Kidnapped to Zendac (DareToDream and TheDuchess)

He heard her banging on the bedroom door and calling his name and the fear he felt spiked harder. Someone was in there with her. He could feel them, knew they had breeched his perimeter defenses with the magical assault that had knocked him on his butt. He reached the door, calling for her, and tried to open it but it was stuck fast, the metal apparently fusing as a result of the energy that burst through the house. He cursed, then did the only thing left to him, teleporting into the far side of the room. The minute he reappeared, his eyes swept the room. He saw Susan, her back against the bedroom door, a towel wrapped around her body. Her hair was in disarray and her eyes were wide with fear as she faced the being in front of her. Alexan’s eyes swept over him next and he swore softly, recognizing him as level 2 Demon. He had no time to think, simply reacting, and with a raise of his hand, he sent a bolt of lightning streaking across the room, slamming it into the side of the demon. The bolt struck him with far greater force than Alexan had expected, his power seeming to be heightened in that moment, and the level 2 cried out, staggering sideways before crumbling to his knees. Alexan moved swiftly to Susan’s side, grabbing her arm lightly and pulling her behind him as he faced the demon on the floor. It was clear that his bolt had struck a terminal blow; he could feel the demon’s magic draining off into the house defenses slowly, but he didn’t ease his guard. The demon raised his head and stared at Alexan, his eyes brightening to orange flames. “Well done, level 3” it said, its voice like crushed stones. “But more will be coming.” Then it collapsed, face forward onto the floor. Alexan stared at it for a second, trying to figure out how he’d felled him in one blow, when he felt it. His energy was humming at a higher rate than normal. He looked inward and saw the blue and red energy mixing together, virtually vibrating, and he knew. They’d done it together. Turning to Susan, he grabbed her into a tight hug. “Are you ok?” he murmured, his breath on her ear. “Please tell me you’re ok.”

She breathed softly and moved her head to lay against his shoulder while he held her, she then hyper ventilated herself in crying, she cried because she was scared, she wrapped her arms around him and held him tighter, she couldn't speak she could talk she was stunned that something had gotten through his barrier and was in her room, she looked at the crumbled demon on her floor and buried her head deeper into his chest not worrying about her towel which was falling slightly from behind.

He held her tight, his arms a warm embrace around her, keeping her safe. He could feel her trembling against him, her fear bubbling out, and felt his clothes dampening from her tears. After a few moments, he began to stroke her hair softly, running his fingers through the wet strands, trying to calm her. He turned the so that she could no longer see the fallen demon, though he knew she’d never forget he was there. “It’s ok” he murmured in her ear, his breath brushing her skin. “He can’t hurt you now.” He kissed the top of her head gently and pulled her closer. He knew he needed to figure out how his defenses had been breeched, and figure out why his strength had been far stronger than usual, but there was time for that later. Right now, he needed to simply hold her and comfort her.

She breathed softly trying to suck up her tears, she felt like a big baby now, she pulled her head back and wiped her face while holding her towel " why... what happened, how did he get in?" she asked looking up at him and pushed her lavender scented hair back and turned to look at the body on the floor then back at him, she wasn't sure what to think now... if his barrier was broken then how safe would she be at night or at any time of the day.

He looked down at her, his fingers lightly caressing her cheek for a moment, then closed his eyes and sent his magic out into his house. He explored his perimeter defenses carefully, looking for the breech, and when he found it, his jaw dropped. It had been so simple and that very fact gave him hope. He opened his eyes and looked at her. “The wind knocked a tree branch down and it got stuck between the house and the tree. My defenses aren’t designed to keep out non-magical beings, animate or not, so when the branch rested against the house, it created a minute opening in my defenses. The demon used that to get in.” He lightly stroked her cheek again and closed his eyes. With a thought, the branch was burned away and his barrier restored. He took an extra step, layering another barrier over that one, designed to deflect any non-magical item from entering the perimeter without his permission. He opened his eyes again and looked at her. “I have fixed that now” he murmured. “Let me show you.” He laid his palm on her cheek and pulled her awareness into him, letting her see that the branch was gone and the extra layer was now in place. “This should keep us safe for a while.” He paused, then added. “We need to talk about this, what it means, but first, let me take care of him” he said, motioning to the fallen demon. He let her go then and knelt down by the demon, touching it. With a thought, the body was gone.

She looked at him and pushed her wet hair out of her face and sighed softly pulling the towel tighter around her, she moved around him and went to the wardrobe opening it and finding her pj's and under garments laying them out on the bed and looked at him " ill be out in a moment" she said still a bit shaken up, the realized that this was the first time he has seen her in a towel and this was the most skin she had shown to him, she covered herself and looked at him shyly.

Alexan felt her pull away as she composed herself some more. When she moved to the wardrobe and began pulling out clothes, it dawned on him that she had still been wearing the towel. He hadn’t paid attention to it during all the intensity of the past few moments but he was acutely aware of it now and he blushed. He tried hard not to look and when she said she’d be out in a moment, he nodded and turned to open the door. When it wouldn’t open, he remembered the problem from before and swore softly, then gave it a hard pull, then another, finally hearing the metal pop loose. He almost glanced back at her but managed to stop himself in time and ducked out the door, closing it behind him. He headed down the hall, his heart pounding out a fast rhythm.

Waited for him to leave before sitting down and regaining her composure before changing into her pj's and came out walking across the floor barefooted in a pair of pj pants and a tank top and she had pulled her hair back into a french braid and looked around for him before find him and went over to him wrapping her arms around her waist and leaned her head against his chest and looked up at him " we are alright now.. right" she smiled slightly and kept her arms around him.

He heard her door open and glanced up as she walked out. He took in her pjs and tank top and smiled at her. She loved lovely even in night clothes. As she came up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned her head on him, he sighed and wrapped his arms around her. It felt so nice holding her like this, he didn’t want to let her go. He met her beautiful eyes when she looked up and swallowed hard. “Yes, we are alright for now.” He closed his eyes briefly to test the perimeter defenses, best to be safe and all, then opened them again. “No weaknesses in my defenses. We’re safe.” He moved a hand up and gently stroked her hair. “What I did in there…” he stopped and closed his eyes, then continued, his voice faltering a little. “I...I have never killed anyone before. When I knew my defenses had been breeched and there was someone in your room with you, all I could think of was keeping you safe. When I saw who, or rather, what it was, I..I didn’t think, I just reacted.” He closed his eyes then, looking away. “I am sorry” he murmured.

Watched him and shook her head" its alright, as long as you didn't intend to do it" she said and closed her eyes sighing softly before pulling back away from him and going to the kitchen to make her some tea, she was a bit short for the cabinet so she climbed on her knees and reached up grabbing her tea and getting down moving over to the tea pot and poured some water in it then putting it on the stove, she leaned against the counter and crossed her arms and got a look on her face, a look of worry and fear merged in, before she looked to him "Alexan will more come?" she asked and placed her fingers to her lips gently.

Alexan nodded, sighing a little. “I did not mean to kill him. I hate violence but when it’s unavoidable, I will fight, especially to protect those I care about. I knew what he wanted, what he planned to do, and I had to stop him. I…I was never that strong before. I did not know my bolt would kill him.” He felt her pull away and missed their contact immediately. When she made her tea and turned to him, the look on her face caused his heart to flutter. He knew what she was thinking before she asked it. He wanted to tell her it would be alright, that they would be forever safe, but she’d heard what the demon said right before he died as clearly as he did and she would know that was a lie. And he didn’t want lies between them. “More will come” he said “but we will deal with them together.”

She frowned not liking that thought, she turned around looking at her tea and heard the whistle before taking it off and pouring her a cup, making it the way she liked it, she breathed softly and moved past him holding her cup in her hands before looking back at him with a slight frown," good night Alex" she said gently and nodded before going into her room leaving the door open and setting her cup by her bed and climbing in pulling her book out and started to read, but found that she couldn't and set it back down and turned over laying down and burring her head in the pillow.

He nodded to her. “Good night and sweet dreams” he said as she walked past. He headed to the kitchen and poured himself a cup of tea also, wanting it to relax him a little. As he sat at the table and let the tea steep, he noted that she’d left the bedroom door open and wondered if it made her feel safer since she hadn’t been able to open it when the demon first appeared in her room. He knew she was upset by that encounter and he didn’t blame her. As he sipped his tea, he closed his eyes and checked his defenses again. Though they were fine, he decided to layer more defenses over those and spent the next half hour doing that. Then he concentrated on the inside of the house, putting defenses around both bedrooms, the front door and the windows. If another demon breeched his outer defenses, they would encounter more layers after layers and would have to breech those in turn. That would buy him time to deal with the attack and get her to safety. Reasonably sure they were now as safe in the house as possible, he finished his tea and cleaned the cup, setting it down to dry then headed towards his bedroom, turning off the lights along the way. He stopped at her bedroom and knocked on the door jam. “I just wanted to let you know I’m retiring for the night” he said, then slipped into his room. He left his door open also. He had a feeling he would not be able to sleep much that night but he needed to try.

She sat up in bed in time to see him walk away, she looked out the window and sighed softly closing her eyes, she tried to sleep but everything that happened was getting to her, she bolted up in bed and pulled her hair out of her braid ruffling up her silky hair, she turned her head towards the door and got out of bed pulling her pants on and walking towards her room, she looked in seeing that he was laying down, and slowly made her way into his room slowly climbing on the bed next to him and stayed close, she figured that maybe she would feel alot safer by staying near him at least.

Alexan heard her slip into his room and climb up onto his bed and a small sigh escaped him. He was afraid that she would not want anything to do with him for a while because of what had happened. To know that she trusted him enough to climb into his bed meant a lot to him. He drew the covers up over both of them and moved closer to her, letting the warmth of her body wash over him. He hesitated briefly, then slid his arm over her waist, snuggling against her. He wasn’t thinking of anything other than comfort at that moment and the need and desire to be near her. His face was buried in her hair when he quietly murmured to her. “I will do everything I can to keep you safe Susan” he whispered, more to himself than to her, his voice was so low. “I think I would die if something happened to you.” With those words, he closed his eyes and tried to rest.

She opened her eyes slowly and listened to him, she let him put his arm around her, she felt safe and warm against him and it felt ...nice, she moved her hand slowly up and laced her fingers in with his one hand and smiled slightly bringing his hand up closer and scooting back to where her back was against his chest and his hand was up next to her face letting her kiss his hand gently before slowly falling asleep finally.

He felt her lace her fingers in his and pull his hand upward, not knowing what she was doing. When her lips brushed his skin, he smiled into her hair and snuggled a little closer. It wasn’t long before he drifted off to sleep, their combined body heat finally shutting down his mind. He awoke sometime later, sunlight slowly drifting in through the windows. Susan was still nestled up against him and he stayed where he was, not wanting to disturb her and, quite honestly, not wanting to lose the feel of her body resting against his peacefully.

She stayed asleep with a good hold on his hand for another hour before she slowly opened her eyes and looked down to see his hand and him so close to her, she stayed there for a moment longer before turning her head slightly looking around and blinking her eyes slightly letting out another yawn, she extended her stiff legs before turning over slightly and looking at him " morning" she breathed out softly before rubbing her eyes gently then realizing that she was usually a monster in the morning, she immediately started to fix her hair running her fingers through it to try and straighten it out.

Alexan smiled at her as she rolled over, yawning and stretching. “Good morning” he murmured back. He scooted back a little to give her room to work on her hair, and moved to his back, taking the moment to also stretch. Rolling back over he watched her for a second, thinking how nice it was to wake up with someone else in the bed with him. He didn’t want to just sit and watch her for fear that it would make her uncomfortable so he slowly slid from the bed and stood, stretching some more. He had only worn his night pants to bed and the cool air on his chest helped wake him up a little more. Turn to her, he brushed his hands over his eyes. “Did you sleep well?” he asked softly.

She looked at him and nodded pushing her hair back and rubbing under her eyes and yawned softly " yes i did... did you? I hope it was alright that i slept here last night" she frowned slightly and pulled her legs up to her chest wrapping her arms around her knees and and laid her head down on her knees looking out the window then back at him her stomach growling, she blinked slightly and placed her hand over her stomach " wow thats odd im never hungry this early, she yawned again and got up walking slightly before reaching over and taking his hand gently and pulling him with her, she didn't care that he didn't have a shirt on, he looked rather.. handsome she had to admit to her self before she shook her head and pushed those thoughts away leading him into the kitchen and setting him down at the table " what would you like?

He watched her yawn, then sit up in bed, tucking her legs up against her chest. Although her hair was a little wild, and she definitely looked sleepy, he realized that the sight of her in the morning was a very nice thing. “I did” he answered, wondering if he should tell her it was because she was there with him and deciding against it. He smiled at her next question. “It was fine. I’m glad you felt safe enough, and trusted me enough, to want to do it.” Even though he was no longer in the bed with her, he could still feel her body pressed against his lightly, his arm around her waist and her warmth spreading over him. Sharing his bed with her was nice even if there wasn’t anything romantic between them. When he heard her stomach growl, he chuckled softly. She had no idea that her hunger was most likely the result of the magic he had done yesterday. He decided he’d tell her while they ate as she took his hand and dragged him down the hall to the table. “Hmmm, maybe some eggs and toast?” he said, answering her question. “If you don’t mind, that is. You don’t have to cook for me.” He closed his eyes then, sending his magic out into the house, testing all the defensive layers he had laid the night before. Satisfied they were all still in place, he opened them and leaned forward. “By the way, the hunger you’re feeling…I think it’s a result of the magic I used yesterday. My bolt was more powerful than it should have been if I’d just used my own magic, which means that I used mine and yours to cast it. Using magic burns off our energy, making us tired and hungrier quicker than usual.”

She smiled and shook her head " nope its my turn to cook, and i didn't eat yesterday ether" she said just now thinking about it, she got everything out and started to make him some eggs, but then started to make a special omelet for herself, egg white's and bell pepper with turkey and cheese, she sprinkled pepper and a little salt over them and brought him his breakfast then sitting down to eat hers with a glass of juice " i don't eat breakfast that much, but when i do i try to keep it light but filling" she smiled and started to eat hers chewing softly before thinking about what she was going to do for entertainment, she figured she could play a few of her games that she had that she hadn't played or finished.

He took the plate of food she handed him, the delightful aroma making his mouth water. “Thank you” he murmured as he took the first bite, enjoying it immensely. “I find I have to eat three meals a day or I get too hungry” he said, pausing between bites. “Though sometimes I get so busy at whatever I’m doing that I forget to eat. I feel it later when I have to use magic and it drains me.” He finished off a piece of toast, getting his first good look at what she had made for herself. “That looks wonderful” he said, motioning to her food with his fork. He finished off the second piece of toast and thought about next steps for them. He waited until she’d eaten a little, then spoke. “We’re safe as long as we stay in the house” he said “but eventually we will need to leave here. There’s so much I want to show you but to do that, we first need to teach you how to use your magic.” He thought about some of the stuff she had brought with her then and smiled. “And if you’d like, I can set up the magic link to Earth so that you can access this thing you call the Internet on your computer.”

She ate quietly and then looked up at him," there is no need to set up the link....the only thing i used it for was classes and art videos, i don't know if i want to talk with people that i will never see again, and lie about where i am to them" she looked at him gently, she didn't mean to make him feel bad about anything he did, but it did come out that way, " im sorry, i shouldn't of said it like that, you have done nothing wrong" she said and moved closer to him getting up in the process and wrapped her arms around his shoulders gently laying her head on one of her arms and closed her eyes, " i would love to see Zendac and learn how to use these new found powers of mine.

He closed his eyes at her words, heat racing through his cheeks, which got brighter when he felt her arms wrap around his shoulders. He appreciated her gesture and relished her touch, the heat from her body warming him. He reached up and gently stroked her arm with his fingers. “Thank you” he whispered softly. For not being mad at him and for wanting to spend time with him and for holding him. Those words he kept to himself though, letting the two words say it all. He stayed like that for a moment before speaking again, not wanting to disturb her or the comfort she provided. “Then we shall see Zendac soon” he murmured, laying a gentle kiss on her arm. “But first, we must teach you how to shield your magic from others and how to put up a force field around yourself.” He slowly pulled out of her embrace, the sudden cold he felt making him want to hug her back but he resisted. “Let’s go sit on the couch and I’ll walk you through the basics.”
