Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

"Akihime! Akihime!" The priestess turned and scowled heavily at Sasuke's presence.
"What do you want?" She asked, though it was clear she didn't care. Sasuke held out Sayuri, looking like he was about to have a heart attack.
"I-I've done everything I can but the infection just gets worse...! Please help her...!" He begged. Akihime actually looked saddened at the sight of her oldest child. She gingerly took Sayuri from Sasuke and headed off to heal her.

Mitsunari was equally as quiet, as he usually was. The wound on his back had healed nicely, thanks to Tachi.

Sayuri moaned weakly in pain as she was shifted around, her head resting against Akihime's bosom like a sleeping child. "Mama..." She whimpered, face twisted in pain. "Gomenasai..."

Tachi ghosted his finger along the nasty scar on his lovers back, frowning softly, he only wished it was never there to begin with.

"Sshh...hush, my darling...explain everything when you're better.." She said gently before gently laying her on the medical bed. She gently unwrapped the wound and her heart jumped into her throat. This really was terrible. If something wasn't done soon, she would lose Sayuri. She went to work immediately, giving Sayuri a potion to numb her pain before having to scrub the wound with warm water and soap.

Mitsunari hunched slightly, "Stop blaming yourself.." He muttered, feeling the displeasure radiate off of his love.

The potion hardly did anything. The pain was worse now than it was when her sight was first robbed from her. She screamed and thrashed, needing to be held down by Akihime's assistants, who barely managed to do so. One eye was still remaining in its socket, not yet completely dead, but mostly destroyed, it was salvageable, but the other eye was completely missing, torn clean from its socket.

"It could've been healed better." He muttered, letting his fingers run along the thick scar that ran down his back. He made a dissatisfied noise, letting his hands rest on Mitsunari's hips as he leaned in to gently kiss along the scar.

She stopped only when the wound was clean. She sfopped and gave Sayuri a moment to relax, cooing and petting her hair gently, "You're alright, darling...I know it hurts but it's clean now. I can start healing you now.."

Mitsunari relaxed, enjoying the attention. He placed his hands over Tachi's and laced their fingers.

Sayuri trembled in agony, shaking her head weakly. "N-No more... Please Mama...! Please! I'm sorry!" She started to sob. "I promise not to be bad again..!" She was near hysterics, poor girl.

Tachi kissed up to his shoulder, then gently nibbled at his neck and earlobe. He gave his hands a squeeze, and rested his chin on Mitsunari's shoulder, holding him against his chest.

"Sshh, darling...you weren't bad. Just relax. Mama will take good care of you." She soothed.

Mitsunari sat quietly against him, petting the feathers he could reach.

Sayuri would cry and whimper for the rest of the time Akihime was working on healing her, only falling silent when her fever finally pulled her into unconciousness once more.

When morning came, Jin hadn't slept much at all durning to night, being awake to see the sunrise light up her room. She was still wearing the same clothes from the day before, regardless of the fact that Matsunaga had given her clothes for sleeping.

Akihime would have to use her magic in small increments, first to ease the fever and purge any more of the infection. It was long and tiring work, but she didn't feel any illness in Sayuri. She took a moment to restore her magic and energy, letting Sayuri sleep.

After a bit, there was a knock on the door and a servant peeked in, "Um...my Lady, Matsunaga-sama wishes to share his morning meal with you." She said gently

Sayuri slept peacefully as the sun came over the mountains, she was exhausted from fighting off the infection on her own for so long. It had enetered her blood stream, had Sasuke waited any longer to take her in, she would have died.

Jin slowly sat up, staring out the window for a moment before glancing over her shoulder at the servant. "May I bathe first?" She asked softly.

"Is everything well, Akihime-sama?" An assistant asked. Akihime looked up, eyes tired.
"Her fever is gone and the infection has been purged from her system. Once I have regained my energy, I will heal her eyes."
"Of course."

The servant nodded, "Of course, please come this way, I will prepare your bath."

Sayuri's complextion was still quite pale, but she was regaining her color; it take time for her to return to perfect health.

Jin stood and followed the servant out of the room, following her quietly down the hall and to the bath house. She waited patiently as the woman drew her a bath, thanking her before being left on her own to bathe. She wasn't truly alone, she knew just outside the door was either Kotaro or a servant, but at least she had privacy. Unfolding the cloth she had hidden in her dress, she carefully pulled a bit of the cloth through her wedding band, making sure the two would stay together when she transported them. She closed her eyes and focused on the spell in her head. When she opened her eyes again, she held a dagger from the Date armory. She felt her heart ache at the loss of her ring, but it would hopefully be found soon. She tucked the dagger into her clothing, washed herself, and dressed in clean clothes, making sure the dagger was hidden in her skirts before emerging from the bath house.

Two provinces over, in the Date armory, one weapon had gone missing, and in its place, a ring with a cloth tied through the loop, a wedding band, and a cloth with a mountain range sewn into it with white-gold strands of hair.

The servant bowed respectfully and took Jin to the dining room to eat. Matsunaga was waiting, smiling in greeting when Jin entered. He did not speak to her, knowing it was a pointless endeavor, so he merely gestured for her to sit.

When one of the servants went down to the armory to take inventory for the army, he spotted the ring and cloth and found it odd, picking them up and moving to find Kojurou.

She sat as gestured, silent as ever, but that was to be expected. No man could tie a woman down, force feed her, and expect her to speak with him the next day. What was different however, was that when the food was set out, she actually started to eat, and all without prompts or threats.

Megohime had just returned from helping with the search for Jin, normally, she'd never leave the estate, even if Masamune ordered it. But when Kojurou came to her asking for her help, she couldn't help but give in. They were standing over a map, where she was marking where she picked up her scent. "I didn't find any foreign scents, but Jin's scent led directly from the estate into the forest behind the village where that boy said he saw her." She moved her finger along the map once more. "Her scent was strong all the way to the border, where it dissapeared." She scowled and folded her arms over her chest. "I retraced to see if I had lost the scent on my own fault... But it's like she just vanished. I couldn't even pick it up on the other side of the border... I'm sorry."

"I'm glad to see you eating of your own will." Matsunaga remarked.

Kojurou looked disheartened but nodded, "Arigatou, Megohime-dono...I appreciate your help."
"Ano...Katakura-sama?" The servant from the armory approached, still looking confused, "I found this hiding with the daggers. Its just some band and cloth."
"That's not just any band. That's Jin's wedding band!" Kojurou nearly snatched the cloth from the boy, taking the ring and holding it in his palm.

Jin refused to look up at him, acknowledging his words by hesitating before spearing more food on her fork. "Yes." She said softly, not wanting to even look at him, she felt she would vomit if she did. Eating slowly, she focused on not vomiting. She couldn't, not now.

"Her wedding ring?" Megohime looked confused, shaking her head. "Her scent tracked no-where near the armory." She moved closer, holding out her hand. "May I?" She asked softly. "I can smell Jin... But there's another scent.."

He didn't say another word, just ate in silence. He hoped she was coming around but knew far better.

"Another?" Kojurou asked before unfolding the cloth. It was a mountain range, but Kojurou couldn't quite pinpoint where.

Once Jin had finished, she set her silverware down, wiping her mouth with the napkin, setting that down as well. "May I return to my room now? I'm not feeling well."

Megohime's eyes widened slightly and she looked to Kojurou. "Kojurou.. That's hair.." She pointed out, smelling the napkin once more. "And it's a man... The other scent on this is a mans."

Matsunaga nodded and gestured with his hand that she could leave.

"H-Hair...? She made this with her hair...?" He looked more distraught now than he did these passed weeks, "Could you track the man's scent?"

((ditches them for a bit))

"I could yes.. But his scent wasn't near Jin's, it's new... I-I don't know who this is." She frowned. "If I could match the scent to the man, I could pick him out of a crowd. But I didn't pick it up anywhere in Oshuu.."

As the Generals filed in and took their seats, it was clear most of them - if not all - had their advisors standing behind their respective Generals chair. A few other Generals also attended the meeting, ones already in Toyotomi's army since before Akihime was in charge. The only chair that seemed to be empty however, was Motochika, but Nana still stood- no, floated -behind where Motochika should have been sitting.

"Nana-dono, how kind of you to come in Motochika's place. I would hate for him to break anything trying to join us today." Akihime smiled, but it was fake.
