Alright, so I thought that in order to make the Timeline a little bit more personalized for the group, I would offer to put up several events from each character's life on the timeline. So, here is what you need to do if you want anything about your character on the timeline:

Send me a list, via PM, of up to five events that took place in your character's history.
Provide the year that the event took place, you can even say what month if you would like.
Try and keep the description of the event brief, no more then three sentences.


There are also a few rules about this.

Do not dictate the events of someone else's character.
Avoid changing canon events directly. You can take part in a canon event, but it will still happen the way it did in the movies/books. E.G. Do not have your character killing Smaug and also finding the One Ring.
Have your events take place before the current year. Nothing dated for after the RP or during.

No they aren't plus my schedule is already nutty, lol. XD But I always worry because I'm prone to cavities despite all I do due to having deep grooves and tightly spaced teeth. And, well, it's been a while since I've had one. So, I fear that fateful visit when they tell me I have one. >.<
 
Hey all!

I have sent a PM to DarkAngel, but was interested in throwing a character into the ring as I can't resist true LOTR settings.

Bucking the elf trend, I was thinking about a male, Lossoth warrior of the Suri-Maja tribe. Perhaps a disaffected third son of the Suri-Maja tribeleader who has fled his tribe in exile. He'll be guarded and suspicious. Perhaps driven to the Fellowship for retribution against his father and because other Lossoth are hostile to him? Perhaps with conflicted loyalties and needed by the Fellowship as a guide/translator.

One question I had, in researching Lossoth, it sounds like they are fairly primitive as a culture. More akin to laplanders/inuits in technology and dress? Is that right... please steer me DA/Kara in the direction you see for their culture.

Firstly, I think it would be nifty to have a character thrown into the mix who is Lossoth of origin and I also think this could add some interesting twists to the overall arc at hand. It would definitely be neat to have this kind of character added to the mix--at least in my own opinion--because it will be one of those things where it will keep you on edge to sort of see how he develops over the course of things (whether known by us and the characters or just us or, hell, just you... lol). But, the point is, seeing a character aligned in this manner that has room to grow and then possibly have the chance of allying himself on either side.....? You can't beat that for drama or for something that is just plain interesting.

Also, your question regarding the Lossoth directly. Yes, they are someone Inuit/Laplander in terms of inspiration. So, you are spot on in that one. :)

Can't wait to see what you have to add with this character. XD *awaits the profile*

Well, the character sounds interesting and it is certainly a break from the elves. I think the character has a lot of possibilities <3 But I'll wait to see it first.
As for technology and dress, I've pretty much imagined them much like Inuits myself. I don't think that observation is overly far from the truth and DA just clarified it so all is well <3

And as to the technology, you are spot on as DA said. But some of their inspiration was also the Sami people of Scandinavia as well.

I hope I've been doing my postings well enough, namely with following the formats fine and such. It's .. incredibly new and interesting to me, which is the main reason I took awhile to post. I wanted to see how it was done by others and make sure I did everything correctly.
 
You're doing great, Lady Yuna! So have no fear! :) So far everyone's posts have been wonderful. I know I'm having a blast and I really cannot wait to see how this story of ours unfolds as a whole and how all our characters just develop in general. No doubt their individual arcs will all be awesome too. XD

But if anyone wants to make someone who is trying to seek Celeste, whether from their own self, her parents, or both I wouldn't mind the concept. So I'm tossing the thought out to anyone, at the very least before I forget it.

And I will keep in mind that you are seeking someone for Celeste! I don't have a relationship set for Mithon yet and I might be making a Lossoth character or something.

What kind of person do you see her being attracted too?
 
@Rivine: Hm ... another elf, half-elf maybe, or human even. I'm not usually picky for the most part. Personality and appearance though ... the most I'd recommend is someone who can put up with her stubborn side and have patience with her.
