Kidnapped to Zendac (DareToDream and TheDuchess)

She thought about something, regarding his eyes and watched him closely to see if that blush came to his cheeks, when they didn't come she smiled at him and nodded her head " alright, im glad you can only hear my thoughts, i would be worried if anyone else could... ya know?" she said and smiled before leaning forward and giving his forehead a kiss gently before moving closer to him smiling warmly.
 
When she smiled and nodded her head, Alexan knew what he’d done in his mind had worked. No thought had reached him and that was good. He strengthened the barrier some more, ensuring that it would stay locked in place, and returned her smile. “Trust me, I understand” he said. “I wouldn’t want people hearing my thoughts all the time either. My shield will hold so your thoughts are private until we can teach you how to shield them from me.” He closed his eyes when she kissed his forehead and sighed in pleasure as she moved closer. His hands wrapped around her, softly stroking her back, and he bent down, kissing her lightly for a second, then pulling away. “We should probably start that food shopping now” he said, a twinkle in his eye.
 
She smiled and closed her eyes when he kissed her, she opened her eyes and looked at him before nodding " alright, im ready when you are" she leaned in against him and smiled lightly gazing up at him and stroking his arm softly with her thumb and felt herself calm easily.
 
He smiled down at her. “I don’t know about you but I want a shower and a change of clothes first.” They’d slept on the couch in the same things they had on yesterday and, at least in his case, he could really use some soap and water, if only to feel a little fresher and to wake up some. He wanted his wits about him when they ventured outside. Kissing her gently one last time, he pulled away and took his plate to the kitchen, cleaning it and drying it before putting it away.
 
She smiled and laid down on the couch and stretched lightly before quietly getting up and going to her room and began to change in her normal clothes, just her jeans and a tank top with a button down shirt that is open at the top, she moved over to her mirror and pulled her hair to ether side of her face making the pig tails look lose and messy around her head, she put on a simple shell necklace and slipped on her shoes, she knew he would be in the shower when she came out and so she waited grabbing a book on her way out she plopped down on the couch and laid back reading quietly waiting.
 
Alexan headed for his room shortly after Susan went to hers. Slipping through the open door and closing it behind him, he quickly stripped as he walked to the bathroom. Turning on the water and letting it warm up, he examined himself in the mirror. He was bruised from the incident with the demon earlier, or rather from the impact with the ground after they were pulled from the teleport, but those would heal in time. Thanks to Susan, his injured ribs were as good as new. He stretched then, working the kinks out of his body and as soon as the water was ready, slipped into the shower. Taking care to get himself nice and clean, he hopped out, dried off, and changed into a pair of jeans, sneakers, and a tee shirt, then headed back into the living room. He saw Susan on the couch reading and smiled. “Always the book worm” he said, grinning. “I love that about you.” He moved into the kitchen to get a quick of water before returning. “Ready for your first foray into the Zendac grocery system?”
 
She rolled her eyes slightly at him " yay im so excited " she said sarcastically and got up leaving her book on the couch and coming back over to him and slipping the water from his hand and took a quick sip before grinning at him " but yes i am ready" she gave the water back to him before sitting up on the counter and leaning back looking at him twitching her nose slightly.
 
He laughed at her sarcasm. “You should be” he said. “You never know what you’ll find in a Zendac grocery store. Sometimes, the food is even alive.” He clucked at her when she took his water and drank from it, though it really didn’t bother him at all. When she jumped up on the counter, he moved between her legs and put his arms on both sides of her, trapping her. He smiled when he saw her nose twitch. “Something bothering that cute nose of yours?” he asked, a grin on his face.
 
She tilted her head slightly when he came closer to her, she leaned down placing her nose to his neck and sniffed him in a funny way " mm i think its you" she said quietly and moved her nose against his skin and giggling softly " smell nice by the way" she said and pulled her head back looking down at him and smiling " what is the most memorable thing you have found at the store?"
 
Alexan shivered when she sniffed him, not because it tickled or made him cold. It was just the intimacy of the act, innocent yet alluring. “You like?” he murmured. “It’s a new soap I was trying. Has some sort of earth herbs in it. It lathered up good when I used it at least.” He laughed as she pulled her head back but stayed where he was. His hands moved closer to her though, now resting on her hips. “Hmm, the most memorable thing……that had to be these tiny little chillbooies that I saw one day. They are a little bigger than earth rats but super cute. All fluffy white fur, they can stand on their hind legs and chitter at you. They are very rare and some demons will pay a fortune for them. Apparently they are a delicacy to some.” He got a smile on his face as he finished. “No one got to eat those little fella’s though. I had….an accident…” he was laughing now. “Tripped and fell into their cage, breaking it open. Created such a ruckus that no one saw them escape. They tried to get me to pay for them once they realized they had escaped but I said I’d sue the store for having a wet floor and they let it go. I hope those little fellas made it to safety ok.” He looked at her. “Yep, that had to have been the most memorable thing.”
 
She smiled trying to imagine what they looked like " they sound adorable Alex, what other pets do you have here...cause those sound like pets to me...somthing cute and fuzzy that could lay in my lap or sit on my shoulder" she smiled at him looking down at him before pushing her hair back and laughing at his accident but stopping herself eventully while looking down at him and wrapping her arms around his neck gently rubbing the back of his head.
 
He smiled, slightly distracted by her hands around his neck. “Some demons do keep the chillbooies as pets, keeping them in a cage similar to the way humans keep hamsters and gerbils, but others eat them like humans do chickens. Me, I could never eat them, they are simply too adorable.” His eyes closed briefly as he thought of her next question, picturing the different creatures he’d found in stores. “Well, I’ve seen snake like things and bunny like things plus various types of birds. We even have creatures that resemble earth monkees – they are a popular pet for the lazier demons because they can help around the house. There is even a pet that looks very similar to an earth wolf. I’ve thought about getting one of those at times. They are very gentle creatures.” He smiled up at her then, his hands gently rubbing her hips. “Would you like a pet one day?” he asked.
 
She smiled and nodded " i would like one of those chillibooies, but it might be hard to get one since they are hard to find" she smiled and jumped down into his arms and looked up at him " or maybe one of those dogs for you" she smiled and leaned up kissing his cheek softly and moving around him " lets head to the market " she said fixing her hair in the mirror and smiling at him as she moved towards the door.
 
Alexan smiled when she jumped down and kissed his cheek, then slipped out from between his arms. “We could always try and get one of each” he said as he turned to watch her move in front of the mirror. “It might take us a while to find a chillbooie but when we do, we can purchase one. It’s the least I could do for you after everything that has happened.” He followed her to the door, opening it and stepping outside, pulling her after him. He checked the houses defenses one more time, then made sure their own shields were in place. “Do you want to teleport to the shopping district directly or walk there?” he asked.
 
She smiled and held his hand gently as they walked outside " id like to walk there, good exercise " she smiled and led the way down the path and smiled back at him looking around outside and tilted her head up to the sun and smiled softly " its beautiful today" she said turning her head towards him and smiling at him.
 
He squeezed her hand gently and nodded. “Sounds like a plan” he said. “I enjoy being outside in the sun. If I stay inside too much, I get this edgy cooped up feeling.” They began to walk, leaving the neighborhood and entering the town, their fingers entwined. He smiled back when she commented. “Yes, it is” he murmured. As they walked, he pointed out different things that caught his eye. Some flowers tucked away in a corner near a building, different birds flitting about, different demons he saw and knew, and the occasionally building that caught his eye. Soon they approached the shopping district and he directed them towards the first store. “I think you might like this one” he said softly. “I know we came out to buy food but I can’t resist.” He steered them into the open doorway, revealing an art store.
 
She looked around and blinked slightly before moving through the store and she suddenly felt eyes stop on her, she looked around and narrowed her eyes " what the hell are you looking at" when she said that everyone went about their own business, she turned towards the isle or paint brushes and looked at the unknown brands feeling the bristles and smiling slightly, she called alex over and looked at him handing him a brush " what kind of hair is that" she asked and looked up at him.
 
Alexan almost doubled over in laughter when she spoke and all the store customers suddenly found other things to do. She had fire, he had to give her that. He made sure that no one got any other ideas about her before continuing after her as she walked up and down aisles. When she called him over, he came and stood next to her, taking the paint brush she held out. He touched the bristles, feeling them between his fingers. They were soft, yet firm, and he smiled. “It’s the hair of a Boka” he answered. “They are mountain beasts, similar to your mountain goats. Their fur is used for all sorts of things, including paint brushes.”
 
She frowned slightly because of the use of the animals fur, she wondered what happened to the animal, she didn't say anything and she found an odd one she hadn't seen before and touched it before shaking her head and looking at him " i really don't need anything" she said and smiled at him putting the brush back and taking his hand to make sure he didn't buy anything for her, she lead him next door to the market and grabbed a basket and walked with him.
 
He watched her examine a few other supplies, noting her earlier frown but not inquiring since it went away. “Okay” he said with a nod. “I mainly wanted to make sure you saw the store, so when the time came for supplies, you’d have the option of Earth stuff vs Zendac stuff.” When she took his hand, he sighed lightly and followed her next door to the market. They moved up and down the aisles, picking up some fruit and more teas, some vegetables and other assorted foods, him pointing out different things to her and explaining what they were and where they came from. He picked up a few things he’d never tried before too, wanting to see how he could use them in a meal that he might cook for her. Finally, they had picked up what they needed and paid for it, then exited the store. “Walk home?” he inquired with a murmur.
 
Looked at him and smiled " we have alot lets just transport home" she smiled and held the bags in her hands trying to hide herself from the eyes of the men that walked around, she looked up at him and moved closer to him " i don't want to be rude to people but i will if they don't stop staring" she said and looked at the men that were eyeing her up.
 
He glanced around at the male demons in the store that had crowded a little closer and grinned. With a thought, his magic flared, pushing out into the crowd, letting them know just what he was willing to do to protect her. They got the message and quickly dispersed. “Ready?” he asked as he moved towards the door, holding it open with his body for her. They slipped out onto the street, moving away from the store. He felt it immediately and knew there’d be no teleporting in that moment. Glancing at her, he quietly whispered “put the bags on the ground and get behind me please.” He strengthened his shield as he waited for her to do it.
 
She looked at him and knew what he was talking about, she set the bags down and moved behind him quickly and placing her hands on his side just in case, she got close to him her chest pressing lightly against his back and looked around them.... wait were there more than one.... this wasn't good, they had barely gotten out of the last one, she couldn't fight and he couldn't take on more than one, she opened her mind and closed her eyes " i think there is more than one Alex" she said to him as she looked around again.
 
He scanned the street, not seeing anyone yet but knowing they were out there. “I know” he whispered over his shoulder. “Two of them. Cloaked from the looks of it.” He felt her hands gripping his sides and took a deep breath. “Susan, I can’t teleport us out – they have a shield over the area preventing it. I’m going to have to fight and that means I’m going to have to hurt them if I can. I’m sorry.” He closed his eyes briefly, extending his shield over both of them, letting it mingle with the one she had pulled up around herself already. Then he scanned the area, looking for a way to tell where they were. He glanced at the road, seeing the dirt and dust swirling around and had an idea. With a thought, he manipulated the dust, sending it into the area, sweeping down the road. Though cloaked, the dust settled over the demons and told him where they were. “I want no trouble” Alexan called to them. “We simply want to be left alone in peace.”
 
She froze when she felt something behind her and squeezed tighter , she turned around and came face to face with one of the other demons, she stared at him with a fearful look and hugged Alex tighter drawing her own shield out and surrounding him out of fear to be taken away from him, she felt the demons eyes on her body and didn't budge from where she stood.
