"Naturally, I'm not an expert. Even the library doesn't have that kind of knowhow recorded in it. But if I can help..." He smiled at the short alien, and playfully walked two fingers up the curve of her back between her shoulder blades. "Well you know me, I love to help."

"Carry, you say? Well, I can certainly handle that." Isaac suddenly hoisted the short gem up by her shapely hips and planted her on his shoulders, partially to help them cross the ground at a slightly faster pace, and partially because the warmth of her thighs was heavenly. "So, where to?" Isaac asked, wandering aimlessly in the general direction of some rusted machinery left half embedded in walls and in the ground.

She couldn't suppress a cackle as he lifted her onto his shoulders. The kindergarten looked so different from a few feet higher. "Over there!" She pointed over his shoulder to the junked mechanism missing its drill head. It was already on the ground and had been loosened up a little, so the parts would be easier to pick apart. "We'll try there first. Though I think there are still parts we're going to need to pick from other places." She informed him.

"That so?" Isaac smiled and made to where the pretty alien pointed, heading slowly over to the machinery. He was happy to have her warmth on his shoulders, particularly with how... chilly and desolate this place was. He stopped at the machinery and set Peridot on her feet, and proceeded to pry a rusted panel off the side of the machine with surprisingly little effort. "Whoof. There we are. Whole lot of doo-dads."

"Doo-dads?" Peridot tilted her head and examined the inner workings of the drill. "I have no idea what that is, but here-" she pointed to a large tank in the center of the drill mechanism. "This is the tank where the raw materials to create Gem are mixed and sifted. Then here-" She pointed to sa slim pipe jutting from the tank. "This pipe here was super-heated, liquifying the materials so that they could be injected into the Earth's surface."

"It's just kind of a made up term for tech stuff," Isaac said. He supposed he should have known the saying would have meant nothing, though he still had little idea of how long Peridot had been on earth. He leaned in, nodding with understanding as Peridot explained the functions of different parts. "I see.... that's pretty cool. What do you use for raw material? Minerals and stuff?"

"Exactly." She nodded approvingly, like a teacher who's student had just solved a math problem. "Silica, varying chemical deposits based on what color the Gem should be, carbon, and then the right amount of pressure and heat are applied and shot into a place where they can incubate." She turned and too a few steps toward the cliff face.

"You can tell a lot about what a Gem will be like from their eit hole." She gestured to a hole near them that was rather tall and wide with jagged edges. "Like this one here was a soldier Quartz, an Amethyst to be exact. These jagged parts mean she spent a little bit of time digging and a little time resting, so she might be classed as a little more lazy than is normal. Which is saying something for Amethysts." She shrugged. "But hey, I guess Gems can change." She returned to his side. "I wouldn't have thought that until I got to Earth."

Isaac listened with some faint understanding, getting a general gist of what Peridot was describing. It must have been a rather exact science, where even a modest change in the formula could produce a very different gem. "Sounds like you've changed a lot. For one thing, I'd imagne a gem dating a human would be... forbidden, to put it mildly," Isaac said. Though he'd bet gems wouldn't date in general.

Peridot burst into laughter that practically bowled her over. "You have no idea! Homeworld Gems don't give human's credit for anything really. To them it's like... Like a human dating a snail, or frog, or one of those sour gummy worm wriggly-things. They'd think I was corrupted out of my mind and shatter me."

She cupped his arm in her hand. "But, none of that matters, because I'm already a traitor to homeworld and a prime candidate for shattering. So it's totally worth it."

"Dating a snail? Yeah, sounds pretty gross." Isaac wasn't offended, and smiled wolfishly down at the short alien as she embraced his arm. "Oh well, who cares what they think? Only thing that matters is what you choose anyway," he added. Granted, if Homeworld found them, he imagined there would be trouble to put it mildly. "Still... since you've been so nice to me, I'll have to find some way to repay you when we leave here."

"Sounds like a plan," he replied, before taking a moment to check his watch. "Speaking of, we should probably head back now. I mean, it's pretty likely that the others might catch us, and I don't wanna have to explain things to them," said Isaac as he led the way back toward the warp pad.

(OOC: I Went out to my parents to watch their dogs while they stayed the night at a casino, and couldn't get their damn internet to work! )

Peridot nodded and took his hand, guiding them back to the warp pad and sending them back to the beachside temple.

Steven and Amethyst were already sitting in Steven's living room when they landed. The pait on the couch looked surpised, but not angry.

"Um...Hey, Peri." Steven smiled and waved meakly. "Is this your friend from the library?"

"Oh, right..."Peridot rubbed her cheek in embarrassment. "This is Isaac. Issac, this is Steven and Amethyst. "[/i]

(It's cool)

"Oh!" Isaac managed an awkward smile, and was quick to shelf any unchivalrous thoughts he may have had as soon as he became aware that they weren't alone anymore. "Ah... hello there. Sorry, nobody was here when we first came through, and we weren't expecting anyone to be around on the way back," he said. It was hard not to feel a little awkward to be caught out like this.

"Yeah that uh, that's me," Isaac said, waving briefly to the young man. "Nice to meet you. Peridot's told me a lot about you."

"Whoa, Peri!" Amethyst laughed roccusly and stood to inspect the human man she'd brought back. "You took a human guy on the warp pad? Oh man, Pearl is gonna be sooo mad!"

"I'm sure she'll be fine." Steven shook his head and smiled. "I mean, I've taken other people on the warp. It's a quick way to get places. Where did you guys go?"

"The Prime Kindergarten."

Both Amethyst and Steven stared at one another, and back at Peridot.

"Well, you should really be careful." Steven warned. "There are still some corrupted Gems out there, and you're more of a... lover than a fighter, pPeri."

"You... didn't mention that part," Isaac said, glancing to the short alien. Some of those monsters hanging around the Kindergarten was a rather worrying prospect. "Oh well. We got lucky I guess. Gotta keep that in mind for future reference," the young man said. "Anyhoo, it was nice to meet you guys, and I hope we can hang out in the future... But I dunno if I wanna be caught out by anyone who would be less cool than you two."

Steven laughed and stood, heading for the door. "It's okay, we just won't mention that you guys used the warp. Honestly, they'd probably be more concerned with your safety than anything else. Sometimes they...kind of forget what humans are capable of." He smiled apologetically and opened the door. "And we should totally hang out sometime. Maybe have another picknick out at the barn or something?"

"Oh yeah, that sounds like it could be very enjoyable." Peridot added, leading the way through the door. "I mean, it was last time."

"Okay, take care you two!" Steven called before shutting the door.

"Phew!" Peri breathed, running an arm across her forehead, though there was no sweat there to mop. "That was close. And don't worry about corrupted Gems, they tend to flock more exclusively to the beta kindergarten. And we were in the prime."

"See ya," Isaac said, waving to the young hybrid in passing, before following Peridot down to the sands. That went much better than it could have gone, and he figured he just made some new friends.

"That a fact? Well, that's good to know. Buuut I'm still gonna be watching my step if we go back there," Isaac said. He supposed he should have expected monsters, given that they tended to flock around the old ruins. "So ah..." After reaching the start of the boardwalk he spared a glance to Peridot. "Today was pretty fun. You wanna... I mean, you want me to take you home, or do you wanna crash at my place again?"

"Well... I dunno if I'd say tired exactly," he said, wondering how best to phrase it. He didn't want to be too blunt with his intentions. They were still in public, after all. But, he didn't know how much innuendo Peridot would get, and how much would fly right over her head. "I'm just thinking... I dunno, we could get a little intimate again. It's always fun."

Well, she was getting there. It took some time but he figured eventually she'd have a full grasp on human speech and all the intricacies of it. Smiling, Isaac went along with Peridot (and the strangely strong tug of her grip) until they reached his home. He was quick to open up the door and proceeded to lead the way inside. "You wanna try something a little different this time around?" Isaac asked.

"Different?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow. She looked a little reluctant at first, but decided that there was very little that could hurt her. At least, that he could do. And why would he do something that might make her uncomfortable anyway? Peridot was sure she could trust him and his judgement. She smiled and nodded. "Okay, what did you have in mind?"

He could see she was deliberating the matter, and at that point he supposed it would be best to go for a straight explanation and leave no room for error. "Well, basically, there's this sex act that humans have called fellatio. And basically it's where the woman takes the penis into her mouth and sucks it. Understand?" Isaac asked, leading on upstairs as he spoke. "See it's like... the warmth of the mouth, the massaging of the lips and tongue... it feels good."
