Valerie was a bit amused as Mika broke away to start swimming. She was about to break away but noticed that more guys were congregating around Angel than her. It made sense, since Angel had bigger boobs and a true woman's body rather than Valerie's slightly still adolescent body, but strangely, Valerie found that it made her jealous. She couldn't really explain why, but she wanted more guys checking her out than Angel. Shifting her body, she seemed to be looking out the window in a way that jiggled her breasts for a second and made her ass more attractive, not that they could see it from the front. Every now and then, she would change position to make her breasts jiggle again, and this attracted some attention from Angel to her, who wasn't moving much.
While most of the guys were focused on Angel and Valerie, one guy walked past the rest and directly toward Mika. He was a young man with movie star good looks, a muscular physique complete with six-pack abs, and a confident swagger about him that was all natural. What was most distinctive about him, however, was that his entire body except for his face was covered in scars, including a nasty looking scar that looked like a knife wound on his chest. Rather than being ashamed of these scars, the young man embraced them as badges of honor, reminding him of the battles he had overcome and the friends he had made. The young man went over to the edge where Mika was swimming and got down on his feet like how a catcher in baseball would position.
"What's a beautiful girl like you doing all alone?"
He gave her a charming smile and extended his hand.
"My name's Scott Young. What's yours?"
Brandon sighed as he thought about it.
"Angel and I had a red hot relationship at first. We couldn't get enough of each other at first. That should cool over time, I know, but it seems like it cooled faster than it should have."
"Do you think she's cheating?" Derek asked.
"No, of course not, that's not what I meant."
"She was just ready to be less physical before you were."
"Yes. But more than that, our relationship is so hot and cold now that I can't predict her. Last night I took her to the Fun Palace."
"Oh, man, I miss going there."
"Yeah, and it should have made for a magical date like out of a movie, right?"
"I'm guessing it didn't?" Derek asked, leaning back in the chair to listen in more comfort.
"It ended badly. I won her this prize bear, and she called me that stupid nickname Brandy that she knows I hate and does it anyway sometimes just to irritate me, and wanted to call the bear that. When I was less than thrilled at her joke, she got upset. We didn't fight, but for a night that started out so strong, it had a less-than-stellar ending."
"Well, you guys are gonna be okay, right?"
"Most of me thinks so, but there's a small part of me that wonders if we're drifting apart. Sometimes people change and it ends the relationship. I love Angel with all of my heart, but between the mood swings becoming more frequent and the sex becoming almost non-existent, I don't feel that happy right now."
"I hear you, man. Think positive, though, it could just be a rough patch."
Brandon nodded.
"Oh, believe me, I have no plans to break up with Angel. I love that girl more than she could imagine. Maybe I ought to talk to her about the mood swings. That's what gets to me more than losing the sex, because at least we still snuggle for physical closeness."
"That would be a good idea, man. Communication is everything in relationships."
