Only the gold, not their weapons and other gear too? Ok...you find one thousand gold pieces before burying them with their belongings. The fiery fairy is a fae who can control and manipulate fire. Just imagine a fairy with butterfly wings who is as big as your fist. Where do you want to go now, continue exploring the forest, go to the beach or somewhere else?

*facepalm* Seriously? How about you google the mythological creature sphinx? Greek mythology, not the statue in Egypt. That should answer your question. As for what lies beyond the three doors...you'll have to open them first and then walk through them to find that out. No spoilers so you can't pick the best path to victory.
Drenching your entire body except your wings by using the water of the eternal spring takes some time thanks to the fact that the bottle only refills itself after it got closed and opened again when it is empty. That way it can't be used to flood a whole town, but it can still be used as a weapon by combining it with aquakinesis. The chimera watches you pouring water on yourself and then spreads its wings to follow you into the air to grab and drag you down back to the ground.
