Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Jin said nothing, staying where she was on the floor before she let out a grunt, hunched over on the ground. She started to tremble slightly, then the clang of metal sounded in the room. A bloodied dagger fell from her hands and she slumped forward and collapsed to the ground, blood pooling around her.

"If we get close enough to him, I'll be able to find him, for now we should at least head toward those mountains." Megohime said.

Matsunaga made a noise before signaling his servants. They all gathered together and carried her off to deal with her wound.

Masamune nodded, "Alright, we have a plan." His eye landed on the baby, "What about him?"
"My sister will watch him. Kita is a wet nurse, as you well know." Kojurou answered as he left to deliver his son to his older sister.

After a while, one of the servants returned to Matsunaga, looking nervous and stained with blood. "Lady Jin is... She isn't fairing well. We need to send for a healer, she's losing too much blood, and our surgeon is doing all he can, but without magic intervention... She'll perish."

Megohime rubbed her neck, glancing to Masamune. "I'll take the both of you, the trip on horseback will take too long." Her face flushed slightly.

"I see. We will have to find a healer very soon, won't we?" He said and Kotaro suddenly appeared, "Please find a healer for Jin-dono." He ordered and Kotaro disappeared.

Masamune nodded and kissed her forehead, "Thank you, Mego...don't push yourself though.."

The servant nodded and left to assist with healing Jin. The woman lay on a bed, her innards having been placed back into her body, but they still were quite damaged. She had managed to cut through a good amount of her intestines, and the healer did his best to see them back together and patch her back up, but a mages magic would be needed if she were to survive.

"I'm fine, I'm not old like you." She said nudging him lightly, but leaning into him as she waited for Kojurou to return.

Kojurou returned after leaving his son with Kota and grabbed his swords, "Let's go." Masamune took Megohime's hand and kissed the back of it, "Let's get to it, hag~" He teased

Megohime blushed and moved outside so she had enough space to transform with out destroying the castle. Once she transformed, she lowered herself to the ground so Masamune and Kojurou could climb on. "You're not allowed to talk while we do this." She sounded embarrassed, and she had every reason to be. Never before had she let anyone ride her while in the form of a dragon.

Masamune pat her neck affectionately, "I shan't speak a word~ though I do have some jokes to tell you when we're done~"
"Now is not the time to be flirting, Masamune-sama." Kojurou said firmly.

Once the both of them had a firm hold on Megohime, she took to the sky, heading in the direction Kojurou told her to. She was right, it only took them about forty-five minutes by air. It would've been shorter, but if Megohime went full speed, Masamune and Kojurou would fall off. Circling over the mountain range, she scanned around with a low grumble. "There's a small town a couple miles from the mountain range, should we start there?"

"Yeah, let's go for it. Someone is bound to have seen something." Masamune said. Kojurou was death gripping Megohime's hair, finding a new fear of heights.

Megohime gave another soft rumble before making her way down toward the town, trying to make the descend as easy on her passengers as possible. She was descending steadily, when she suddenly made a sharp turn, descending at an even faster rate. "Masamune! I can smell her!" Megohime rumbled as she did her best to move fast, but not enough to dislodge Masamune and Kojurou. "She's bleeding. A lot." She was headed straight for a large manor, rather isolated and overlooking the lake at the base of the mountains.

"Wait, where are we going? Weren't we headed for that village?" Kojurou asked. Masamune looked back at him.
"Mego has a new lead. We're gonna check that place out first." He explained. Kojurou gave a nod and Masamune stroked Megohime's neck.
"How much has she lost? Can you tell from here?" He asked, he didn't want Kojurou to hear.

Megohime chirped nervously. "Enough to be concerned." Within the minute, Megohime had landed on the courtyard ground of the estate, lowering herself to the ground so they could get off.

"Wait a moment. I know this place..." Kojurou said, "This is the home of Matsunaga Hisahide."
"Oh God..." Masamune muttered, rubbing his face anxiously. Kojurou looked over quickly.
"What?"
"Nothing. We should hurry." Masamune said.

Megohime reverted to a humanoid form, following after Masamune and Kojurou, glancing at Kojurou every now and again. She didn't smell the scent of death, but it was close, Jin was dying.

Kojurou didn't want to waste any time, he threw open the main doors and hurried inside, "Matsunaga Hisahide!"
"Yeah, that's a good idea, let's let everyone know we're here, Kojurou." Masamune muttered. Kojurou glared lightly before Masamune suddenly shoved him down, three shurikun burying into the wood door behind them. Kojurou groaned and looked before thanking Masamune.

Megohime scowled softly and sniffed the air, her gaze shifting to the hallway on the left. "She's that way, just up those stairs and to the left." She said quietly.

"Kojurou, you and Mego go find Jin. I'll deal with the smartass skulking in the shadows." Masamune said.
"Are you sure?" Kojurou asked, "I cannot leave you to fight on your own."
"I'll be fine. Go!"

Megohime gave a last glance at Masamune before heading up the stairs with Kojurou, following the heavy scent of blood down the hall and into what appeared to be a dining room. It was empty, all except for a pool of blood on the floor. She scowled and smelled the air again, trying to find Jin.

"Please tell me that's not hers.." Kojurou pleaded softly, eyes glued to the pool. His chest was aching, the thought of being too late to save his wife hurt more than anything in the world.

Megohime took ahold of Kojurou's wrist, pulling him away from the blood, not answering his question. "She's this way, c'mon." She said softly as she led him down another hall and to a closed door.

His heart was pounding in his ears. He was so scared. Was she ok? Would she be upset that he took so long? He stood frozen, unable to even reach for the door. But he had to, in hopes that he would see Jin's smiling face beyond. He reached for the door and threw it open, "Jin!" He called, but the sight before him sent ice through his blood.

His wife did not respond, she couldn't. There was no happy smile for Kojurou, only a scene out of a nightmare. Jin's stomach had been sliced open, her innards exposed, and a man working to stitch everything back together. Jin was pale, laying unmoving in a bed that was stained with her blood. The only give away that she wasn't dead was the shallow rise and fall of her chest.
"Shit.." Megohime couldn't help but take a small step back, her heart falling into her stomach.

"Ah, I see you did manage to arrive after all." Kojurou turned sharply and glared at Matsunaga.
"And you grew tired of waiting so you tried killing her?" Kojurou snarled. Matsunaga looked unfazed, hands clasped behind his back.
"On the contrary," he stated, "she made the attempt herself."

Megohime scowled deeply, stepping to move between Kojurou and Matsunaga. "Kojurou, get Jin outta here, I'll keep this old pervert busy." She said, extending her hand at her side, a blade appearing in hand.
