Lund laughs as he spins blocking Angus counter attack. He steps back slashing horizantely as he steps in with a smile. "Most of them taught me a few things before I left for the war." His smile stays on his face as he watches Angus move looking for a way inside his guard.

Angus is like a giant unmovable, unbreakable wall as the battle raged on. Every block was blocked and only counted with equal force but such skill that made it seem like the blows were twice the force as they had been delivered. "You are only embarrassing yourself lad. Can't take down and aging man?"

Lund let's out a growl as his sword begins flashing faster coming at angus vertically and from odd angles. "I can beat you Angus. I don't care how old you are." His anger makes his slashes sloppy and uncaring as he continues to fight on his anger buidling as each slash is blocked.

"You let your rage fight for you now Lund," Angus spoke as she kept easily avoiding each attack and countered back. "A warrior never lets his emotions rule him in a battle, they blind his vision until all he can see is red..." With a swift duck and roll, Angus was suddenly behind Lund, he wooden sword pointed and resting right against the base of Lund's spine. "And it gives your opponent the chance to take advantage."

Lund blinks as Angus is suddenly behind him breathing heavily. He stands there sucking in air as he drops his sword to the ground before turning towards Angus. "I was trying to work off my frustration Angus." He runs his fingers through his hair slowly as he moves to a water bucket drinking from it deeply. "Did you know her wound had become infected and had to be drained during the first part of it?"

Angus put down his sword as well and joined his friend, "I suspected as much but Nessa would not tell me what was wrong. I thought it best to just nod and smile and let her go about what she was doing. If it was a truly serious matter, they would have shared it with us. If they thought it minor enough never to mention, I respect that choice they made."

He clenches his fist on the bucket of water shaking his head quietly. "Its not something they should have kept from me Angus. Kiana is my wife I should be aware of anything thats wrong with her." He lets out a growl of frustration tossing the bucket against the wall. "I dont like being kept in the dark like that. Makes me feel like Im not protecting her."

The solders around them started to back further away to let Lund rage in peace. It was only Angus that stood by him. "You and Kiana are a perfect pair you know? You want to protect her and she just wants to protect you, even if it's only protecting you from worry." He placed a hand on Lund's shoulder, "And Nessa only does as her lady asks her to. Just like she asked her now to let her sit alone, even though she feel like being alone is torture."

He swallows heavily as he motions for Angus to follow him back into the castle. "I feel like I cant protect Kiana from anything anymore. I couldnt protect her in the mountains. I couldnt protect her in the dining hall." He shakes his head again as he continues his walk. "My father informed me that my brother came out to meet us without being ordered to. He would have killed me and Kiana if you hadnt been with us. Then on top of everything else I get named heir. I feel like Im losing control of my life."

Angus walked with him, just being there to support him. "Sometime life moves just a little two fast and we need to work to catch up to it. This is a perfect time for it. Your wife must take it easy so perhaps it would be a good time for you to do so as well. There will be plenty of time to move fast again while she moves fast as well. I will take over the seeing of the guards training to build the strength of your home. So you will not need to worry about the safety within it."

Lund nods slightly as he pauses in his footsteps. "Do you think I should go after him?" He rubs his hands together as he begins walking again as he finds himself near his rooms. He pauses looking at the door as he runs his fingers through his hair swallowing hard. "I trust you completely thats why I asked my father to make you the guard captain." He places his hand on Angus arm patting it.

Angus shook his head, "Not yet. Kiana's health will be to heavy upon your mind and your men would not be ready. There will be a time you may need to face your brother again, a final face off, but this is not the time for it. I don't think it will be for some time so until then," Angus just smiled and pat Lund on the back warmly, "Enjoy the life of a newly wed man and start your family..... I have already started mine." He smiled, "Just don't tell Kiana yet, for she will surely tell Nessa who will be mad at me I was the first one to spill the news."

He nods softly as he takes Angus advice pushing his brother from his mind. He leans against the wall his eyes going wide at his friends words. "Im happy for you. Kiana and I have discussed a family but nothing has come of it so far. I think she wishes for her wound to heal more. Less of a strain that way." He rubs his face softly turning towards the door. "I should go back inside and see if she is alright."

"Perhaps you should... and I could understand her want to wait a bit with the wound," he smirked as he started to walk away, "It only makes the starting of a family much more fun and enjoyable."

Inside the room, Kiana sat up in bed, her knees hugged to herself as she rested her head back against the headboard. It was tough to be alone after being stuck in this room for so long but this was her choice. She felt bad that she had really make Lund feel so horrible.

He smirks softly at Angus nodding softly. "I certainly would have to agree with you on that point." He turns to the door opening it slowly his head peeking in with bits of his hair pinned to his head with sweat. "Kiana are you awake?" He slips into the room sealing the door behind him as he moves across the room tugging his sweaty shirt off as he sits on the bed turning to watch her for a moment. "Where is Nessa?"

Kiana looked up, moving her legs a little to sit more casually upon the bed, "I let her leave. She spends so much time with me lately she must be getting tired of having to look at my face all day long. It was the least I could do after I upset her so much this morning." She sighed a little, "Now if I could just figure out how to make it up to you for making you so upset as well."

He sighs as he shakes his head softly. "You don't have to make anything up to me. I just wish you had told me. I took you out because I thought the wound was more healed then it was." he lowers his head into his hands sighing softly. "I don't feel like Im protecting you Kiana."

Kiana reaches out her hand, urging him to take hold of it and come sit with her upon the bed, "I confess, it's my fault. I was so excited by the idea of leaving this room I let my better judgment slip away from me. I never should have let you take me from here. BUT I promise you Lund, the wound truly does look much, much worse then it really is. I swear it."

He swallows softly as he takes the hand sitting on the bed next to her. "I just thought it was better. It's why I took you out of the room." He slips closer to her gently kissing her lips. "I love Kiana. I don't want anything to happen to you." He presses his forehead to hers quietly.

"Nothing is going to happen to me. I'm right here." She pressed her lips against his gently, nuzzling her cheek against his in the moment after, "I will tell you what. I will not even leave this bed again until you dub my wound well enough. Will that make you feel better?"

He sighs softly as he wraps his arms around her waist holding her close. "You know I just want you safe love. I feel like I let you done darling." He kisses her softly once more as he holds on to her. "Just promise me to be honest about your injuries love please."

"You could never let me down Lund," she smiled and rested her head against his shoulder then as she leaned forward. "Nothing you could EVER do would let me down. Don't forget that. I just.... I love you so much." She turned her head on his shoulder to press her lips against his neck, "No one is perfect love, but you come very close in my heart."

He smiles softly as he holds her close kissing her softly. "I love you kiana thank you for the vote of confidence. I hope I live up to you expectations darling." His fingers ease along her side softly as he pulls a blanket over them smiling warmly. "I'm feeling worn out from my excerise in the courtyard"

She moved aside to allow him the room to lay down. "Mmm, roll over. I will work out the tensing in your muscles. It will help you to relax a bit. I only wish I had some kind of rubbing oils or something for the moment. But my hands should do for the time being." She moved an waited to him to lay upon his belly so she may massage his back.

He smiles at her watching her for a moment before he lays on the bed closing his eyes. "Some days I don't think I deserve you love." He sighs letting her hands work over his shoulders as his eyes stay closed. "I'm glad that Nessa sees you as family now."
