To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfly040

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She turned her face away from his, feeling strangely uncomfortable when their eyes meet for more then a few moments in time. They seemed to possess her and stop her from wanting to deny him. And yet she still did, "So be it then. It seems silly we both must get wet but that's your choice as this is mine."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He pulls a blanket from his cot as he slips down to the ground. "See it your way then. Ive slept in the rain before." He wraps the blanket around himself as he lays back. "I dont understand why you have to be so stubborn priestess." He shakes his head intentionally not using her name since she is being so stubborn.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She did not reply to him, but she knew in her head why she was being so stubborn. Sleeping in the small cot with him was the first step to being forced to sleep UNDER him in that very cot. It was inevitable she knew that she would be forced upon by him, but that would not be tonight if she had anything to do about it. She just snuggled up against her own hands and let the rain come.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He sighs softly as he moves just enough to lay abit of the blanket over her so she wont be so cold. "Why do you wish to fight against me so much. Im merely trying to keep you safe and sound." He looks at her studying her slowly as he lays his head back against the tent side.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

((Sorry it took so long. I've been kinda.... outta it. I'm not on my best game as of late.))

Giving him to reply at first, she thought about brushing the blanket he offered her without word off. But as she thought about her words, they would surely cause more then enough of a sting against him. "If you truly wanted to keep me safe.... you and your army never would have come here and destroyed our lives in the first place. I was safe, before. I didn't need to be protected for there was no reason to fear."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He glares at her silently swallowing slowly. "I didnt chose where the army is going. Im sorry that you had to suffer under the attack but as long as I live I will make sure you arent hurt again." He pulls her close touching her cheek as he looks into her eyes.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She glanced back into his eyes a moment. Just one moment that seemed to stop and slow until it was an eternity before at last she closed her eyes and blocked the contact between them. "Can't we just sleep? I'm tired. I have not felt safe enough to sleep in days." Which revealed to him, at least a little bit, that she felt at least a little safe with him.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He nods softly as he lays back making sure she is being covered by the blanket. He shifts slightly making his body touch hers as he keeps himself from being rained on. He sleeps peacefully his sword leaning just a few inches from his right hand ready to be picked up if needed.

She did not fall asleep as easily as he did. Once she knew he was asleep, she looked around, trying to make a plan of escape or attack or something. She lifted her head to see the sword not so far away. But how deep a sleeper was he really? If she tried to reach for it, she risked waking him from her movements. Was it really worth that risk? Perhaps at a later date. Not now though. No, she needed to learn her enemies weaknesses and use them to her advantage. Knowing she could attempt no escape tonight, she at last let herself fall asleep.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He quietly sleeps on feeling her slight movement. He stays still listening to her as she drifts off his head lifting slightly to watch her as she sleeps. He lets a small smile form on his lips as he gives her a moment before laying his own head back drifting off.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

It only rained through half the night, but when the morning light finally did come, they were both pretty dirty. The ground had turned to a mud and the sides of their bodies that lay against the earth were quite dirty. As she woke, Kiana could not help but cringe a little as how nasty she felt. Perhaps sleeping on the ground had not been a good idea. What more, she kind of feared what his reaction was going to be since it would be her fault that he was half covered in mud as well.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He lets out a slow yawn as he begins to wake slowly. He sits up looking towards her noticing the mud on her then himself. A slow laughter echoes through his body as he looks at her. "Im afraid you and I will both need a bath after this." He stands slowly as he grabs his sword and some fresh clothes. "Come I believe I saw a water fall as I rode into your town."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She said nothing as she rose to her feet. At least he was laughing, she supposed. And he was right, there was a waterfall that was not terribly far from the village though the trek was not the easiest as it was up hill. Most people just used the river that was on the other edge of town. But it he wanted the waterfall, she knew he'd get the waterfall.

Kiana did not look forward to having to not only bath in front of him, but to wash her clothing, she'd have to wear it wet. And with white cloth, it was going to be giving everyone that saw her a show. She almost preferred to stay dirty.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He glances over at her smiling gently. "See you could have just slept in the bed Kiana." He moves to her gently brushing a bit of dirt from her face. His eyes stay gently as he just studies her face for a moment. He slips his sword on before turning and opening the door to the tent for her.

He walks out after her guiding her to his horse. "Would you prefer to ride or walk Kiana?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She glanced about at the others that were out and about already the morning. It was a sickening sight to see the solders all looking so very pleased with themselves while seeing the women all with their blank stares and bruised bodies. It was in that moment she truly realized how lucky she was to have been bought by possibly the only decent man among the group.

"If you mean the falls I think you do, it will be hard for your horse to reach unless you go the long way around. There is a more direct route to walk, even if it's a bit more treacherous a path."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He pats his horses neck as he turns to watch her. "Of course. I assume that you know the path we need to take." His own eye have taken in the sight of the other woman seeming to have lost most of the will for life. He moves to put his arm around her waist as he spots a few of the soldiers looking towards her. He drops his voice to a low whisper. "Just act natural Kiana."

He smiles at her gently as he turns to begin walking the path letting her guide them.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She did not notice the other men looking at her like a piece of meat that they all wanted to sink their teeth into, until he went and brought it to her attention. Then she sure noticed. Her eyes for a moment locked with one of the others and she watched him lick his lips in her direction. She never thought she'd be so happy to belong to someone before but in that moment, she whispered to him, "Your fellow solders.... do they look only or will they try and touch?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He pulls her close there bodies almost touching as he leans down making the innocent looking hold into something else as he whispers to her. "THose who know me will look only. Anyone who tries otherwise will find themselves short a hand." His arms stay around her waist. "Im going to hold you close as we walk try not to fight it ok?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

Not exactly the reply she wanted to hear. It meant that for her own safety in the long term of things, she would have to find it in this man she did not want to like let alone depend upon. She felt so helpless but there was nothing she could do. "Not like there is any better choice," she whispered back as they moved closely through the village. She was pleased to reach the edge of the village though where their trek would start. There was no way they could remain so close without much difficulty making the journey to it. "It might not seem an easy trek, but it's the easiest you'll find. This way," she told him as she started into the pretty thick woods.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He smiles as they walk through the camp enjoying the feel of her body pressed into his. "Kiana I wont let them harm you. I promise you that." He watches her trek into the woods for a few moments before he takes off after her keeping a safe distance from her so that she feels unthreatened by his presence.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

After traveling for a ways into the wood, she looked back, not really reading the distance as him giving her space as... "Keep up with me. I thought you were some big strong solider..." she sort of taunted in his direction before turning back to the path before her. If you could call it a path. Over fallen trees. Under low branches, through patches of vines. Still, it was the most direct route.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He smirks as he quickly catches up to her at a tree fallen over the path. He grabs her arm gently spinning her as he presses her against the tree looking into her eyes. "I thought I might give you some room so you wouldnt feel uncomfortable Kiana. But if you prefer I can stay this close the whole trip." A small light of humor dances in his eyes as he watches her face holding her with an arm around her waist.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

If he truly was watching her eyes, he'd see the fear in them that his sudden movements created. He was only able to see them a moment though before she turned her face away and closed her eyes as if bracing herself for a blow. And what more, her movements seemed... natural. At least like she was prepared at every moment she was with him to have to try and defend and protect herself.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He sighs softly as he sees the fear in her eyes. He softly touches her chin tilting her head back towards him. "Dont look away Kiana. Im not going to hurt you I promise." His face leans in close to her slipping an arm around her waist his lips inches from hers as he holds on to her.
