Learning How to Fly (ClearSight x Vawnie Bear)

Fang heard her name amidst the moans and delicate sounds of a woman in pleasure. For a moment the possessive dominant side of her brain felt irritated as if some where in the midst of her pleasure Lightning had the fortitude to reject it all and tell her to get off... Of all the four words Lightning could have uttered, these four drew Fangs mouth from her ministrations and those smoky green eyes met teal. Fang looked like something wild caught in the skin of a woman. A great tawny beast with an unruly black mane, that fell even now, luxuriantly over powerful shoulders; her lips and chin painted in Lightnings arousal. She licked those full lips as her nostrils flared and the thoughts of what she might do with those words crossed passion darkened eyes. They fell to Lightnings body, which lay utterly devoid of earthly covering, her magnificent form on display for the dark huntress. Dark eyes touched the marks on Lightnings body. Her neck... shoulder... collar bone... breast... and thigh. That silver lobo smile curled on perfect lips, she drew her long powerful frame forward by her arms, her body dragging over Lightnings.

Fang held herself poised above her flushed and writhing play mate with that dark delight still shining in her eyes. "Can ya?" She asked in a throaty growl, their bodies pressed from hips to breasts as she allowed her weight to come upon the soldier. Lightnings body felt so good that Fang paused in her dark contemplation to arch her own body against the soldiers, her hips finding a rhythm of their own against Lightnings. Her own denied passion painted Lightnings body as she rocked into the soldier. When Lightning affirmed that she could indeed handle what Fang could dish out, Fang pulled the stops out, and kissed Lightning like she wanted. She slid an arm behind Lightnings neck and claimed her prize once more. A hard hungry passionate kiss that showed the soldier just how good Fang had been for her. When they were done the taste of blood was in their mouth, but it too was tempered by the sexual high they were skating on. A high that Fang tested. As she drank deeply from Lightnings mouth in that near brutal kiss, she reached for the bedside table drawer.

With out it being seen by her partner Fang positioned her retrieved item between them, a hard slightly curved object that was shockingly cool as it was slid length wise down between their grinding sex. It slid between Lightnings neither lips and snagged her opening. It did not take long before the soldier would have a good idea of what it was... but what Fang might do with it in her current state of mind was no doubt was the hundred million gil question. "Remember you asked for this..." She told Lightning in that dangerous voice, before she pulled their heated bodies apart. It shouldn't have been surprising that the huntress was able to physically move Lightnings body. to draw her onto her knees, facing Lightning away from her body. With Lightning turned Fang steeled her resolve, her excitement could be a dangerous thing, and though Light agreed she could handle it... there had been women who couldn't and she was afraid of what she might do if she lost her control... but she could let go just enough that this good soldier got a night even her inebriation could not fully wash away come the morning light. A warm hand was placed on Lightnings back, it slid up the sensual line of the soldiers back and rested a moment between her shoulder blades.

Her body pressed close to Lightnings and together they leaned forward. Fang said a silent prayer before she slid the textured phallic into Lightnings drenched womanhood. She did it slowly truly not wishing to damage the soldier and ruin any hope of a future... but she pushed with a firm slow forward motion listening to her partner as the medium thick body warmed plaything was slipped into Lightnings tight body. When she was through, Lightning found her body bent onto hands and knees and Fangs hand holding that toy as deep as it would go. This time she did give her partner time to acclimate to the new girth that filled her. She waited for Lightnings body to remember how to breathe, and relax with this new intrusion. There were other things too but they might have gone unnoticed to the black carved sex toy now sheathed with in the solider, like the play of dark hair over Lightnings skin, the warm breath against her back, the fine tremble to a steadying hand on the flare of Lightnings right hip. Perhaps that was all lost to the gentle grinding motion Fang started in a slow circular motion when her partner did not outright resist. For what would happen next she needed room with in Lightnings tight body... and with some effort she would work this too from Lightning. The final touch of her plan drew a long pained groan as she slid her own body onto the other end of that sheathed dildo. She slid snugly up against Lightnings exposed body and the trembling became a palpable quake as Fangs long denied body convulsed around the toy.
"Goddess..." She whispered and if Lightning didn't know she was asking for the ability to hold herself back from her burning desire it was best she didn't... She sat there on her knees, her hands on Lightnings hips and willed the control back into her possession. She tested her resolve by grinding into Lightning, and when her mind remained her own she tightened her body around it and pulled.... it slid slowly from her soldier and with just a hint of struggle Fang managed not to ram it back into her body.

It had been a very long time since Fang had, had the courage to use such a coveted object, she did not trust herself with just any one... and perhaps Lightning was the one she could truly be herself with... she sent a final prayer to her patron Goddess that it was true before she commit herself at last to the dangerous game. It became and extension of the huntress, and while one might ask how it worked... the magic was that it did... and like any good magician Fang wasn't talking...

Fang was a visage and as Lightning looked up at her she felt similar to how she did when a beast in the wild had its eyes on her, as if she was being seen as a tantalizing piece of prey. She swallowed, those eyes looking over her with something stronger than any other desire she had ever experienced before, despite her beauty nobody ever looked at her like that, perhaps because they knew it would get them more of her usual attitude. Fang however had thrust that aside and had the Lightning beneath the her that found that look completely enticing and she let her eyes look back up at Fang, her unruly mane of hair and apparent desires causing Light to quiver in anticipation. There was no doubt in her mind that what she asked for was going to be more intense than she had originally believed, and there was nothing more exciting than that, than knowing that Fang wanted her so badly and now had Lightning's permission to do anything. Fang didn't seem like the type to waste that opportunity, a chance that Light hadn't offered up before. She had never wanted to offer it up before, been so enthralled in the passion.

Yet as excited as she was when Fang questioned her on it she had a small moment of doubt, though a throaty growl and the feeling of Fang's strong body atop of hers shut that down quickly. After a moment she took a deep breath and her voice came out with more of the confidence that it usually carried, a resounding "Yes." coming from her lips. She wasn't sure truthfully, Lightning was apprehensive on giving up power to anyone, much less giving them permission to do what they wanted. Yet she was going to go for it, just once, just for the night to make sure she took every advantage she could before locking herself back in her shell. What she received for taking a chance was a kiss, but not a normal kiss, one that almost hurt as Fang claimed her mouth in a way that had Lightning moaning into her mouth, a small hint of iron alerting her to the force the kiss had contained and she merely licked the source, a small cut on the inside of her mouth. Of course as she did that her tongue touched Fang's and Lightning was suddenly unable to control herself, arms wrapping around Fang as her tongue delved into Fang's mouth, moaning as she felt dominated by a mere kiss, unable to do anything to fight the pleasure it gave her.

Being caught up in passion had caused something to happen, it had caused Light to miss something, to be so absorbed in a mere kiss that she didn't notice Fang retrieving something. For Lightning that was unforgivable but it was too late by the time she knew something was happening, as she felt something press against her aching sex. Lightning's eyes opened a bit wider as Fang made it clear something intense was coming and she found a small whimper escaping her lips as she was moved onto her knees, Fang's strength once again stoking her desire for the woman. Besides, as nervous as she was for what came next it wasn't because she didn't think she could handle it, hell Lightning's entire life had been handling pain and hardship, raising Serah, being a soldier, becoming a L'cie, life had ever coddled her and if anyone could take anything it was Lightning, anything save emotional pain that was. Hell it was why she was who she was, though for the night she was confident, only nervous due to her inexperience in the matter at hand.

As the object was inserted inside her a long drawn out cry escaped her lips and a deep blush touched her cheeks. Lightning had never been penetrated with anything but fingers by another person, she had never been attracted to a male and never trusted any of the few women she had been with enough for them to have any control. So the entire situation was a huge leap of faith for Light, a leap assisted by alcohol and once it had begun Fang had begun to devour her. Lightning panted as the entire length was pushed inside of her, as her body tried to get use to the feeling of anything inside of her. She was on her hands a knees, her head face was pressed against the sheets and her body quivered beneath Fang. The feeling of hair brushing against the tingling skin of her back and hands on her body only intensified it ever more, little moans and whines coming from her as she took long deep breaths.

Nothing was as incredible as the feeling of Fang pressed right up against her however, a feeling of intimacy that was soon proven to be something quite the opposite of that. Lighting lay beneath her, arms and knees pressed into the bed ass her head lifted and attempted to look back at Fang, panting as her eyes looked at the huntress against her. "F-Fang..." Her voice caught and she tried to regain her composure before speaking again, her body shaking and it was struggling to get acquainted to the feeling. "I can take it..." She said again, repeating her previous decision but then going further with it, "I want it." Lightning was surprised by her own words but the combination of sensations, of the phallic toy inside her, the feeling of Fang up against her, the sheer desire, she did want it and her usually sealed lips had opened up to make that clear, and perhaps just part of her wanted Fang to hold nothing back so she truly did get everything she could out of the night she had already convinced herself would be a one time deal. So even as her body quivered and shook beneath Fang, unable to remain calm and collected, she looked back, her aqua eyes glistening with wetness that she had no control over, the bits of pain and intrusion having caused some involuntary watering, which really only caused her to look a bit innocent, which was an intoxicating look.

The look on Lightnings eyes was powerful, and the visual of her twisted back to Fang along with those honest words caused the dark huntress's body to convulse. She cried out and her fingers tightened, curling into the lush hips that she held. She pulled back as she guided Lightnings hips forward and then brought her back with a sure firm thump against her own loins, her hips thrusting up as their bodies met. The shaft with in Lightning slid out and then powerfully in again, grinding up into her as Fangs hips rolled forward. Fang made a low noise, one of pleasure that said she had not known for a very, very long time… if ever. Green eyes fluttered closed and she drew a breath between passion swollen lips before she did that again. It took a minute to find her rhythm with all that passion coursing through her, but when she did, it was with out hesitation. With out fear as she joined Lightning in that place where lovers went.

She was no longer a calculating observer, but had become an active participant in not just her partners pleasure, but her own as well… and her cries joined those of Lightning. A deeper voice that tested the craftsmanship and sound proofing of the room she was staying in. If what Lightning longed to see was Fang… unbridled and unfettered… she got to see her, and while her thrusts were firm and deep, they were not brutal, she did not try to tear Lightning apart from the inside, just finally gain some relief for the two of them… The games were gone, the teasing gone… the real work began… Fang was a generous lover even as she took her pleasure, she still gave it. Her hands were never still, and her mouth when not spilling cries of utter abandon… had nothing but praise for her partner.

"Mnng…. soo good…" And if Lightning questioned if that meant her… Fang certainly did not leave her wondering long. "you feel soooo… " Her voice faded and her hips jerked a cry tearing from her lips. "Good!" Fang cried her own body fast approaching its climax. "S-so tight…" She breathed… and as sweat poured form their bodies she may have said something about how hot Lightning was… literally as well as metaphorically. Fang pulled lightning up off of her hands and into her lap as their cries grew closer together. Incessant hungry hands sliding over Lightnings beautiful breasts, and down her stomach her hand sliding over Lightnings sex deft fingers finding her neglected clit, slipping down to where the toy thrust into her to gather their shared passion before drawing it back over Lightning's clit and stroking. Their bodies bumped and collided as Fang attempted to give the soldier what she longed for… a night to never forget… a night Fang her self would be forever changed by.
"Let go with me…" Fang said in that throaty commanding tone her body ready to explode…

Lightning had never been in such a situation before, never had someone behind her, with complete control and giving herself so much raw pleasure. Fang was the first. Hell Lightning usually didn't like people behind her in any situation, even if it was just someone standing behind her, which said a good deal about her trust in other people. So to have someone behind her, with control over her body and allowed to do anything sexual to her at all, it said a great deal. What said even more however was the orchestra of moans that spilled from her lush lips as Fang gripped her hips and began to pump the shaft into Lightning, her rhythm picking up and the sensation had Lightning unable to control her voice. More than anything though it had her mind trying to work through something even as she felt the shaft spread her open time and time again. That question was what exactly it was inside of her. She knew how it felt but Fang's movements, the slap of her hips and grip of her hands, even the sound of her moans in unison with Lightning's made it seem like something more, like something attached and it had Light perplexed.

Her mind didn't have enough control to keep on track however, each thrust, each cry from the woman above her, each touch of hands against her flesh, it all pulled her full attention back to the situation at hand. Lightning moaned out loudly as Fang gave her praise, her slightly embarrassment causing her body to tighten around the invader and thus increasing her own pleasure, as well as Fang's from the sound of it. The time of being able to hold her voice back had long since passed. Her body was reacting out of instinct and desire, gently pushing back against Fang's thrusts as her tight sex became use to the feeling of fullness and the slight pain of being penetrated. The pleasure overpowered the pain, and in fact the pain was a mere enhancer for each incredible sensation, Lightning finding the contrast between the two opposite sensations flooding her brain with incredible ecstasy. She gripped the sheets harder than ever as a whimper escaped her lips, throbbing and sharp spikes of ever building bliss. Beads of sweat formed on her smooth perfect skin, her gorgeous rose hair matted to her skin and giving her a wild look.

Lightning was truly beautiful and under Fang that beauty was more prevalent than ever, her panting and glistening eyes giving her a look more adorable than any she had shown before. Her voice was pouring out honest and immaculate. Her body glistened with sweat, smooth skin pushing back against Fang, ample curves writhing and for once Lightning seemed her age. Of course she was always gorgeous, she didn't look old, but her serious looks often made people forget she was barely over twenty and that while she gave off a strict mature attitude that she had been forced into that role, though she never regretted it, she loved Serah too much to think anything but positive thoughts about her life. As long as Serah was happy Lightning was happy. Under Fang's skilled guidance Lightning was unable to do anything but revert though, show what was underneath to some extent, react in her most raw and primal form.

As she was pulled back, body lifted from the bed and pulled back to Fang's chest she moaned deeply, hands moving back and doing their best to hold to some part of Fang, head tilting back and laying on the woman's shoulder. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed every feeling, the touch of Fang against her breasts, down her stomach, and eventually dipping down to her clit. She gasped between moans, a small whimper escaping as she took quick shallow breaths, body throbbing and quivering beneath Fang's touch and as each moment went by her lust grew, up to the point that she was already panting and on the verge of heavenly bliss by the time Fang's commanding tone instructed Lightning to let go. So it wasn't hard for her to nod her head, for "Goddess yes..." To escape her lips, for her to let every ounce of pleasure build in preparation for an orgasm she knew would make even her last one seem trivial. Lightning was at the epitome of pleasure and as Fang's body pressed up against her back she only lolled her head to the side, her cheek up against Fang's as her eyes opened, her hands reaching and touching Fang's hand, not attempting to stop it as she writhed and moaned but just feeling her soft skin, the movement that was giving her so much pleasure, and squeezing gently as both her touch and voice made it clear she wouldn't be able to stand it much longer.

But as she let herself go, to let the pleasure take over along with Fang, she started holding herself back, her body trying for immediate pleasure, but that hold Fang had over her, the desire she had for Fang, she was holding back just so she could match with the woman driving her to the brink. Her voice was begging Fang to push that last bit, to join her, to let her have that pleasure, whimpering as her eyes glistened with want.

Fang felt it as their release reached the point of no return, their bodies arching, writhing with untold pleasure, it built like a storm, their cries filling the room to bursting, any moment now it would break... She felt Lightning go first, and she cried out hurrying her heavy thrusting, their bodies colliding, she wanted to be there with her... to feel that perfect moment where skin and flesh melted away and only pleasure and companionship remained... Two souls broke their own earthly bonds to settle for a hearts beat against one another... She wanted to know this with this woman... "J-ust... unnha, mnnnu... wait for me..." She whispered in a breathy voice so very close..., but it seemed her soldier sought that same experience, because Lightning pulled herself back from Valhala when Fang didn't follow. That was all it took for her body to fall over the edge. The hand that was fondling beautiful full breasts tightened across Lightnings chest drawing the soldier tighter against Fang. "LIGHT!" Fang cried as the inevitable happened.

Her orgasm bowed her powerful body and with arms about hip and chest Lightning was bowed with her. She drew stiff, tired muscles tightening as that pleasure shot through her like her partners namesake. She trembled and rocked as it burst from her body hot and amazing. Her fingers trembled against Lightnings clit, as every one of the dark haired huntresses nerves fired. Her voice filled the room in a ragged long pleasured cry that included Lightnings name. Thoughts of her future and past became irrelevant, there was only ... now. The feel of her partners body as she too was filled up and poured out. The feminine cry, so beautiful... so elegant... so Lightning...

The body shaking orgasm had made thinking impossible for Lightning, she was completely in the moment as her body quaked and even after the shock waves of bliss ended the residual waves of ecstasy still caused her body to convulse and be sensitive to each of Fang's movements. So when Fang began to reach climax herself it had Lightning crying out, riding another wave that seemed to have lagged behind the rest, and it was enough to cause her to basically go limp in Fang's arms, entire body so relaxed and exhausted that she could do nothing but pant as her leaned her body back against Fang, listening to Fang's heavy breaths as she came down from her own high, and quite honestly finding the sound of her name on the strong voice. She almost purred as she leaned back, body calming down but the sensitivity and pleasure could still be felt as she took long deep breaths. "Oh goddess... I've never..." Light stopped, still panting and having to catch her breath in the middle of the sentence before turning her body just enough to catch sight of the pleasure riddled face behind her. "I've never felt this good..."

As if on queue Lightning stopped trying to hold herself up, luckily Fang's arms were around her and soon she felt herself moving but didn't pay much attention. As her body hit comfort the comfort of the bed she felt the exhaustion truly take over, her body relaxed enough already and her eyes were instantly droopy. "Fang..." She said the name, trying to say something to her, say that she shouldn't stay and try to force herself up, but when thoughts were too tiring the actual action was even more impossible. So she didn't, instead Lightning found her consciousness dwindling and soon enough darkness enveloped her, sending her to the land of dreams without a chance to distance herself.

Usually Lightning's dreams were less than pleasant, she would wake up feeling tired or just irritated and her daily life and stress were responsible. However as her eyes opened the next morning, truly only several hours, she didn't feel that way, for once she woke up with a small smile curling at her lips. As she started to stretch she stopped, arm pressing up against something, an arm and Light's eyes instantly shot open. She turned her head slowly to see who it was. Fang. Lightning swallowed hard as she recognized the woman with an arm draped over her, whose heat was warming her back, and she felt panic run through her. Light's mind was foggy, memories from the night before were difficult to see, but the little bits and pieces already flowing through her mind made her panic all the more, though she kept her calm as she would normally, at least externally, the usual Lightning back in action.

Before anything else she moved Fang's arm off her, watching the woman shift but stay asleep luckily enough. So Lightning slipped out of the bed and looked around the room, eyes darting around looking for her missing clothes before looking back at Fang. Lightning's first thought was 'beautiful' but she didn't give a damn in the moment, she was back in full form and her eyes soon darted from the woman back to her clothing scattered about, and she immediately moved to get them, though the second she started moving she winced. Her entire body was sore, more than that her sex was throbbing and aching after the night before. As memories of that hit her she let out a small noise of pain, it was going to be difficult to walk and react normally for awhile, though she was too intent on getting the hell out of there before Fang woke up to stop, grabbing her clothes and starting to slip everything back on, quickly and as quietly as possible, eyes shooting over to the sleeping form every now and then but as she searched for the last piece of her clothing, her panties, she stopped paying attention to the other woman.

Fang steadied them a moment an arm curled around the beautiful soldier, her palm resting against Lights abdomen, fingers gently caressing as they settled in for rest. "Goddess yes..." She murmured to her lover and pressed a kiss to her shoulder. "That was amazin... you are amazin." A long groan escaped Fang as she settled their bodies on the bed, "Fang..." Light murmured and her lips curled. "Yea." She replied but Lightning was far too exhausted... Fang smirked pretty proud of herself for wearing Lightning out, for making her feel something she had never experienced afore. She lay there for a time gazing down at the rose color haired soldier, her hand caressing cooling flawless skin until she too was fast asleep.

She was still asleep when Lightning woke up, and burned away her good feelings with panic. The huntress head was on the same pillow, her breath warm against Lightnings shoulder, her arm resting against Lights waist, fingers splayed across the planes of her abdomen in an unconscious protective gesture. When the soldier first tried to sneak away muscles flexed and Fang drew in a long deep breath, but she didn't yet wake. It took a minute but her muscles relaxed again, and Lightning was able to push past her arm. For her to wake up it took a bit longer, it took the cooling of her body where Lightning had lay, and the lack of her partners presence to sink in past her slumbering mind before green eyes rolled open. She lay there silent collecting her thoughts as the soldier scouted through the dark for the remains of her clothes. Fang grinned at the sensual nude back that was turned her way... a back that was quickly covered by a brown sleeveless undershirt. When it sunk in what was happening she moved, but the bed gave her motion away.
"Come'hea. She drawled in a sleepy rough voice while reaching a long arm out for her soldier. It was too early to worry about clothes... and more work... Fang just wanted Lightning to curl up with her a little more. To press kisses against her skin and caress perfection... If her mind had been rightly awake she would have guessed right that it would be a cold day before that happened. "Ya don't have ta run off." She said inviting the soldier to stay longer, not expecting her to jerk away.

Fang's voice caught Lightning off guard and she spun around, almost knocking over a couple things on her way to face the woman. She looked at her with a hardened expression, as one would expect of the usual Lightning, but her mind was working at full force. Fang was trying to get her closer, telling her to come here as a long arm reached out for Lightning, which made the soldier react, jerking away from the hand. "I'm not going to be joining you Fang... Last night... Last night was a one time thing... It won't be repeated..." She said it so bluntly, cold and even as she said it she took a step back, catching her panties in the corner of her eyes. She reached down and snagged it up, shoving it into her pouch and wincing at the quick action, knowing it was going to be one hell of a day with the repercussions of the previous night nipping at her heels. She looked back to Fang after a moment, looking over her almost instinctively, that gorgeous body attracting her eyes more than it ever had. In fact, while she had looked at Fang with some desire previously, that she looked at her and felt such an immense passion that it took all her control to hide it from her face.

When Lightning managed to yank her eyes away she took a deep breath, sighing audibly before shaking her head. "And this is not running off, it's simply a departing. Like I said, this was a one time thing, a drunken mistake..." Light paused, part of her regretted calling it a mistake, last night, from what she was still remembering, had been spectacular and she was sure, pain aside, that everything about it would make a well needed memory. Hell she already felt so much of her built up stress and frustration gone. Yet none of that could penetrate the wall that had sprung up once more now that Lightning was sober and in her right mind. At least she wouldn't let anything, and she turned her head to stop looking at Fang. "So just forget about it and move on, I'll be doing that..." Lightning spoke and turned, not waiting for Fang to try and stop her as she left, wanting to run but keeping her composure, breathing slowly and heavily as she left, heart thumping as scenes from the night before continued to assault her. Lightning needed some time to cool down, to get her head on straight and really to just partition thoughts of Fang from her mind. Luckily she rarely saw the woman and she immediately began thinking that if she just avoided the bar she could avoid her for some time, especially as she reached up and touched teeth marks beneath her clothes, fingers brushing over the marks and gritting her teeth.

Lightning felt lucky people avoided her in that moment, that those on the street did their best to avoid her and didn't pay attention. She was also glad that she managed to wake up so early, as she needed to go home and wash the smell of Fang from her, which she could smell even if others wouldn't notice. Not to mention get cleaned up in general before having to report for work. Another sigh escaped her lips, it was going to be a long damn day.

Fang was a goddess on the sheets, supple golden skin left utterly exposed before the soldiers furritive glances. Her powerful body filled with lush curves, and sweeping planes, graceful and exotic though all she did was lay there propped up on a hand, with one extended towards her pale soldier. Her dark mane lay sensually mussed, green eyes almost black in the darkness, hooded and sleepy, but light was coming to them, a keen intellect that knew a brush off when she saw it. Lush lips pursed as she listened to Light tell her it wasn't her running off...'Tha hell its not...' Fang thought as the soldier went on, her words like the sharp quick jabs of a practiced boxer. Fang's eyes narrowed as Lightning stepped back. She shifted and groaned, their evening of fun left her sensitive, and there was a reminding shot of pain she wasn't quite done with last night... With Lightnings back turned Fang reached for that dark carved toy and pulled it from her body letting out a shuddering breath as her body remembered in fresh detail what they had done the night before... "Goddess..." Fang groaned. She wrapped it and set it aside for a proper cleaning later, but Lightning was making her get away.
"Wait amin... dammit!" Fang said rolling over Lights side of the bed she went down on her knees as her legs struggled to keep up with her upper body. She caught herself on her hands, as her door slowly swung closed. If she was going to get a moment to change Lights decision she had to act quickly. Fang drew her legs up under her and took off with a BANG. The door slammed open and then shut as she following after the leaving soldier; out into the hall way. "Lightning!" She called as she came to the intersection of hallways. She paused scanning down the one way and saw a patron carrying breakfast. When they saw her their tray fell from suddenly numb fingers. Fang didn't have time to apologize for her disheveled look, she took off down the other hall calling Lights name. The woman spent no time dallying, when she made up her mind she went... She caught sight of that red cloak moving in agitated lines heading out the front door of her building.
"Light!" She called as pink hair caught street lights. The front desk clerk who had been cat napping jerked awake soon enough to see a tawny warrior in all her nude glory streak by.
"What the..." They said; and it only went down hill from there.

Fang made it down the steps and onto the side walk but the soldier she had been given chase too was naught to be seen. . .

What she did see was the front desk clerk with their camera phone held up filming her from the door way of the inn. "Aw hell..." Fang growled she stalked back inside with her head held rigidly level. She knew she was going to pay for this some how...

- - -

Fang sat in the L'cie processing center dressed in a control cloak. Her hands sat placidly in her lap, dark hair pooled on the table as her forehead was laying on its surface. As she waited for her sentencing for public exposure and indecency she fell asleep.

Jacobs stood on the other side of the room, a court security guard watching her. He had read her offender file like he did all of them, they said she was dangerous and so put her into a control collar and cloak like the worst of their offenders. But since they had brought her in, all she had done was sleep, bowed against the table like some petitioner at a temple supplicating for divine intervention... he might have believed that if she hadn't been snoring. Honestly she looked like hell, dark circles under tired eyes, she didn't look like a dangerous sex offender but a misunderstood L'cie who got a rotten hand dealt to her. The court clerk entered and took her place nodding to him, he stepped forward to wake her but she was already standing. The white hood falling low into her tired face. He felt shock go through him because he had neither heard nor saw her move.

"The 127th court of Eden is about to begin. The honorable Judge Talis presiding." The court herald cried. "All please stand for his honorship." Jacobs looked at the empty room, this woman had no advocate, no family... she stood alone in the courtroom, a tall resplendent figure in her white robes. She said nothing as the Judge took his seat and nodded for them all to sit. Jacobs remained standing as his station dictated but the other three individuals in the room sat.
"It's too damn early in the morning for all the pomp and circumstance so lets just get on with this. "Oerba Yun Fang you are charged with disorderly conduct and exposing yourself in the public, reckless endangerment and lewd behavior..." The judge looked up from the list of charges to the cloaked woman. "How do you plead."

"Seriously misunderstood." Fang said getting a snort from the peoples advocate. Judge Talis shifted his head peering down at her from his position over the rim of his glasses.
"That would be a not guilty?"

"Yes, Sir." Fang said with out any attitude.

"Sir, we have evidence of Ms. Yun's indiscretions."

Judge Talis shifted rheumy eyes to the Peoples Advocate not at all amused by his unnecessary postulating.
"There is no crowd for your antics this early in the morning Mr. Laudum... I would appreciate none of your usual courtroom antics."

"Yes Judge... sorry Judge." Talis pulled his glasses from his nose and rubbed his eyes. He set them down before looking again to Fang before continuing. "Would you care to share why you were running in public in your birthday suit Ms. Fang?" Fang looked down at her robed hands. If she spoke up she might endanger Lightning, and her place in the Corps was precarious already since her induction into the Pulse L'cie... She shook her head. "I can not in good conscious divulge the reason for my untoward display your Honor... I can only plead for mercy...It is not in my behavior to reveal myself in such a manner to the world..." Tallis sighed and looked to the Peoples Advocate.
"What is the evidence you have of this whole affair Mr. Laudum?"

"Sir, if you but look to the screen." He motioned to the Judges personal monitor." Jacobs watched the woman sit straighter, defying the submissive slightly bowed posture the control cloak enforced. He grimaced as the soft blue lights began glowing brighter as the mechanisms in the cloak worked against her trying to keep her under its programed control.
"Officer... aren't you going to control her?" Laudum asked. Jacobs shifted his eyes from his charge to the Peoples Advocate.
"A woman has a right to hold herself with pride." He said, then added. "If she has the strength, she is hurting no one but herself..." The judge ignored them both as he watched the display. It seems some one with in the inn she had been staying at had caught her naked streak out the front door, where she stood looking grimly in the direction where what ever it had been she was chasing had gotten off to. He keyed the display when the movie was over. He had seen her quickly retreat and try to rectify her mistake but it had been too late. The movie had gotten uploaded on the world server and gone some what viral in a matter of hours.

He sighed. "I see nudity sure, but i do not see public endangerment, or lewd behavior... I am dropping these charges, this is a misdemeanor at best... and the Peoples Advocate is pushing his morning luck... sentencing will be handed to a Captain Montgomery, he is fair, even to L'cie. He will place you into the care of one of his Corps units for public service... When your duty to the public has been paid your record will be expunged... I will not have you branded unjustly. Gods know your Fal'cie already did that. Mr. Jacobs, please deliver our guest to the Corps public service station to await Captain Montgomery's choice of units."
"Yes Judge Talis."
"All rise!" The Court herald cried. Fang stood up still fighting the cloak, she stood strong against until Talis stood, he looked at her fighting the cloak, the lights glowing brightly.
"If you do not play a hard ball with Captain Montgomery he will give you a light sentence... he finds it more tedious than we do in these cases."
"Than you Sir." Fang said, there was a faint quiver to her voice as her fight against the control robe was taxing. Talis nodded and left so she didn't have to fight any more. Fang held the rigid posture a hand of seconds later and let out a breath as her shoulders slumped and her head bowed. She felt exhausted all over again.
"Come this way." Jacobs said motioning for her to follow him.

- - -

Fang found herself once again sitting at a table, waiting... she slumped in her chair her head leaning back against the cloak which held it cushioned, she wasn't asleep, but on first glance you wouldn't know that. When the door opened she drew her head up.
"You Fang?" A dark skinned man asked. He had the insignia of a caption on his shoulder and a harried expression on his face.
"Yea." She said.
"Get your ass up and follow me, I havn't got all day..." Fang followed with quiet respect as she was led out the door to a barriks changing room.
"Get changed, you ain't any good to us dressed in sheeps clothing... I already know what kind of wolf you are... its time to get bloody..." He threw some gear at her and nodded for her to get changed. His final act was to release the power in her cloak.

Fang came out in hunter black, with a leather belt equipped with a few vials of potion and either. He looked her over and smirked. The woman looked good in black despite how he felt about her having to wear them. "Tomorrow you will report here at 0600 not 0601 and sure as hell not 0559, got that?"
"Yes Sir." Fang said.
"Good..." He growled. He handed her the folded and strapped form of her Bladed Lance. She looked at it drawing fingers over it.
"This was delivered to us." He said to her. "You will have to go to the retainer office to obtain any other persona effects that you had left in your room. They take great pride in having all the pieces so I doubt any of them are missing... if they are they replace them. The Inn said you are in no way to return." Fang looked up from her lance to him giving a serious nod.
"Good. Follow me." He said and turned crisply off. At the front door there were two chocobos in Corps colors.
"Make no mistake, we are an active military unit, we have status, and command, you will follow the chain of command or we will make your stay hell. Be a model citizen and we may part as amicable friends..." They rode their birds down the road nearly a mile to where the unit housing and team rooms were located. "Since you are such a high level L'cie, you will be stationed with our best... she is a hard ass, but fair... give her your respect or by the Gods she will bleed it out of you."
"Her?" Fang asked as they dismounted the birds. The motion jarred her and for a moment her knees went weak as her body remembered the last time it had felt that... she clung to the birds saddle as her breath caught.
"Etro preserve me..." She whispered, and reached a hand to the bird who showed concern for her with a questioning trill. "Thank you." She murmured to the creature as she scratched its cheek before she found the strength to let go and follow Captain Montgomery who was walking and talking still.

"You got a problem with a woman in command?" He asked. Fang smirked at this and shook her head.
"No Sir." She didn't mind at all, but it made her wonder how many top ranking female soldiers did the Corps employ?

Fangs heart fluttered in her chest and her ears burned as her lovers name fell from his lips. All this trouble because she had chased the woman this morning... and her "punishment' was to be legally bound to her? Fang rolled green eyes to the heavens and found a smile curling full lips.
"So..." She began getting Montgomerys brown eyes to turn on her. "How does this sentencing work?" And to his ears she sounding strangely optimistic.
"Easy, you listen, learn and obey, and ya get to serve your time and head home. Dont... and I will have Lightning work out all the knots... if you know what I mean." Fang swallowed a groan, 'Goddess please...' Fang thought.
"So... if I insult you or your men?" She asked. Bushy brows drew down over brown eyes.
"You will be finding yourself a long term guest of the Corps." He growled.
Fang grinned. "...Perfect." He didn't understand her statement the way she meant it, and so opened the company door where Lightning and those under her command were waiting their own personal Miscreant...

Lightning had no recollection of how she got home, she had been on auto-pilot all the way up to her door, her mind full of Fang and finally she was piecing it all together. Home was a comfort for Lightning, the one place she could hide from her worries and be as shut off as she was from the rest of the world, but also the place she could be herself. Fang has seen part of that, what lay beneath her exterior, what happened when she got caught up in passion, how she could be stoic and adorable at the same time. As she got inside and shut the door behind her it dawned on her that someone was already inside and she knew only one person who it could be, Serah. "Serah?" Her voice called out, Lightning moving slowly, almost wanting to avoid her until after a shower and perhaps even threw her clothes out of sight. Luck was not on her side, as soon as she stepped through the door and began heading towards her room Serah popped her head out with perhaps the largest grin she had ever seen on her sister's face. "Where have you been sis?"

Lightning looked at her grinning face and couldn't help but wonder why she was up so early that day of all days. That wouldn't matter however, it happened and Lightning kept herself as cool as always, shaking her head, though as desperate as she was to keep her escapades hidden she didn't lie to Serah, not about something so silly. "It was just an unusual night, I would prefer not to discuss it." She didn't make up an excuse, didn't say it was work or just reckless drinking, but she didn't, not to Serah, not to the only person she let in. So she said that and got a smile from Serah, who was just happy she had done something, and who quickly disappeared back towards the kitchen. "Well go get cleaned up, I'll make you a small breakfast so you can get by after this 'unusual night'." A giggle could be heard and Light could only grimace before heading into her room, tossing her clothes onto her bed and then moving through the room, grabbing a new set of clothing, and then heading towards the shower.

If there was one thing Serah always tried to do it was help Lightning out. She loved her sister and her older sis did everything for her, would do anything, and so she did small things to try and help her. Because as much as she loved Light, as talented and wonderful as her sister was in so many ways, she was also hopeless in many ways as well. In fact she was hopeless in the most ridiculous of ways, such as not cooking for herself properly, overworking herself, and not trying to make friends or find someone to be with. It led her to go to Lightning's room as food sizzled in a pan, cleaning up Light's room as it cooked. Of course she couldn't help but be a bit nosy, checking what Light had on her, poking through her things and clearing pockets to make sure none of it ended up in the laundry. That was when she found what was inside, a sexy pair of panties. However they weren't Light's, they were too big for her sister and it all clicked in her head, why Light was late and what she had been doing. So Serah took them with her, a grin playing at her features as she tossed the dirty clothing into a pile on the way back to the kitchen, she would finish that up for Light later. First was breakfast.

Lightning jumped out of the shower, and god did she need it, her entire body felt at ease now that she had a chance to bathe. She had really needed it, every muscle was sore and she ached with each movement. However the shower fixed that, at least temporarily, and she jumped out and threw the new clothing on, though it was the same military uniform, at least her officer version, a custom suit with her rank on the shoulder. Other than that Lightning's natural beauty took care of the rest, she didn't use makeup nor did she do much to her hair except towel dry it and put it like it normally was. Then she headed to the kitchen, the smell of food dragging the tired Lightning to the kitchen by the nose. "Smells delicious Serah, thank you." As she walked into the kitchen however she had a feeling she would have to pay for the meal as she saw Serah looking rather mischievous from the moment she walked in.

Serah had been waiting for her sister, meal on the table and hands hidden behind her back with the strange panties, not at all embarrassed to be holding them as long as it meant getting a chance to ask her sister whose they were, though she was sure it was someone spectacular, Lightning wasn't the type to be with anyone average. Lightning just looked at her for a moment before shaking the thought off and walking over to grab the plate, taking a bite of eggs before catching Serah holding something up in the corner of her eye and nearly spitting food out as she turned and snagged the item. "Whose are those?" Serah asked giddily, watching her sister's animated reaction priceless. "It's none of your concern Serah, taking them was a mistake, I don't plan on seeing that person again." She spoke with almost an upset tone but after snatching them away she took another single bite of food and walked off, shoving the panties into her gear and trying to think of what to do with them, hearing Serah saying "See you later sis!" In a happy tone most other people would find odd after being walked out on. But it was Serah, she understood Lightning and found it wonderful that something could cause her sister such distress, finding it in her mind that this was something to keep an eye on.

-----

Lightning's arrival to her job was solace at least, because there, while many thought she was disgusting for being a L'cie, at least they all had to keep their opinions to themselves. Her rank allowed her to have some degree of power, and a responsibility she quite enjoyed. For her the Guardian Corps was still a viable option even after her becoming a Pulse L'cie. However that was in no small part to some of the higher ups she served under, people who didn't care if she was a L'cie or not which allowed her to continue doing her job and not having to worry about being persecuted for what she had become, in fact only lower ranked people showed disdain or disgust within their unit and while sometimes that got to Light it didn't impact her farther than that. So it was easy for her to get into the rhythm most days, and while her body was still rather achy and heavy she did just that, arriving and getting things in motion as quickly as possible, even looking over her assignments for the day.

Now the corps usually handled more domestic problems, internal security for the people, which is why Light chose them, to make sure she didn't stray off from Serah. However with her new powers she had been getting assigned special missions, rougher more demanding tasks that weren't easy to complete and often times ended up being her alone against some creature that the rest of the corps could only help take down in a support capacity. She took the responsibility however, Lightning was not only a L'cie but a commanding officer and she did her best to do what she could to keep their unit in the highest regard, and she succeeded. Thankfully she didn't have a special mission waiting for her, at least not yet, so she could wind down a bit and just keep things running smoothly for the day, most likely do some training exercises if nothing came up.

Of course having an easy day just wasn't in the cards, not as Lightning turned at a greeting from Captain Montgomery. The moment she turned her heart sank, body tingling as every fiber of her being recognized and reacted to the woman beside the captain. Her face was as stoic as ever though, not showing a sign of the reaction within as she greeted the captain back and nodded. He had always liked Lightning's attitude, found her to be perhaps the most reliable of the soldiers and often gave her important tasks when they came up, and with her abilities she was perfect for the current predicament. "Lighting, this is Fang. Got herself caught running around in her birthday suit this morning and got in a pinch of trouble over it. So for the next little while she is under our care, and seeing as I'm almost positive she couldn't be handled by anyone else I've brought her to you. So, you'll be overseeing her for the foreseeable future, duties and punishments are up to your own discretion, understood?"

The Captain's tone left no room for negotiation, he was simply asking if she had a grasp on her new responsibility and of course being the good soldier she was Lightning agreed with a nod. The Captain gave a small smile looking over to Fang with a little, "Have fun..." A bit of pity in his voice as he thought about how tough Lightning was and how someone with the wrong attitude would probably not be having a good time under her care. However what he didn't know made a huge difference and Lightning had to stop herself from snarling as she spoke, barely managing to keep a normal face. "Fang... This changes nothing, now let's see where you place physically." Lightning meant with the standard version of the competency exam for new recruits but two things occurred, one that could be misconstrued, and second that she already had a pretty damn good idea Fang would rank in the top category, she had felt the muscles and strength, plus the woman was a L'cie, but protocol was essential to Light as a member of the Corps.

As they made it to the training area, a building across from the common building and barracks, she made some things clear. "Also, in order to make it clear where you stand you will call me Sergeant or Sergeant Farron, don't get familiar and don't think just because of how you got her I won't treat you like a soldier. Until you time is up you work for the Corp." The building contained all manner of equipment but for the moment they only needed one room with some weights, a treadmill, and a mat. "Okay, now seeing as you're a L'cie I'm sure you can do all the lifting, let's see your stamina, run for half an hour, if you need the pace decreased just tell me and I'll change it and take note. After that I'll judge your fighting capabilities. Now go."

Fang couldn't help the pretty pleased look on her face, even though right now she expected if Lightning were any less of a woman... and looks could kill... she would be dead. 'Changes nothin?' Fang made a small sound but cleared he throat so as not to yet incur wrath. Green eyes shifted to the Captain as he gave her a pitying look and she threw up a jovial wave. Oh man... she was going to have so much fun, they wouldn't ever be getting rid of her! But no need to upset things any more than they already were. So she followed along, and listened to Lightning. "You will call me Sergeant or Sergeant Farron..." Fang tilted her head to the side and though she was trying to be good... that easy grin she was often seen wearing once again made an appearance. "Yes, Sergeant." Fang said in agreement, but seeing Lightning all tough only made her skin tingle more. She had been nothing of the sort last night... soft, and sensual... mailable to her ever wish... She followed after Lightning to what appeared much like a workout room... she perused the objects with mild interest as Lightning continued. It wasn't until the words 'lets see your stamina' came up that green eyes shifted to light and a dark brow raised. "My stamina? No one on this floating rock knows my stamina bettern you do... Sergeant." She quipped flashing pearly whites. But she guessed her... display of prowess was the last thing Lightning wanted to think about. She shrugged and moved to the blasted treadmill. She didn't mind running, but honestly, there wasn't any fun in her opinion, with running in place. Fang watched as Lightning set the pace, she climbed onto the treadmill and as it began its timed cycle she began running. Fang ran with her Bladed Lance secure on her back, her strides smooth, her pace even, she ran with great endurance. She was not one of the lesser blessed L'cie, she was a fully capable battle drone for a creature who had not the desire to do its own battles. She was tougher, stronger, her stamina could not be matched by a mere human... Lightning was not human any more than she was. Green eyes shifted to the Sergeant twenty minutes into her run. Perhaps that was what Lightning craved... a person who could keep up... and all others thus far could only hope to fail. No one could keep up with Lightning, her needs as a woman changed when she was branded as a Pulse L'cie. Even in comparison to their Cocoon cousins... the Pulse L'cie were a wilder breed. Even if Lightning did not recognize this on a conscious level, her body would on a subconscious level... Fang timed her breathing as her feet continued pounding on the treadmill. Drawing air through parted lips she promised herself she could be the creature that Lightning needed... the very one she had been waiting for... all she had to do was prove it.

As the treadmill settled down into the cool off cycle Fang slowed her jog until it came to a stop. There was a light prickle of sweat at the nape of her neck, and a warm glow to her sun kissed skin. Her heart rate was elevated, but steady. When she stepped off the treadmill she was no less prepared to enter a battle than if they had done so when she first arrived. She stood quietly letting Lightning do what ever assessment was necessary with out her harassment on her behalf. Green eyes scanned the once empty room. Some of the men she had seen that had been about when she arrived were now in the room. They appeared busy but there was too much eye contact... as if they were waiting for something. Or expected something to happen. "What now?" Fang asked running under the thick press of her hair and wiping at her neck.

Fang was definitely skilled at getting under Lightning's skin but most of all was the fact that she knew a part of Light that few people got to see. It caused the soldier to be hyper aware of each and every action and word to escape Fang. She grit her teeth as Fang made a reference to the night before and part of her wanted to make it clear she didn't want that to be brought, but Lightning remained calm, eyes watching Fang as if questioning if that was all she had to say or if she was going to get it done or stand around. That start of hers, rather infamous with the others in the corps unit, stayed on Fang even as she finally did as she was asked and stepped up on the treadmill. Lightning watched her carefully, taking note that she didn't remove her weapon to give herself an easier time, that as she ran those incredible muscles of hers rippled, that sweat caused her gorgeous skin to glisten, and as she tried to push such thoughts out of her head she also noticed the lack of difficultly Fang was having.

The test always started much higher than normal people could move, even the most stamina heavy of normal humans couldn't handle the pace for the entire duration, nor could most L'cie. However it seemed Fang was not the normal L'cie and Lightning took note of that, figuring she had been chosen to watch her for that reason, and that last night hadn't been her imagination, the hazy memories having the woman being able to keep up and push Lightning to her limits, which nobody was able to do, or so she had come to believe. Regardless she didn't show that she was impressed, after all she could do the same herself. There was a real test coming up, now that she had taken all the information about her capabilities, max numbers being placed for each category, leaving only Light capable of matching up to her. Lightning ha noticed people file in already, she knew what they wanted to see, the combat proficiency exam, and while they could say it was because they were curious about Fang's skill or something of that sort, Light knew the truth. Each and every person who had came to see wanted one thing to happen, for Light to be knocked right off her pedestal.

"Now we see how you handle yourself in combat, get into the ring over there and let's get started." Lightning was dead serious as she walked to the ring, dropping the little results paper and hopping over into the center with ease. "Bring me a training sword and lance." She spoke to one of the onlookers and the man nodded and ran to retrieve the weapons. Light turned, watching Fang, waiting for the woman to make her way over. In her eyes Fang was like a predator, the kind of person that could get Lightning's senses on edge. She had to be on edge, especially as she thought back to the night before, that feeling when Fang had pinned her down, how she wouldn't have been able to escape that strength. The blows would surely be heavy and no doubt tiring her down would do no good. Light would have to be the better fighter and avoid those powerful blows. She was confident however and as a light practice sword was tossed her way she grabbed it mid-air and did the same for the lance, tossing it then at Fang before taking a defensive stance, showing no openings as she looked directly at Fang. "Let's see how you handle yourself Fang..." She waited, watching, curious even to see how Fang would start, if she would be a brute or have a plan. Fang had her attention, even if it wasn't for the reason she had seemed to want.

Fangs teeth caught her bottom lip and slowly pulled free as Lightning made her way to the ring. Fang raised a brow wondering if Lightning expected to do hand to hand combat. She knew that couldn't be the case, after last night Fang was proven the stronger of the two physically... Lightning simply would not give her such a generous handicap. 'Ah.' She thought as tools of their trade were called forth. Fang moved to the ring showing nothing as she climbed up into it, catching the lance when it was tossed to her. She stepped back and removed her own bladed lance so she might have the freedom of movement for what came next. Folding it down into its collapsed form she set it down in the corner out of harms way before she gave the practice lance a whirl. Feeling its heft, and flow before she settled too into a lancers basic position. They stood there sizing one another up as every person in the room drew their attention to the sparring ring. Fang slightly shifted her head and raised her chin up with a play of sensual lips.
"Havin trouble rememberin these things?" She asked Lightning playfully. "Or did you just want to hear me say it?" She asked pausing as her tongue caressed her lips. "I'm ready any time you are... sunshine." That smile that had been playing on her lips spread to its full sensual form. And Fang was suddenly in motion. The first meeting of their wooden blades sounded like a whip crack, it bounced around the training room in a mild echo until the walls absorbed it. It was indeed a powerful blow, but not with out purpose. Fang rained down blow after blow, each surmounting to conditioning of her opponent. She appeared to be the beast that Lightning was half expecting. Her technique centering on her larger form... but as soon as Lightning began showing signs of anticipating her moves, Fang feint pulling her blow and dropped her lance going for a sweep of her sparring partner. The tawny huntress was light and quick on her feet, and the men and women who had gathered to watch struggled to keep up with the two women.

Even as they spar Fang was enjoying herself. The work out helping relieve some of the kinks in her body, and get endorphins flowing, covering what was left that the motion had not quite purged from her system. The gathering grew as the new recruit managed the infamous eight minutes in the ring.

Lightning wouldn't have dared go against Fang without a weapon, her combat abilities were well above average but Fang's strength was incredible and she was impressed enough to be wary. So she chose weapons and even then it was going to be an interesting match up, a sword against a long pole-arm and that could go one of two ways. She could be zoned out, kept from making any sort of aggressive play, which Lightning was fairly confident wouldn't happen, or she could manage to get in close and make it incredibly difficult for Fang, though she had a feeling the woman wasn't inexperienced with her weapon of choice, as it wasn't exactly the usual choice for someone who didn't know how to use it. Either way she had to stay vigilant and that meant not making the first move, though Fang didn't seem to want to jump right in either, which was further proof she knew what she was doing. They sized one another up at the start, to most it seemed like boring hesitation but there was a purpose and the two of them knew it, though Fang seemed to grow tired of it quick enough and brought it to an end with a taunt.

Light growled, being called sunshine pissed her off and while her features remained calm her sword shifted, ready for it to begin. Then it came, Fang moved quickly, with a start that would have allowed her to instantly overtake most combatants. Light was no ordinary soldier however and she moved her blade to both deflect and hard block each blow that came her way, growing use to her combination and being able to make each subsequent blow take less out of her arms, though the heavy power of each strike definitely strained her arms, though her rather monstrous conditioning made it amount to nothing. Lightning was in shape few could dream of, Fang had seen her body the night before, she knew, but that didn't matter, knowing did nothing. Light just waited, blocked and watched for the slightest hint of an opening, which didn't seem to come. That was until she feigned and went for a sweep, which allowed Lightning to jump and come down with a heavy one-handed slash with her blade. Yet even that was blocked, speed and strength both, an impressive combination.

Hard battle went on for over eight minutes, well past what was usually required of new recruits, and onlookers had gone from wanting to see the slave driving sergeant fail to seeing one of them actually win. Then it came, something that disrupted the flow of combat, shifted the balance that created between Fang's strength and Lightning's agile technique. It came in the form of sexy panties falling from Light's gear, her eyes catching it quickly and she would be damned if anyone else was going to notice them. Mid combat Lightning moved her body down, abandoning any true defense and snatching up the panties, shoving them back into her gear but suffering the consequence of making sure the embarrassing object she was carrying with her didn't come to light in front of her subordinates, not to mention Fang. Before she had a chance to raise her blade the lance came in full force and the only thing Lightning could do was raise up her arm, blocking the blow with her arm. Yet it didn't hurt as much as it should have, and while Lightning had blocked with muscle as opposed to bone, she couldn't help but realize that Fang had held back.

While she should have been thankful, lucky Fang noticed and pulled the hit, she was instead furious. As if she needed fucking hesitation, if it were a real battle that never would have happened, Fang would have won, hell she should have ended the sparring match right there. Yet she didn't and Lightning was intent on making her learn a lesson, an elegant spinning motion bringing her up from a crouched position and her sword down at Fang, going to exchange a blow for the blow she had suffered, and yet it was blocked. Despite holding back Fang had not stopped paying attention, she didn't stop defending or think Lightning was done. Damn her. And then, before Lightning could do anything further, before she could launch an all out offensive with the built up rage, none of which showed on her face, a bell dinged, fifteen minutes had elapsed, going any longer would be taking it too far and she stopped. After a moment, Light catching her breath, though she wasn't really that winded at all, she turned her back, tossing the sword to the edge of the ring and jumped out, grabbing the paper and marking the highest box once more, an "Adequate" coming from her mouth before she headed towards the locker room area towards the back, she needed to treat her wound and as people rushed towards the ring to congratulate Fang on essentially 'Slaying the Monster' she had a chance to catch her breath, more than disappointed on the inside.

Fang had been shocked that anything had distracted Lightning, her guard slipped, her eyes deterred, and her entire person became a target. She would have crushed her with the blow be she human or be she L'cie. Fang pulled it as fast as she could only applying a fraction of her force against the Sergeants forearm. Green eyes saw the fury build with in those teal blue, when they rose up again speculating she had indeed pulled her attack. Fang didn't have time to worry about what Lightning would do, because she was to busy defending herself from the womans attacks. Still she had only glimpsed a brief view of what ever it had been that distracted Lightning... something dark and by the way the light played on it... silky and lace... the rest she would have to speculate later. The bell rang, and Lightning stopped, Fang stopped too and the room cheered. She didn't know why they were cheering though... As they came forward with congratulations she looked out over the crowd and followed Lightnings movements. "Hea'." She handed her pole arm to one of the men and grinned. "Yea it was great." She said and chuckled, but really she hadn't done anything that spectacular... at least not in her mind. It was a good in though, sometimes she knew groups had trouble accepting new recruits, or rather new invaders in their midst, perhaps this would give her a place among them... after all she planed on staying for quite some time. Climbing out of the ring she excused herself, long legs carrying her away from their well meaning praise. Her mind was on the pink haired soldier... and what internal damages she might have caused due to Lightnings lapse.

Fang pushed through the girls shower room and checked the post by the sinks... no soldier, a box on the wall was missing, and the stalls were empty too, so she had done some damages... and she was sure that Lightning was here some where. She found her pulled in to the showers on the long bench away from the door in the back trying to work on her own arm. Fang paused as she stood at the end watching Lightning knowing those angry eyes would turn up at her. She knew that any minute something would come from Light... anything to keep her at bay... but it was too late for Lightning; Fang was nothing if not determined.
"Before you argue, let it be known, I'm not leavin ya like this, and I do have every right to render aid to you." She said assuaging any doubts that Lightning could bully her way out of her help. She walked over to Lightning and stood before her kneeling down so Light would not have to hold her injured arm up. "Lemme see it." She said in a soft quiet voice.

Fang broke no arguments from the soldier. She could be angry, she could be stubborn... but Fang was not going to let her be stupid. She reached for Lightnings injured arm and cautiously drew it up, feeling the heat with in the angry muscles. She probably tore something from such a blow... or mayhap exploded it with in, no doubt it was quite painful, she did not poke or prod unnecessarily, did not try to see if she could make the soldier cry out. She did however assess its damages and judged how much would be necessary to fix the problem.
"It's not broken..." She said after a minute, "so it shouldn't be hard to fix." She said matter of fact. "Hold still." She told Lightning and she touched the part of herself that was not human... the part of her that the Fal'cie had given her. The part of her that others feared... this she summoned forth in the tinest amount in the form of a heal. The power would have been felt by Lightning before it ever touched her. A rising of it that would make her skin tingle or crawl, but when it touched her it would be warm and soothing and start at the center of her forearm and spread to hand and upper arm. It was nothing like the man made potions that healed with pain. It was like being wrapped in something warm and told by your mother it would be alright... As soon as she felt the healing begin it stopped, and just that little bit sewed muscle and ligaments back as a whole. Wiping away pooling blood and correcting burst veins. It didn't hurt even the slightest, it made Fangs hands so much warmer, and for a brief moment all the more appealing as they touched the injured soldier...
"Thea..." She said and began testing her handy work by massaging Lightning forearm. It was totally unnecessary to do in a healing sense, but Fang wanted to be sure she had applied enough while still holding back from touching the rest of Lightnings body with the blessed touch or a healer. No... she would have to "suffer" those marks if Fang hand anything to do with it... "all betta." She said in that soft drawl.

Lightning had retreated into the changing room and snagged the box of medical supplies from the wall, taking it and retreated into the most private place she could find in case someone did come inside. Of course she should have known Fang would come in after her, she wasn't the type who seemed to give a damn about winning a ridiculous duel. Then again Lightning didn't seem that way either and yet she was furious that she had lost. That wasn't exactly due to actually losing, it was more due to Fang pulling a hit, to her actually taking it easy, and of course there was the fact that her taking a blow had caused celebration with the soldiers under her command. They hated her in a way, some of them because she was a tough leader but others because of her being a L'cie, and it wasn't a great combination. Sure there was respect mixed in, Lightning was the type of leader who had respect in the field, the type who would never risk the life of one of her subordinates and would never leave someone behind. Her unit didn't deal with much of that however and thus there was more disdain than appreciation for the cold and demanding female sergeant.

Lightning was so pissed off that she was trying to fix her wound but the frustration was making getting at her own arm difficult. She seemed so calm sitting there, her eyes holding no sign of the anger and disappointment in herself that she was feeling. Then it came, the voice she was growing all too familiar to Lightning and she looked up from her seated position with a small flicker of anger before averting her gaze, continuing to try and bandage her own arm. She didn't stop until Fang's stubbornness made sure she had no other choice, though there was one thing that surprised Lightning, it was how gentle Fang was. Her touch didn't hurt, she wasn't prodding the wound or gloating, there was no hint of anything but a desire to help and it made Lightning feel a bit stupid. She was so intent on doing it herself like she always was but Fang wouldn't let her, she just had to sit there, looking over at the wall to avoid eye contact as Fang told her it wasn't broken.

then came something she hadn't been expecting in the least, a warm and rather wonderful feeling washing over her wound. A small gasp escaped her lips and for some reason her mind jumped back to the night before, the night she had spend with Fang. More than anything though she felt the pain recede and the wounded arm felt wonderful once more, making Light look over at her arm and then up at Fang, surprise in her eyes, though it soon changed to a glare once more. "I advise you don't use your powers unless you have to, these people..." She paused and sighed before continuing in a more neutral tone, "Just don't do it, there are other ways to handle things." As much as she wanted to she couldn't say thank you, Lightning simply stood up from her seated position and looked down at Fang, "You did fine on your evaluation. There are no major missions for today, it will be mostly training and if nothing comes up during the patrols the reserve shifts will take over since they don't like paying an entire unit on slow days. Of course since the Captain assigned you to me you will be following me until I'm done for the day, after that I don't care what you do as long as you're on time tomorrow."

Lightning moved away from Fang with the box in hand, moving over to where it had been on the wall and placing it back up. Fang was going to make her life so much more difficult, but there was nothing she could do about it, the Captain had assigned the woman to her and it wasn't like Fang would make her days much worse than they could already be, though more annoying was a given. "Come on Fang, I have to go patrol here in a bit, you'll be coming with me and if you don't keep up there will be consequences." She wondered just how Fang was going to impact her getting through her days. Working as one of the Corps left plenty of time at home and off, because for the most part they took care of problems within the city and there were quite a few people in the corps. Really on most days Lightning was home with enough time to sit around or do training on her own, though most of the time it was just spending time at Serah's side or spending time alone. As Lightning stood outside the changing room waiting for Fang she could see eyes on her, people looking and talking, no doubt about the match that had just occurred. She just scoffed and turned her eyes to the door, arms crossed as she awaited Fang, just wanting to get the damn day going and get it over with, already feeling the burden of having her one-night stand assigned to her at her place of work where she had enough troubles to begin with.

Lightning was not the only one transported to their fun last night... with that gasp Fangs body reacted, tightening with remembered desire. A pink tongue appeared over suddenly dry lips, but the moment was over quickly. Lightning didn't seem to be the type to dwell... especially with her frustration there in front of her. Fang stood up with a slight snort. "Yer welcome." She said as Light put the box back on the wall. "Thats what people say when some one does something nice for em." She said and watched Lightning move towards the door. Then she was told to come... for a moment she paused her mind going back to their spar, and the reason why Lightning was injured in the first place. "Sure, sure..." She said as if she were going to totally behave herself, but she was already contemplating a sleight of hand. It was perfect! Lightning turned her eyes to her men, and Fang slipped agile fingers under the flap of Lightnings pouch, and palmed the silky fabric. Pulling it free of her case so that she might see what it had been. She was holding it up between her body and Lights when the soldier turned back to her, and that sexy pleased grin was suddenly on full lips once again.
"Ya didn't strike me as the type to take trophies. But I'v been wrong before." She said. Both their conversation and the item she was holding was out of the senses of those around them as Fang was still with in the confines of the ladies changing room/shower. She started folding the panties and reached as if she would put them back into Lightnings leather pouch on her hip.

Fang was such a pain in the ass, nobody else would have dared speak to her that way, not that Lightning had such a power trip about her rank that she would say anything. Still, she wasn't great at dealing with people like Fang, they knocked her off her usual balance and Fang was especially good at this. So when she made sure to point out Lightning's lack of thanks for the help it made Lightning move all the faster away from her. She knew she should have said thank you but she had always had a difficult time thanking people for help or receive help at all. Lightning's entire life had been one of self-perseverance, she did everything for herself and even for Serah, she didn't ask for help. This independence had shaped who Lightning was in a way, that despite the woman she could be she always pushed others away. Unlike most people however Fang didn't seemed as irritated as she had a right to be, and that made Lightning a bit nervous, not in a conscious way but the idea of not being able to put that distance was hard for her and she couldn't help but want to do all the more to ensure Fang didn't find a way to squirm through her barrier.

Yet nothing seemed to go Light's way around Fang and as she stood, waiting for Fang to join her, she became slightly distracted. Just distracted enough not to notice Fang until she was reaching to put something back into her pouch, the agile soldier turning around and grabbing Fang's hand. She looked down and her eyes opened wide, looking up at Fang and registering what she had said moments before about trophies. Before saying anything she pushed Fang back, out of the room and into the changing area once more, away from the eyes of onlookers as she snatched the panties from Fang and hid them behind her back. "I-I did not take a trophy!" Her voice was slightly raised and she brought the panties back around, looking at them before shaking her head and shoving them back at Fang, "I took them by accident when I left your room this morning... I didn't even notice until my sister found them." Lightning grit her teeth, a small growl as she said more than she should have and just dropped them, expecting Fang to grab them as they had been pushed up right against her chest before Lightning released them.

"Just forget it okay, they are yours, take them back with you today. And don't worry about returning mine, I'd prefer not thinking about that night again..." There was the slightest hint of Light not being so adamant about not thinking of there night together again, those damn panties causing her to slip a little once more, once in the fight and now in her denial. Lightning couldn't help but wonder why things had to be so difficult for her, why Fang had to be placed with her at work after such an embarrassing night. It wasn't like she really liked Lightning. "Now let's just leave all that be, you're just a responsibility for me, so let's go." She spoke harshly before turning and beginning her way back to the door.

That cheeky smile played across the huntresses lips as light entered Lightning's eyes. A steely hand grabbed hers and suddenly they were back walking into the changing area again. Light snatched the panties which surprised Fang. Seeing her hide them behind her back like some teenage girl caught with boy underwear, and the elevated level of the soldiers voice was priceless. She was soooo under Lightnings skin. The panties came back to her then pressed against her chest, Fang caught them before they fell onto the ground.

"No need ta be embarrassed about it." Fang said as she folded her intimates and pushed them down into her pants pocket. "If ya wanna keep them I wouldn't be opposed." She flashed that million watt smile, probable pushing her luck, but seeing Lightning off her game was worth the danger… and while she teased, she certainly didn't just let her guard down.

Light stalking out of the room made her chuckle. She was still grinning when she came out of the room. There were a few faces lingering around when she came out of the girls locker room, maybe wondering if their commanding officer had perhaps thrashed her in there? But Fang came out no worse for wear. Lightning was all business again, her body as rigid as her frightened spirit…

They were all set up to do foot patrol when the Captain saw them marching out.
"Farron!" He looked to Fang and noticed she wasn't sporting any bruises or cuts yet. "Knew I made the right choice." He said with a grin, having no idea the hell he was putting his best through.

"There was a sighting of Flan with in our perimeters." He rattled off coordinates for Lightning. "Take your rook… earn us some gil." He said with a laugh. Fang raised a brow, his laugh seemed dubious at best. What she found out was that they fought the flan by hand. They didn't stand from a safe distance and blast the creatures back into the life stream… She stood there watching a group of men surround one of the monsters before looking to Lightning. "You're kidding me…" She said. "This is how you fight Flan?" She motioned to the men taking turns hitting the gelatinous monster to keep it confused enough that its tiny brain didn't know which person to hit and so hit none of them. "I can blast a whole Flan clutch in less time than it takes you to take one of them down like this…" She said to Lightning. "You don't even imbue their weapons? Goddess…" She grumbled. And as if she would show the men how its really done she reached for her L'cie powers. Lightning would have felt it like a wind against her skin as she summoned forth a spell.
"Let a pro show ya how its done boys." She said mischievously, and cast one of the flans weakness elements onto the nearest mans sword. The weapon glittered brightly a silver and gold color as the electricity she imbued it with rippled through the weapon. The Soldier who wielded it suddenly dropped it and almost got attacked by the Flan he was battling.
"Seriously…" She deadpanned rubbing a hand over her face.
"Didn't ja mothers teach ya ta fight wiser not harder?" She asked and reached down for that sword, so easily dodging the flans wild flailing. She stabbed it into the flan and dragged it up and through the creature and it split wide open. She twisted the blade as she might have gut a creature who had guts and dug at the center of the gelatinous mass, the blade unhindered by the same bouncy substance they were barely scratching. Fang rout the Flan with the blade and stood amidst its ruin with hardly a drip of flan juice touching her person.
"That is how its done fellas… but you go ahead…" She motioned at them doing their near futile work."Go on… don't mind me. I'm just a dirty Pulse L'cie… ya won't be so hesitant when I'm using my skills on savin yor lives."

Fang had a way of challenging every one, not just them but the way they accepted the world. She held the now empty weapon to its owner. They gave her long stares, some of them disturbed by her display. Fang had lived with prejudice since she was born. First from the soldiers who tried to destroy her world, and now the descendants of said generations. She was proud of who and what she was… she stood for something… what did they stand for?

Fang ignored them as she cast the same spell on her lance before she squared off with another Flan, it fared even worse than the one she had attacked with the sword. Her lance thrust clean through the monster. Fang bent herself to the task, but she did it in a way that was her own… of course she obeyed Lightnings commands on where to attack, but she did not hold back from expressing herself. There was no doubt in her mind what she was… and Fang would have it no other way. Light might be okay living this half life where her own abilities were dictated by the view of others, but Fang had no such qualms about showing who and what she was.

Pulse L'cie were already thought of as half men… what was a Pulse L'cie who refused themselves so as to better fit in? Were they L'cie at all? Fang did not use any over powered attacks, but she did use support spells and the Flan clutch was wiped out before lunch.

As the men struggled with the last of their kills Fang sat with an elbow propped on her knee, her chin resting in the cupped palm of her hand. One of the men… the kid they called rook had gotten too close to the flan and was now floating fetal position with in the gelatinous mass. He wouldn't drown, no that was too good for the unwary of the flan.
"Aren't you going to help?" Some one asked her. Dropping her hand she looked over to them.
"Oh, now you want my help?"
"Hes dying!"
"Pff." Fang replied. "Naw, he's just getting a good scour is all. When he comes out e'll look like the baby he is." She said flashing a grin. "Ladies back home do this all the time takes years off ya." She said playful. The man who told her he was dying paled. Fang rolled her eyes and got up to help. The huntress summoned that imbuing spell, but rather than pushing it into a weapon she reached into the Flan wrapped her hand around the kids fore arm and pushed it into his body. He sluggishly uncurled and as the power filled him the flan parted like water… The boy ended up on his knees on the ground covered in flan goo coughing up the flan liquid in his lungs. The power had jellified the flan, its basic structure loosing cohesion at the large electrical charge she had pushed into it and the kid. But like she said, he was no worse for wear, even more there was this stupid grin plastered on his face, as the Flan gave you a sense of euphoria as you succumb to their enzymes.
"He's fine." She said and stepped back out of the way.

Like hell she would keep them, Lightning found the idea preposterous and she didn't give it another seconds thought as she prepared to head out on patrol. Then came the only thing that could make her day more tiresome, Captain Montgomery's orders to go Flan hunting. Lightning showed no signs of it but she wanted to groan, it was such a menial task and the way they had to go about doing it was slow and arduous. Hell Lightning could take down Flan easily, even without her L'cie powers, but her new unit was green and had proved to have difficultly with such a task, which is one reason the Captain often sent them on these little money making excursions. When they got out there Fang expressed a view similar to Lightning's and she only looked over at the woman and tried her best to explain it. "Yes, this is the way we handle Flan, it may be slow and more trouble than it's worth but it gives the men some training and if they fail in working as a team then not only do they get an embarrassing surprise but I make sure they don't make the same mistake twice."

Lightning wasn't really excited about the exercise but she didn't complain and simply watched for the first bit of time, that was until Fang decided to use her powers and disrupted everything. The looks she received were known well to Lightning but unlike Lightning she didn't seem to give a damn. In fact she made it known that how they felt didn't matter to her and while she still received the looks people didn't say anything, in fact things soon went back to normal as the soldiers continued their work as Fang did her own thing. When Lightning joined in after a few moments she didn't use her powers however, she simply took Flan down with ease using her blade alone, trying to show the soldiers that proper knowledge and skill could dispatch the creatures easily enough without the use of lightning element or L'cie power, though Lightning's increased strength did help her in a minor capacity with the task. The task was finished quickly enough however, Lightning's involvement with the task and Fang's ill-advised use of L'cie powers made it zoom by and Lightning was sure the money made would be quite substantial seeing as they finished all of the enemies in such a quick time.

Yet near the end a problem came up, one of the groups had one of those lapses in judgement Lightning had spoke of and normally she would solve it herself, go in and retrieve the soldier, but she didn't get a chance. The soldiers didn't come to her, they didn't ask Lightning for help, they asked Fang. She could only watch as they went to the newest addition to the unit to help their comrade and as Fang reluctantly helped get the soldier out of the Flan, a ridiculous grin on his face and the last bit of Flan eliminated and collected for sale. Lightning was relatively pissed off in that moment and she walked over to the group who looked over to her, perhaps hoping if they had Fang's help Lightning wouldn't notice, but nothing escaped the Sergeant, it seemed they hadn't learned that yet and others looked on in pity. "So you've failed on one of the simplest of tasks we do... I expect the group of you, and your dumbfounded comrade here to put in a few extra hours in teamwork training, I don't want to see this happening again." She stopped and was about to turn around when she looked at the group and shook her head, "Just think of what would happen if we were fighting something dangerous and you failed to work together..."

With that she turned and started walking away, "Everyone who doesn't have extra training is done for the day, place all the collected items back in the common area, people will come pick it up as usual, after that you're done for the day." Generally they left when the Flan hunting was done but most of the time it took longer than it had with the addition of Fang and participation of Lightning. Light walked over to Fang and stopped when she was close enough that nobody else would hear. "You can go home now as well Fang, just try and not use your powers at every opportunity, it is going to make things more difficult and while this is an annoying task the purpose is to let the rookies train and learn how to work together to combat monsters." With that Lightning herself headed back as well, she had to ensure every item made its way to the common area and make sure nothing else had come up while they were gone. After that she would technically have the rest of the day off as well but she wasn't sure what she would do with it, perhaps train on her own, get some lunch as well, which she was sure the other soldiers would be doing as well, it was around that time after all. She just wondered if she would shake off Fang or if the woman would stick around. She had a feeling she wouldn't be getting away until she actually went home.

Fang chuckled at the stupid grinning fool, but stopped as Lightning marched over to them and began chastising them. She was quiet because she was not going to come between the Sergeant and her men. She was right, they needed to learn these things... but couldn't the Corp at least train a few L'cie so that they could work as backup for the teams? They could still learn team work, and the L'cie would have training as well, perhaps then they would be better integrated into the population of Cocoon, rather than second rate citizens... Fang picked up a rag and began wiping her lance down, she would have to take it apart later and make sure it didn't loose its seal allowing some of the gunk into the inner workings. She slid it onto her back and followed Lightning.
"You only have half days?" She asked as the men were carrying the collected goo into the common yard. Fang did her share, lifting one of the heavy crates and setting it down on the neatly stacked piles. "How do ya all manage like that?" She asked following Lightning. She didn't take Lightnings dismissal just as the Sergeant had expected she wouldn't.

Fang was persistent following Lightning through the compound. She was however behaving her self rather well. Not making any snarky comments about the night before, or the panties in her pocket. She didn't outright contest Lightnings decision to make those men train more... she simply didn't stop following her either. When Lightning set her plate of food down on the table, Fang came not long after with her own. She settled down on the seat across from her.
"What, no table just for you an all yor groupies?" She asked probably ruining the last ten to twenty minutes of good behavior. "What? Come on... people are cautious not dead. You must have some people here some where who... oh." She said when she caught some people watching them. "Thea they are." She said and flashed that smile. Fang saw the world in a truly different way than the soldier who did her work, paid her dues and just wanted a quiet life for her and her sister. To the soldier no doubt she seemed ostentatious, flamboyant, and totally annoying. But there was no underlying hidden agenda... no secrets she kept that could destroy you at a later date... Fang was what you saw... and at least that bit could be refreshing.

Fangs plate was full, filled with healthy choices, food that would replenish her energy level, after a night like they had, had and the morning where she used her abilities, renewing her internal levels was important, and she was not shy at all at the amount of food she had gotten for herself. If it hadn't been guessed yet, there was nary a shy bone in her Pulse born body.

The return to the common area wasn't exactly peaceful, it had Fang questioning her and following behind like some lost pup and Lightning could only bare with it. "The hours for the corps aren't exactly stable. Some days we work until we're ragged and others we have little to do. It depends on whether or not there are any outstanding missions that need completed, whether something has happened amongst the general populace, and of course it relies on the unit. Our unit is currently assigned patrols and special missions, after patrols the reserve unit takes over, though today we were transitioned to Flan." Lightning didn't feel like explaining it in detail, the truth of the matter was that Lightning was always on call, she and all the Corps were ready to react if the people needed them but ultimately until situations cropped up for them to take care of they usually just trained. Besides, that particular day it had been Flans and it usually took longer, Fang quickened the job and gave them that time off, and while Lightning could have drilled and worked the soldiers even more after the Flan exercise she had decided not to, to simply give them the day as it had been awhile since they had a really easy early day.

Light's day still wasn't easy however, she had Fang following her around, even as she made her way to a table with food she wasn't alone. Usually she was, rarely did people come and sit with her and that was only when people from her old unit saw her. Yet here was Fang, plopped down next to her with a meal that would make the biggest soldier think twice, though Lightning didn't doubt Fang could burn that. Hell Lightning ate pretty well herself but not quite that amount. "Groupies?" She finally responded to Fang, following her eyes and catching people staring at her, most of which turned their heads the moment she looked there way and the rest soon did with a glare from the cold soldier. She was aware people watched her, aware how attractive she was, but she usually didn't pay much attention to it, though it was rather unsettling when she became conscious of the stares. She turned back to Fang, shaking her head. "Yes, people seem to enjoy staring, it's rather annoying truthfully, but at least they don't bother me every chance they get."

The previous comment was sent at Fang but there wasn't as much malicious intent as there could have been, in fact she looked up after a moment and her beautiful aqua eyes set on Fang. She didn't speak for a moment, as if she were trying to figure out what to say and then finally she decided to just go for it, wording be damned. "So tell me Fang, why are you sticking to me so much? You're well aware I'm not in the least happy about it. We also both know you like your women easy and numerous, I would figure by now you'd be searching for someone new and a little less troublesome to drag back to your room and throw on the bed." She paused for a moment taking a bite of food before continuing, "I mean, I've made it clear it was a one night thing and I don't change my mind, so what is it Fang, are you just so bored you've decided to have your fun trying to piss me off?" Lightning was in all of her calm and cold glory, even word aimed to get that damn smirk off Fang's face, though she had a feeling that there wasn't going to be enough chill in the world to do that, Fang seemed much too enthused and determined. She just didn't know what the hell Fang wanted from her. Maybe a player like her just wanted a new game and Lightning posed an unusual challenge, whatever it was had Light curious and more than a little off-put.

"Ah well, that's too bad for them." She said easy enough, letting Lights jab about being bothered by her roll off with nary a scratch. Her brows however did raise at the comment about her women.
"Ha, ha. Is that some kind of Cocoon humor? Because if it isn't that would mean I saw you as just another loose woman... and you wouldn't bed such a woman sober or drunk..." She stabbed at her food before taking a bite, her eyes still meeting Lightnings as she ate her food. "And honestly it isn't so hard to piss you off... I have done it at least three times today, once merely by my presence." She pointed out, obviously a bit more observant than she appeared she might be. "But a woman has to have some moral ground, an slinging mud at the unknowns in my life is below even you... Sergeant." She put her fork down on her plate, stood up picking the plate up as she stepped around her chair. "I'll come back tomorrow, maybe then you will remember how to be civil." She said as she left Lightning alone with a bitter taste in her mouth.

She had gotten Fang to leave, but not before the huntress reproofed her for the way she had done it... and still she had not told Lightning why it was she had been hanging around.

Fang didn't know what to do honestly. The more Lightning tried to drive her away the more determined she felt to stay near by... but she didn't want the soldier to believe it was okay to verbally assult her and she would jsut let it stand. There was a cold calculating mind in that amazingly nubile body... and Goddess help her she wanted both. But it wasn't going to be one of those relationships where she allowed her partner to demean and degrade her when ever they were feeling bad. She set her barely touched plate on the counter loathing to waste food but having lost her appetite...
"Not hungry?" An aged man asked from across the counter.
"Honestly I'm starved... but my appetite was chased away." She said to him. He chuckled and nodded to her plate. "You still want that?" She looked down at the food then back up at him. "I do." He nodded as if pleased with her answer. "I will get you a plate you can take with you. Wait here." And so she did. He returned with a cloth bag and a non nondescript glass bowl with a lid. He handed both to her and let her put the food in the bowl.
"Where is the Retainers office from here?" Fang asked as she transferred the food.

"Ah, its a bit of a walk, but nothing a handsome she devil like you couldn't manage." He said a little flirty. Fang gave him a lopsided grin. He proceeded to give her directions to the retainers office so she might retrieve her stuff. He held a hand out to her. "Names Anders." Fang took his hand grateful for the trust such an action entailed. "Just bring back the bowl and bag tomorrow and I will see if I cant get you some more to take with you yeah?" She set the bowl into the bag.
"A pleasure ta meet ya Anders, Names Fang." He nodded and gave her a firm shake. "Pleasures mine." He said. Fang slung the bag over her shoulder and marched off with her now packaged meal in her possession in search of the rest of her gear. She had some business to do, still had to find Vanille... and now... find a place to sleep. Which proved a bit harder for her since her face was all over due to that kids recording her streaking. Fang sighed as she stood in front of a window where the news was playing a clip of her streaking out into public with little blur spots over her privates.

Lightning wasn't as horrid a person as she often came across, she was simply defensive and kept her true emotions close to her chest, striking out at anyone who attempted to get in close or had a decent understanding of her she didn't quite like. Fang made her way under Lightning's skin so easily, saw what the soldier tried so desperately to keep hidden, that it caused her to strike out more harshly than she liked. In fact after what she said she felt rather stupid, unfounded slander directed right at the woman. Fang didn't just take it however, she didn't give any coy or playful remarks and instead made it clear that Lightning had crossed a line. She couldn't say much to what Fang said either, she knew if Fang had come off that way, if she had been searching for women at random and just decided to try her hand at Lightning that it would have ended then and there, drunk or not. Because as vulnerable as Lightning had been, as much as she had wanted companionship, she wouldn't have just gone with any woman who approached her, Fang was extraordinary even if she didn't want to admit it.

Lightning was ashamed of herself and her usual calm and cool had been seen through completely. Was it so superficial? She hadn't believed so, Lightning had always been able to keep herself calm and ignore situations that angered her, and yet with Fang, after last night, she seemed unable to do that, and she had a feeling it was more about herself than the woman walking away. For a moment Lightning just sat there, staring at her food and playing at it with her fork, pushing it around the plate and taking a small bite before realizing she didn't want it anymore and she put her fork down and sighed deeply. After a moment she stood up and walked over to get rid of the plate she no longer felt like eating, Anders there to greet her like normally, one of the few people who didn't seem to be all that phased by her demeanor. "Sergeant, not looking at cool as you usually do. Something wrong with the food?" She looked at the man and shook her head, "Nothing is ever wrong with the food, just lost my appetite all of a sudden." A grin appeared on the man's face and he leaned forward, "Well now, two incredibly beautiful women saying the same thing to me in such a short duration... I'm thinking it might just be a shared experience. Wouldn't happen to know a handsome devil by the name of Fang would you?"

Lightning paused and looked at Anders and after a moment she just turned and walked away, a small "I do" which brought a laugh from the man's lips, liking the image of a slightly more human Lightning, a rare sight indeed. "Good luck Fang, you'll need it lass." He muttered to himself, wishing the girl luck with the infamous Ice Queen of the Guardian Corps. Lightning had long since left the area and began walking, not sure whether she was going to go home or find somewhere to train a bit more, though she could always train at home it just left the possibility for Serah to come in and that ended any training possibilities. Then again spending some time with Serah would be nice, though she was sure her sister would have some questions about what she had found that morning. She walked, thinking about what to do, for awhile before she finally looked up to a screen to see none other than Fang running down the street in absolutely nothing. That was when it struck her, why Fang was assigned to the corps and how it hadn't been a ploy of hers at all.

In fact it dawned on Lightning that if she had explained herself properly she would have gotten off with less, but her being there meant she had in fact not said a word, not said anything about Lightning. She swallowed, angry in part for finding herself protected by Fang like some damsel once again but she chastised herself quickly, realizing that just like the fight and the medical treatment afterwards that Fang couldn't have known she would be assigned to Lightning. That meant what she had done hadn't been for some recognition, hell she hadn't even said anything about it, no it was just who Fang was and the person Lightning had made her out to be in her earlier outburst was unfair and untrue. So when she lifted her head and noticed Fang staring into one of the screens with her naked self streaking she pushed her pride and caution aside and walked up next to the woman, not looking over at her but looking at the screen. "I'm not sure anyone's ever made so much of a fool out of themselves just for me..." She wasn't taking a shot at Fang and her voice was a bit neutral but there was a small look on her face that spoke towards how ridiculous she felt, and then she turned to look at Fang. "I owe you an apology huh..." She almost muttered it, obviously not good at apologies and she grumbled lowly, "So yeah. Sorry." She didn't know what to say next, perhaps just leave it be until the next day, but she had to apologize for what she had said, especially after seeing what had been behind her sudden arrival. She had to at least try and be 'civil' as Fang had said. Though on thought did cross her mind, that video didn't do Fang's body justice, even if it still looked quite nice.

The dark haired huntress didn't react at first as Lightning stepped up beside her. The report was making a joke at her expense, the anchor person getting a good laugh while some one said something about her good form... Fang sighed then looked to Light as she made the comment about making a fool of herself. Full lip pursed slightly, it hadn't been her intention honestly... but she hadn't thought about it when she did it. She gave a half grin and looked to the screen as it went to commercial. "I don't always think about the things I do... especially when something important is on my mind." She admitted. She was quiet as Light struggled with the words of her apology, she could have made it difficult for her, saying that wasn't no apology but she was thankful for Lightnings efforts. From the things she had already learned about the soldier, this was a very big step for her and to Fang it was all in the right direction. She would not sabotage a good thing, instead she very meekly said. "Thank you." There was no teasing to her voice, no playgirl smile to irritate her rose haired soldier. "It means a great deal to me." She said.
"You on your way home?" Fang asked in a simple conversational manner.

Home... up until this morning she wished that was where she was... home with her little sister, the two of them safe in the work of rebuilding their lost and forgotten home... Now she wasnt so sure, she wanted time to develop this tenuous relationship. Fang was not afraid of or unaccustomed to hard work, she was a firm believer that anything worth having you had to labor for... Fang turned from the television bank walking a few steps in the direction of the retainers office, a slow casual step as she talked for a short time with Lightning. "Enjoy the rest of yor day." She said after Lightning informed her she wasnt quite sure what she would be doing. She neither hinted, nor informed the soldier she was now with out a place to stay... Fang didn't want Lightning to extend to her a place to stay. She was sure the Soldier had, had enough of her by herprevious unkind words... and she didn't want Lightning inviting her over out of some need to make it right.

She wanted to be strong in this womans eyes, not the lost soul from Gran Pulse who couldnt keep a place to stay due to unwise choices... She watched Lightning go on her way before she turned to the retainers office and slid up to the barred window.
"I was told I could find my personal effects here. Names Fang."
"Fang..." The clerk went through a list when they found her name their expression changed. "Oh..." The woman said with a light flush. She shuffled papers and handed them to Fang. "Please check our roster to be sure all of the items listed are yours and that it is everything that was checked in with us." She disappeared behind a wall and came back a few minutes later with Fangs box of items. Fang checked the box agaisnt the list and nodded.
"Its here." She said before signing the list and handing it back to the woman. She guessed her reaction was from the ivory box with its contents scribbled down with the rest.

"Say, would you know of a place where an honest working woman might find a reasonable room for the night?" The clerk blinked at Fang her cheeks burning. "Oh...uh... sorry, forget it." She said and scooped up her box of items before the woman had the guts to ask her to come over for the night. Fang was unaccustomed to people knowing her her notoriety was going to chase her around for awhile she guessed including fueling the dreams of men and women alike after the free show she had given them due to one lousy kid and his phone... Fang sighed, she wondered if she would even be able to find a place for the night.

Fang walked towards the front gate of the Guardian Corps and said her name to the guards men before she walked off towards the city. "Oh hey. Are you Oerba Yun Fang?" One of the guards asked. Fang turned looking back at him a hand on her box. "Yea." She said dubiously.
"I got a message from Captain Montgomery." He pulled the note from his clipboard and handed it to Fang. "Says they are fair even to free ballers." Fang blinked at the man but he just shrugged. "How long have you been on duty?" She asked him. "All morning Ma'am."
That explains that... Fang thought and took the scrap of paper. "Thanks." She said looking to it before she looked back to the guard. "Where abouts is this?"
"Its across the bay ma'am take this street right into town find Chocobo Lane and head south clear out to the docks. Its a bit salty but if the Captain thinks you can handle it, you should be fine."

She didn't know why the Captain took an interest in her but she was suddenly grateful.
"Thank you." She said. He smiled and nodded.
"Have a good day."
"I will, thanks." Fang set off down the walk she had been told. It was nice to know that despite her status as Pulse L'cie, there were still decent folks in this world... the world above.

The place that the good Captain sent her too was a bit perplexing, she was expecting a run down inn looking for any one to fill their rooms. Fang stood in front of what appeared to be some sort of cannery or fishery or something... she wasnt sure what she was looking at, and if that wasnt confusing enough there was what ya might call an old crust sitting with his nets outside, his cap pulled low over his eyes, an unlit cigar between his chapped lips. He didnt even give her a second glance after the first.
"Ya look lost lass, can I help you?" He asked her after she checked the address again.
"I was expecting an old inn or something here." She said raising both hands to the shop the man was sitting next to. He chuckled and shifted that overly large cigar to the other side of his mouth, bitting it as he spoke to her.
"You'll not find a inn in these parts, but if your lookin for a bed I expect Montgomery sent ye." This got Fangs attention.
"Yes sir." She said and turned the note to him.
"Thats his writin alright. He chuckled and set his nets to the side.
"It isnt much, but its a warm dry bed, I don't minds yer commin and goings, just keep an eye on the place for me. Trouble with hoodlems more often than not. Nothing too big. A body does the place well." He said as he slowly got up and motioned her inside. The space was bigger on the inside than the outside let on, it was indeed a cannery, and fishery. Two boats were berthed with in the warehouse like building on one side, old but well cared for. Their steam stacks bobbing slowly in their enclosed bays.
"Last feller what stayed here went an got 'im self a wife." He laughed. "Old salt I swore was married to the sea. Imagine that eh? Guess there really is some one for every one. He led her to the far side of the sheltered dock to a scafolding staircase. "You gots yerself a guy?" He asked her. Fang laughed."No huh? How about a pretty girl?" Fang was quiet a bit as she followed the agile old man up the stairs. "I'm hoping." She said with quiet reserve. It was his turn to chuckle. "Well, going to give it a good run are ya?" Fang nodded as they made the upper landing. "Nothing worth doin unless ya do yer best." He pulled a set of keys from his pocket and unlocked the door. "All I ask is ya make yer rounds for the night, every night. Make people see ya... remember yer rights, and keep a level head. Might hurt my feelins if I come back on the marrow and find me place a pile of sticks and rubble." Fang gave him a lopsided grin.
"I'll remember." She said. They stepped into a small dwelling, it had a small living space that had a place for a bed, and a small but functioning shower and bathroom. "Taint got no kitchen, but I expect my wife will feel the need to feed ya if you stick around long enough. She feeds all the boys lunch. Oh, the boys, the're a rough lot, but good men. Give em hell and they'll give ya some space. Let em know your fishin for the same game, and they'll likly adopt ya right an proper..." He laughed and looked around the small place.
"What ya think?" Fang who had been looking the place over thought it was bigger than her last place.
"What'll I owe ya?" She asked in an honest and serious voice. He waved her off.
"Like I said, you keep me shop and ladies safe, and were square. Make rounds every night afore ya go ta bed, and make sures people know you taint gonna take no guff and I expect I will be gettin the better deal." He held the keys up for her to take. Fang looked at them then to the old man before she took them. "I don't know what ta say..." He laughed. "Lass... sometimes we jsut need a hand up, don't gotta say nothin but thanks."
She bowed her head feeling a bit overwhelmed by the kindness she had just been given. No prove it, no payment, no trial run... just here ya go. Do right by me and I do right by you.
"Thank you Sir."
"Eh, just call me Jonah." Fang's classic smile came upon her at that.
"Jonah." She said and pocketed the keys he had given her. "Names Fang." She held her hand out to him then, and they shook. A strong calloused hand in her own, it was meaty and hard worked, but it was the most beautiful hand she had been given since her arrival. A hand extended in genuine friendship.
"Mornings start early, but taint to much of a fuss. The girls give a bit of a grumble but its a beautiful sound." He said with a grin as they shook.
"Well, I bes be gettin back to my nets if'n were gonna have a good haul come tamarro. You settle in." He said to her. "Get to know the place, and have a looksee ya?" She nodded enthusiastically.
"I will." Fang spent her afternoon exploring the Jonah and Sons Fishing and Canning warehouse inside and out. Checking its defenses and all points of possible entry and exit. It was the most fun she had had all week.
