Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

She blinked and crawled to the front of the cage, grasping the bars. "Where's Hanbei-sama?" She asked, sounding worried. "He said he'd be right back..!" Upon closer inspection, Akihime could see heavy scarring around the young girls eyes, she hadn't been blind to start with.

Tears dripped from her white eyes and she shook her head. "No..! He said he'd be back! He promised!" Her lip quivered and she hung her head, trembling a bit.

She wiped her tears and nodded. "I don't have a name..." She said, reaching out through the bars and gently gripping Akihime's sleeve with her slender hand. "Can I please come out..?"

((Huehuehue~))

Nana had gone down the mountain to collect herbs, as she did every so often on her own. She was crouched down at the base of a large tree carefully unearthing roots that she needed for medicines and on occasion some tea. Suddenly a branch snapped behind her and she turned to see who it was.
Motochika could always smell Nana, she never strayed out of range. He was always able to smell her hair, her clothes... her blood? Blood, the overwhelming scent of blood masked any scent of Nana. What had happened? Was Nana ok?

Akihime nodded, "Of course. Let me see if I can't find any keys." She said and moved to locate the cage keys. She found them buried under some papers and let the girl out, "What happened to your eyes, dear?"

Motochika jumped to his feet and headed down the mountain, shouting Nana's name. Please don't let anything have happened to her, she didn't deserve anything ill to befall her.

"Hanbei-sama says I'm broken... They were supposed to heal, but they didn't.." She said quietly, clutching at Akihime's sleeve, eyes staring blankly ahead.

As Motochika crashed through the brush, he came into a clearing, and instantly spotted two people on the ground. A soldier in armor crouched over Nana, who laid on the forest floor. A bloodied sword lay on the ground beside the soldier, who looked like he had his hands wrapped around her throat.

"Oh, you poor darling...maybe I can fix them for you?" She asked, "Would you like that?"

"Get away from her!!" Motochika hollered before ripping the soldier easily off his love and throwing him into a tree.

She gave a small nod, rubbing the tears from her eyes. "Please?" She asked softly; this one would be easy to control.

The soldier slammed into the tree with a sickening crunch, slumping to the forest floor and remaining still. Nana remained where she was, a deep wound cutting through her throats and shoulder, steadily pumping out blood. She stared up at Motochika with unfocused eyes, wheezing softly.

Akihime knelt before her and gently cupped her face, using a soft magic to mend the nerves and fibers.

"Oh Gods...Nana!" He moved over quickly and tried to stop the bleeding, "Stay with me, Nana! Please! I can't lose you, love, please...!"

The young girl stood there, the feeling odd, but it didn't hurt. She opened her eyes slowly, revealing grey eyes, then it clicked in Akihime's head. This young girl looked too similar to Tachi.

Nana hacked and coughed up blood, more blood spilling from her neck and seeping through Motochika's fingers. She placed a weak hand on his, tears falling down her cheeks as a sad smile tugged at her lips.

"Oh." She said, "How is that, dear?"

He shook his head madly, "No, no, please...please, Nana, don't do this." He begged, tears pouring down his cheeks as his voice cracked with grief.

"I can see again.." She said softly, blinking and gently touching her face. "Arigatou.. Okaa-sama..!" She had a bright smile, tears of joy streaking down her cheeks.

There was so much blood, pooled around her, seeping through his fingers and staining his skin red. Her eyes had no life left them, her skin pale from blood loss. She gave his hand one last squeeze before her eyes closed, and her chest stopped moving.
The armor the man wore was Toyotomi, why were his men out so far? Why had he cut down Nana? Why did Motochika always have to suffer?

She blushed and stood quickly, "O-Oh, I'm not...you shouldn't call me that..."

Motochika wailed loudly and held her close, sobbing into her hair. It wasn't fair. What had he done to deserve this? What had she done? He didn't care if her blood caked into him, he just wanted her back. He sat there and sobbed for hours until he couldn't sob anymore; and even then he was still whimpering like a dissatisfied newborn. He picked her up and carried her home to clean her, to fix her wound. He knew some herbs that could preserve her, at least until he grew the strength to bury her in the sea. He made sure she was washed and her wound closed before he placed her in their bed surrounded by flowers he went out and gathered for her. He started to cry again, kneeling beside her body with his head on the bed.

She frowned softly, and looked down at the ground, nodding her head. "H-Hai.." She said softly, looking saddened.

Nana would grow cold, her pale flesh icy to the touch, and along with the herbs the weather helped preserve her. It was growing into winter, so she wouldn't decompose as fast, and there were no bugs to get to her, he only had to watch for scavengers. The Toyotomi crest kept flashing through his head, along with all the blood from his wife.

She frowned, actually feeling bad, "Oh, alright...I guess you can call me Okaa-sama.."

"Don't you worry, Nana. Mark my words, Toyotomi will pay for this with their blood." He said lowly.

A soft blush crossed the girls pale cheeks and she smiled brightly, nodding her head and holding onto Akihime's sleeve happily.

((Time for Chika to attack Osaka~?))

((Yiss~~))

"Send everyone we have! Don't let him reach the gate!!" Mitsunari barked at the soldiers running around like headless chickens. Akihime walked up to him, brows furrowed.
"What's happening?" She demanded. Mitsunari looked to her and bowed, though it was hurried.
"The Ogre of the Western Seas is storming the castle." He answered.

Amaya was at Akihime's side once again, only taking a few days to heal from her broken neck. "Shall I intercept him?" She asked, scowling at the loud noises of destruction just outside the stronghold.

"Let's go see what he wants." She said and headed outside. Motochika was ripping soldiers apart, throwing them into the walls and floors. He stopped when he saw Akihime and snarled, "Hideyoshi sends out a whore to stop me?!" He yelled. Akihime scowled, not appreciating the comment.
"Hideyoshi is dead. I control his army. Why are you destroying my castle?" She demanded.

Amaya stood close to Akihime, ready to attack or transform so Akihime could use her.
"Mama.." A small voice cam from behind Akihime, it was the young girl from the lab, she had made her way to Akihime's side, feathers fluffed up in fear at the sight of Motochika. Even so, she stood with Akihime, not wanting to let her fight on her own. Taloned feet clicked nervously on the stone ground, which was dusted with snow.

Akihime looked and frowned, "Go back inside, Sayuri." She ordered gently, "It isn't safe." Motochika scowled lightly and returned his gaze to Akihime.
"One of your warriors butchered my wife as if she were cattle. I demand recompense." He stated.

Sayuri didn't want to leave Akihime, but nodded and hurried back to the safety of the walls, peeking out from behind a tall pillar. Was that man even human?
"Recompense?" Amaya growled out. "You got to keep your wife's corpse, that's enough." She was angry this man would so brazenly attack Akihime's army, then demand she pay up to him. She wouldn't stand for it.

"You have taken more than demanded." Akihime said but Motochika growled.
"No. Your whole army must pay." He snarled. Akihime made a face before getting an idea. She smiled with a venomous sweetness.
"Would you like your wife back?" She asked. Motochika's expression dropped to shock.
"What...?"
"I can bring her back~ become one of my generals and you can have her back, safe and sound~" Akihime told him.

Nana's smiling face was clear in Motochika's mind. She'd be alive again? He'd be able to hold his wife once more, hear her laugh, lay beside her at night. It made his heart ache. Amaya seemed a bit displeased with the idea of such a beast of a man being a general for Akihime, but she kept her mouth shut.
