The Sword and The Rose. ((Kolath x Butterfly))

"Ahh!" she cried out, worried for a heartbeat that her sounds may somehow echo up into the castle. She thought much of the same things that he did. How life didn't seem to be fair for them and their life. Then again, the small amount of time they had with one another only made moments like this so desperate that the passion was just intense and made her feel like this was not only there last chance to be with one another but the last night of the world itself. For nothing else mattered but her husband. Her wanting hips moved to thrush against him.

He groaned deeply kissing and sucking at her breasts rubbing them with his skilled hands. He thrust deep and hard into her taking her wildly passionately like they would never have another moment together. he knew the dangers he was going into and knowing those only made him need his wife more, because the dangers weren’t just those of him being killed but also those of him coming back wounded and unable to be with his wife in a fit of passion like this again and that would be worse then death for them both.

"Look at me..." she groaned a little bit between her panting, taking her hand and lifting his chin to look up at her. She was looking at the man she had fallen in love with once, and knowing the man she had fallen in love with a second time was behind the mask, his deep dark beautiful blue eyes meeting her own. So intense. So passionate. And only for her. She smiled a little and kissed him again, nipping at his lower lip at the end of the kiss.

He kissed her deeply at the same time as thrusting into her hard and deep passion filling every action that they took together. he panted and moaned softly kissing her back pressing close against her while his hips moved hard. “I love you Terra.” he moaned against her lips as his hands brushed down her sides grabbing her hips and using the new position to thrust deeper and harder into her. it was almost like they were back in the woods making love before all the problems happened with him lying to her…like the last few months hadn’t happened at all and they were still just as in love as before.

They were just in love as before. It never truly ended, their love. It just ran into some problems along the way and now was back again, strong, passionate, and wild. Just like he was being. Terra pressed her head back against the pillar she was against, holding his shoulders firmly as she moaned, getting lost in the sensations his cock plunging into her wet hot heat brought her. It made her light head and filled her heart. "I... I love you... I love you so much!" she told him as the passion threatened to overcome her fully.

He groaned softly against her neck panting hard as he felt the need to finish rising up inside of him quickly. His cock swelled inside her tight wet pussy as he thrust inside of her holding her close their wild passion catching up to them as he moaned and thrust deep into her. in one final rush he thrust in and held himself there cumming hard filling her with his seed in long hot jets. He panted and moaned against her neck till he had totally emptied himself inside her.

"Nathan! Oh God!" she cried out as she felt his hot cum filling her. She was on the edge already, but that just pushed her over it. Enjoying a moment to just feel him loosing it inside her, before she too spiraled out of control and her already tight walls clamped around his cock in it's own orgasmic bliss. By the time is passed, she was so weak her legs went limp and were soon touching the ground again, unable to lock around his waist any longer.

He panted hard still holding her close before slipping his softening cock out of her and pressing his fore head against hers. He held her up with his arms around her sides and his body close against hers. He rubbed her sides slowly not wanting to leave her as they both came down from their orgasms. He sighed deeply reaching down and pushing his cock back into his pants buttoning them back up. Leaning in close he kissed her deeply making sure she could support herself before stepping back holding her hands lightly. “I love you Terra. I will come back soon.”

She had taken a moment while he was putting himself into his pants once again to put her own breasts away thought the laces still hung loose while he took her hands once again. Hers tightened a moment as she smiled, "I know, but you just do what you must for the good of the people that need you to be the hero you are."

He smiled and kissed her hands softly looking back into her eyes. “I will, and then I will come home and be the husband that I am meant to be.” He drew her close kissing her deeply. “To the wife that I have been fortunate enough to love.” He smiled before drawing her over to the horse and climbing up holding his hand out to her once again. “I love you Terra.” squeezing her hand once more he released it and then rode off into the setting sun stopping only once on a hill that he could see the highest tower from and letting his sword flash in the sun before turning and racing toward the place he was to meet Jacob and the prince.

The moment his horse was away, Terra wondered... she swiftly but carefully raced back up the passage into his room. In the mean time she laced up her dress again. Back in the castle, she ran to the tower and climbed up, glancing out, wondering if she'd catch a sight of him. For a few long moments, she saw nothing and her heart was a bit disappointed. Then, a shining light caught her attention and she looked off and smiled, knowing it was him saying goodbye one more time.

Nathan rode to the meeting place and the entire force of the Black Fox got underway heading for the southern castle where the king was being held. They moved as fast as they could covering clear ground without stopping to rest; Stopping only in forests that could conceal them from prying eyes. They soon had covered the distance and were assaulting the castle.

Their plan was perfect and within two days they were inside the castle and dealing with the last defenders. It was good that they had been so quick because the army of the ‘king’ was heading to support the castle. They were in and out of the castle in less than though that might have been unwise. They had rescued the king but he was very weak. Two days after they had retreated from the castle the king died.

Before his death the king was able to write with the help of Nathan a farewell letter both to his son and one to the kingdom. He bore his death coming well and inspired every man of the Fox’s force to retake the kingdom, for the son of a man that could behave thus even at the point of death, would make a great king even if only a small part of his father was in him.

The group returned to the camp nearly two months after having left. they were all road worn and battle weary. Nathan still had to tell the prince that his father was dead, though the prince took it hard it had been a option that had been discussed and the letter from his father helped ease the pain.

Nathan had laid down to take a much needed sleep even though he was missing Terra’s warm body against his it had been all he could do to make it back to camp. She would understand one more night apart. Middle of the night the prince woke him, a grim look on his face, “Nathan…” he held a letter in his hand baring Nathan’s signet. Nathan looked up worried, “What is it?”

News of the king's demise had not reached Terra yet. The regent's men did first.

It started a normal day. Like every day as they. The winter had come on not long after Nathan was away. She hoped that Nathan's mission would not be hindered by the chilling weather and threat of snow to fall any day. The snow was just lightly falling when the call came up from the watch town that horses were approaching, many and fast. They flew the chest of the regent.

Terra did not know what the reason for this small army to come knocking on their door was, but she went to her room and quickly donned a dress worthy a duchess greeting important guests.

She was there as the horses came into the courtyard. The lead rider, a large man dismounted, and took a moment to pull something from his saddle bag. A sealed letter. He eyed Terra and approached. The cold look in his eyes made her chilled to the bone. She greeted him with a polite bob but before she could speech, he spoke first, "You are the Duchess of Mount Point?"

"I am my lord..."
"Belvar. I am the Earl of Belvar. You husband... why does he not come to greet me?"
Terra had heard the name before, but could not place it at the moment. "You must pardon my husband Lord Belvar, but he is not at home. He has gone to handle some business for a distant relative and I fear he may not return home before the snow falls, though I have hope still. I can assist you in his place."
"This would have been easier to speak with you husband first, but I cannot wait for the man. My lady, it is you I have come here seeking."
"Me?" Terra asked, looking genuinely shocked as he told her that. "What do you want with me?"
"I am afraid, my lady, I have come to arrest you by order of the regent."

Terra's face went pale as the gasps of the loyal servants around her gasped in the same shock she was in at that moment. "Arrested? Under what charges?"

He help the papers up though did not hand them to her, "Treason against the crown. You have been accused of working against the crown hand in hand with the criminal the Black Fox. The Black Fox is responsible for the death of the prince and now word has come that the Fox has killed the king himself."

"That's a lie!" Terra could not help herself from bursting out. "The Black Fox would never kill the king!"
The earl held up a hand to stop her, "My lady, it is best you say no more. You are innocent until you are proven guilty but I must take you to be held until such a time. You can come quietly as a royal prisoner or I will have to take you by force like a common criminal. You maid may pack you a few things. You are still a duchess and will be treated as such, I promise. Is there a man I can leave this message with for you husband."

"Arnold?" Terra looked about, still in shock, for the one man she thought could help her through this horrible twist of her fate.

Arnold was at her elbow as always when things were going perfect and the arrival of armed men defined that. As she spoke his name he stepped forward moving as was his duty slightly between Terra and the Earl. “I am the dukes servant sir and as such I demand that you show me those papers as the duke’s representative in his absence.” It was a bold statement for a servant to make but perfectly within the right accorded to him as the master of the house staff.

The Earl raised an eyebrow for a moment before handing him the paper. Several of the men servants were moving forward gently moving the women back all of them ready to defend the duchess if these men proved to not be who they claimed or Arnold gave the word.

Arnold read of the paper carefully before looking back at the Earl. “A moment my lord, the Lady will be with you shortly.” He turned his back on the Earl gently taking Terra’s arm and guiding her back inside. Once out of ear shot he stopped. “My lady…it is official, this is a order for your arrest on the grounds of treason. But you don’t need to worry, I and the other men will not let them take you. You will need to hurry out the back passages and into the woods heading for the great oak where you will be safe.” He was doing what he was sure Nathan would want him too.

Terra took a moment and then shook her head, "Sarah," she called over his shoulder and the maid came running, worry on her face as she waited her orders, "Go and pack three dresses and a warm night dress for me. Two comfortable dresses and one more formal if I should be called to face the regent himself." The maid was off in a flash and Terra looked to Arnold again, her reply already clear, "I will not let you put you and your men's lives in danger for my one. If I resist them, they could very well take control of the whole castle and the land. I won't put so many in danger. I have not done anything wrong and they don't seem to suspect anything about the link between Nathan. I will not risk putting his secret in any danger. I will go as an innocent lady caught up in a misunderstanding and it's best you get word to Nathan when you can that he should act the same as the duke. Don't let him try some crazy attempt to break me out."

Arnold was shocked when she started to prepare herself to leave with them men. He was about to object when she spoke to him again. Unlike Nathan Arnold was older and had much more world experience and so could see what Terra was meaning. He sighed and shook his head slowly “Your husband would not be so easy to convince.” He sighed and bowed deeply too her. “My lady will you write him a letter that I will send him a letter and let your hand, the prince, and Jacob do the convincing my lady?” He then turned and began was he was best at, preparing for a lord or lady to leave. He knew the orders that needed given and the papers she needed to sign. Within the hour everything was ready for her to leave the Earl and his men having been made comfortable in the mean time.

"I will," she told Arnold before going back out to welcome them in while she handled the matter at hand. They understood and let her be since she had given her word and thought her good on it.

When she had a moment, she snuck to the office to write Nathan a letter. "My darling Nathan, I'm sure that Arnold will be sending his own letter along with mine so I do not know what you do and do not know yet as you read this. First, know I love you. Second, I have been arrested for treason. By the time this letter reaches you, I will likely have been delivered into the regent's hands. I have been accused of working with the Fox against the crown. And the Fox is accused of killing the king. You and I both know neither of these are the truth. I refused to let Arnold defend me while I escaped, do not blame him for my departure. It is of my own choice. Please Nathan, I know you want to come get me not matter what the cost right now, but think with your head and not with your heart. You know of my innocence. If you must come for me, come as the level headed lord that you are."

She was careful to never call him the Fox in her note. Keeping his identity secret was important in this matter.

"Nathan, I love you. I love you with all my heart. I always have and always, but please.... think my love. Just thinking before any action this one time. For me. I love you. - Yours, Terra"

She sealed the message and gave it to Arnold after she donned a warm traveling dress and heavy traveling cloak. Within the hour, her few belongings for an extended stay were packed and her horse prepared. Rested, the earl and his men waited on their horses for her. Arnold was there to help her mount up. "Don't let him be stupid Arnold. I will not let him die trying to save me. If the king is dead..." she trailed off, feeling that the rest of it was known.

Once upon her horse, she was followed on all sides by the earl's men as they rode away, the snow still gently falling to the ground as they vanished in to the white snow.

“SHE”S WHAT?!!” Nathan was out of bed in a instant grabbing for his sword belt which he found was missing. The prince held up the missing item before handing him not the sword but two notes. The first was unsealed and written in Arnold’s hand. It explained simply what happened and the wish for Nathan to see to the Duchess’s safety first and foremost since he could handle the day to day running of the castle.

The second was Terra’s note still sealed and the prince gave Nathan time alone to read that one. Nathan dropped back to the bed his head in his hands as he tried his best to slow down and think rather than rush of to save her. she wanted him to think and use his head to rescue her. he worked over in his mind slowly everything that had to be taken into account. No matter how dumb he might be where it came to women and what to tell them there was nothing wrong with his knowledge of tactics.

He considered every possible variable and thought through everything that could happen in the mean time. There was only one plan that came out the best for everyone. The identity of the Fox had to be protected in case it was ever needed again in the future for some use of the prince. The prince needed to retake his throne.

There was so much information that was needed to be retrieved for this to go right and there was so little time to do it. he stood up and went out to see the prince and Jacob preparing the men to march on the regents castle. He stopped them and after ordering all the men to stand down and prepare for a long winter by stocking up on food, he pulled the prince and Jacob aside and laid out his plan. It considered everything with contingencies based of different actions the regent could take. However the first thing that had to happen was for Nathan to go see Terra.

As Terra was taken to the Regent's castle right in the middle of the capital city, she could not help but worry that Nathan was going to not listen to her message and come trying to get her. She was thankfully she was actually locked into her cell with her belongings. Her being here meant Nathan was safe somewhere. It was not a horrible cell to have to reside in. It was one made for noble prisoners clearly for it held many comforts including a single bed with blankets and a pillow as well as a small table and chair. There was a small window she could look out and see she was on a higher floor. She doubted she'd be able to fit through it if rescue tried to come that way. Hopefully it would not.

Soon after, a strange summons arrived telling her she would dine with the regent that evening. The guard we nice enough to give her the privacy to change she asked for and within a few hours of her arrival, she was brought to see the regent. Not knowing what this was going to turn out to be like... she was a little worried to say the least.

Despite his age the regent was a well formed man. His body was toned and lean well muscled almost like a older form of Nathan. Unlike so many other nobles he had not let years of idleness pass destroying his body and mind. He wore a rapier at his side and his cloak was back off his fighting arm making it clear that he was a swordsman.

As she walked into the small dining room he smiled and stood. He took her hand kissing the back of it softly. “Lady Terra thank you for joining me this evening. Please!” he motioned to a chair gently but firmly guiding her to it and pulling it out for her. “I’m sorry that this is necessary but you know we must be careful in this trying times.”

It was not like she had any choice in joining him, but she did not say it. Terra was ever the lady as she took her seat, "Thank you," she told him, referring to him pulling out her chair for her. "But you must forgive me, my lord, for I do not understand why I am here. I have been accused of working with the Black Fox. Forgive my my lord, but that is a terrible lie. I was a captive of the Fox, not one of his followers. Far from it."

The regent smiled and standing behind her after pushing her chair back in for her he took a moment to attempt to look down the front of her dress. He had seen her before when her parents had bothered to take her to one of the balls which wasn’t often. Since the last time he had seen her she had become a much more beautiful and desirable woman then before. “I fear that we only have your word for that. And many of the nobles under the leadership of your husband say otherwise.” he walked back around to sit at a chair not far from her. “They say you had a visit even in your own home from the Fox. Why is that my lady? Would he risk his life for a captive? I think not.”

She did not notice him eying up her goods at all as he took his seat. Having thought that the one time with the Fox might come up now, she had already thought about this. "I had taken something from his camp without him knowing it. There was a night while he was sick I was not being watched. I traveled along the creek nearby and marked some of the landmarks on a scrap of paper. I had meant to turn it over to Nathan to then turn it to the proper authorities, but somehow he uncovered I had it and came to take it from me. It was one time and only one time. My husband's guards did not let me explain, but Nathan did and pardoned me of any crimes on the spot. I have not seen, spoken, or heard from the criminal since then."

The regent smirked and shook his head slowly. “Well I’m sure that your husband will be her before too long to explain all that.” The servants came in and placed several plates of food in front of them and he served her. After they were alone again he smiled. “Until your husband comes and agrees with your story I will be keeping you here on suspicion of treason. And should the Fox show up instead of your husband. Well I fear that you will have to be killed on the spot.” He took a bite of some of the mutton and chuckled softly, “You see my dear there is so much more going on here then you can even imagine.”

After him saying THAT to her... how could she possible eat. "What? You can't just...." she was flabbergasted by his bold statement said so casually. "I am innocent. And furthermore, innocent until PROVEN guilty. To kill me you would need to have a trial and a sentencing before the deed could be done. My husband and my family would never stand for such a thing."
