I am familiar with the Big O and Patlabor. And you are welcome to reach out in case it interests you, who knows what may come of it! There are exactly 0 people I know IRL who are into UC Gundam, or Gundam to begin with. Does War In The Pocket happen to be in the list of those you like?
Who was your favorite Assassin in the game? I'd have to go with Holly Summers, Shinobu , or Letz Shake (in that order, though Bad Girl is nice too).
War in The Pocket's one of my favorites, I love the OVAs that spawned off of the main series. My favorite is as you can tell from my name is Stardust Memory. Wonderful, don't know too many people that I can even talk Big O and Patlabor with. I did meet an rp partner in the past that was into Patlabor and they rped as Kanuka Clancy, but that's all the experience I have with that series. I've yet to do a Big O rp.
For me it's either Dr. Peace or Holly Summers. If I'm just counting the fights, I enjoyed the Shinobu and Bad Girl fights the most.
This is rather similar to something I have always wanted to do, though not set in Legend of the Galactic Heroes. But instead a massive role play where each player controls an entire faction in some science fiction setting where everyone is agreed to be roughly equal in power to start.
I've seen it done but I think one of the secrets is that you have to get a small group of people that have been well established in RP, and you've known for a while. The payoff is crazy fun if you can go the distance but I suppose that's the trick, isn't it.

Sweet, the RX 78-NT-1 "Alex" is a pretty good design, though my favorite Suits would have to be the MSN-04 Sazabi and RX-0 Gundam for the cool features they possess. I'll have to admit my knowledge on Big O and Patlabor is really limited, but I'd be happy to discuss a Gundam RP somewhen, even though my queue is pretty full, it's been simmering in my "to-do plots" for about a year now.
Probably would be bittersweet like 0080 too.
Excellent picks. I'll leave some space for the others as I'd hate to clutter the thread any more than this, in case someone else wants to discuss one of their ideas, feel free to PM whenever!
Probably two of the most elusive fandoms I've been looking for:
Do note that I like plot over mostly smut though if anyone sends me a note.
Rust-Eater Bisco
Seems to be one of those more elusive fandoms, post apoc and gives me Nausicaa vibes. Really like the setting and it can be expanded on, since most of the wildlife seems to be oversized mutated sealife... somewhere out there in the desert there could totally be an underground 'abyss' like location that's mostly bioluminescent etc)
Gurren Lagann
Been a fan of this anime since forever but it seems to be elusive as well.
Recently fell in love with a manga called Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, or Yokohama Shopping Trip in English, and I started to ship the main character Alpha and their friend Kokone together so hard due to a few scenes and chemistry between them, and would absolutely love to make an RP based on this ship. Haven't specifically looked for RPs based on this yet, but I wager that the chances of finding a partner who has read this particular manga, or having watched the two OVA made of this manga are fairly slim outside of some SoL, Iyashikei or old-anime/manga-fan. So I guess this is pre-emptive "can't make this happen" happen.
I will also add an RP based on the anime/manga Aria here as well which I've been looking for some time. Series is more popular than Yokohama, so finding a partner who might be interested in doing something based on this series isn't completely zero I would say, but still something I believe I will never get to do.
A Pokémon RP set in either GSC or HGSS Johto is always a high priority. I've decided to step back from playing Canons as my experiences with them were... pretty forgettable if I'm being honest, I could be convinced but it wouldn't happen soon, and likely not with a new partner.
I'd happily take Unova or Sinnoh too (being my favorite Regions), Alola was also quite creative. I could definitely do with a slightly more upbeat tone, at least. Recently, I started working on a post-apoc plot in a new verse that may have gotten a bite.
Right now I'd be down for some One Shot's, simple One Act scenario RP's, even played in one sitting if possible with quick(ish) back and forth responses. That was my introduction to RP and as much as I like the more complex stuff, I do miss the simple quickies.
I story that I wanted to RP for literally years but never found someone to do it with. It's about a stripper (male) who meets another guy (A) online and really hit it off with. He meets B in the club and sleeps with, and B becomes increasingly attracted to him.
As time goes on, he begins to develop feelings for A even if they never met; and as he tell him that he would like to meet and see where this might lead them; A tells him that he's seeing someone and that it he wasn't interested in him romantically. Upset about it, he decides to take a break from dating and focus on his studies and work; brushing off B.
Of course, the RolePlayers would know that A and B are the same characters, how the story goes and how the characters will figure it out is up to be written in the RP.
There is one plot that I've had a number of false starts with. Specifically it was a slightly smut leaning wuxia theme fantasy roleplay, centered around the son of a merchant dynasty, a slightly perverted fox eared merchant prince, and his oni bodyguard/concubine and their adventures to make money and build their own commercial empire. I've described it as being like spice and wolf but with more martial Arts and sex, and I even got a few biters. But every time when it seems like I've found someone as into the idea as I am, they abandon the RP before it's even gotten off the ground.

Sounds interesting enough, but could it be that the fact the pairing is already "pre-determined" be turning some people off? I personally don't mind being given an archetype to work off of, but some writers prefer doing their own thing.
Could be, but the ones that actually responded to the idea actually sounded receptive to the set up. But once we got down to brainstorming idea's for a shared background and the outline of a plot... *poof*
I wouldn't mind a steampunk historical fiction, perhaps revolving around ww2 ish or the civil war. Could be interesting with air ships and magic. Started on a book about that once. . .mmm, never finished it sadly.
Just my luck that I'm once again craving a DC canon/canon pairing that's too obscure to find anyone else interested in it lol. This time it's Tetchcest
And i'm back again- This one is what i'm mostly craving so why not.
(M) Monstrous shapeshifting mutant x (F) Scientist in post-apoc spaceeeeeee~
My character is a scientist aboard a 'life boat' aka what's left of humanity after a catastrophic extinction level event. Humans found an alien material and brought it back to earth. It gave rise to technological advancements but... people failed to realize this 'element' was alive and led to one hell of an Apocalypse. Everyone and everything on this ship is cloned to continue life on its artificial bio-environment. Its goal is to find a new suitable planet to land on and colonize... my gal happens to have been cloned pacifically to overlook and maintain the ship and its other inhabitants along with the other 'staff'
She's also a specialist on 'Element' and its properties and general behavior, as a result she's responsible with it and also acknowledges how its concept of sentience is beyond her normal understanding... but its also a powerful source of energy that can keep the ship going and she's tasked to make sure there's no catastrophic results.
However one day something out of the ordinary takes place. There's a error in the cloning chambers, and upon investigation it seems like the crew has a new face to their ranks. no one knows why the error happened or who he is but he seems reasonable, mannerly, and quite the gentleman- and also a man of science. He's quickly accepted into their ranks and both my character and him can become quick friends due to shared interests and knowledge about Element...
However not at all as he seems, the sentient Element basically found a way to leak into one of the cloning chambers and decided to infiltrate the ship by creating a new 'host' to spread itself and take control. He may appear and act like a person but in reality he thinks himself as a god like being, the epitome of human evolution since he was designed to be an ultimate lifeform of sorts. Since no one will check out his DNA he's an ever changing mess- allowing him to take any form he pleases, even chimeric creations.
After some months some of the staff begin to go missing and when their bodies are found it looks as if some beast got the best of them, the cloned wildlife begins to act erratic as if they are terrified of something etc. It gets to the point where the crew is getting paranoid but have no idea what to make of the situation... especially when in the biome parts are starting to rapidly mutate and show signs of an Element infection but no one knows where its coming from. New terrifying lifefofrms are starting to mutate so there's even more dangerous wildlife running around.
Eventually only my scientist and a few others are left, and one day mr. nice guy starts to act weird- perhaps he starts having more philosophical talks with her, how maybe the future of evolution lies in Element if the legacy of earth is to be seeded somewhere else where their survival is uncertain. He wants to start changing her mind so that she can start to think and see his perspective... since she's unknowingly been chosen to be the only one who gets spared of the staff, he's grown fond of her and deems her intelligent, strong- the perfect candidate for his future 'Eve' when it comes to overtaking the ship and altering everything in it to his will.
So this is a story of corruption- making her see his ways and agree with him, as well as literally. He's been sneaking element into her to induce its mutagenic effects and make her like him. She obviously never noticed how her food and drink were spiked... not to mention sleeping around with the guy who's basically composed of the stuff means she's exposed via that method as well.
And she'll be in for a rude awakening when one of the staff discovers who the culprit is and he'll reveal himself for what he really is and abduct her while he's at it. By then he's probably cleared up a whole place of the ship and has had it ready for this exact moment. As the RP goes by my character will be made to see his ways, via her own choice or perhaps a bit of influence from the Element which has now started to take a hold of her system and hive minding her a bit. Plus there's room for some more 'monsterish' fun considering he's a full on shapeshifter.
Either way this RP is definitely darker in some aspects- considering that by the end the remainder of the staff will end up eradicated. In the end no matter the efforts of humanity Element will overtake them and create new lifeforms to continue to spread throughout the cosmos. And to do that it needs organic hosts to mutate etc.
Also yes this may or may not have some inspiration from Ark survival evolved- knowledge about the game and its lore is not really necessary for this, just the concept alone is what has me going but hey if its a heavily modified Ark AU that's great too.
Not sure if it's a craving or a kink, but I like idea of offering series of characters for home invaders or serial killer/rapist. Maybe some women who share the same name like an episode of Monk once did. Women who went to school together and are stalked by a man they bullied as kids. Women who work at same place by fired former employee.
[1] this is not 100% fleshed out, and I think I would have to mess around solo a bit in the world building section first, but I kind of want to tackle a rather ambitious SAO-based prompt. a/k/a 'oh no we are trapped in a video game...' but doesn't have to be that? i'm toying with the idea of removing that 'trapped' aspect and writing out both the 'RL' life as well as the 'IG' life. but maybe only IG is better...decisions decisions.
Basically, SAO is a great premise but the anime sucked past the first 13 episode or so. It's a bit ambitious, as I tend to think anything with that level of world-building would do best with a 'systems approach'. Not quite all out stat sheets like in D&D, but that type of thing. With clearly delineated elements, affinities, skills and whatnot.
I've once done something like 'new expacs' dropping while playing otherwise experienced gamers, that was a neat idea also. Basically, in the mood for video games... Oh. I almost feel like a whole cast of NPC is necessary? Hence ambitious.
[2] been loosely interested in an academia setting, but fantasy. 'high-school-y/college-y' feel but older than that age bracket. oh, and with monster girls. replace the entire student body and professors with monster girls & bois. I imagine there will be a fair bit of humor? gym would be hillarious? oh no the fire rooster thing set fire to the english lit class again? hey look, a plot lamia gf could easily fit in...>.>
