What's a RP craving you want so bad but can't seem to make happen? (SEE PINNED POST)

This is rather similar to something I have always wanted to do, though not set in Legend of the Galactic Heroes. But instead a massive role play where each player controls an entire faction in some science fiction setting where everyone is agreed to be roughly equal in power to start.
 
i really enjoy the pixel, futuristic settings. not quite dystopian, and not as corrupt as cyberpunk or bladerunner. VA-11 Hall-A, cloudpunk, red strings club.. hard to find people who are interested in the world building aspect as i'm more focused on that than the smut!
 
A few for me!

1. A more grounded take on street level superheroes in a world with Superman-level heroes that delves heavily into the inner workings of the life. Laws specifically regarding vigilantism, having to rescue civilians in the wake of the big battles, handling lower level crime, etc.

2. Something inspired by Ace Combat/Project Wingman. Cool planes, weird superweapons, and a lot of philosophical debates.

3. Something involving wrestling. Not featuring real wreslters, but like...two wrestlers meeting and starting a relationship, or someone who hates wrestling falling for one.

I'm kind of interested, but would like you to be more specific about what you're looking for. What I understand is that you want an rp in a futuristic setting, maybe a good number of years into the future with the various sci-fi elements that come from that. You however don't want the typical dark dystopian cyberpunk neon light cities sort of rp?

I have a particular idea we could discuss if you're interested, also don't worry I don't see smut as the main focus of this plot. World building can be fun as well.

The concepts for these kinds of rps sound like a ton of fun, the problem is always in the number of people participating. I know not everyone has all that much free time but there's points where some people never participate or never send in that reply and it practically kills the whole thing. I'm talking from experience of doing pretty small scale rps with 3 or 4 partners not the kind of scale I'm thinking of the rp I dream of doing.
 
I understand, it can be a hassle to manage a group rp. Hell, I'm neglecting starting one here because real life keeps getting in the way and my brain still keeps coming up with ideas that I almost want to make a recruitment thread about.

I am familiar with the Big O and Patlabor. And you are welcome to reach out in case it interests you, who knows what may come of it! There are exactly 0 people I know IRL who are into UC Gundam, or Gundam to begin with. Does War In The Pocket happen to be in the list of those you like?

Who was your favorite Assassin in the game? I'd have to go with Holly Summers, Shinobu , or Letz Shake (in that order, though Bad Girl is nice too).
 
I have a couple of them actually. I have been looking for a Riku x female oc in Kingdom Hearts forever. But no one ever seems to want to play Riku.

My second one would definitely be Dragon Age. Finding someone who actually wants to play a dalish for a romance story is damn near impossible.

Same for mass effect. No one wants to play a male quarian. I have had these cravings forever *cries*

I am on two different sites and these are the pairings and rps I can never find partners for.

War in The Pocket's one of my favorites, I love the OVAs that spawned off of the main series. My favorite is as you can tell from my name is Stardust Memory. Wonderful, don't know too many people that I can even talk Big O and Patlabor with. I did meet an rp partner in the past that was into Patlabor and they rped as Kanuka Clancy, but that's all the experience I have with that series. I've yet to do a Big O rp.

For me it's either Dr. Peace or Holly Summers. If I'm just counting the fights, I enjoyed the Shinobu and Bad Girl fights the most.

I've seen it done but I think one of the secrets is that you have to get a small group of people that have been well established in RP, and you've known for a while. The payoff is crazy fun if you can go the distance but I suppose that's the trick, isn't it.

Sweet, the RX 78-NT-1 "Alex" is a pretty good design, though my favorite Suits would have to be the MSN-04 Sazabi and RX-0 Gundam for the cool features they possess. I'll have to admit my knowledge on Big O and Patlabor is really limited, but I'd be happy to discuss a Gundam RP somewhen, even though my queue is pretty full, it's been simmering in my "to-do plots" for about a year now.

Probably would be bittersweet like 0080 too.

Seems to be one of those more elusive fandoms, post apoc and gives me Nausicaa vibes. Really like the setting and it can be expanded on, since most of the wildlife seems to be oversized mutated sealife... somewhere out there in the desert there could totally be an underground 'abyss' like location that's mostly bioluminescent etc)

Been a fan of this anime since forever but it seems to be elusive as well.
 
Recently fell in love with a manga called Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, or Yokohama Shopping Trip in English, and I started to ship the main character Alpha and their friend Kokone together so hard due to a few scenes and chemistry between them, and would absolutely love to make an RP based on this ship. Haven't specifically looked for RPs based on this yet, but I wager that the chances of finding a partner who has read this particular manga, or having watched the two OVA made of this manga are fairly slim outside of some SoL, Iyashikei or old-anime/manga-fan. So I guess this is pre-emptive "can't make this happen" happen.

I will also add an RP based on the anime/manga Aria here as well which I've been looking for some time. Series is more popular than Yokohama, so finding a partner who might be interested in doing something based on this series isn't completely zero I would say, but still something I believe I will never get to do.
 
A Pokémon RP set in either GSC or HGSS Johto is always a high priority. I've decided to step back from playing Canons as my experiences with them were... pretty forgettable if I'm being honest, I could be convinced but it wouldn't happen soon, and likely not with a new partner.

I'd happily take Unova or Sinnoh too (being my favorite Regions), Alola was also quite creative. I could definitely do with a slightly more upbeat tone, at least. Recently, I started working on a post-apoc plot in a new verse that may have gotten a bite.
 
Today marks the day I realized I never even hinted at wanting a Urahara x Yoruichi one-shot (Bleach). Gotta add that one to the list.
 
Right now I'd be down for some One Shot's, simple One Act scenario RP's, even played in one sitting if possible with quick(ish) back and forth responses. That was my introduction to RP and as much as I like the more complex stuff, I do miss the simple quickies.
 
I story that I wanted to RP for literally years but never found someone to do it with. It's about a stripper (male) who meets another guy (A) online and really hit it off with. He meets B in the club and sleeps with, and B becomes increasingly attracted to him.
As time goes on, he begins to develop feelings for A even if they never met; and as he tell him that he would like to meet and see where this might lead them; A tells him that he's seeing someone and that it he wasn't interested in him romantically. Upset about it, he decides to take a break from dating and focus on his studies and work; brushing off B.
Of course, the RolePlayers would know that A and B are the same characters, how the story goes and how the characters will figure it out is up to be written in the RP.
 
There is one plot that I've had a number of false starts with. Specifically it was a slightly smut leaning wuxia theme fantasy roleplay, centered around the son of a merchant dynasty, a slightly perverted fox eared merchant prince, and his oni bodyguard/concubine and their adventures to make money and build their own commercial empire. I've described it as being like spice and wolf but with more martial Arts and sex, and I even got a few biters. But every time when it seems like I've found someone as into the idea as I am, they abandon the RP before it's even gotten off the ground.
