Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

"You speak honestly, woman? Toyotomi is not known for keeping their word." He asked, his voice dropping. Akihime held out her hand, smiling brightly.
"You have my word, Ogre." She assured. He looked at her hand before hesitantly taking it.
"Chosokabe Motochika." He informed her softly, "Should I being her?"
"Hai. I will prepare everything. Make haste, Chosokabe-san." She answered. Motochika nodded and left quickly. Akihime giggled victoriously behind her hand.
"Ikuzo, Ama." She said and headed back inside.

"Are you sure we can trust someone like him?" Amaya followed after Akihime, scowling softly as she kept pace with her master.

Sayuri watched the soldiers as they cleaned up the fallen men, Mitsunari in charge of it all. Her raptor eyes watched him curiously, the two little feathers atop her head standing straight up.

"He won't be hard to control. Worry not, Ama." She smiled, heading to prepare the lab for Nana.

Mitsunari felt her staring and turned to her, his eyes hard and uncaring.

Amaya nodded, Akihime's smile melting away her concerns in an instant.

Sayuri flinched when he looked at her, making her duck out of sight and scramble away.
Tachi trembled slightly on Mitsunari's hip, reacting to something, but saying nothing.

"It's nothing, ignore it." Tachi said softly, the blade falling still.

When Motochika returned to his mountain, Nana was exactly where he had left her, still surrounded by flowers and herbs, carefully wrapped in cloth.

Motochika moved and picked her up carefully, making sure he had a secure grip on her before he headed back to Osaka. He talked to her mainly to keep his own sanity, his chest aching at the thought of having her back. To hear her voice and to pet her hair. He was excited. He couldn't wait to resume their lives together.

When Motochika arrived at Osaka, Amaya was waiting for him at the gates, a faint scowl on her face. "Akihime-sama has everything ready, I'll take you to her." She said, turning on her heel and leading him inside the castle.

Motochika followed, Nana nestled against his chest. When they moved down to the labs, Akihime greeted them with a smile. "Welcome, Chosokabe-san. Is this her?"
"Yes. Please, I need her back." He pleaded softly. Akihime nodded and gestured for him to set Nana on the table. He looked confused when he saw a dead koi on the table as well but said nothing.
"Please step back." Akihime ordered and Motochika obeyed.

Nana was beautiful, even as a corpse, though she was preserved quite well. Amaya stood by the door, waiting to be called on if needed.

Akihime used all her magic and focus to turn Nana into a living weapon. She was blasted back just as she was when she brought back Amaya, hitting the counter with a thud.

The corpse on the table was no longer still, a woman sat on the table, magic rolling off of her like water as she looked around with hazy eyes. Storm gray eyes. She was naked, except for the golden scales that covered roughly eighty percent of her body, down her arms and legs, gills flaring on her neck; she looked confused, but not by her own appearance, she didn't seem to notice - or care - how she looked.

"Nana...?" Motochika's voice cracked as he gazed upon her. He didn't seem to care what she looked like either. All that mattered was she was alive again.

Nana turned her head at the familiar voice, a deep ache coming to life in her chest. When she saw Motochika her mouth opened slightly and she tried to get off the table, but she was too wobbly. She slipped off the table, half-crawling toward him with tears in her eyes. "Motochika!"

Nana clung to Motochika, tears dripping from her eyes. "What did you do? Gods it doesn't matter!! I love you!" Akihime didn't hear a thing Nana was saying, but Motochika could hear every word, all in his head.

He didn't even notice, all that mattered was her voice and her in his arms. Akihime cleared her throat and Motochika looked over, frowning.
"I believe payment for my services is due." She said sweetly.

"Payment? Motochika, what is she talking about..?" Nana looked up at Motochika, then at Akihime.

He set her down gently, "Don't worry about it.." He told her gently before moving to Akihime, "Alright, deal's a deal. You...have my services in your forces." He said. Akihime smiled brightly and stuck out her hand.
"Wonderful." She chirped and Motochika took her hand. A dark swirling mist started to engulf up his arm and his eye widened, trying to pull his hand back.
"What are you doing?!"
"Repurposing you. This body does not fit my needs."

Nana's eyes widened. He had gone to a witch to bring her back. Scrambling to get closer to Motochika, fear gripped her chest. She didn't care if her soul had been taken, if she herself was now a demon, but this witch wouldn't lay a finger on her husband, he'd been through enough. "Motochika get away from her!"

"I can't!" He tried to pull free but Akihime was surprisingly strong. The mist consumed him and he started to change. He felt his bones break and repair as he slowly towered over everything in the room. His head pounded in burning agony, his jaw ached, everything was unbearable. When the mist returned and Akihime pulled her hand back, Motochika was an ogre again. He looked himself over in horror before glaring death.
"You deceitful bitch!!" He roared, raising his hand to squash her like a bug. But she didn't move an inch, smile still present.

"Motochika!" Nana's voice rung out in his head, gentle arms around his neck. Normally no one should have been able to reach his neck, but Nana wasn't just anyone. It looked like she was submerged in water, floating just behind him, holding him tightly. "It's ok..! It'll be ok..!" She soothed him. "You're still Motochika, you're still my husband.. I still love you!"

"Ooh~ how lovely~" Akihime remarked and Motochika looked ready to kill her.
"How dare you do such a thing. You tricked me!"
"I did nothing of the sort. Our agreement was for you to join my forces in exchange for your wife's returned existence. I needed you as were, not as a human." Akihime said.

Nana easily maneuvered around to face Motochika, cupping his cheeks with soft hands; it was still Nana after all. "You're still my husband." She urged. "I loved you in this form, and as a human." Nana was only trying to protect Motochika, for if she could bring her back to life, and change Motochika all so easily, she truly was a terror.

Motochika frowned and nodded, "Alright, Nana..." He muttered, "I'm just glad you're back..."
"You will have to stay here." Akihime said, "Both of you."
"But our home..." Motochika looked to Nana before scowling at Akihime, "No."
"Alright, I suppose I could just have Nana killed." Akihime said nonchalantly and Motochika held Nana protectively.
"No! No...I'll...I'll stay..."
