Last Movie You Saw...

The Batman.

Honestly? I watched it with friends and family, and they all loved it. Strong contender for greatest Batman movie is what I heard from them. I loved the theme and how it feels more like a Detective movie, and it was honestly like a horror movie at times. Phenomenal film, all around!

Sonic 2!

Strangely it felt more like a kids' movie than the first one despite being absolutely packed to the gills with nostalgic references. Frankly some of my favorite renditions for Sonic and his friends, and overall a pretty dang good performance from Carey, kinda reminded me of his 90's stuff a little bit.

The Northman. Really well shot. Good actors. Viking Save put to film is the way I view it. Reminds me of the Green Knight in a way. Much more violent though.

Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness
I liked it, cool action, cool effects, and I was happy the trailer (at least the one I saw) didn't spoil some key things. I was kind of disappointed that [Redacted](I was happy it wasn't spoiled for me, I don't want to spoil it for others) was able to defeat so many supposedly strong characters so easily, but...yeah, overall I think it was good.

Honestly still reeling more from Spiderman: No way home, though. I watched it the day before because I wanted to catch up in case it came up in Doctor Strange... Did not see that ending coming and it is just so freaking sad. T_T

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

Absolutely awful. I don't even know where to begin. I don't understand how you can take so much of the source material, try to copy it entirely, and then fuck it all up so terribly. At least the other, awful, Resident Evil live action films were just kinda doing their own thing and making shit up as they went. This film just shits the bed in every single way possible. None of the characters are anywhere near accurate to their game counterparts. They somehow made Brian Irons a likable character, the serial killer chief of police, who is a total creep and calls Sherry a "little bitch" in REmake2. Wesker is a total jokester. Leon is an incompetent goober. Jill is wet as fuck for Wesker. Barry doesn't even exist.

The list goes on an on. The inaccuracies are staggering and done in such a way that it's baffling.

Like... wat? What? Why?

I am left feeling like I managed to do nothing but waste my time. I'm not happy. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to not even bother.

When I was a child, Cloverfield scared me so badly I stopped watching before the 30 minute mark. This morning (because I'm way too chicken to watch it at night) I braved the terrors of my childhood and watched the movie to its completion! The movie was nowhere near as terrifying as I led myself to believe as a child, but maybe it was more the shock factor?

I mean, seeing some of the deaths, the found footage aspect of the film, it was all a new and interesting way to tell a story, at least at the time it was. Especially to a child, haha. Good movie though!

Jurassic park. Movie still holds up extremely well visually, a lot of it still looks stunning.
