Rare Magicks {True Sinner + DontxBlinkk}

When she mentioned his power he glanced at her and shrugged his shoulders as his shields cut off the last little leaks and he was back to his normal self, little to no energy showing. Leaning back against the wall he sighed as he started to feel a bit bored and debated returning home and going to bed early.

"I don't like to flaunt it much. It just comes with age and battles. Unlike witches, a vampire has to seek their power through combat, experience and time. It would be nice if we could read from a book and make potions but it's not our way."

He said as he smiled. Looking up at the sky he heard her question about if it was that easy to get blood all the time and he shook his head.

"With other vampires yes. They see me as a Master Vampire, so feeding me is an honor and a duty to preserve the leadership and the protection a Master Vampire gives. With humans, its so so. It usually requires a bit more work. Not so much in attracting them, but getting them so excited that they don't notice we are feeding from them as well. After a while it just becomes natural."

He said as he sighed and glanced over at her.

"Well, it's been a very interesting night and I thank you for showing me around. I do hope you enjoy the rest of your night, but I must be going. It's about time for me to retire for the night."

Alice gave a short nod with each of his answers, only to give a slight shrug of her shoulders when he mentioned heading home. She probably should as well, as it was getting late and she had some classes to attend the next day. "It was an honour to show you around," she commented, half joking with a smile, standing up from the wall, holding out her hand for a good handshake. "I'll see you soon enough then? Eventually you'll have to come to the shop and actually buy something. Handy to have some potions on your hands, isn't it?" And if anyone in that shop was a potions master, it was Alice.

The witch wasn't exactly ready to settle in for the night, but she could work on her translating for a few hours until she felt it was time to fall asleep. A few more hours and she would be tired. Sleep would be a good thing to fall into at that point and in fact would be welcomed. It had been an interesting and exciting evening, seeing just how much power Alex had... something she'd remember for a while. She smiled and gave a slight bow, knowing that's how he would respond to her. "Have a good evening. And sleep well."

Alex smiled as he nodded and gave her a bow, taking her hand and once again kissing her knuckles. With that he walked around the corner of an alley way and ported himself home where he took a nice long hot shower then settled into his bed and went to sleep for the night.

The next morning Alice's father would pull her out of her class in order to drive her to an old meeting place were several Witches had gathered, mainly old members and some young ones. They were discussing the massive surge of power they had all felt the night before and the discussion got into how there was a new Master Vampire in town. Several witches who knew some vampires had informed the council that this new Master Vampire was a Pure Blood, one of the few surviving ones and a very old one at that. Her father cursed and looked around.

"Does anyone have a clue as to how to fight a Pure Blood? I've heard they have the ability to control an element."
"Only at a certain age. Five hundred I believe."

Said another member when someone else pipped up.

"The vampires say this Master is eight hundred and some change. So he most likely can."
"Shit. Can anyone say if he's looking for us? I know he senses us."

Debate on what to do about this newest threat were being tossed around. Many wanted to just leave Alex alone and stay on his good side by not bothering him, while several others wanted to just play it safe and destroy him. The whole shoot first ask questions later. However the only argument with that was what if no one was strong enough to bring him down.

Alice watched as Alex walked into the alley, a smile playing on the corner of her lips. Once he had left, she made her way back to the shop, taking the back stairs two at a time as she raced back into her one room apartment with glee. The night had gone surprisingly well with no one catching them or bothering them, except for the drunken idiots. But that's something that didn't much matter right now. Drunks were everywhere. And it gave them a reason to split up then as well. When she got inside, her black cat was waiting for her, his yellow eyes peering up at her as if expecting her to be back hours ago. She said a quick apology to Jasper, lifting him up into her arms and carrying him around the apartment, eventually sitting down at the desk in the corner of the living room to work on the books that had been spread out on the table.

After a few hours, she climbed into the shower, tied her hair back in a tight French braid and went to bed, feeling quite content with her day.

------

Classes were going well for the most part the next day. Sitting in front of a computer for close to two hours was boring as ever, but when her father arrived to take her from the classroom, she instantly got worried. Without a word, she slid into the car and went along with him to the gathering place, listening intently to what was going on. Alex, that's what. Of course things couldn't go well for her. She just had to make some sort of issue...

After much discussion, Alice pipped up, hoping someone would listen to her. "He's not coming after us, is he? Then we should leave him alone. Keep an eye out, but don't mess with him. Maybe he'll scoot out of town after a bit..." That seemed like the best plan. Shoot first always evolved into some sort of problem and he doubted any of them wanted to deal with that. "Killing him off would only declare war on the vampires. I don't think any of us want to be saddled with the guilt that we were the ones that started the war. Aren't we waiting for the blood suckers to take the first step?" Then witches all around the world could play victim and muster up some pity while trying to recruit others to their side. That was important to do when dealing with vampires; out number them. Then they would have a better chance. "And that gives us time to gather information on him..."

One of the females, another around her age and fairly powerful, looked at her then at the others.

"We could set aside our differences for a moment and learn about them. I've watched several vampires, they don't every really attack without cause. Mainly they stick to themselves and only feed from humans for the food, but give the human pleasure as well."

A few of the newer aged witches liked that idea, getting to know the enemy, befriending them. Some of the older witches were okay with the idea and a handful of the very old witches hated the idea, but majority ruled in favor of befriending them. It was up to the witch if they wanted to do it or not, but they had to learn and gather information. The witch around her age, Cara, said that she would try and get to know the Master Vampire. She'd seen him once or twice in a cafe that she worked at. He liked Green Tea, the old fashioned green tea.

"He's actually very polite, a complete gentleman. I don't think I've ever seen him in jeans. He's always wearing a suit. He's been in the city close to a month now and he comes to the cafe every other day so I got to know him. Now that we've got this befriending thing going, I can talk a bit more to him. I have noticed that he mainly just keeps the younger vampires in line."

At least the others were agreeing to back off for a while. If the elder witches wanted to avoid him, that was quite alright. The younger ones could work on getting to know him, if not other vampires. It was time for a change after all and who better to do it than the future of the coven.

But as soon as Cara mentioned that she had been seeing Alex in town, something began to rub the young witch the wrong way. She knew she was powerful, just about the same level as Alice herself, but Alice had access to so much more knowledge thanks to her books, which was a well kept secret. She could keep the knowledge to herself until just the right time... Hey, she never said she wasn't selfish when it came to learning. The others would know about it all when the time was right and when the books were translated. Alice figured, since Cara had spoken first, that she could speak up as well.

"Alex actually is a gentleman," she agreed. Using his first name was quite alright. As long as no one got his last name then there was no chance they could work up a spell to control him. Or try to, anyway. "Polite even when attacked. Flora Pennings found that one out the hard way..." Alice began to twist a lock of her hair around her finger as she watched the rest of the group in front of her. "So if anything, he'd be the one to befriend over some of the more rambunctious, younger ones around town."

'Yes, Cara, I know him as well,' she mentally thought. The other witch couldn't get every spot light... it had been a while since Alice had a chance to do anything helpful for the coven, thanks to school. She wasn't going to let the cafe worker have all the fun.

Cara looked over at Alice when she actually used his name and her eyes narrowed a fraction. She didn't really care about the spot light in this matter, but what she did see was a challenge. Getting to be Alex's friend was one thing, getting a bit closer to him and getting a more intimate knowledge of him was another. Luckily, Alice was a book worm in a half and she had little to no experience with men. She didn't know how to flaunt her body in a seductive but sensual way. At least not to her knowledge.

As the meeting broke apart Cara was outside smoking a cigarette and looked over at Alice as she walked out. She simply smiled a bit and winked at her as she held up her cell phone and showed that she had Alex's number in her phone.

"See this is where talking about something other than books and knowledge comes in handy. He is a gentleman and he is very well refined but at the end of the day Alice...he's a man, and men have certain needs."

She said with a giggle as she walked off and headed for her car, texting to someone, most likely Alex.

-----------------------------

Alex was sitting in his home as he got the text from Cara asking if he'd like a green tea on the house. Naturally he wasn't going to turn that down. Cara was actually quite good at making the old fashioned green tea and he rather enjoyed her conversations. Mainly just talking about the newer age, she'd shown him a few good 'dives' to go to. She was a bit more forward about things which was a good and a bad thing depending on the situation. Telling her he'd meet her there in a few minutes he dressed in a black pin stripped suit with a white undershirt and a crimson red tie. After that was done he drove himself to the cafe she worked at and arrived around the same time she seemed to be there.

She seemed a bit more happy, which as he asked her about it she just said that she got some good news from her parents and she felt a bit more liberated then usual. Not pushing that any farther he simply sat at the table and watched her as she made the tea.

Alice's eyes narrowed as soon as the other witch turned her back on her. That bitch. Cara didn't know it yet, but she had just declared war on Alice and this raven haired witch had more up her sleeve than she cared to show. The blonde wouldn't know what hit her. And hopefully Alice would get out on top of this. For the power, of course... yeah, that was it. Not because Alex was an attractive gentleman. Oh god no.

Who was she kidding... Alice knew that was a good, solid reason why she was after him. She just hadn't realized she was until just then. She got her father to drive her back into the city and straight to her apartment. Her class was over by then and she would have to make up the work later. Now though, she had a bit of work to do, trying to settle herself before she bothered to go looking for Alex. Dammit, this was going to be difficult. She knew she should have given him her number last night...

---------------------

Cara brought the tea towards her 'date' and took a seat with her own cup, a smile sitting sweetly on her lips. "So how as your day been so far?" she asked, bringing the cup to her lips for a sip, blue eyes dancing over the man across from her. "I hope a bit of tea will help to brighten it up."

Alex looked over at Cara as he took a sip of the tea and felt it travel down to his stomach, the warmth coating his throat and pooling in his stomach which was a very pleasant feeling as the green tea calmed his nerves and gave him a reminder of the old days. Looking up at her as she asked about his day he smiled and set the cup down as his own canary yellow eyes focused on hers.

"My day has been alright, a bit slower then I would like. It's a very boring duty that I have and while there are plenty of vampires here in the city, since I've arrived they have all kept their noses clean. Which is a good thing, but it leaves me sitting at home watching the pain wear off of the walls. So I'm simply occupying my days with wondering around and exploring the city. A few of my subjects have told me to look into a place called G-spot. A very odd name for a business."

He said as he obviously had no clue that the place they were telling him to look into was a well known strip club for VIP members of society. You had to have some serious cash to get in there...or be the Master vampire since a lot of the dancers, staff and the owner were all vampires.

Cara eyed him slightly before her smile grew into a grin, setting her cup down. "G-spot's an odd business," she told him with a bit of a laugh, leaning forward on the table. "It's a high class gentleman's club of the stripping variety." Cara leaned onto her elbows, looking the man over, crossing one leg over the other beneath the table. "Apparently they put on good shows for those who get a chance to go there. I mean, why wouldn't they? Half naked women parading around is always a good thing, isn't it?" She smiled again, allowing her foot to lightly touch Alex's leg beneath the table, gently rubbing against his calf of his leg. "You'd probably enjoy going there. And you'd fit in perfectly with the VIP members of the city as well."

She let her gaze trail down to the table for a moment, her touch sliding against his pants leg just a bit more before meeting his eyes once again. "I was thinking though, tonight... You're still new and I haven't had a night out in a while. Would you like to visit a club in town? It's called Immortal." She gestured out the front window towards the club that sat just a block away. "I could invite a few friends, you could bring some of your subjects... It would be fun, don't you think? A night out, music, pumping beats." Her foot lingered against his outer leg for a second before traveling around the front to his inner calf. She let her voice drop to a private volume, leaning in slightly with a seductive look in her eyes and in her voice. "Grinding, sweaty bodies... blood pulsing..."

As Alex listened to her explain the business he rolled his eyes as he shook his head letting her know that he wasn't too fond of that idea but as she started to bring up the idea of him joining her at the club he'd been interested in. As he listened to her, he also felt her foot along his calf and while he normally wouldn't have jumped onto that horse, he hadn't done anything really enjoyable or for himself so he just smiled at her and focused his eyes on her as he took a sip of his tea.

"Or we could just go together. I'm not too friendly with the coven members in the way you're talking about. Besides, I'd like to just spend time with you, so I can focus on you."

He said as he smiled at her and raised an eyebrow. He knew what she was doing but apparently this good news she'd been told had something to do with her being a bit more forward with him since she hadn't been like this the last time he saw her.

"So what's with the sudden change? The day before you spoke to me, and shared some ideas, but that was it...nothing like this today."

Standing up he walked around the table, planted his hands on either side of her and leaned into her neck as his fangs ran along her skin gently.

"So what changed?"

The blonde smiled, quite pleased with herself. That's fine, if he wanted to go to the club with her, then she'd accept that even more than with going with friends. As the man came around the table, she leaned back in her seat, her eyes carefully sliding closed as he began to touch her skin. She tensed slightly when his fangs touched her neck, but she remained silent, quickly calming herself as he continued to touch.

"My parents have changed their mind on a few things," she told him softly, the smile growling on her lips. "Letting me out more, for one." That was a joke and it was shown by her sudden smirk and a slight rise of her pulse. "Whole family has relaxed their leash a bit, if you get the hint." Not to mention she was getting a chance to anger another coven member. She was winning and she knew that would bother Alice to no end. But she wasn't about to tell Alex that. At least not yet... The jump of her heart signaled that something more might be underneath her motives, but just as a side step. "I just have a chance to relax again."

She glanced over her shoulder to look at the man, breaking into a slow growing grin. "And with you, to make it better."

Alex smiled at her as he nodded and stood up walking back to his seat as he sat down and looked at her.

"So what time would you like me to pick you up my dear?"

He asked as he finished up his tea and the two of them spoke a bit more before they parted ways. Alex simply went on a walk to get a feel for the city and see the people that were in it. As he continued on his walk he caught the scent of Alice near him and raised an eyebrow as he noticed that it was a good distance from her shop as well as any potential libraries. So he simply followed the scent and found her out for a walk. Smiling a bit he simply walked up behind her and followed her without saying a word to see how long it would take her sixth sense to kick in and notice him.

The woman smiled as soon as Alex sat back down. "How about nine?" she asked, tipping her head slightly, finishing off her tea. "Just in time for the club scene to get started." She waited around with him, discussing whatever came to their minds along with several strong bits of flirting. Cara was a bit saddened when the man decided to leave early, but she didn't stop him, needing to head home anyway to get some things done. But she promised to text him.

Alice on the other hand had finished her bit of work and got out of her apartment as soon as she could. She picked up a few things from the shop below and took them all out, earplugs set in her ears as she walked towards the nearest park, wandering down one of the long walking paths. In her hand, she held a bunch of sage, running her fingers over the ends, eyes closed, a soft hum coming from between her lips. People were passing her for most of her walk so at first, having another person come up behind her wasn't something to note. But when the feeling remained and the person got closer, she cracked her eyes open, pausing for a second before cracking a smile.

"Hello Alex." She glanced back over her shoulder, her smile growing. "So guess what happened today."

Alex smiled as he noticed that she finally got a feeling and when she spoke he chuckled and nodded to her, giving her a small bow before coming up along side of her and raising an eyebrow to what she asked. He watched her for a moment to see if she'd tell him but when she didn't he smiled.

"What?"

He asked as he walked with her and took a look over the items she was carrying then raised an eyebrow. Sage was an odd thing to be carrying. Then again he didn't know much about magic, only how to deflect certain things or send it back to the wielder which was always amusing to watch since they never expected a vampire to be able to do that.

"My coven has so graciously decided that they will allow you to live in the city," she told him with a smile and a laugh. "Some of us younger witches actually convinced to elders that it was a good idea to not go after you right away. So congratulations, you don't have to watch your back for us." He could believe it or not believe it, that was up to him, but she felt that was an important piece of information to extend to him. An olive branch of sorts. A sign of peace. Alice reached into her pocket to pause her music, removing her earbuds from her ears to tuck them into the collar of her slim cut shirt. She didn't expect to see him today or she would have dressed nicer than a pair of jeans, hoodie and running shoes. Oops. This wasn't a way to impress him like she wanted to. Cara was already so far ahead of her...

She noticed he was eyeing the sage and offered it out to him for a moment. "I lost track of a familiar last night," she told him with a hesitant laugh. "He went out last night but I haven't heard from him since. Jeeves loves the smell of sage so I thought maybe this would lure him back in..." She glanced up into the trees in front of her, lining the entrance to the woods. "Have to find him before the hawks do. Bats are very temperamental creatures, did you know that? Cats are far easier to deal with." She tapped the sage back against her hand before gesturing towards the woods.

"Care to join me? Or are you going to run off again like last time?" 'Oh please don't. Pleeease don't...'

Alex smiled as he looked at her then to the entrance to the woods. Looking at his watch it was only about five in the evening so he nodded and followed her into the woods. However as they walked, not thinking anything of it, he just struck up a conversation.

"Hmm, it's interesting that you tell me your Coven is deciding to be nice with me. Cara, I'm assuming is a member of your Coven, she's invited me to Immortal's tonight. She's also be much more flirtatious with me today then she has been this entire month. I found it a bit odd. However, I've been meaning to look into this club so it was an interesting offer. Is there anything I should be aware of with her?"

He asked as he could almost feel the heat coming off of her which was actually a bit confusing to him. He was curious why she was getting a bit...angered...is what it felt like. However he wasn't going to jump to conclusions. He just watched her body language and decided to pay attention to the tone of her voice. Those two things would tell him what he wanted to know.

Alice seemed to be content with things until Cara's name was brought up. Instantly she tensed, a foul look crossing her features. Though she tried to hide it from Alex, it was difficult to when the man was walking right beside her. He had assumed correctly but her actions, while not surprising, set her on edge even more so. Of course she invited him to Immortal. That was Alice's plan as well, but that blonde always had a way of stepping in and stealing things from her. Coincidences didn't happen that often... She'd have to check herself for curses when she got home. Just in case.

"Cara is a member of it," she agreed with a short nod, keeping her words just as short. Snappy even. But she continued on, planning on warning Alex of just what sort of woman this 'Cara' was, trying not to exaggerate or let her own feelings come in to her description. "She's sweet," she continued, hands tightening around the bundle in her hand. "Flirty, charismatic, manipulative at times, but one of those girls who hides it, you know? You've probably run into that sort of girl before." A she-devil in disguise, according to Alice. But she kept that silent. Hopefully her aggravation wasn't coming through too much. "Careful. She'll chew you up and spit you back out. She's done it to every other guy she's ever been with." The sage began to lightly smoke in her hand, filling the area around them with the pleasant scent mixed with bits of rage. Yeah, Alice was failing at this 'keep calm' task.

"She'll love going to the club though! Plenty of men to grind on. Make you jealous. Parum canis conniving..." Her words faded off to a dull mutter as she spoke the last few in latin. Most of the time, people didn't pick up on that sort of thing, but then again, most of them weren't ancient vampires either. Her anger was starting to come through and Alice was just now realizing it. He released her one hand from the sage, quickly looking at what she had done, hoping to distract herself enough to calm down. "I'm sorry. I mean... she's great. I hope you have fun tonight. She's a huge party goer and is amazing at going after what's in men's pants. You'll enjoy her. She's quite experienced."

Alice instantly winced. She felt she had gone too far at that last comment.

Much of which Alice was saying were just rumours, but there was a good chunk of it that was true. She had let her anger get the better of her and wouldn't be surprised if Alex ran off after such an outburst. As much as Alice wanted him to stay, even without taking the bet into consideration, she knew she had probably screwed up her chances. Alex was a gentleman after all. Not some college boy looking for gossip or a lay. Cara was winning... in more ways than one.

Alex watched and listened. He noticed the anger in her tone, the way her emotions were going everywhere but all points were leading to rage. As he listened to her and caught the faint scent of burning Sage he was about to simply thank her and hope she'd get off of her rant but upon her next comment he stopped dead in his tracks as a blast of cold air shot out of him.

'She's a huge party goer and is amazing at going after what's in men's pants. You'll enjoy her. She's quite experienced.'

Alex just stared at her for a moment and growled low, this time it was a warning growl. Standing up straight he fixed his tie and took a moment to control his own feelings then calmly spoke but there was a hint of venom in his words.

"Alice. I've been around for a very...very long time and been with many females. Going out with Cara was not to have sexual interactions, it was because I've been doing nothing but dealing with my Coven's problems and had no real time for me to enjoy a night. I enjoy talking with Cara as I enjoy talking with you, but if you EVER assume that the only reason I am speaking to either of you is to get lucky...it will be the last conversation you have with me. I suggest you let this nice cool air do you some good. Investing in a filter between your brain and your mouth is highly advised."

He said as he simply shook his head and turned around, leaving her in the woods to find her little familiar and cool off.

"That's her plan!" Alice yelled after the man as he began to walk away, making sure it was loud enough that he couldn't miss it unless he was deaf. She let her eyes fall then close, seriously debating about looking into a filter just as the man had suggested. The witch ran her fingers through her hair, tugging on it lightly before turning to walk further into the woods in search for her partner. Cara's words echoed through her head as she walked, replaying over and over again. 'He's a man, and men have certain needs.' If that wasn't proof of what she was after, Alice didn't know what was. As she walked, she began to sprinkle bits of the sage ash around the forest, adding to the scents that were already there. She pushed on, walking along the path in search for the small fruit bat, letting the entire day play out through her mind.

"Boring. Boring. Typical. Worrying. Good. Boring. Great. Horrible," she muttered to herself, going through each major even that had happened so far. Alice was figuring that she could write out Alex from her list of possible friendships after what she had said. He himself had pretty much stated that their chance of conversing was over. This didn't seem to be a three strikes you're out sort of situation. "Good job, Alice. Way to screw up again." She knocked over a log and sighed, watching as it landed against a patch of leaves beside it. "Come on, Jeeves, I want to go home... just come back now."

Her eyes wandered up towards the canopy, as if maybe the bat was waiting just above her head. But there was nothing but leaves. What was she thinking? Her luck had been horrible so far. "Fine. We'll do it your way. Get your furry butt back home by dinner and I'll give you a watermelon, you winged rodent!" She threw her hands up into the air, almost loosing the last of the sage bundle as she did so. Now she was yelling at the animals that were closest to her. The ones who swore they would never leave her no matter what. In one final bout of rage, she crumpled up the sage in her hand, burnt it and tossed it into the chilly wind.

"Word filter," he mumbled, shoving her hands into the pocket of her hoodie, turning to start out of the forest and back to her home. "Great idea, stupid. Gotta work on that now..."

Alex had heard her last little jab but ignored any retort. He knew she was young and that she was angry about something. So he decided to give her a few days to cool off then he'd go back and see if anything changed. However, for today he was now home where he took a shower, cleaned up and put on a black suit, black under shirt and canary yellow tie to go with his eyes. As he fixed himself up he ported himself to the Coven manor and checked on a few of the main house occupants and just got to know some of the members.

When it got close to the time for him to pick up Cara he ported home and drove his gun metal grey Hyundai Genesis Coupe to the place that Cara had requested he pick her up. Her apartment apparently. When he got to the door he stood there for a moment and thought over what Alice said about Cara. Well, he'd get a good idea of her intentions for tonight just based on what she wore. Knocking on the door he stood there and waited.

Cara had been looking forward to that evening since Alex had agreed to go with her. Most of her day was spent getting ready for it, in fact, from showering to curling her hair in just the right away, all before she shimmied into her form fitting dress. The last hour was spent applying just the right make up and painting her lips up, finishing just in time for a knock to come from the door. The blonde paused, looking towards it before smiling, looking herself over once more in the large bathroom mirror. Her jade green dress fell to her mid thigh area, cut close to her body and running up her sides and over her arms. It was low cut, which helped to exaggerate her full C cup chest, with several holes along the sleeves and sides, all placed in strategic areas to show skin. Not to mention all the skin that was showing on her back. Low cut, almost to her hips with just enough on the sides to hold it onto her. And with a bit of well placed body glitter to add the final touch in the club, Cara was ready to go.

She opened the door with a cheery, deep red lipped smile. "Right on time," she pointed out, setting her black high heels onto the ground in front of her to slid her feet into. They gave her just enough lift to bring her almost to Alex's height. Almost. There were still a few inches between them, angling the two of them at the perfect point so he could get a good look at her if he felt the need. She picked up her small purse and slid out the door, locking it behind her. She shrugged her shoulders slightly, her eyes sparkling with excitement and eagerness. "This should be fun," she purred, following the man out to his car. "Haven't been to a club like Immortal in a while. Not since I left school."

When the door opened he had to admit Cara was certainly desirable in her looks, how she presented herself and her chose in clothing. The heels gave her enough lift to be close to his height and it made her calves and her backside much more defined. Still he offered her a smile and gave her hand a kiss.

"You look beautiful my dear."

He said as he took her arm and led her to the car. Once she was inside he drove her to the club parking lot and parked the car in a spot fairly close to the club. Getting out with her he walked with her to the club and was about to stand in line with her but the vampires in line all ushered him and her to the front out of respect for him. When he got there the bouncer, a massive male vampire, bowed to him and allowed him and her in without paying and handed him a card to the VIP floor. When they got there it was a huge area with benched cushion seats, their own table, a mini bar and good section of dance floor.

Alex was obvious a bit surprised by the hospitality of his kind and how they had allowed him these luxuries but he was grateful at the same time. When the waitress came over she offered him two glasses of their finest wine and smiled.

"Sir Raven, owner of the club would like to welcome you, Master Alexander and his guest, to Immortal."

Alex smiled as he took a glass and thanked her then asked her to thank Raven for him as he looked at Cara to see if she'd take the wine which was pretty much a gift so not taking it would be rude.

Cara followed along behind the man, smiling as they were ushered into the club ahead of the rest. She knew that hanging around Alex would get her places and into the club was a perfect example. She looked over the VIP floor, her smile only growing. It was true, she hadn't been to a club since she left school, but the place looked more like the lower area of the club; beats, crowds of people, a few bars scattered on either side of the dance floor, and just a select few places to sit, most of which were taken a majority of the time. This one floor was far better than she had ever imagined it would be. They had their own bar, their own very comfortable seating and of course a dance floor. She'd be able to see how vampires move now, to see if their grace was only a rumour of if it was honest truth. The rest of them seemed to be so why not that one?

When the waitress came over, Cara's attention was drawn to her, smiling sweetly and taking the wine after Alex had his. She gave a small, polite nod and let her eyes trail to the man who had gotten her this far into the club. She held it up a few inches towards him. "To a good night," she toasted.

Alex nodded to her toast and smiled at her as he toasted with her then took a sip of the wine and smiled a bit. It was very good wine. Just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of dryness to it. He'd certainly have to thank the owner for this wine, as well as ask him where he got it so that he himself could stock up on some. After toasting her with the wine he looked at her and leaned back a bit against the chair.

"So I have to ask, what is the issues between you and Alice? She seemed very unhappy about the fact that I was coming here with you. Is there some bad blood between you two?"

The reason why Alex had no issues asking about their little hated relationship was because vampires didn't hide feelings towards one another. There were no subtle hints of hatred. If there was hate between two beings, it was known right out front. The customs were very different among vampires to humans. As he looked at her he noticed a few other couples in the VIP room were up and dancing so he took her hand and led her to the dance floor.

"I'm a bit unfamiliar with the dancing of today, but I'll follow your lead. I still want to know why you two dislike one another, you can just inform me while dancing."
