Kidnapped to Zendac (DareToDream and TheDuchess)

He felt the presence of the third one at the same time that Susan squeezed even tighter against his back. The feel of her breasts against him would, under any other circumstances, have been arousing but now it simply told him how close the demon was to them. Somehow he’d slipped past his radar. With a thought, he sent a blast of energy backward, pushing through Susan and gathering her energy into his. The ball of energy hit the demon square in the chest, blasting him through the store’s wall, giving them space. He reached back and grabbed her hand and began jogging out into the street, giving them a little room to move.

She jogged with him and even broke out into a run behind him, she kept her eyes forward and suddenly screamed as she was snatched from the side and taken into the trees out of his sight, she closed her eyes and reached up with her hand wrapping her fingers around his face and sending a blast of fire against him making him drop her in surprise, she ran for it and she was unbelievably fast for a human, she ran for the tree line to where she was snatched and called out for Alex.

Alex felt her ripped from his hand and cringed when her scream rent the air around them. He spun around in time and saw her being pulled into the forest by another demon, though he wasn’t sure if it was a fourth one or one of the two from the street. Glancing over his shoulder, he could only see one demon and knew that somehow the other had gotten around them. Fearing for her life, he moved towards the forest only to feel a flare of magic come from her, their magic so entwined he felt the pull as she released whatever spell she’d used. He heard her cry his name and appear at the edge of the trees and moved to protect her when it hit him. A ball of energy slammed into his back, stopped by his shields but hitting with enough force to lift him up and slam him into the nearest tree face first. He groaned as he slid to the ground but immediately rolled to his stomach and sent a lightning bolt blasting into the demon that had attacked. There was a bright flare and the demon was thrown backwards, tumbling end over end. Alexan climbed to his feet and reached for Susan, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards him, wrapping his arms around her. They needed to get out of there but he knew this fight wasn’t over yet.

She wrapped her arms around him and healed what ever ache he had and looked around as the three demons surrounded them, she swallowed hard and held tightly to him and looking up at his face keeping her mind open for him, this wasn't all three of the demons were hurt in some way, the one who had grabbed her only had a burnt face and will have second degree burn and possibly a few scars, the one they had attacked first was healing him self and the other was getting up limping over to them.

He felt her magic flow into him and begin to heal his injury caused by that blast and he smiled. In the midst of battle, her greatest concern was for him and that made his heart swell. He felt adrenaline pump through his system then and knew, that no matter what happened, they were not getting her. Not now, not ever. He felt the demons moving on in them, her thoughts relaying what she knew, and closed his eyes, gathering energy from deep within himself. He built it up to a great force, then slowly tapped into hers, drawing even more into him. This next move on his part had to count and he would ensure that it did. As they slowly approached, one of them called out to him.

“Release her and we will let you live” the most healthy demon called. “We do not care about you, little weakling. We only want her.”

Alexan grinned at their words and shook his head. “I don’t think so” he said, his head moving slowly between the demons. “She is not a piece of property to be taken by any man that wants her. I made that mistake once and it will never happen again. I don’t want to have to kill you but I will if necessary. Maybe then your kind will get the message that she is off limits.”

They continued to move forward and he waited, building the energy higher and higher. It was tucked safely behind their shields and he hoped the other demons couldn’t sense the true magnitude of what he was building. When they kept coming and two raised their hands, he knew it was time. With a cry, he ripped their shields down and sent the blast outward, flowing from around them. It was a wave of blue energy, crackling in its force, and it hit all three of them at the same time. Two were caught completely unawares, frying on the spot, their skin crisping at contact, cries of death lost to the winds. The third managed to get a shield up in time and was only blasted backwards, hurtled down the street with force. The blast of their combined energy, combined with the death of two of the demons, was enough to break their hold on the teleport shield though. He felt it crumble down around them and turned to her. “Teleport us Susan. My energy needs time to rebuild.”

She held him close to her and soon they were gone from the street but where they landed surprised her, she opened her eyes and looked around, had she thought about this.... it was her old room.... and that meant... she heard foot steps coming up the stairs quickly and susan acted just as quick, she hid him in her closet before her mothers maid came in looking around and eyes fell on susan " oh its only you dear" she said and nodded before leaving and closing the door and leaving, she sighed softly and opened the closet and catching him as he fell practically in her arms " i must of thought of my mothers house" she whispered to him and took him to the bed laying him down and looking at him smiling " is this bad that we are here?"

It all happened so fast he never knew what hit him. One moment they were in the city street and the next she was jamming him into a closet. He heard a voice say something to her and suddenly realized that, wherever they were, it was not in their home. Before he could process that further, she opened the closet door and caught him as he stumbled out. She led him to a bed and placed him in it, smiling down at it. Her words stunned him and he tried so hard to hold it in but ultimately he failed. His hand shot to his belly as the laughter bubbled out, low sounds of joy that he muffled with the pillow on the bed. When he finally composed himself he sat up and took her hand. “We just escaped three Level 1 demons and you’re worried that you teleported us to Earth? Don’t be. You got us out of there when you needed too and you took us to the one place that you’ve always felt the safest.” He glanced around the room, which still retained some of the child that Susan used to be, and smiled. “Now that we’re here, maybe I should meet your mom” he said, a twinkle in his eye.

She looked at him with a stunned look on her face and pinched her nose slightly, "its not that easy... she well...." she got up and walked around the room looking at her old easel and paint brushes touching them lightly " i havn't seen my mom in a while and well i have heard that she is confined to her bed but is well.... if you really want to see her i can see if she is up for company" she smiled at him and took his hand before looking at him.... " ahhh can you change you appearance... it might be to much for her to wonder why you have pointed ears and no hair."

He watched her movements, listening to her words. When she returned to the bed and took his hand, he smiled. “I was actually teasing you hon” he said. “Not that I don’t want to meet your mom but I figured you wouldn’t want me to meet her, what with everything that’s happened. I just couldn’t resist teasing you since we’re in your childhood room.” He thought about what she’d said though and frowned. “I’m sorry to hear about your mom though. Perhaps, since we’re here, you should take the time to see her. Let her know you are doing well. I can wait here for you.”

She looked at him and smiled " she will want to see the reason i will not be coming around" she lead him out the door and down the hall opening a pair of double doors and walking in slowly looking at her mother, it looked like a normal bed room save for the hospital gear that sat by the bed or off in the corrner in case she needed it, she walked in and gently moved the drip out of the way as she sat next to her mother and frowning " i had no idea it was this bad mother" she said and her mother turned to look at her and smiled, she had susan's eyes but there was something wrong they were clouded, showing her as blind, and her white hair held hints of red still left in it, her mother looked good for someone so sick, and that showed that the women aged well, her mother smiled at her and laughed slightly " not even a hello mother you look well, god your just like your father" she said in a slightly raspy voice and moved her eyes around the room, " Susan dear have you brought someone with you, i can hear them" she smiled and looked around, susan looked back at him and motioned him over before looking back to her mother " yes mother i brought a friend home, his name is Alex" her mother cooed lightly and smiled " dear you have never brought a young man home before come come now i must meet him" she said and slowly started to sit up, Susan froze and waited before her mother leaned against the head board before reaching her arms out " come here young man let me touch your face... this damn illness had rendered me blind lately " she said and susan moved away and letting Alex sit next to her so she could touch his face.

Alexan quickly changed his appearance so that he would appear human and followed her down the hall, entering the bedroom behind her. His eyes swept over the room, taking in the hospital equipment, the bed, and the woman lying in it. The equipment was foreign to him, not having seen much of it on Zendac since most demons could heal themselves, but he was familiar with injury and illness. He listened to mother and daughter talk, trying not to intrude, but came forward when her mother called for him. He glanced at Susan briefly, smiling gently then knelt down so her mother could touch his face. Her hands were rough and shaky as they landed on him and he worried that she’d notice that his skin had an unusual texture. Trying to prevent it, he planted a suggestion in her mind with his magic, telling her he had normal human skin. Unfortunately, slipping into her mind had an affect on him also and his mind was suddenly sucked into her body, zooming along her nerves, seeing more than he wanted. When he suddenly zipped back into his body, he blinked and stepped back out of her grip. “It’s a pleasure to meet you ma’am” he said, taking a hand and kissing it lightly. He glanced over at Susan then, sending her a mental message. I can help her.

She breathed softly and bit her lip looking at him then sat next to her mother and smiled slightly at her " mother Alex is a doctor.... a special kind of doctore very exclusive ...." she lied and cringed at the lie before smiling slightly and holding her mothers hand gently, she talked to her and was feeding her information that Alex was giving her and smiled moving away and looking at alex " you better know what you are doing " she said and walked past him sticking her finger in her mouth and watching her mother look around.

Alexan stood by her bed and took her hand again. “Susan has told me about your illness ma’am and I think I can help. It will require me to put my hands on you though, in different areas. I need to be able to touch your joints and muscles for what I need to do. Will you let me do that? There has been experimental research done that has shown benefits in the techniques I perform with regards to your illness.” In truth, Alexan didn’t need to do any of that to sending healing energy into her but it would give her something to focus on while he did his work. He would not be able to cure her blindness today but he could improve her overall health and, in time, it might be enough to reverse the blindness. Her mother seemed to consider his words and finally laughed. “I don’t know if I believe a word you just said young man but if you want to put your hands on me, go right ahead. It can’t make me feel any worse than I already do.” Alexan smiled at her words, then began to massage her arms gently, and then her legs, moving slowly over her body. Each time he touched her, he sent his healing magic into her, linking it to Susan so she’d know what he was doing. His magic entered her body, sliding along her nerves and her blood vessels, encountering and healing any disease it encountered. The more he worked, the more tired he became, and finally he had to stop. As a last effort, he left a little of his healing magic in her, letting it continue to work after he had gone. He stepped back and took her hand again. “I’ve done what I can ma’am. I hope it helps.” Already he could see an improvement in her color.

Her mother sat there baffled and looked towards him before she threw her blankets off and susan rushed over taking her hand gently and looking at her " mama be careful" her mother shooed her away before standing and smiling widly before turning her head " young man... you have saved me and i can live with being blind but thank you.... did you know that Susan paints, she is so good and has her work show cased in a gallery in town.. " susan came forward and smiled " Mother stop, he is a very busy man we have to go" she smiled and lowered her mother down to the bed " don't push yourself you have to recover" she smiled and looked at Alex a very happy look on her face before taking his hand softly " i love you mama" she said and kissed her cheek before stepping back and walking out the door, she wasn't much of one to hang around her mother to much.

Alexan’s eyes widened as her mother virtually threw herself out of the bed and started chattering away. He moved to her side, helping her ease her back into bed. “Susan is right, ma’am. You need to rest now. You feel good now but if you don’t rest, you’ll feel worse. Please rest.” When Susan kissed him, he bent down and kissed the woman’s forehead, sending a touch of magic into her, putting her to sleep. He stood up and immediately swayed a little, catching himself on the bed. He followed Susan into the hallway, pulling her into a hug as soon as they were outside the room. “You’ll need to get us home” he murmured in her ear. “That took the last of my stamina.” His eyes rolled back in his head then and he slumped against her, exhaustion overwhelming him.

She grunted slightly and held him up but her was heavy and that made her fall against the wall slightly and slumped to the floor with him on top of her, she smiled and ran her fingers over his head gently gazing down at him and holding him close to her " and i thought the man was supposed to save the woman" she smiled and kissed his forehead softly before they vanished and landed on his bed, she smiled and held him close laying back slowly and holding him ontop of her letting him rest, she rubbed his back and sighed softly closing her eyes and slowly falling asleep, her own energy just about drained from feeding him alot of it, and keeping him in her arms she slept rather peacefully.

Alexan awoke slowly, wakefulness coming in bits and pieces as his mind slowly reached out to his surroundings, pushing through the fog that was his brain. Awareness of his body came first, tingling sensations sweeping through him until his nerves were on fire. He realized he was lying on something soft and warm and slowly opened his eyes, which widened immediately. He was lying on top of Susan in his bed and from the feel of it, her legs were tangled with his and her arms were around him. He could tell he was clothed so this was an unusual situation to say the least. Her breathing was steady and he did not want to move so he closed his eyes and took stock of his body, letting his senses flow through him. He was still exhausted, his body more tired then he’d ever felt it, and he tried to figure out why. It finally back to him, the battle earlier yesterday and then the healing he’d done on his mom. No wonder he was exhausted! He couldn’t not heal her though; to have the ability to help someone and turn his back on it was just not who he was. The fact that it was Susan’s mom just made it that much more special. Deciding that he wasn’t really fit to get up just yet, and loving the warmth of her body against his, he slowly shifted so that he moved off of her onto the bed. He then curled up against her, his arm wrapped around her waist and drifted back to sleep.

She layed there sleeping and soon rolled over and cuddled close to him he was so warm and easy to cuddle to tho she didn't know it was him till she woke up soon and turned over looking around and yawned looking over at him and smiled seeing him asleep and layed there watching him, she smiled and slowly sat up and then blinked laughing at herself, there was no food in the house they had left it on the street, she sighed softly and looked over at him before getting up slowly and walking out of the room keeping the door open, she walked down the hall and bit her lip slightly before she walked out and teleported to the store, she landed and looked around before staring baffled at the bag on the road, she quickly ran over to them and took all the bags in her arms and quickly went back home landing on the kitchen floor, she sighed and rubbed her face softly before getting up and putting everything away making sure none of it was bad and what was she threw away frowning, she cooked gravy and biscuits along with some sausage and mixed it all up together into two bowls along with two glasses of milk, which she balanced quite well, she smiled and walked into the bedroom and sat down setting her bowl down before blowing the smells to the food towards him and smiled trying to get him to wake up and eat.

His nose twitched once, twice, three times. It was the last one that woke him up and he smelled the aroma before he opened his eyes. Stilling immediately, confused by what he smelled, he slowly cracked an eye open. A bowl rested near his face, hands wrapped around it, and the aroma appeared to be coming from that. He sniffed again, loving what he smelled and finally opened his other eye, letting his gaze travel up until he saw Susan’s smiling face. He returned her smile and suddenly yawned, the noise loud enough to make him laugh. “Sorry about that” he said as he stretched a little. “That smells delicious.” He sat up in bed, reaching out and taking the bowl from her, glancing down. It looked wonderful too. “Thank you for making his for me” he said as he took a bite. “Mmmm, delicious.” He ate for a moment then looked at her. “I’m sorry I slept for so long. Yesterday took a lot out of me.” He paused then as a thought suddenly hit him and he looked down at the food. “Hey, we didn’t have any food in the house. How did you…” he trailed off as he realized what she’d done and his eyes went wide. “Are you crazy?” he asked, his voice low. “That was very dangerous.” He couldn’t be mad at her though, she had done it for him after all so he let a smile grace his lips. “But I’m soooo glad you did. This is heaven.”

She looked away from him and smiled taking her own bowl and sitting there with him eating " i know it was very reckless... but i think im alright i wasn't out for more than 5 minutes and can you believe the food was still there... i swear i don't know the zendac money yet so i wasn't about to be taken advantage of by the store clerk he looked like he would rip somebody off" she said and eat her food and sipping some milk looking up at him " alot of it wasn't bad, i was rather surprised that the eggs kept in this weather" she said and smiled again before taking another bite and pulling her legs up " but im never going out again unless i have you with me... i was scared to death" she looked away and sighed before yawning again and kept eating " i figured you would be hungry after yesterday."

He smiled as she talked, enjoying the food she had prepared and listening to everything she said. “You did wonderful” he said. “Both with getting the food and with making it. I’m a little surprised it was still there also but I guess after the battle, no one wanted to hang around.” Mentioning the battle from yesterday made the thoughts and images replay in his mind and he grimaced. They’d won, again, but he’d been forced to take two lives and their deaths weighed heavily on his soul. “I’m sorry for the destruction I caused yesterday” he said, his face a little bleak at the thought. “I didn’t see another way out of that jam though and we needed to send a message to the higher demons that we will not go lightly.” The thought that they had almost snatched her away from him tore at his heart and he reached out, taking her hand in his gently. “I won’t lose you to them. You have my promise on that.” He squeezed her hand gently and then let it go, resuming his eating. A few moments later, the bowl was empty. “Thank you again for the food. That was delicious. I definitely needed to eat after the all the energy I used yesterday.” He thought of her mom then. “I hope what I did with your mom helps her. I was able to kill a lot of the disease but I don’t know if I got it all.” Fatigue was fast approaching again, his body not fully recovered, and he closed his eyes. “I think I need to rest some more. Would you like to join me?”

She smiled at him and finished her food before kicking her shoes off and removing her button down shirt leaving her in her tank top and jeans, and layed back down with him, gently reaching her arm around and draping it over his waist pulling herself closer to lay her forehead against his collar bone and slowly started to rub his back gently trying to sooth him back to sleep as well as herself , she had a hard time falling asleep tho and it made her turn over to where he back was to his chest but still keeping close because of the warmth, she moved and brought the blankets up and around them and slowly yawned.

He barely stayed awake as she pulled off her button down shirt and joined him on the bed, her hand wrapping around his waist before moving up and massaging his back gently. That steady rhythmic movement was enough to bring on full sleep and he drifted off as she rolled back over and scooted closer, her back to his chest. He wanted to sling his arm around her waist again to pull her even closer but he fell asleep before he could do it, their combined heat pulling him the rest of the way into oblivion. He had no idea how long he slept, nor whether she stayed with him the entire time or not, but he did remember dreaming when he woke up. Dreams of the two of them walking together through a field, eating near a waterfall, feeding the ducks, images like that and so many more. When he awoke, he yawned and stretched, feeling her next to him still.

She stayed asleep this time and wasn't easily woken, she had a content look on her face that wasn't seen everyday, it was one of those deep sleep looks and she was on her back with her arm over her flat stomach and was breathing slowly and calmly, she was dreaming of sitting in a meadow and sketching a squirrel that she was watching everything was sunny and beautiful and the wind whipped through her hair and the grass around her gently, she was content and rather happy before looking up and seeing Alex walking over to her smiling, she would wave and smile back calling him over there, when he sat down and wrapped his arm around her waist kissing her cheek and looking down at her drawing before he morphed into something else something larger and slightly less human , she gazed up and gasped as the demon looked at her with those black eyes and stayed still while he looked down at her " mmmm beautiful susan.... i have been watching you and laughing at your pathetic Alex, he can't protect you forever he will soon wear down and will lose his grip on you..." he reached out and stroked her cheek" you should be with someone who can protect you in threats or battle, just be careful my gem, i will have you soon enough" he smiled an evil smile his teeth looking that of a tigers and disappeared from the now dark meadow, she gasped softly and sat up panting and closing her eyes and rubbing them gently, she curled up slightly and put her head between her legs hugging them and started to cry softly not making any sounds just letting her tears fall.

He didn’t know what woke him but something did as he sat up and stretched. The room was dark and he no longer felt Susan so close to him. Glancing down, he saw that she had curled up, her had between her legs, and appeared to be shivering. He put his hand on her back and felt the wracking movements and realized she was crying. “Susan?” he whispered, his hand reaching out and stroking her hair light. “What’s wrong honey?” He kept stroking her hair, offering what comfort he could. Finally, he pulled her towards him, cuddling her against his chest and just held her. Something had clearly upset her but he didn’t know what. He knew she’d tell him in time.
