He smiled looking into her eyes his hand reaching out to touch her arm in return. "Malady, how fantastic to see you again. And this time i did not have to strike you to get your attention. I think my presence is growing on you. " He smiled trying to be very careful not to hint that they had seen each other since they last parted. "Have you already eaten lunch? It would be a pleasure for me to take you to have something to eat. You as well nurse, it would be an honor to have both of you for lunch. "

His eyes sparkled as they stared at her he wanted to make everything of each moment he had with her knowing he was not going to see her again for a short while. "I have business to attend to and today will be my last day in town for near a month. I would love to spend it with the kindest person i have found in this town. "

She smiled widely while looking up into his eyes, softly laughing at his words when he spoke. "Yes, I believe perhaps you are." she said with another laugh. "Did you enjoy your evening after we parted?" she asked. Her bangs fell down around her face, framing it with gentle curls which just made her look so much more beautiful. "No, I haven't eaten lunch and I'd love to join you for lunch. Wouldn't we Nurse?" she asked and nurse nodded slightly. "Yes, we would love to accept such a very kind offer." the nurse replied.

Faye looked up at him again with a small smile, her eyes glimmering brightly. When she heard that he would be leaving town, she frowned slightly. "I hope I do not sound forward, but perhaps we can keep contact?" she asked. "I would like to keep correspondence with you."

He smiled as her bangs fell around her face his hand slipping from her arm as he began to slowly lead her threw the streets. "My night was rather boring, spent the whole night bogged down in business. Though it did have its high points. " He smiled at her as she accepted his invite to lunch. He was quite pleased that the nurse was not trying to squash his advances again. "I fear that i will be a challenge to reach as i will be doing a good deal of traveling. Though if you send your letters to Perth i shall find them eventually. That will be the half way point of my journey before i begin my return. "

He smiled brightly having no intention of making any stops on his week long trip to Perth. He knew that however he would be in town for some time as his next target certainly expected his arrival.

It was not long before they reached a small restaurant it was less then half full and they where seated quickly. Adrien smiled pulling out a chair for each of them and helping them sit one at a time. Once they where seated he smiled up at her once again. "I simply hope that when i return you will not have fallen in love with someone. I would be devastated if I returned only to find that i was not able to see you. "

She turned and walked along next to him as he lead her through the streets towards their destination, wondering briefly where he was taking them for lunch. "Good. I hope you were careful. From what my father was telling me this morn, there's a mad man loose on the streets." she said with a small smile. For a moment she heard Nurse tsking behind them and she knew the woman was shaking her head and this made the young woman chuckle softly. "Perth. I shall remember that. I am happy to hear that we can keep some kind of contact. I find you to be a very intriguing man."

When they reached the small restaurant, she smiled gently as they entered the warm building and she looked around before following him over to a table. Smiling brightly up at him when he pulled out her chair, she softly thanked him and sat down, nurse soon following suit. Faye glanced up at him when he spoke again and she laughed softly before shaking her head slightly. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. Nearly every man in town, rich or poor, has come to my father to ask for my hand and I've yet to find someone that interests me or catch my fancy. I doubt I'll be engaged to anyone by the time you return."

Nurse shook her head again with a sigh. "If you don't marry soon child, you'll end up an old maid like your aunt." she said gently to which Faye merely rolled her eyes.

"Well then i am glad that i am a man who enjoys a bit of sport. It would appear i need to attempt challenge the entire town. " He smiled glancing at the nurse chuckling as she spoke reaching over patting her arm. "I find no chance that your lovely charge becomes an old maid. Unless she continues to follow your advice and shelters herself away from human interaction. It seems you hate the fact she is speaking to me. Is it just me or is it any man she comes across and may fancy?" He glanced at her smirking as the waitress came over and took their orders.

He smiled returning his attention to Faye his eyes finding hers again enjoying staring into her eyes. He smiled at her reaching out placing his hand gently on hers tenderly rubbing his thumb against her hand. "I suppose i need not worry about the men from this town but what if some strange man comes in from another town. If he asked for your hand would he be rebuked as well? "

Faye couldn't help the smile and the blush that caressed her cheeks. When he began speaking to her nurse, she arched an eyebrow and looked at the older woman who looked at him with a slightly disapproving look on her face. "I do not tell her to shelter herself from human interaction." she said firmly. "I wish to keep her safe and from getting sick again." She glared slightly at him as he continued speaking to her. "I don't hate that she's speaking to you. I just don't want her reputation tarnished nor for her to get hurt by someone she doesn't even know."

Reaching over, Faye placed a hand on her chaperones arm with a small reassuring smile. "You don't have to worry about that nurse. I'm sure he is an honorable man and wouldn't dream of hurting me." she said softly before pulling back again and looking over at Adrien when he turned his attention back to her and she grinned at him. "Mmm, they might. They might not." she said. "Unless I had a reason to refuse them." She turned her hand over and ran her fingers over his palm.

"I see well perhaps i have a bit more to do before i leave this city. " He smiled looking at her turning his hand over taking her hand lightly. His grip was brief though as their lunches arrived, his gaze not faltering until the waitress had left. His hand slowly slipping from hers and going to is utensils. "Enjoy your meal malady." He smiled and began to eat slowly glancing at her regularly.

He leaned back regularly just watching the young girl across the table. A bright smile on his face as he enjoyed the thoughts he was having right now. He was going to have to go visit her father today perhaps ask him for permission to court his daughter. "I can imagine that finding a reason to turn them away is something your rather good at. Seeing as your still unwed. "

"Oh? And what might that be? Or is it a secret?" she asked softly with a small teasing smile. When their food was brought, she didn't look away from him until after he removed his hand from hers. Nodding slightly, she took up her utensils and began eating slowly. As she ate, she quickly noticed that he kept glancing at her and she blushed a little with a very soft giggle. But other then that she didn't speak. She enjoyed her food and when she finished, she picked up her cup and swirled the drink inside while leaning back and meeting his gaze.

If he wanted to receive permission to court her, it wasn't her father that would give him permission. It would have to be her. Her father always gave her a choice whether or not she would court someone and so far, all who've come for her hand had been turned away. He just might have a chance. When he spoke, she giggled softly and nodded. "Yes, I suppose that I am good at finding reasons at why I don't wish to court a man." She sipped her drink and brushed her bangs back from her face.

"What reasons do you usually choose? If i find someone who wished to court you it would be helpful for him to know what to avoid. " He smiled glancing at her rather enjoying the evasive conversation they where having. It seemed as though she would certainly keep him interested at least a good deal more then most of the women he knew. All the women his mother had chosen for him where so drab and boring he liked a woman who could be clever.

He smiled plotting carefully ways he could toy with her while he was away. He debated hiding things in the city in places she would only be able to find if he hinted to her. He rather enjoyed that idea and decided to spend his night sneaking around hiding small trinkets for her. He stared into her eyes not wanting lunch to be over he was enjoying her company far to much. "I suppose your father seeks a certain type or cast of man for his beloved daughter."

A small smirk slowly spread over her lips as she gazed into his eyes and she leaned forward slowly while gazing into his eyes. "Ah, but where would the fun be in telling you all the ways I dismiss the men that come seeking my hand? After all, seeing the looks on the mens faces when I refuse them and send them away is one of the best parts." she said softly. She knew that taking such joy in the humiliation and disappointment of men was a cruel and very unladylike thing, but she really couldn't help it. It was too much fun.

She rested her elbows on the edge of the table and laced her fingers together before resting her chin on the backs of her hands. "My father? Who said that my father was the one that chose what man gets to marry me?" she asked him with a coy smile. "I have to admit, I am quite spoiled and my father allows me to have my way with many things." She arched an eyebrow while gazing up at him with a curious gaze, wondering how he would reply.

He smiled brightly leaning forward his eyes remaining locked on hers he could stare into them for hours. "Well it seems you are a very lucky woman i think most women would love to have your privileges. " He smiled letting out a slow sigh wondering what it was about her that was driving him mad. "I see then perhaps my plans where a bit in haste. "

He smiled looking at her standing slowly and moving to her side of the table. "Though i still think your father would be the one to speak to. I am certain that with out his permission no man would take your hand. " He smiled looking into her eyes as he helped her stand offering her his arm once she was standing a bright smile on his face.

Her eyes glittered brightly as she smiled at him and she laughed softly at his comment about other women loving to have her privileges. "I'm sure they would." she replied. But as he said that his plans were a bit in haste, she arched an eyebrow and tilted her head slightly. "What plans?" she asked gently, her curiosity beginning to get the best of her as she grinned up at him.

As he stood and moved to her side, she slowly stood up with his help after putting her hand into his. "Thank you. And yes, you would talk to my father who would then talk to me about it and depending on my answer, it will either be yes or no." she said gently while pulling the hood of her cloak up then slipping her arm into his. "So, now what shall we do?" she asked while her nurse stood up as well.

"Well i have no plans for the evening but i am open to suggestions on what we should do with our afternoon. " He smiled slipping his hand lacing her fingers with hers smiling brightly as he lead her from the building. Paying on their way out tipping handsomely as he lead her from the area. "I see so tell me just why have you not accepted anyone's proposal yet?" He watched her intently careful to lead her around the guards carefully. Not wanting it to be so obvious that he was doing so either to her or to them.

"Why don't you come to dinner. I'm sure my father would love to have you over." she said as they left the building. "And I'm sure our cook would like someone new to cook for." SHe smiled up at him with a soft giggle before looking forward again as they walked around the guards. Faye didn't notice that he was leading her around them or she just didn't say anything. The young woman slowly looked up at him when he asked why she hadn't accepted anyones proposal and she sighed. "None had the chance to offer a proposal yet. None got further then asking if they could court me. And the reason I've said no every time was because none of them were interesting or they just wished to marry me for my fathers money. I don't want a marriage based on material needs or based on a persons social status."

"I see, I understand. I have felt those feelings many times. " He no longer felt them though he had long sense given up on the idea of having a happy healthy family. It was hard to believe that he could have such a thing with his current life. He would not wish being the wife of an vengeful assassin on any woman he would seek to wed. "Dinner sounds wonderful, and what do you think we should do in the mean time?" He smiled giving her hand a soft squeeze.

He was not a big fan of having her escort following him around it made him feel very uncomfortable. He never really enjoyed traveling in groups of more then just himself. "I do suppose i should go to my hotel i need to drop something off before going to see your father. " He spoke his hand guiding her eyes to his waist where he moved his cloak revealing his sword to her eyes. He was not certain but he imagined her father would not enjoy her bringing home an armed man.

She merely smiled kindly up at him before a look of excitement filled her eyes when he spoke about her offer of joining her and her father for dinner. "Oh, I'm happy you'll come." she said with a giggle. "And I think that perhaps we should take a walk around the town. It is rather large and you are new to town aren't you?" She leaned against him a little, her head resting against his shoulder. "Dinner is usually served a little bit after the sun starts to disappear." she told him with a happy grin. Though at the mention of dropping something off, she glanced down before a look of realization crept into her face. "Oh. I'm sure we can stop there or you can go while nurse and I head home to get ready for dinner and let cook know." she said.

"Should someone not go and tell your father that you have invited company for dinner?" He looked at her smiling before glancing back at the nurse. He hope that she would send her away he longed to spend some time alone with her. He hated having a shadow in the town it was very frustrating to him. His thumb rubbed the back of her hand gently as they walked starting to take the small path around town.

He wanted to arrive at her fathers home about a half hour before dinner and took a path that would allow that. It would also allow them to stop at his hotel shortly so he may drop off his blade. A bright smile never leaving his face as he walked with her not able to believe such a lovely young girl was enjoying the company of a murder.

"Hmm, you are right." she murmured. "That way there are enough places set and cook knows." She smiled back at him then looked over her shoulder at her nurse and smiling sweetly. "Nurse, please return to the house and let father and cook know that we will be having a guest." she said. Her nurse opened her mouth to speak, obviously to object but Faye paused and sent her a stern look. "I wasn't asking nurse. I'm telling you to. Now, go and tell father." Pursing her lips and looking disapprovingly at the two of them, the older woman turned and walked off, disappearing into the crowd of people. Faye sighed after her nurse was gone and she frowned. "I hate doing that to her." she murmured while turning back around.

Looping her arm into his, she began walking forward again at Adrien's side. "I never enjoy ordering her around. She was first my nanny then my nurse when I started getting sick." she said softly while walking with him. She gently ran her fingers over his arm as they moved along the trail. "I may be a lady and of high stature, but I've never liked giving others orders. I prefer to ask them to do something."

He smiled looking at her as she ordered the nurse away giving him exactly what he wanted. It gave him time to be alone with her, sighing happily as she hooked his arm and traced her fingers on his arms. His hand reached up and gently held her hand as they moved threw the town slowly. "I understand i never enjoyed ordering people around it was not something i liked doing either. "

He smiled as they reached his hotel biting his lip lightly wanting to invite her in but not sure of the propriety. "I would invite you up to have a seat while i put my blade away. I am not certain however if it would give you a poor reputation. I do not wish to sully your sparkling reputation malady. " He smiled and entered the door holding it open long enough for her to come in if she chose.

Faye smiled slightly and felt a very light blush fill her cheeks when he reached up and held her hand. She slowly nodded as she listened to him speak, her fingers lightly caressing his hand which held hers. As they walked, she could feel the stares of people in the town as they passed them by. The young woman knew that there would be rumors and plenty of gossiping going on later that day when many of the women got together for their knitting or embroidery groups. After all, Faye never walked around town with a man other then her father, much less with a man without her nurse with her.

When they arrived at the hotel, she looked at it before blushing a little. He was right, it could effect her reputation but it would only sully her reputation if they spent longer then a few minutes in the hotel room. Slowly she entered the hotel and sighed as the warmth from the hotels fireplace in the lobby and she lowered the hood of her cloak.

He smiled brightly when she entered the hotel with him turning and leading her up the stairs to his room on the second floor. He left the door open when he entered so that she could enter if she chose to do so. He pushed his cloak back over his shoulders revealing more of his fine black clothing. His hand worked quickly removing one of the 2 belts he was wearing. With one hand remaining on the sword the other pulling the belt threw from around him. It did not take long for him to be free of his sword.

Turning around he smiled to her taking the blade and laying it on the bed. He was glad to have so much alone time with her. Smiling her walked over to her placing his hand on her side looking into her eyes. "You know there will be many rumors about the things we have done in this room. " He smiled stepping closer to her leaning in slowly deciding to be a bit more bold. "I say we make at least on true. " He smirked pressing his lips tenderly against hers kissing her ever so tenderly.

She smiled back at him and slowly followed him up the steps to the second floor and she silently entered the room, looking around as he removed his belt. She brushed a lock of her bangs back from her face with a soft sigh. After looking around, she watched him work on removing his belt that held his sword before he turned to face her. She felt her cheeks redden a bit as she stared up at him and she cleared her throat. She was a little nervous to be standing there with him alone in his room. The propriety of her being there was scandalous.

Feeling him place his hand on her side, she blushed a little more with a soft gasp and she nodded. "Yes, I know there will be." she murmured. She could feel her heart pounding wildly in her chest as he leaned in towards her and her eyes widened a little. "What?" she squeaked before he pressed his lips to hers. For a moment, she stood there with wide eyes, completely unsure of what to do before she slowly relaxed into him and hesitantly returned the kiss.

For a few moments the kissed remained light and innocent. Soon though his tongue slipped from his mouth and found its way into hers. His hands holding her body lightly to his as his tongue danced against hers. A soft happy sigh slipped past his lips as the short kiss finally ended. Far to soon for him but most likely longer then she expected.

Slowly he stepped back his fingers slowly slipping from her as he backed out of his reach. He wanted to continue to kiss he but he knew he could not do that. Slowly he fixed his cloak hiding the dagger against his hip. "I suppose we should get going before it gets to late. "

Fayes eyes had slowly drifted shut when they kissed but when she felt his tongue enter her mouth her eyes snapped open and she squeaked, her basket falling from her hand and onto the floor before placing a hand against his arm as the kiss lasted a little while longer. When it finally ended, she took a step back and bowed her head while her face became flushed. She had never been kissed before and she wasn't entirely sure what to think about it.

She kept her gaze averted from him as he fixed his cloak and she nodded. "Yes. You're right." she said softly while kneeling and picking up her basket again. Luckily it hadn't spilt this time.

"I am sorry i should not have done that. " He spoke softly she seemed offended by his boldness. He took a long slow deep breath closing his eyes. He could still taste her in his mouth and on his lips and it was fantastic. How ever he feared she would not want a man to court her who was so bold. Slowly he moved from the room locking it behind her and leading her from the inn.

He wanted to take her hand as he walked shoulder to shoulder with her but he was nervous. Her reaction to his kiss was not what he had hopped and he feared he may have ruined his chances with her. His hand was never more then a few inches from hers as hey walked wanting to reach over and take it but not daring to.
