It takes Lund the full hour just to get his shirt up and off. The whole deal seems to have worn him out. His body his covered in sweat with blood still leaking from the wound. He pauses hearing the groan from her. He quickly hides the bloody shirt from her turning to hide his wound. A quick sip from his canteen then he is at her side. "Kiana, how do you feel?"

She groaned a little, "Like I was thrown against a wall... oh wait. I was, wasn't I?" If she had meant it as a joke or just realized it was unclear. She moved to sit up a little, rubbing her head and turning it, looking down at him. Her eyes went wide. "There's blood all over the floor!" She cried out, confused a moment before she realized it had to be from him. "You're hurt?!"

He winces slightly as he takes her comment with some humor. "That brute threw you into a wall after you jumped on his back Kiana. It was almost amusing to watch but you could have been hurt badly." He grabs the canteen offerin her some water. "Its just a small nick."

She took the canteen, but did not drink from it as he offered. Instead she offered it back to him, "You need this more then me right now. That's more blood then a small nick." Thought it made her head throb even more, she sat up and swung her feet off the side of her little bed she had been resting on. She moved to kneel beside him on the side that was all bloodied up. "Do you have a needle and thread? This needs to be stitched or you'll loose more blood." Her own needs were no where in her thoughts.

He takes the canteen hesitating as he takes a drink from it his eyes watching her. "There are some thread and needle inside my pack over there." He swallows as he watches her taking another sip from the canteen. "I..I was trying not to disturb you Kiana. You needed the rest after what happened."

She moved, not fully steady on her own feet but well enough to get to the pack and back again, "You'd let me rest while you bleed to death?" She shook her head a little hiding out it made her head ache as she reached down and took his arm. "Lie on the cot. I'll be easier for me to stitch you up that way."

He turns to watch her as she walks his eyes narrowing slightly before he takes another drink from his canteen. "I was more worried about you Kiana? Ive taken worse wounds then this." He stands moving to the cot to lay down slowly. "I thought he had killed you when he threw you into that wall." He turns his head away from her as he lifts his arm to let her get full access the wound.

"This will hurt..." she told him, "I think you might know that already." Threading the needle she had found, she took on of the candles lit in the ten and heated the needle with it before she started to stitch up the wound. "Well clearly he did not and now you are the one in danger of dying. A wound like this if not attended could kill a man. We might have been a peaceful village without war before you all came here, but I have seen wounds like this kill a man. We've had rouge warriors like you stumbling into our temple looking for help for years. We never turned anyone away." She couldn't help but wonder as she stitched over his words about being worried about her. What care he if his slave live or die?

He nods slowly at her words. "Its been awhile since I took a wound but I remember the pain of being stitched up quite well." He turns his head to watch her heat the needle offering her a grim smile before he turns away again swallowing. "I think I ripped it open trying to get my shirt off." He turns his head away from her as he begins to talk to distract himself. "I would have used my dying breath to fight him Kiana. Men like Raken only have two things they are good at." He shakes his head softly. "Of course you probably think the same of me dont you?"

"I did, at first," she tried to keep on talking even though the conversation always had a chance to grow tense or even heated. She was going to try her best to keep it from growing to that point. "You all came romping in here like you owned the place. Each and every one of you looked about the same to me as men were run through just trying to protect their own loved ones and their homes. You all looked the same as I watch women and their children being pulled apart. And I thought you all look about the same as I was forced to stand up on that auction block and let you all look me over like I was some kind of priced horse...." she paused a little, but it was clear she was going to go on with her thought, "But you are different. I will admit that now. You are not like the others I have been faced with. I didn't realize that until you put your own life on the line for me."

He turns his head to watch her face as she works trying to keep the pain from showing on his face. He lifts his hand slightly to stare at it for a moment. "Im sorry we tore your village apart Kiana. There is war all over the country with no real reason other then some king Ill never meet wants to control land that someone else seems to control." He turns away from her letting his hand drop once more as he shakes his head. "Kiana in the eyes of those men I may own you but...But I dont want to own you. I saw the looks men like Raken gave you when they said you were a priestess." He shakes his head once more. "They would have taken your innocence from you then sold you to a brothel at the next town we didnt destroy."

She paused from her stitching a moment to shudder at the thought of his words, picturing it a moment and feeling a little dizzy. She hide her pounding in her head though as well as he hide the pain he felt from the stitching. After a moment, she went back to her work, being just about half way done at this point. "If you don't want me for something like that, then what did you want me for?"

He frowns slightly as if noticing her head is pounding but it could well be the wound in his side hurting him at this point. "I..I dont know. I felt like something was guiding me to buy you. Not to force my way on you but to save you from a man like Raken. I guess it was luck that I had saved most of my money or wouldnt have been able to outbet them at the auction."

"I cost you a lot of coin just to look at," she said with almost a smile, "And to tend to any gaping holes in your body as well. I guess I could clean for you and cook for you. I can sew... as you can tell... for you too." She tried to think of all the ways he could use her and get his money from her without needing to give her innocence up. Though she still secretly figured he'd likely want that as well in time. "Almost finished. Do you have any kind of bandages around?"

He smiles as she list off the things she could do for him. He turns his head pointing at his bags. "Just use an old shirt. Rip it if you have to." He turns angling his head to watch her face as he talks. "Why would you offer so much when I havent asked it of you Kiana?"

It was just about then that she reached the end of her work, tying the stitching off and cutting the thread with her teeth, "I have to pay you back somehow. You have saved me more then once now and I owe you for that." Rising she made her way to the bags he had pointed to and found a shirt as she said. Returning to him at the cot, "Sit up... carefully. It will be easier to wrap the wound like that."

He sits up slowly wincing as she tries to keep himself from stretching out. "Do you find me appealing at all Kiana?" HIs eyes watch her whole body wanting to judge her reaction to his question. He lifts his arms just enough to give her room to be able to wrap the shirt around his waist and his wound.

She tensed a little bit as he asked his question of her, visibly taking a pause before she went back to ripping his shirt into stripes. "Well.... you have all your teeth from what I can tell. And you don't smell so badly that flies follow you about where ever you may go..." It was not a confession of attraction but at least she recognized he was better then the rest of the lot of them. "I suppose you are attractive. I have been in the temple a long while and did not interact with most men of my own age during the years that a girl would start to find men attractive. I had more important studies to worry about before I worried about men." She started to wrap the shirt pieces tenderly around his midsection.

He smiles softly as he looks down at her. "Well Im glad you dont think I look like the rear end of a horse." He laughs softly but sucks in a breath at the pain. He slips his hand down to touch hers before letting her wrap the shirt around his waist gently. "Kiana would you be offended if I asked to kiss you? And I dont mean me just pressing my lips to yours I mean an actually kiss that you will return."

Kiana just kept to her task of bandaging him up, attempting to ignore the blush now on her cheeks. "After all you and I have just been through, you think this is the best time to be kissing?" She fully covered the wound and tied off the ends. "There, it might not be pretty but it will hopefully keep you alive. You need to lay down now and rest," she told him as she was dancing around having to answer his question about kissing her. And she prayed he would just take her advise and lay down for she was starting to feel like she was going to pass out herself any time now and she'd rather do it while he was out so he'd not go fawning over her with worry.

Lund keeps his eyes on her smiling softly as he notices the faint blush on her cheeks. "Ill lay down but only if you join me. You need the sleep just as much as I do. The cot is more then large enough for both of us." He lays back sliding till he is on the far side leaving her enough room to lay but will force the bodies to be pressed together slightly to lay comfortably

She looks at him as he lay there with the small space next to him open. There is more then a little hesitation clear on her face before, "Very well. But you stay as much to your side as you can and I will certainly stay to mine." Her plan was to just lay there awake a few moments while he drifted off to sleep and then get up and move to the floor once again. But as she laid herself on the cot, she couldn't control herself and passed out no sooner then her head touched the pillow, her back towards him.

He watches her as he lays down nodding to her words. "Of course. I'll be boy scout I promise." He smiles as he watces her lay down. He leans closer to her gently touching her cheek brushing a strand of her hair back. He lays his head on the pillow draping an arm over her waist as he begins to fall asleep.

The rest was indeed well needed after the blow to her head. Another army could have come storming through the village and she likely would have slept through the whole thing. The sun was near set hours later before her haze of unconsciousness lifted even the slightest bit. And with it, she groaned a little and opened her eyes, finding herself still laying in the same spot she was when her head hit the pillow. It took her a moment to realize she had not followed her plan to move away to find her rest on the floor. When she now tried to move and do so, not only did her head ring in protest but she found his arm draped over her, preventing her from leaving the cot. Carefully, she tried to raise his hand up to escape.

He sleeps deeply next to her stirring slightly as he begins to feel her move under his arm. He doesn't react much as she touches his calloused hand till she tries to move it from off herself. His arm then tightens protectively around her inadverdantly pulling her close as he whispers. "Kiana."
