The Demon Lord Rises (Broomhandle and Princess)

"Why would I be?" Pit said curiously, brow raised. "Are you not supposed to look good?" He didn't understand why they were still talking about this, what was the big deal? "Do you want to look ugly?" he said dryly. "Because that sounds really stupid to me, why are we even discussing this still?"

He..wasn't joking, was he? He actually liked the way she looked? Of course, the one time someone was being serious she had to be obnoxious about it. "You're stupid." She decided as they approached the end of the hallway with a large set of stairs leading to the second floor. "I assume I take these stairs, right?" She was going to change the subject. She wasn't sure if she could really handle the thought of someone actually finding her good looking.

"Tch, whatever, yes," Pit grumbled, giving her a shove. "Come on, get going. And if I find out you're lying, you got worse problems than me to deal with." He'd never understand people...he preferred the quiet of the sky. Less complications, less talking back. He would be so glad when this whole stupid mess was over...hopefully they were finished being disgusting together.

"You don't have to be so rough." Chi muttered as she began to ascend up the stairs. "I'm not lying, I really did help Lady Medusa," Now that she was possibly within earshot of her she'd use the correct honorific. "What's it to you, anyway? Why do you care?"

"None of your business," he huffed. "You're the one sneaking around anyway!" But it didn't matter, really...if she did help Medusa, then she'd be fine. But why in the world was she sneaking around in the first place? He was grateful that the noises had slowed, because the women here seemed irritable when they heard them, he didn't understand this stupid castle. But he noticed the guards were looking impatient and uncomfortable, they seemed to get that way around him. Stupid place.

They weren't pregnant either, poor them. What was with them all acting like some stupid, grubby animals?

"Lady Medusa has a guest," Pit muttered, thumb jabbed toward Chi. "Let them know we're here."

The woman glanced at Chi faintly a moment, before turning toward the door and knocking firmly before slipping inside, silent as a ghost. They had been there since they got back, and Pit didn't understand it in the slightest.

Chi folded her arms and waited patiently, feeling butterflies in her stomach now that she was actually here. Not to mention, she could smell that musky scent coming from the door. Sex, that's what it was. It was confusing to say the least, considering she never did see Medusa as that type of woman, or any Goddess really.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the woman came out with Medusa trailing behind her. She looked...much angrier than Chi would have liked, especially when she glanced down at her to regard her. It was clear she was waiting for an explanation, and Chi decided to go for it.

"Lady Medusa, you're looking as lovely as ever. Positively radiant." It was true, she definitely looked much better than before, she seemed to be enjoying herself here. Still, when Medusa did not give her a response, she decided to continue on. "It's Chi, remember? We met weeks ago, I told you where to find Ganondorf."

"I remember. So what are you doing here?" Medusa asked as she crossed her arms, her eyes lazily moving towards Pit curiously. Did he let her inside? How could she have possibly snuck in here undetected? "How did you get in?"

"I...just kind of got in. There's a lot of....hidden places someone like me can sneak into. It wasn't hard. For me, anyway." Medusa's scrutinizing gaze was back on her, and it was really making her regret coming here in the first place. "Sorry, I just...wanted to see you."

"For what, exactly?" The Goddess asked Chi, who only sighed in response. She forgot, didn't she? Fine...she'd approach this another way.

"To offer my services to you, Lady Medusa. I could sneak into Hyrule Castle as easily as I could sneak into your fortress." She answered confidently. Medusa was quiet for a moment before she turned back to Pit.

"Why don't you escort Chi to a room and keep an eye on her until I'm finished with my affairs, Pit." It wasn't her asking, she was telling him. Chi didn't like that answer...not at all.

"What?" Pit muttered. "Why? Can't you let the guards watch her?" he grumbled. "What's the big deal, anyway?" Were they still doing that!? Why the hell was she so grumpy about it? Did her entire plans for world domination get sidetracked because that big dumb oaf knew how to have sex?

"I'm asking you, because you can catch her if she flies away. Don't question my orders, just do it. I won't be long." Medusa had no patience for his attitude, at least not today. Chi was a minor detail, but if she was as useful if she claimed to be, she might have a use for her....

"Pfft, as if he could catch me." Chi muttered under her breath after Medusa disappeared inside her room again. She wasn't sure if Medusa planned to have him take her to a cell, but it was obvious she didn't want her to leave. That was something, right?

"Ugh," Pit grumbled, grabbing her by the arm. "Come on, let's get out of here before they make those disgusting sounds again." Unbelievable, this is what he was being used for? Babysitting some brat girl? Why? What the hell was...ugh, whatever. Just whatever, it didn't matter. They'd probably spend all stupid day doing that gross stuff, who gave a crap about grand plans anymore?

"Noises?" Chi asked curiously as he pulled her along. Then again, if everything smelled like sex...he probably meant sex noises. Who would Medusa even be with? "Hey, don't be in such a rush to go! I like noises!" What did Medusa even sound like when she was being fucked by some unknown stallion? She couldn't even imagine it. Or maybe she was with a woman...Pit was the only guy here from what she had seen in the castle. Somehow she could picture that better.

"As much as you talk, that isn't surprising," Pit grunted, tugging her along regardless. "Now come on, she wanted me to keep an eye on you, so let's go." Ugh, he supposed she could stay with him in his tower...as much as he didn't want that, Medusa'd have a fit otherwise.

"Ugh, let go of my arm! You're walking too fast!" Chi whined as he dragged her along with him. What was he so mad about? From the way he talked to Medusa it seemed like he didn't like her too much. "Why are you even doing what she asked? You clearly don't want to, just let me go and I'll find somewhere to wait for her myself."

"Just shut up and follow me," Pit grumbled, lifting off the ground. "I'm not dealing with having to find you again, and I'm not dealing with her being mad at me either." Like it or not, he was watching her, and he currently wasn't liking it. Why did she get the choice to do whatever, why didn't he? Why would she be so dumb as to ruin freedom?

"What, are you scared of her or something?" Chi asked, although she did not bother to fly with him. She didn't really want to go to wherever he was going to take her, and he was being rude anyway. He could carry her for all she cared. Seriously, all the scowling ruined his good looks. What was wrong with him? "I'm not going to run away, and I don't want to be around someone who doesn't want to be around me."

He turned to face her, glowering in irritation as he did simply that, letting go of her wrist to simply grab her and hoist her up, scooping his arm underneath her legs and back. "I'm not afraid of her," he muttered irritably. But he had no choice, he was stuck. Unlike her, so he would be as damn well sour as he pleased that some stupid girl was giving up her freedom, for what? Loyalty? What did that even matter?

...She smelled nice.

Really nice, actually. Couldn't place the smell, maybe it was some stupid scent that Skyworld had that his dumber half enjoyed. Airy, like a scented wind. She must fly a lot too. He wondered, faintly...if there were more places than this, there had to be, right?

"Hey, what are you-." Too late, he already picked her up! Chi didn't actually expect him to carry her, especially seeing her perfectly functional and somewhat ugly wings, but it wasn't exactly a bad feeling either. Her cheeks flushed a bit, but she couldn't help but smile. "Uhuh, well you should be. She's scary, and really dangerous." She couldn't help but notice his scent either...he smelled different than all the other angels she had met. Sort of a similar scent to Medusa, actually, which was strange. Had they spent a lot of time together?

"Hmph," Pit grumbled, lifting up off the ground properly. "Don't tell me what I already know, it's fine. You're better off just staying with me anyway, alright?" Couldn't believe he was doing this crap, regardless of his own personal grumblings, which...he seemed to have the enviable talent of being able to mutter in-between his words about how stupid it all was, he flew towards the only obvious point on the castle. It looked somewhat recently constructed, but it was a tall tower that one could see almost the entire desert from. The view was wonderful, and he had a large assortment of pillows assembled, it was all a very sparse, boring sort of place. And entirely focused outward.

"So just stay up here," he ordered, shifting his arm off her legs. "That way, she can just come here and you can spare yourself her anger."

Chi slid out of his arms, as much as she enjoyed being against his warmth. For a second she decided to enjoy the view, even if there wasn't much to look at. She could faintly see the outline of death mountain on the horizon. She could always figure out where she was just by looking at it. "Nice place." Chi complimented passively as she decided to make herself comfortable, having a seat on his nest of pillows. It had been quite a long time since Chi had a home to be in, but she didn't mind it most nights. "I guess I don't mind waiting here. I don't know why she'd be angry at me, though."

"Who knows," Pit grumbled, he was going to complain, but where else could she sit, exactly? He had no real choice but to sit a respectable distance away from her. "I don't know, it's just easier to do what she says." he said, hands behind his head with a close of his eyes. Why was he needed if she already had someone like Chi? He didn't understand, what was the point of it? Did she just like having some little toy to boss around?

"Well, she is a Goddess, even if she doesn't look like one right now." Chi decided to take some extra time looking him over since his eyes were closed. "You said..she calls you Pit. You didn't have a name before that?" She was curious as to what his story was, even though it seemed like he had no intention to share it with her.

"Nope," Pit said idly, his wings twitching faintly in irritation. "Sounds familiar to me, anyway...so Pit works, why?" he asked. "What's wrong with that?"

"I guess there's nothing wrong with it. Unless you ever run into the guy who shares your face and name." Chi answered with a smirk. She still couldn't quite make sense of it, how that obnoxious Pit in Skyworld had a double lurking around in Hyrule. Though she had a feeling it had something to do with Medusa, who had been sworn enemies with him because she was enemies with Palutena. This was definitely her doing, but what exactly did she do? "I have a feeling you will if you're hanging around Medusa."

"And?" Pit grumbled, even though he tried to hide it, it was clear even the very mention of him was irritating, his arms tensing in his relaxed position as his eyes opened half-way, his soft red seemed so much sharper then as he quietly glared at the ceiling, as if it would offer an answer to a question he already knew: He wasn't the real Pit, the real Pit was some fancy hero type in Skyworld, so Medusa just wanted to play pretend with him.

"Then I guess that guy better watch out if I ever find him," he muttered crossly. "Is there a point to these questions, or are you just here to annoy me?"

"I'm here because you took me into your arms and flew me to your love nest." Chi said quite matter-of-factly as her eyes met with his. "I'm not just going to sit here in silence, not unless you intend to put your hand over my mouth again." Honestly, when it happened she was terrified...but thinking back on it, it was kind of arousing.

He glanced at her a moment, before letting out a long sigh as he reclined back further. "...Fine," Pit muttered. "But don't ask me such stupid questions, alright?" He said, closing his eyes again.

...He supposed she wasn't so bad, really. She wasn't really being noisy, but she sure talked a lot. He...supposed that was kind of okay, too. It's not like Medusa liked talking with him, ever.
