Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Jin quickly pulled the cloth into her sleeve, careful not to give away what she was doing by being obvious. She turned her head and glanced over her shoulder at Matsunaga. "That's fine. Leave it on the desk." She said softly, turning back to look out the window.

She didn't answer, only continued to look out the window. She willed him to leave, glaring down a the lake, willing him to close the door and leave.

Like always, Jin didn't touch a single thing on her plate, not even the glass of water. Making sure her knife was hidden under the mattress, she folded up the cloth with the mountain range sewn into it with her hair, hiding it against her breast beneath her dress, tucking the wooden needle into one of the books.

After a short while, she could hear his footsteps approaching her room. The door opened and Matsunaga stepped in once again. He saw her untouched food and frowned softly, "I see. Still refusing to eat."

"I am not hungry." She said softly, still standing at the window; one she tried very hard to open, even if on what she was guessing the fourth floor, something she'd never get out unscathed from jumping.

Her weist was grabbed and she was pulled from the window. It was Kotaro, and he bound her to the bed in an upright position while he held her head up by her chin. Matsunaga took the plate of food and moved toward her, "Forgive the absolute rudeness, but you really must eat."

"Don't touch me!" Jin kicked and struggled, hard enough to make the wood of the bed posts groan with the amount of force she tried to pull herself free with. She tried to thrash her head free from Kotaro's grip, even going as far as trying to bite him, fear gripping her chest.

Kotaro jabbed a pressure point to keep her still, her whole body feeling like pins and needles. He lifted her head and Matsunaga offered a forkful of food.

Jin couldn't move anything below her neck, like the rest of her body had been cut off from her brain. She grunted and clamped her jaw shut when he stuck the food in her face, refusing to eat even then.

Kotaro squeezed the sockets of her jaw, the nerves screaming in protest before they forced her mouth open. Matsunaga pushed the fork into her mouth and Kotaro made sure she swallowed the food.

Jin felt tears slip down her cheeks, but at the same time felt far away from her body. After that first bite, she went completely limp, not fighting them, but not eating willingly either. She stared passed Matsunaga with unfocused eyes, her tears continuing to flow.

Once the plate was empty, Matsunaga moved away and grabbed the glass of water, helping her drink some of that before he moved away. He collected the dishes and left silently. Kotaro hit the pressure point again and unbound her before leaving as well in a swirl of feathers.

Jin slumped over on the bed, curling up with her back to the door. Tears still fell down her cheeks, feeling as though she would vomit, but she didn't want to move.

Sayuri had spent three days since her injury, and she refused any treatment other than the treatment Sasuke could provide for her, but her health was starting to deteriorate fast. She had come down with a fever, and no matter how much Sasuke cleaned the wound, the infection wouldn't clear up, getting worse by the day.

Sasuke looked distraught. He did everything he could and it wasn't enough. "Yuri, maybe we should..." he was going to be sick, "go see Akihime..." His skin crawled at the mere mention of her name.

She shook her head furiously, lower lip trembling, and her hair plastered to her forehead with sweat. "No..! Mama can't know..!" She whimpered. "I'll be ok..!" Her voice trembled just as bad as her body, skin hot to the touch and lacking color.

"Yuri, you're really sick...! If we don't get you proper attention, you could die...! I don't wanna lose you...! Please...? I'll stay with you the whole time and protect you if she gets mad..." He pleaded

Again, she refused, shaking her head. "No! No, I can't!" She started to panic. "Please don't make me! Please!" She begged him, tears leaking from her ruined eyes and through the bandages.

His heart broke, "Sayuri..." He couldn't fail again. His heart couldn't take losing someone else. "Please...?" He sounded like he was going to cry, "Please, I don't want you to die..."

Something finally caught Sasuke's attention, Sayuri's breathing was labored, she was sweating badly and trembling. "I... I can't.." Had she been struggling to speak the entire time? Her head lulled, but quickly was brought back upright; something was horribly wrong.

He didn't care. He would find her as many shiny things as he could to make it up to her, but he wasn't going to watch her die. He picked her up carefully and hurried to find Akihime.

Sayuri didn't object, she couldn't, she was unconscious at this point. She was so light in Sasuke's arms, head resting against his chest and her breath coming out in ragged puffs.

Tachi had seated himself behind Mitsunari, gently scrubbing his masters back as they soaked in the bath, steam rolling off the water and fogging the room. He was silent as always, hair dropping with water.
