Fixers (Beautiful_Disgrace and I)

Olivia glared down at Luce, her cheeks starting to get red. "You got a problem with me, you fucking cunt?" She asked as she put a hand on her hip. Rayna looked up at Olivia and frowned. They really shouldn't have been arguing on this mission.

"Stop it. If we fight, we're not going to get out of this alive." She told her, though Olivia just continued to stare at Luce expectantly.

"You need to take the stick out of your ass, girl," Luce muttered, arms crossing in annoyance. "You want this to work, you need to listen. How you lasted this long on your own is beyond me. None of us want to die, so shut your fucking mouth and pay attention when shit happens."

Aernir lifted his head, his vision returning somewhat before he attempted to move his leg. Not yet. He leaned his head back and sighed. He didn't want to hear these two right now.

"You insult me and then expect me to work well with you? Tch...Fuck you. I can make it just fine on my own, and I'll show you. Catch up with me once your friend can move again." Olivia started walking ahead with her flashlight. Rayna was about to go after her but Aernir grabbed her arm.

"Let her go. She'll do whatever she wants. She's causing more problems than we need right now..."

"Pain in the ass," Luce muttered, grimacing in annoyance as she left. Better off, probably...ugh. Why did people always have to act like they knew everything? "Sure wish Wizard would have known about all of this shit, now we have no choice but to keep going anyway."

"Yeah..." Aernir grunted as he tried to move some more. He didn't have complete control yet...just a little bit longer. More gunshots were fired above...she really did go on ahead, didn't she? Crazy bitch.. "I'm going to be really pissed if the actual Android we're looking for isn't here..." Here he thought this was going to be an easy mission...

"I...don't like leaving her alone up there. Maybe I should go on ahead while you stay with Aernir, Luce?" Olivia was brash but...she reminded her of Luce in a way. She didn't want to go upstairs and find her dead...

"...No, I'll find her," Luce sighed. "...If you think she's worth the trouble, Rayna." she mumbled, glancing at her a moment. "...You be careful, alright? Don't do anything stupid." Not that she had much say, because she was already moving toward the stairs. Fucking Rayna...always had to find the good in everyone, didn't she?

"Same for you, Luce." Rayna called after her before looking back to Aernir and rubbing his shoulder.

Heh, those guys were slow as shit. Olivia already cleared out the fourth floor and was working on her fifth. She even stole a couple weapons from the more..human looking robots so she wouldn't have to keep using her special ammunition. Only bad side about working alone is that you couldn't waste your ammunition, otherwise you'd be fucked.

Though there was something strange about the fifth floor. Lights? It wasn't dark anymore, but why? It wasn't bright, but rather a hue of red. It was still a little hard to see and...there were mountains upon mountains of artificial parts again. Another graveyard. She readied her rifle before she suddenly saw movement from behind a pile. Suddenly, a metal cord shot out from one of them, and Olivia ducked away just in time to dodge it. Though more sounds of cords unwinding filled the air and Olivia started moving acrossed the room, trying to find the source. She grabbed one of the cords and yanked, and out from the pile came more humanoid looking robots. They looked like...skeletons almost.

As if they could get her like this. Even if they hid in piles of junk...She used her stolen M12 for this..her armor piercing rounds weren't needed for these things. Though there were..a lot of them, and Olivia didn't have eyes in the back of her head. She destroyed one..two..but when she aimed for the next one, four more cords shot toward her from all directions and she had no choice but to duck.

And that was when one of those skeletal machines grabbed her...

A boot came down on the spine of the skeleton that had grabbed her, and another foot slammed onto it's metal neck. It was enough to jar him from his grip as Luce put one round into it's skull in a spray of sparks and metal. "You alright?" Luce muttered. What in the hell had she come across? A pile of robot corpses? There were more coming, wires unraveling, the rattle and clank of barely functioning parts.

Zombies. Robot zombies. Now she had fucking dealt with everything.

There was definitely more coming..some of them not even hole, just a torso and a head crawling towards them. Olivia immediately got up and then nodded at Luce. "Yeah..Thanks." She didn't expect them to come after her, and while she didn't like them she wasn't someone that would be ungrateful of being saved.

The cords that had been shot out were started to wind up. These things were meant to capture, not to kill. They were grapplers. It wouldn't have been a problem if there weren't so many of them..

At least there was light here..for whatever reason. Olivia got behind Luce's back and then started firing off round, being carefully conservative with her shots. She aimed to kill..or rather destroy.

Luce glanced at the mass of wire and rose her shotgun up, shouldering it tightly as she let loose a hail of semi-automatic fire, tearing chunks out of the bundle of cords in a shower of sparks before she moved down, blowing them off their feet as she backpedaled with a faint grimace. "See anything other than...undead robots?" she muttered, ejecting the empty magazine off her shotgun.

"Nope." Olivia responded, though even with the red lighting it was hard to tell. Anything that moved in Olivia's line of sight got a bullet put through it, and she trusted Luce to watch her back. Eventually all the movements stopped. This was getting annoying..she knew only more of these things would be waiting for them on the next floor. "I swear, when I find the bastard that's controlling these things..."

"Get in line," Luce mumbled, smacking a fresh magazine in. "Look, let's fall back and figure this shit out, alright? Doesn't do us any good to run around like a puffed up peacock with the biggest dick."

Olivia looked at Luce for a moment and then sighed. "Yeah, sure..." After Luce had saved her ass, she couldn't really argue at this point. Well she could, but that was just obnoxious and she knew that she would need all their help to finish this.

"Terrific," Luce muttered. "Now let's get the hell out of here and wait until the others are ready to go, alright?" she said, putting down another two of them as she backpedaled. What a crappy job, last time Aernir picks it...

Olivia followed as they backtracked. Aernir and Rayna looked up and saw them both. "Lots of gunfire up there...it's getting bad, huh?" Aernir asked as he moved his legs towards his body and then started to stand up. They couldn't rest much longer..whoever was controlling this place was watching them and eventually they'd run out of patience. Though Rayna needed a break too.

"Place is fucked up," Luce grumbled, resting her hands on the stock of her shotgun. "Whoever is doing this has an entire warehouse at his disposal, we're going to run out of ammo before we find that ass if we don't make this as quick as we can."

"If we run through the floors without killing all these things, we run the risk of being chased and running into more trouble.." He said as he stood up all the way. "We're just going to have to grit our teeth and bare it for now. I'll do my best so you two don't have to waste as much of you bullets. We might need them for the last floor."

Aernir took the lead this time, though he seemed to be a little shaky. His legs still needed a bit to be optimal, but he'd be okay.

The next few floors were hell...to say the least. The numbers nearly doubled every time..and they were getting more assorted. Armor bots, skeleton androids..drones...it was pretty intense. But Rayna kept most of the bullet fire off them while Aernir went after the ones he could take down with his daggers. Olivia made excellent back up with Luce..her marksmanship was something to behold...and from what Aernir knew she didn't have any enhancements at all.

By the time they cleared the eight floor, Aernir was completely out of breath...so was Rayna and Olivia. They were getting tired. Probably the enemies strategy to wear them out. "Let's take a small break.." Aernir suggested as he leaned against the wall of the staircase.

Luce was starting to feel the burn, even if her body was built for this kind of stress. She was breathing a little heavier, but that was about it. The only downside to all this is that she'd be hit with some ravenous hunger later, she burnt calories like crazy and she often had to supplement her diet with high calorie protein bars. In fact, she was already tearing into half of one as she watched their backs, chewing thoughtfully. They tasted like complete ass, but they'd keep the rumble in her stomach to a low roar until she could get something better.

Sometimes, she wished she could be normal...but then situations like this came up, and the fact that she needed her blood replaced for large injuries and extensive diets...well, it seemed like a decent trade off. Except when they weren't fighting, and Luce had absolutely no idea how to deal with situations like that.

"Fucking ridiculous," Luce grumbled. "How many goddamn robots have we shot on the way here?"

"A lot. Enough to make me low on ammunition...if I hadn't been picking up guns I would be shit out of luck. I did not plan on wasting my bullets on robots today." Olivia responded, her breath particularly ragged though it seemed like she was trying her best to ignore it.

Rayna noticed Olivia struggling, and then noticed blood dripping down her pale outer thigh. "Hey, you're injured...let me see..." She told her as she walked over. Olivia stepped back a little. She had gotten grazed on her side, but it was nothing life threatening. "Don't be afraid..." Rayna told her before she started mending her with her magic. Truth be told, Rayna wasn't used to using her magic for such long periods of time, but she was holding up. Even if she had to take short breaks she could recover enough energy to keep fighting.

"...That actually feels good. Thank you..." Olivia told Rayna. She was..getting used to these people and they seemed to be getting used to her. Well, they had to because of how crazy this mission was.

Luce stuffed the other half of the bar into her pocket, licking her lips of crumbs as she glanced back at them. "You holding up okay, Rayna?" She knew Aernir could keep it going, and she assumed Olivia would be fine. But Rayna was still adjusting to Fixer life, she was adapting well, however. She seemed a little less tired compared to how she was on their first job.

Once she finished healing Olivia she turned to Luce and nodded. "I am, Luce. We're almost to the top. I can make it." She said with a smile. No big spells...smaller spells would have to do. Only way she could make sure she didn't get burnt out.

"You guys ready then?" Aernir asked as moved towards the next set of stairs. At least it wasn't pitch black anymore like the lower levels.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Luce mumbled. She had one mag left for her shotgun, and three on her pistol. Her machete was the last resort. "Let me go first, Aernir...these freaky bastards shoot first, I'll cover your advance."

Aernir let Luce take the lead. He was a little wary that his legs would stop working again. Rayna followed after Aernir, and Olivia took the back. The ninth floor was fully lit, however..it looked completely different than the other eight floors they had climbed up. There were bed everywhere..full size. On each one, there was a shape of a body underneath thick white sheets.

"Fucking creepy..." Olivia said, though she got her Rifle at the ready. They could come alive at any time...they were probably androids. There was a bed in the middle though, it was much larger than the rest of them, and there thick drapes that obscured their vision from the outside. But something was inside of it, and it was rising from the bed.

"No shit," Luce said, shotgun shouldered as she stopped, raising it up when the body rose up with it. "Get ready," she whispered to the rest. They still needed to find that one android, so they needed to be careful. They were obviously not in the 'extremely hostile' part of the warehouse anymore, just the incredibly hostile part. The entire place was disturbing, like walking into a morgue. What next?

A thin, pale hand moved the drapes aside, and they would see a beautiful woman wearing nothing but white lingerie step out into the open. She looked at the group and tilted her head, but her eyes locked on Olivia.

"That's her..." Olivia told them as she lowered her gun. She then stepped forward a little bit and began to speak French. "Angelica, Monsieur Jean-Claude requests your presence immediately. Come back with us." She told her. Angelica tilted her head slightly, her long, pink hair falling into her face for a bit before she smiled and shook her head. As she opened her mouth she started to laugh quietly. Though the laugh got even louder and louder...until eventually she let out a literal, ear shattering scream.

"Damn it!" Aernir cried out as he heard interference from his commlink and attempted to plug his ears. They felt like they were going to bleed!
