does count as a sick day you just wasted," Diego noted to her annoyning before he gave Pearl a goodbye kiss before she left.
 
"Yeah it was totally weird but it helped that you knew what was happening." Peedee explained. "I would've totally freaked if you didn't know."

'No I'm good.' Rai texted back.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Alice said with a smirk. "Some woman came in wanting to sell a pretty old looking book that had belonged to her recently deceased father and when you see what this book is about, you'll give me more sick days."
 
"Yeah, but not only that, we got to help out alot of people and you even fought against a corrupt Gem for the first time," Steven remarked with asmile as he thought back to their fusion into Stevdee. A balanced fusion, it was the result of Steven hugging Peedee after both had a rough day and bonding over it.

"Okay, be safe and keep me in the know," Steven texted back to Rai.

"I'm not in charge of sick days anyway Alice, I'm not the boss," Diego reminded her. He wasn't her superior, but he had some sort of unoffcial duty and perks. "What was it?" he asked, cuerious about the book yet he an inkling on what it could be.
 
"Yeah that was pretty cool." Prefer said recounting everything they'd done as a fusion.

'Will do' Rai texted back.

"I don't really know." Alice said as she pulled an old book from under the counter. "It has a lot about Gems, and there's a whole section about what I assume is Gem/human relationships." She put it on the counter in front of Diego. The book was made of old, worn leather and was decorated with various gemstones.
 
"Rai's on her way to the doctor with Mason so hopefully we should get an answer soon," Steven noted when he looked back at his phone before he continued eating his lunch. "What haven you been doing besides helping out here at the restaurant?" he asked him.

Diego looked over the Gems. "Wow! Thank you very much!" Diego said with an excited look before he took the book and carefully put it in the back so he'll read it later. "Least we get some good steady business and good pay," Diego ntoed as he went to organize some of the books.
 
"Hopefully its nothing serious." Prefer said. "School and texting Rosemary."

"The language looks similar to Greek, so I could see if my dad could translate it." Alice said. "He probably won't be able to translate all of it but it should be enough to get a general idea of what it's saying."
 
"Yeah, there's not alot of kids our age here, or rather that we hang out wth," Steven notes to his friend while he was making sure everything was okay with the the new paint and primer and just so everything will be able to last. "Wonder how long before the Pizzas go to fix up their place?" he noted.

"Well, if it's ancient Greek, then probably the Gems would know it," Diego noted as he looked over the book. "How have things been with you, Alice?" he asked his co-worker.
 
"It'll probably take the place literally falling apart for Kofi to fix it up." Peedee commented. "Anytime it's damaged he just makes it the same as before."

"Well, I thought I was pregnant and told Lars. He said he didn't want it and I found out I wasn't but I already moved out, so I'm not going back." Alice said, still flipping through her magazine.
 
"Well, though maybe Nanafua would be able to convince him though I figure Jenny and her sister may take over the place," Steven comments as he chuckles at the stingy and very stubborn patriarch of the Pizza family. "I heard they might try and set him with someone to get him to relax," he heard.

"Oh man, I'm sorry to hear," Diego commented before he went over to her and gave her a hug to cheer her up. "I hope you find someone who likes you fr you," he said with a comforting smile.
