Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Sayuri was bundled under the blankets with Akihime, holding onto one of her hands as she faced her. She shook her head and smiled softly. “I wouldn’t leave you, Mama.” She said softly, as to not disturb the sleeping baby Okane.

Sayuri gave Akihime’s hand a squeeze, smiling back. “Okane-nee thinks the same, she just can’t say it yet..”

Akihime smiled a bit more and gently pet Okane's head as the baby slept between them, "I'm glad...I would be heartbroken more if I lost either of you..."

“I’ll protect you Mama, both you and Okane-nee.” Sayuri said, eyes burning with determination.

"Are we ready to go?" Ieyasu asked from his horse. Daihachi nodded, keeping Minehime in front of him on the saddle. Word had made it to Mikawa that Akihime's forces were weakened, making now the best time to go get the horn cap and maybe liberate Mitsunari from her grasp.

Minehime had only given a small nod, she wouldn’t back down from this now, this was something she had to face.

When they arrived at Osaka castle, Minehime was shocked to see that the rumors were true, the town was nearly a ghost town, and only soldiers remained. “What happened here..?” She looked to Daihachi over her shoulder, eyes wide.

He frowned and shook his head, "I dunno, Mini..." He muttered. He and Ieyasu stabled the horses and dismounted as they looked around, Daihachi helping Minehime down.
"I'm going to go find Mitsunari, you two be careful." Ieyasu said. Daihachi nodded and Ieyasu jogged off, his massive beetle-like Living Weapon, Tadakatsu, trailing easily behind him.

Minehime took Daihachi’s hand, squeezing it tightly as they made their way toward the castle. With every guard they passed she grew more and more unnerved; not a single soldier tried to stop them.

They walked through and Daihachi made a noise, not seeing any sign of Amaya or Akihime. "Let's go try looking in Akihime's room." He suggested softly, "It'll be ok.."

She nodded, still finding it eerie that not one soldier seemed to mind their presence, or maybe they were’nt acting for another reason?

They moved up the stairs and walked to where he remembered Akihime's room being. He slowly pushed the door open and peeked in; the screen veil was closed around Akihime's bed and he gulped nervously. She was in there, hopefully asleep. He gestured for Minehime to keep quiet and slowly entered the room.

Where was Amaya? She typically was always by Akihime’s side, maybe they had left on business? “Wait, Daihachi-nii, something doesn’t feel right..” She whispered.

"Who's there...?" Akihime's tired voice called behind the veil. Daihachi looked and saw her lift her head, "Daihachi-kun...? You came home...?"
"Uh...sort of..." Daihachi answered, "Did I wake you...?"
"No, no...well, sort of...I have to feed Okane anyway..."
"Okane?" Daihachi repeated, clearly confused.
"Hai," Akihime sounded so happy, "Your baby sister...!"

Minehime’s blood ran cold as ice when she heard Akihime had another child, was this one to be condemned to hell too? “Daihachi-nii..” She looked to him questioningly, as if asking with her eyes what to do.

"I missed you so much, Daihachi-kun...however," He could see her hand move gently and Minehime was pushed from the room, the door shutting and locking, "I don't want any Living Weapons in my room."
"Mini!" He tried to pry the door open but it wouldn't budge, "Are you ok?!"

Minehime has gone ass over tea kettle, landing outside in the hall with a grunt. “I-I’m ok!” She got to her feet and tried to open the door. “I can’t open it..!”
