To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfly040

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He smiles lightly as he touches her cheek softly. He notices the shiver as he pulls out a spare blanket wrapping it around her shoulders. "What makes you prefer me now?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She sighed and hugged the blanket for a moment around her shoulders, "If any other man had won me, I would right now be.... be flat on my back in tears somewhere." She eyed him a little from the side, clearly still weary of him, "I could still end up that way for all I know, but at least I am not that way now. And I said that I PREFER you. That doesn't mean that I like you."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He laughs softly as he wraps his arms around her rubbing her arms trying to help her warm up alittle. "Well dont worry about anything like that. Ill keep you safe ok." He kisses her forehead softly before moving to lean back closing his eyes slightly

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"I'm not that cold.... thank you...." she commented softly as she jerked away. The kiss upon her forehead, so soft and sweet from a man she knew nothing about and in all honest never expected to show her any kind of kindness or gentleness.... "Why are you so different from the other warriors? You don't seem like one of them at all."

((How long do we want them to go before they do it for the first time? Do we want her to coming willingly or not?))

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He opens an eye to look at her slowly. "Im different because I see war as a job not as something to be enjoyed. Just because you can kill doesnt give you the right to." He sits up looking at her slowly.

((Maybe semi willingly.))

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"And can you find no other job?" She asked, really interested by his reply. "Can you not do honest work for your living? A farmer? A miller? A blacksmith? Why did you choice to pick a job where you knew people would die. INNOCENT people would die by your hands. Children orphaned. Wives widow. Maiden's flesh sold for the pleasure of sinners....." she have never understood war. She was a peaceful woman of faith and war just seemed so dark and violent. No purpose to it at all.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"War has its place just like farming, milling and blacksmithing do?" He turns towards her locking his cold eyes on to hers. "And what about you? Why became a women of faith? Most people dont even accept the gods anymore. Yet you still worship them." He watches her his voice losing some of its former warmth

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"I have chosen a path of peace. I worship, yes, but that is only part of my meaning on this planet. Our temple's doors were always open to those in need. Wither it be those in need of guidance or in need of shelter. We welcomed all with open arms. All but those who mean to do us and other harm and destruction," her gaze locked with his and held a just as determined look. She truly believed what she was speaking for and speaking against.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He shakes his head slightly but keeps his eyes on hers. "I have no place for religion. The gods can keep to themselves and do as far as I can tell. They dont help man so I say man is better without them." He stands starting to loosen his sword belt propping it against a small table near the tent flap

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"The gods may not always help, but people can. I have so many times in the past. And what have you done?" her eyes grow angered as she almost dares him with one look. And a few words of course, "What good have you done? Compared to how many people you have helped, how many people have you hurt? How many people have you killed in the name of your pointless wars?"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He turns towards her a hand resting on the sword hilt. "I may not do much good. But Ive kept you from getting taken repeatedly while you called to your gods for help and got no response." He moves towards her jerking her up quickly. "Would you like to see how much help you can provide if I shove you outside to those lecharous hands."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

For a moment, the fear was clear in her eyes but then the challenge returned as she lifted her chin. She was clearly attempting to hide her fear, even though she did it well, someone like him that had probably seen fear in so many faces before would be able to see it still, "Go on... hurt another person...." she seemed to dare. She did not know if he would follow through with the threat or not. Truly she was taking a chance. If she had to suffer to prove the point she was trying to make again him, so be it. I would happen at one point or another she was sure. And if he retracted his threat... then he proved her wrong. At least a little bit.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He keeps his hold on her shoulders looking into her face shaking his head slowly. "I can see your fear in your face Kiana." He pulls her close almost having there bodies touch. "Where is your god now? Is he protecting you now. Will he save you from this army?" The anger in his eyes flashes as he watches her before releasing her with a scoff.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She stumbled back a step as he pushed her away, just staring him down. Looking him over from head to toe and then, a slight smile crossed her lips. A sort of knowing smile, "You proved me wrong. You didn't throw me to the dogs out there. So perhaps the gods already have. They work, at times, in unconventional ways."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He whirls on her at the mention of gods. "You look for the gods in everything dont you? Do you see them in this cup?" He holds up a cup filled with water. He grabs her wrist tugging her close. "What would you say of your gods if I were to poison this water and feed it to you?" He looks into her eyes sccanning them

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She gasping in surprise as he yanked at her and raged on and on more. She tugged her arm, trying to pull away from him almost desperately, "Let me go!" She turned her face from his for they were now filled with fear. He had so much rage in him and that frightened her more then anything else right now. "I try to be peaceful with you and you threaten and hurt me! What do you want from me?! Yes master. Whatever you say master. I shall be a mindless, emotionless doll for you master with not a thought or opinion of my own master!"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

"If I wanted a simple slave I would have left you on the block." He lifts her chin to look into her eyes. "My rage is well placed and not the concern of your gods." He loosens his grip on her watching her. "Get some rest. I need time to think"

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

And once more she stumbled back a few steps. This time though, she did not talk back. She needed to rest and think just like he did. Turning, she saw only his humble cot and there was no way she was going to be sharing that with him. Glancing about she spotted a corner of his tent that was nice and far from him and his cot. She crossed there and sat herself down before then laying down, her hands under her head like a pillow.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He glances towards her sensing her move. He sighs softly as he moves to sit down on the cot running his fingers through his hair slowly. "If you want you can have the cot? Im used to sleeping on the ground." He glances towards her slowly his eyes on her watching her.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She did not even glance back at him as she sort of adjusted herself. Making herself as comfortable as one could in the current situation. "I'm quite fine." She went silent before adding as a sort of after thought a very meek, "Thank you anyway...." and then she was done for the night. She would not speak unless spoken to.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He leans over sipping from his cup as he watches her the rain beginning to come down outside the tent. He stands moving towards her slowly kneeling. His hand touches her cheek lightly. "Your going to get wet down here."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She quickly, as if some kind of reflex, moved her face so that he could not touch her face like he was attempting to. "I'm quite fine," she told him softly yet very sternly, "Thank you for your concern. It's just a little water. I won't melt."

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He sighs softly. "Do I have to force you to lay in the bed? I wont try anything. Its just to keep you warm and dry." He starts to pick her up keeping his voice low.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

She instantly struggled against him, flopping out of hit arms and hitting the floor. With a quick recovery though she took a sort of defensive position crouched down in the corner. In all honesty it was not a very good defense. He could easily win a short fight with her if he wanted to. "I said I'm fine," she replied in a low voice.

Re: To the Highest Bidder Goes the Prize (Chuckeles/butterfl

He lets out a sound of surprise as she fights her way from his arms. His eyes watch her for a few moments before kneeling looking into her eyes. "I wont hear any arguement over this maiden. You will sleep on the bed or we will both sleep on the floor and get wet."
