Another two weeks passed and by the Kiana's wound had healed up nicely. Well, as nice as could be. The scar it left behind was still rather ugly and may always be. Then again, if she was lucky it may also fade away with time, but for now it was still a rather fresh wound. It had only been a little over a month since the incident.
Kiana was able to leave the room now, but often found herself favoring returning to her room. No matter how hard Lily tried to help her, Kiana could not help but feel a bit out of place still. When she spent time surveying the staff in the kitchens or being among the servants working, she felt comfortable for she had come from the same kind of background as them all. When she was among her in-laws though, occasionally finding herself face to face with some blue blooded guest, she felt alone and frightened and totally unworthy of the man she was married to.
She knew what would make her feel like she was doing a good days worth of work as well as keeping herself comfortable, but the request she knew was a big one to ask. She would need to butter her husband up before requesting to take up the full task of being the healer for not only the manor, but the surrounding village and lands. It would require her to place herself out in the the village where the sick and hurt could reach her. Where anyone could reach her. She would ask him later, after this night. It was going to be a perfect night. After a month of resting and not often straining herself with physical activity, she was more then strong enough for all the kinds of things she wanted for the last month. She wanted to make she he could not walk.
