Fixers (Beautiful_Disgrace and I)

Olivia..couldn't really say no to help. Because ultimately, Aernir was right. The person on the next floor would probably have a lot of protection.

Aernir set down the android, which luckily was still...in a standing up position. Like a doll. He then looked at Luce's side and pressed his good hand against her the rib, waiting for Rayna to get in place. "I'll make it quick." He said in a huff as he he started to count to three. Though the moment he said the number two, he pushed in hard until he heard the sound of it popping back into place.

The scream that came out of Luce's mouth was short and loud, more like a violent yelp of pain as her hand gripped Rayna's, her face taking on a sheet white color a moment as she slipped onto Rayna. Oh, god...that pain was worse than she thought as she started to breathe again, swallowing down bile. Fucking ass...he always did that, why did he always do that?

"Dick," Luce grumbled, shifting a moment. It hurt like hell, but she could breathe again.

Rayna flinched a bit at her grip. It actually hurt pretty bad but she could only imagine the pain Luce felt. Aernir smiled sheepishly as her fingers trailed down her flesh, subconsciously. It wasn't a lustful caress, just a gentle one. "Yeah, I'm a dick, but you should feel better after that..."

"Yeah," Luce muttered, smacking away his hand in annoyance as she slid down her shirt and zipped her vest back up. "Let me try to unbreak your arm, next." she grumbled, shifting around in satisfaction before patting Rayna's cheek and giving her a tiny smile. "Thanks, I'm good to go."

Rayna caressed the back of Luce's hand. "Good, but I'm going to go with you too. I can still help." She told her. Even without her magic, there were still a few helpful spirits around.

For some reason, after all that bullshit Aernir felt like he had more energy. "Fuck it, I'm going too. I'll make sure this barbie doesn't get hurt. She ain't gonna wake up from whatever you did to her, will she Olivia?"

Olivia was...dumbstruck. They wanted to continue just because? They were all beaten to hell and..fuck. Why was this annoying her so much? "No...she won't."

"Good, I'll prop her against the wall or something, then."

"Well, this should be easy, then," Luce mumbled. "Alright, Olivia...this is your part, so you're in charge." For better or worse, she supposed. "Let's get this over with so we can get the fuck out of this shithole of a place." she said, rubbing Rayna's cheek for good luck before she slipped her hand away.

When the three looked to her, she blinked for a moment before nodding. She really couldn't believe they would still be willing to go up ahead...but she wouldn't fight back. She needed to succeed on this mission.

She led them up the last staircase, but the door was locked. She grimaced, knowing that it was another electronic lock. Aernir walked towards it though, moving her slightly to the side. "Allow me." He said. It wasn't like the door outside, this one was weak. So he kicked it off it's hinges, and bright fluorescent light filled the hall. Enough to make Olivia squint since they had been working in such dull light before.

..This floor had been converted into a living area. There was a bed, a couch...a tv...it was a goddamn apartment. At the very end was monitors..Ten of them...nine small ones surrounding a large one. And in the chair, she could see a head poking out.

"Congratulations for getting here..though I have to wonder why you would even try when you're so tired and injured." A stuffy, cultivated male voice said as the chair turned around slowly to reveal a very beautiful, perfect man with long black hair and violet eyes. He was dressed in a fine, black suit. He stared at them and awaited a reply. Olivia couldn't believe it..this was the guy who was fucking with them?

"Because murder is more fun when you have reasons to do it," Luce said, raising up her shotgun. "So shut the fuck up and die, like the pig you are." Well...no one ever said Luce had anything resembling 'tact'.

Olivia also raised her rifle, and Rayna and Aernir just watched. Something wasn't right..this was way too easy. Though Olivia went ahead and took the risk, pulling the trigger. The man though quickly darted out of the chair, a smirk on his face. "Pig? You come in here and barge into my place and call me a pig?" He demanded as he walked over to the far side of the room...like he wanted to draw their attention elsewhere.

"Yes, I do," Luce said dryly, eyes flicking across the room curiously. The hell was this place for, anyway? "A pig in his sty is still a pig, doesn't matter where you smell it."

"Is that a fact?" He asked as he slowly moved his hand behind his back with a smirk. Olivia sucked her teeth and charged in first, trying to clsoe some distance so her rifle wouldn't miss this time. Aernir covered her, leaving Rayna and Luce together. He took out one of his daggers as Olivia shot again, causing him to move at super human speed. He had..some sort of enhancements for sure. But Aernir was faster.

He swung his dagger and it tore into the man's shirt and flesh, though he in turn shoved his palm out and Aernir could feel something stick into his skin, though his dermal plating stopped it from going any further. The moment he went to look down, an electric shock pulsated through his body and he felt his legs and eyes give out on him again. Fuck!

"God dammit, Aernir!" Luce cursed, letting lose with her shotgun to a trio of shots. Fucker moved quick, and he just had all the answers, didn't he? She had to cover him, so she moved closer, her shotgun barking as she advanced.

"I remembered you from earlier," The raven haired man said as he moved away from both Luce and Olivia as they tried to cover Aernir. "And that little weakness...all machines bend to my will...even the ones attached to your body.." The shots were grazing him, one even went through him, though he didn't seem to phased at all. As if he felt no pain. Though he looked like he was bleeding...there was something wrong here.

He moved over to a shelf, quickly grabbing a black, cylinder looking object. Rayna shot a bolt of Lightning at him however, taking advantage of his brief distraction. His body started twitching and he couldn't move. "Ghh...mages..." He growled.

"Well, this is fucking as creepy as everything else," Luce muttered. She had about six rounds left, and whatever he had was probably nothing good...so she moved forward instead, machete drawn to take advantage of the pause, swinging her machete right for his neck.

He was barely flip open the black cylinder before Luce's blade slashed right at his neck. There was now shrill of pain...just lots and lots of...strange looking blood. Blood that didn't belong to a real human being...it was synthetic. His hand went to his throat as if trying to stop it all, but there was no expression of pain. Only determination. He pressed the switch, and a hissing noise could be heard from the ceiling. A heavy mist started filling up the room, obscuring their sights.

Just what the hell was he up to? This was some kind of distraction...but from what..?

"Asshole!" Luce snarled, hacking off his arm and swinging again at his neck for good measure. "Out! Rayna! Olivia! Out, out!" she ordered quickly. "I'll get Aernir! Go!" That wasn't good, whatever it was.

She would hack away at...well another android. And the sound of an elevator dinging could be heard as the doors opened and someone made there way inside of it. Olivia cursed loudly as she ran over to the staircase...and saw Angelica was gone. That was what the diversion was for...whoever was ACTUALLY behind this was trying to escape with her!

Olivia ran down the stairs without saying much...it was still a good idea to leave considering they didn't know what was going to happen. Aernir had managed to pull off whatever had disabled him but he was still having trouble...again. Rayna..well Rayna was trying to follow Olivia because she was worried. She shouldn't have been able to move like that on her leg.

To top it all off, these goddamn gates were still here. She would never be able to catch the person in time if she had to run down the stairs and through the building. Fuck...

"This is still your fault, you remember that, right?" Luce muttered, shifting to help Aernir up. "Because I'm going to remind you until we get out of this fucking mess." Lucky for him, her body was a little more efficient for muscle mass. Who knew a scrawny ass guy could be so damned heavy?

"Yeah, I know..." Aernir told her, squinting his eyes as his legs started to function again. He realized their target was gone..and he'd be super annoyed if they got away. "Luce, help me to the elevator." He told her as he did his best to stand on his own. He wasn't going to let whoever took Angelica get away.

"Yeah yeah..." Luce muttered. "I'm going as fast as I can, god willing he didn't booby trap the elevator or something," she said, making her way towards the doors. If it ain't one thing, it's another...

"Heh...well that won't matter much because we're not going to wait for the car to come back up to us." He told her, finally forcing one of his legs in action. Well at least he could do that.

He kicked one of the doors, slightly denting it enough for him to take hold of the other and push it to the side. "I'm going down, want to come with me?" He asked with a grin.

"That shit is going to burn your hands like hell, buddy," Luce said, peering down. "But why not, I've done crazier...just don't fall." she said, gripping one of the elevator cables a moment before making sure her gloves were on tight. Ugh, screw it...she could handle it, if anything happened to Rayna, there'd be hell to pay.

"I'm not stupid," Aernir said as he tore off his shirt and wrapped it around his entire good hand using his mouth. Any excuse to be shirtless. "Just call out to me if you need me to catch you." With a grin, he jumped down, not even grabbing a cable. Not yet. It was truly an exciting feeling of falling, but he couldn't break anything if he landed with his legs. They were incredibly durable.

It didn't take long for him to catch up to the still moving elevator. Her grabbed the cable and squeezed hard to slow himself just a bit. He wished he had both of his arms to help, but the one would have to do. Fuck his broken arm was killing him but he'd be damned if they got away. His hit feet top of he car with a thud, causing it to rock squeal as it grazed against the edges of the tunnel. He was surprised the thing was still moving..but it looked like they were almost at the first floor.

"And you call me crazy," Luce said, landing a short second after him as she slid down after. It was a rush she was familiar with, the addictive urge of wondering if you could live or not. Her landing wasn't as graceful, she took a knee out of safety before she rose up, drawing her machete. Fucking guy was going t get skinned for all of this trouble.

She slammed the blade into the emergency hatch and pushed, wiggling it around as she drew her pistol. "Time to gut a pig." she growled in annoyance.

When Luce opened up the hatch, the car was already empty. Though the moment Aernir jumped down, he could see...a very short figure having a really hard time carrying the android out towards the exit. He didn't think much about it...the place was still pretty dark and only the light from the elevator illuminated it.

He quickly moved and shoved the culprit to the floor..far easier than he expected. As he grabbed the android, he heard the sound of..kid crying out in pain. Well, maybe not a kid, but he was definitely young.

"Please, please don't kill me!" The young man begged him, and Aernir could only squint more to see who he was talking to exactly. It was..a teenager...no older than seventeen. He was scrawny, looked like he hadn't gotten any sun in years. Looked sickly too. So this little shit was the one who had caused them so many problems?!
