To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfly040

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He turns hearing her words blinking slowly. He lifts himself up out of the water moving towards her slowly the water covering him to the waist at least. His fingers reach out to her touching her neck slowly. "Im sorry. If I had known that I would have bought you some clothing." He leans in kissing her neck slowly. "Once we go back to town Ill get you a few dresses to wear alright?" He leans even closer to her keeping just his lips touching her body.

For once, his boldness to come forth and kiss her neck like some kind of gentle lover that had the right to show her such a sign of affection. He was going back on his word to her and she would not take that. But her outrage was so out of the blue that she didn't think about her actions before making a somewhat stupid move. She spun around, her hand out to smack him across the face. "How DARE you!" she yelled at him, not thinking ahead enough to realize that she now faced him topless above the water's surface.

He blinks as he is slapped stumbling back slowly from the hit. He stands back up ready to confront her angrily but his voice is robbed from him as he notices her bare breast dripping with water swallowing. He shakes his head quickly as he moves towards her slowly. "Honor or not be damned Kiana. Im going to show you how to at least enjoy my touch." He grabs her by the waist tugging her close as he kisses her passionately.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

The kiss would have been more passionate if not for her screaming into it, her fists balled up and pounding against his chest, the water around them splashing with her movement made choppy waves all around them. It was hard for something to be enjoyable and passionate with the girl one was trying to woe was fighting like a caged animal in your arms, screaming like she was being attacked by a vicious beast. When he gave her enough room to do it, she took his lip between her teeth and bit. Not hard enough to draw blood, but enough to at least stun a moment to allow her to flee.

He tries to keep the kiss gentle as she struggles like a caged animal. His eyes go wide as he feels her bite his lip stumbling back slowly. He touches his lip staring at her for a moment. "You tried to bite me Kiana?" He swallows as he stands up slowly watching her as he shakes his head. "There was no need to bite me."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She slowly started to move away from him. Her eyes a little wild yet frightened as she kept them locked upon him. "No need...." she said slowly as she kept backing up. "NO need? You are a solider that has destroyed my home. Killed my people. Bought me like you would buy a horse at market. I don't WANT you. I never wanted any of this. But you and your people just came plowing in here like you own the place. You don't OWN me wither you like to think so or not. I won't dance if you tell me to dance. I won't ask how high if you tell me to jump. And I will NOT kiss you because you decide you want to." The wildness seemed to leave her eyes. As she was backing up, she was contemplating running from him but it was becoming clear she could not escape him. If she tried he'd likely catch her, pin her down, and who knew what else. She was trapped and while she talked big, she knew there was no escape. Just knew it. She knew that as much as she was trying to fight what was in front of her, she knew little by little that it was all she had and eventually... there would be nothing left to do but accept him and give up on her own independence.

Finally realizing she was still naked before him from the waist up in the water, Kiana ducked down, sitting on the bottom of the spring hiding her bared breasts from him under the waters surface.

He stares at her face trying to keep his eyes on her as he backs up slightly under her tirade. His arms cross over his chest as she seems to wind down sinking into the water. He starts towards her growling softly under his breath. "Do you even realize what those other men would have down to you Kiana. None of them would have been gentle. None of them would have offered you clothes and a bed to sleep on." He shakes his head slowly. "You wouldnt have had any of that. Just a sore spot between your legs where your innocence was." He spits into the water as he turns his back on her. "Maybe I should make my gold back by offering to sell you to one of your buyers I outbid. Would that make you happy?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She looked up at him, shaking her head, "So... I'm suppose to just accept this? I'm suppose to just open my arms and welcome you into them? Is that it? How can you not understand what I am saying over and over again? I don't want you OR any other solder with the blood of my people and the innocent forever on their hands. I never should be made to accept that. I never should have HAD to makes such a choice as abandoning all my morals and the principals I have within me to life another day at the hand of a stranger that only sees a virgin before him. And certainly never expected to accept such a thing with the wounds of the damage are still fresh." Her voice was much more calm, reasonable, and very conversational now, "Am I suppose to just stand here and let you do what you want with me? Kiss me. Look at me. I would do the same to any man that believed he owned me be it you or another." She looked away, "Nothing you could ever do short of turning back time and giving me my life back will make me happy."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"I havent asked you to give me anything you arent comfortable with Kiana. Im just asking to at least be given a chance. I did save you from the rest of those men." He sighs as he thinks over the last part of her words as he heads for the bank pulling a large dagger from his belt. He then turns heading for her holding the knife tightly. "You blame me for the death of your family and you want another life?" He takes her hand pressing the dagger into her hand. "Then end my life and run. I have gold on my belt you can disappear into another life but think of this. How long before another war catches you? Do you think there will be someone like me there to save you again?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

It felt to her like the dagger was burning the skin of her hand as it pressed against her skin. The moment was tense to say the least as she held the dagger, looking at it, thinking over her options. "I'm not a murderer," she whispered then as she continued to look at the dagger. Then, new ideas went through her head as she looked as the dagger and slowly let her fingers rotate the dagger in her had until the blade soon faced her own body and it was clear what she was thinking to possibly do with the lethal weapon he had placed into her hand.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He lets out a slow sigh as she refuses to stab him with the dagger. His hands grab at her wrist as she turns the dagger towards herself shaking his head. "Kiana dont even think about it. Give me the dagger." He looks into her eyes as he slips his hands over hers to keep her from moving the dagger into herself. "Im not going to let you kill yourself. I know you hate me but you could at least see this as a second chance at life even if you arent a priestess anymore." He lowers himself in the water slightly as he looks into her eyes.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

For a moment her fingers grasp the dagger even tighter. As if for a moment she was going to attempt to do it even with his hand on hers. There was no way she could be successful in any attempt and so seeming to realize this she released her grip from the dagger, letting him take it back from her. Her eyes meet his a moment, but his almost caring expression made her feel horribly uncomfortable. She wanted to accept the compassion he was offering, but her strong will wanted to resist it as well. It was the right thing to do. Wasn't it? "What kind of life?" she asked without much thought about the words coming out of her mouth.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He lets out a soft sigh as she releases the dagger tossing it on to the shore. He turns back to her looking into her eyes as he presses his hand into her cheek softly. "Any kind of life you want? I can resign from the army and we could start a farm out here." He looks around the forest around them then back into her eyes. "Think about that Kiana. A farm and I wouldnt have to kill anyone else."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

The look on her face said it all. It was not a look of hope or a look of content. It was that kind of look a person gave you when they did not believe you SO much that they could not even hide that they actually felt a little insulted by whatever had just been said. That was exactly the look she was giving him that moment. She knew saying something would just start another heated fight between them and that was the last thing she wanted. She was not a confrontational person and so much of it in the last day had made her horribly worn out. Shaking her head she moved passed him swim through the shallow water back towards the shore where her clothing was. "It would be best if you turned your eyes while I redressed myself..."

He blinks slightly at her look frowning slightly as his forehead creases with anger. His hands tense slightly at his sides as he watches her. His head is the only thing that seems to move as he watches her swim past him heading for the shore. He starts to make a grab for her arm wanting to resolve the issues between them there and now but he simply shakes his head turning away from her to let her climb on to the shore. "Hurry and dress so we can head to town. Im going to buy you some different clothes to wear."

She looked over her shoulder to make sure he was not looking before she moved to climb from the water. The clothing was still a little damp but she just took a moment to shake off the water on her skin before she quickly threw her clothing back on and adjusting herself before she moved away to sit on a rock, her back to him and his clothing still on the rock. "All clear..."

He doesnt even try to peek on her as he hears her shaking the water off of herself. Once she gives him the all clear he slips out of the water shaking himself dry as well before slipping on his fresh clothes. His fingers run through his hair for a moment before slips his belt on checking the edge of the dagger before slipping it into its sheath. He turns heading towards the path they came in on before turning back. "Are you going to walk with me Kiana or should I fetch your highness a carriage?"

If looks could kill.... the glare his rude comment won from Kiana would have at the very least been like an arrow in his side. She just kept her heated eyes on him a moment but rather then make the moment worse with more angry words, she just turned her face away and started heading down the path way, letting him follow behind. Her semi damp clothing sticking a little to her still damp skin on her legs and butt.

He seems to ignore the look she gives him shrugging his shoulders to her. He turns as she passes beginning to follow after her noticing the way her clothing sticks her her legs and butt. A long swallow is heard from him as he tries to keep his eyes off her butt and not succeeding very well. "We can ride out to another town tomorrow to get you more clothing. My contract is due up any day then I will take you back to my home."

She just kept on walking. "I don't need any other clothing..." she commented. "I said I had no other clothing. I didn't say I wanted or needed any other clothing." The truth was she wanted as little putting her in his debt as possible. True, she was already pretty much DEEP in it already.... only more reason to not digger herself any deeper into it. "So thank you, but no thank you. I'm just fine the way I am."

((I like the idea of him taking her home from war with him. What kind of person do we want him to really be?))

He lets out a soft growl as he reaches up to grab her arm spinning her around to face him. "Look Kiana I dont want to give you the wrong impression but Im going to buy you clothes and anything else I might want to get you. Your going to have to accept it priestess." He sighs as he touches her cheek softly looking into her eyes. "I dont want to harm you Kiana. Ive done nothing to harm you so please just try to get along with me."

((I figure hes a man who wants the simple things but he is gifted or cursed with a aptitude for sword play.))

She gasped as he grabbed her, her eyes wide with shock of his sudden move to reach out and snatch her up without her ever realizing it. The look in her eyes was not exactly fear, but more shock then anything else. "The best way I see to accept this situation is to focus as little on it as possible." There wasn't any kind of mean sound or anger in her voice as she spoke with him now. "You focus on you and I shall focus on me. I don't wanna be a responsibility for you like a pet is someone's responsibility. I don't want to be dependent upon you as such either. For now that might be the only way we can possibly co-exist with one another without one of us wanting to ring the others' neck."

He blinks for a moment as he stares into her eyes before muttering a foul curse and brushing past her taking the path at quick pace. "I swear you women are nothing but trouble. Just full of it. I should have saved my gold for another horse." He keeps walking not even looking back at her as he shakes his head continuing to mutter about women and the trouble they always seem to cause.

She shook her head a little, standing there a moment still as she thought pretty much the same thing about men. Trouble. All of them nothing but trouble. The world would be so much simpler and peaceful if it were run by women. But being the "weaker" gender they were forced into the home to bare sons which would grow to be more trouble and pass the submissive gene along to the daughters. After a sigh she started again, following him along the path back toward the village just staying a few steps behind.

His pace is still quick as he keeps walking only slowing as they enter the village looking around as he moves to a vendor. He picks up a couple pieces of fruit paying for them. He turns to Kiana offering her the second piece. "I know you have to be hungry?" He keeps the fruit held up for her noticing a couple of the soldiers glaring at her back licking their lips softly.
