The second that the rag left her mouth... she looked him right in the eyes and spoke in an alarmingly, chillingly calm manner. Her words were calculated and tainted with an intense hate. "Hear me Jas and listen very well, for this is the last time I will EVER speak to you. Today... you have killed me. You have done this in killing Gaisse, my love. Any affection I held for you still is dead with him and with my soul. You are the most vile, fowl, disgusting waste of life I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I wish I have never laid eyes on you let alone spoken to you or at any time cared for you. You have taken all the hopes and dreams I ever had for myself more the once. You took them from me when I cared for you only to abandon me and even worse, you have taken the them from me again today. Today was suppose to be the happiest day of my life. I was going to be a wife to the love of my life, but you have robbed me of it. And now I have nothing left to live for. Nothing to do but wait. I wait now only for the day that the devil finally drags you down into the fires of hell where you belong. That, and that alone will not be the happiest day of my life. I hope you are happy knowing you have killed the only thing you seemed to have ever loved." She drew back and spit right into his face, "You are a murdering pig shit!"

------------------
Kiana was so very tired and her fever, which had been going down, was starting to rise back up again from the stress of this moment. Yet through it she had to act, she could not let Gaisse die. If she had not sent him back after the trail, he would not lie dying at this moment. She had to act and act quickly. Sending Lund off to set the baby back into the nursery, she told him she would need his help directly after. She went on ahead to see the damage for herself.

It was fair worse then she imagined it would be. Never before had she seen a man survive a wound like this. It was a great shock that the wound had not already killed him. Pulling up her shelves and tying back her hair, Kiana started on the hardest healing task of her life. She only prayed that she could save him.

Jas blinks slightly as he looks at her stunned by her words. He even stumbles back as if each of her words was a slap across his face. He seems stunned again as her spit hits him in the face. Bringing his hand up he begins to wipe the saliva off his face. "Lily I know you don't mean those things. You just need some time to get over his death. Once that happens you will see that you still love me." He presses his fingers against her cheek tenderly. With a smile he carries her into the new cabin placing her in a chair before a fire.

-----
Gaisse's eyes flutter open as he tries to whispers Lilys name. He growls as he tries to get up blood surging against the sheets. "I have to save her m'lady." He coughs softly as he is pushed back by Lund as he appears in the room. His grip loosens on sheet as he lays back his body going numb. "His blade was so fast. Couldn't keep my concentration."

She says nothing to him, only turns her face away from his touch. While she does not struggle as he carries her into her new prison, she does bat away his hand as he just lets her go. Crossing her arms, she turns her face from him, not acknowledging him in any way.

----
Kiana was growing increasingly frustrated with the wound, not with Gaisse. As he started to move, it was making it even more difficult. "I know Gaisse, I know but you must like still. You must or I will not be able to heal your wounds! If we can't heal your wounds, we won't be able to find Lily now, won't we?"

Jas glances at Lily as she just turns away from him. Sighing softly he moves to secure the door, keeping an eye on her. His next move is to prepare a glass of wine for both of them. "Are you hungry Lily? We have fresh meat and their is a root cellar with at least three months of provisions." He moves to stand behind her placing his hands on her shoulders softly.

----
Gaisse seems to calm down at Kiana's words. His breathing his shallow as he lays on the bed letting her work on his wounds. The wound on his chest still leaking blood, coughing softly as he groans with pain.

She allows his hands upon her shoulders only a moment before she shakes then rather sharply and forcefully, knocking them away from her. She says nothing to him in reply.

--------
Kiana needs to tend him yet needs to make him something to put him to sleep at the same time. Do stop the one to do the other would kill him though. She looks to Lund. "Lund, you must mix another of the drink you mixed for me before but you must add three times as much of the flowered herb as you did for my drink."

Jas sighs again as she shakes his hands off of her shoulders. "Lily you will need to speak to me sometime. Besides with that man gone you will see that you didnt truly love him." He smiles softly as he leans in to kiss her cheek tenderly. "You just need some time to get your head straight.

---
Lund nods softly as he begins mixing the drink once more, following her instructions precisely. He glances up at Gaisse as he grinds the herbs together moving to whisper to Kiana. "How bad is it love?" His eyes study the wounds for a moment, silently wondering why the boy wasnt long dead yet. Without a word he adds water to the herbs making it cooler so as not to burn Gaisse's mouth.

She allows the kiss and then turns to look at him, making sure he is watching her as she raised up her hand and very proudly wipes off her cheek in the exact spot he had just kissed her as if removing any lingering sign that he had just kissed her. Still she said nothing as she turned her attention away once again to sit staring into the fire.

------
She has no time to look to her husband or respond to him at the moment but once the mixture is finished, she takes it from him and instructs him to help hold Gaisse's head up, "Gaisse... I am going to give you something for the pain. It's a drink. The taste will be strong but it will dull the pain and make you sleep. You must drink it all, understand?" She held it to his lips and waited to him to accept it.

Jas grits his teeth as she wipes away the spot where he kissed her. A flash of anger goes through him once more as he stares at her. "Fine we will see how a few days starving adjust your attitude." He grabs her by the wrist once more pulling her into a nearly identical room, with no windows. Pushing her down on to the bed, he turns slamming the door shut.

----
Gaisse's hand comes up grabbing Kiana's wrist, as he begins breathing heavily. Despite the blood loss his grip his tight enough to hurt her for a moment as it takes his mind a moment to process her words. His lips part taking all of the brew in swallowing it quickly. He has heard of her healing skills from Lily and now his life was in her hands. As the brew starts to kick in his grip loosens on her wrist his head coming back down on the pillow.

No sooner is the door slammed behind him, Lily can be heard bursting into a fit of wild tears as she breaks down into the pillow upon the bed. She didn't care if she starved for it would only bring her death so she could be with Gaisse once again. She meant what she said before. There might have been a part of her still holding a kind of affection for Jas but it was now dead. There was no life in her love for him now and never would be again. He killed someone today right before her very eyes. Killed a man she loved never the less and held no remorse for that. He was a monster and she could never ever care for a monster. She was in hell now. Pure, hell and she just wanted to sink into it and die.

-----
She gasped as he grabbed her and flinched, but did not stop him from hurting her. Eventually he released her, her wrist a bit red but it was nothing compared to his pain she knew. Once she knew for certain he was out, she handed the cup back to Lund and at last replied to his question from before. "This wound should have already killed him. It's a pure miracle he is alive. This is the worst wound I have ever seen... it will take a lot of time and work to patch him up. Even then......." she trailed off. "You should find a priest. He might be needed at any moment, but I will do all I can." She did not even pay attention to her own body protesting with her that she was pushing herself to far.

Jas is quick to let his own anger out once the door is shut. He had no choice, but to fight when that Lord had come charging into the clearing. It was his life or the man's. Swallowing softly he begins to pace his mind already trying to figure out a way to get back into Lily's good graces.

---
Lund nods softly as he sends off for a priest and Nessa, figuring his wife would need another set of skilled hands. "How is he still alive after taking that wound. I've seen it used often in the field." He shakes his head as he begins to pace ready to be used if needed.

"That's the thing...." Kiana said, a little darkly as she struggled to keep him alive now, "I have no idea how he could still be alive. This kind of wound.... this is a dead man's wound. The gods have for some reason given him a second chance but it could slip away if I am not quick to help him."

The healing process took hours to stop the bleeding, seal what needed to be sealed, mix what needed to be mixed and at last bandage him up tight again. It was only in the aftermath of the moment, when Kiana was directing people about to clean him and the bedding that her own body started to catch up from the rush of trying to save Gaisse's life. She didn't look to Lund as she asked him, "Will you mix another batch of the brew for him. It would be best to keep him sleeping awhile longer. Should feed him another glass... every few hours...." She worked to clean herself up as well, feeling a bit dizzy as she washed her hands in the bucket.

Lund nods softly as he moves to mix up the next brew, making it exactly the way she asked him to. "You should try to rest. He will need your hands to be steady. I'll call needs in to sit with him while you sleep. I also need to send out another patrol to see if they can find Lily's trail." He sighs softly as he runs his fingers through his hair. With a soft touch he guides Kiana to the door. "You will do the boy no good if you are exhausted." He sends a maid off to find Nessa while asking another to sit beside Gaisse till Nessa comes.

Kiana nods a little, not seeming all to aware of what was going on around her as he led her to the door. A moment later, her grip on his arm tightened as her legs gave out. She was only able to give out a very weak cry of his name before she was she passed out right into his arms. Thankfully he had been right there to catch her.

Lund is quick to catch his wife in his arms. He shakes his head quietly as he carries her through the halls back to their rooms. Moving carefully he lays her on the bed covering her form up gently. Sitting down on the bed beside her, he begins to stroke her cheek gently. "Rest love. That boy is going to need those steady hands if yours." With a smile be places a soft kiss on her lips.

It was touch and go for a long, agonizing month with Gaisse. Some days he was fine. Other days they feared he would not last to see the next sun rise. There were infections and relapses. It seemed whenever he made a hint of progress, he would only step back a few days later. It was not for an entire month before Kiana at last was able to declare that he would in fact survive. It would still take a long process before he was back to his old self again.

Even with the news that he would be alright in time, a black cloud still hung over the house. Lily was still missing. The trail had been lost once again and with it most people's hopes of finding Lily ever.

Gaisse is sitting up in his bed sipping at the bowl of soup he has been brought by Kiana to eat. While her declaration of his survival has brought him some little joy. The black cloud hangs heaviest over him as he spends most of his time replaying his defeat to kidnappers skills. After finishing the bowl of soup, he sets it aside as he moves to stand slowly his arm still aching from the wound he took. He keeps an eye on the door worried about getting caught once more.

----
Jas smiles as he sets the table with the meal he has prepared. It has taken him this month to figure out how he would start trying to win Lily back. This meal would be the first step into that plan. After setting everything on the table he moves to open her door ushering her out to the table. "Ive prepared a feast for you Lily."

He had terribly timing for it was in that moment that the door opened. All he could hope for was that it was not Kiana for she would give him an earful and he would be right back in that bed once more. Lucky for him, it was Angus. The man chuckled slightly as he caught Gaisse red handed. "Now what would you have done if I had been Lady Kiana?"

-------
Lily was just as firm about her promise to never speak to him again today as she had been a month ago. In fact, she had not said a single word since her passionate speech of hate a month ago. She moved about like a zombie. Her skin was growing pale as she had been locked up in her windowless room for so long. With a face of stone, she moved to the table, yanking her arm from his hold as they reached the table and sat down.

Gaisse swallows as he sees Angus and not Kiana coming through the door. "I would have feigned an interest in the rest room Angus." He moves back to the bed sitting down slowly. "I need my strength back, so I can go after Lily once more. I can beat him this time, I know I can." Sighing softly he runs his fingers through his hair.

----
Jas sighs softly as he pours her a cup of wine, then one for himself. "Lily will you still not talk to me. Things will go faster for both of us if you were to start speaking again." He moves to brush his fingers against her cheek offering her a tender smile as he looks into her eyes.

Angus went to the table to pour them each a glass of wine, "Lad you are going to need more then the ability to walk across a room before you face off with Jas once more. I trained him myself and I know what he is capable of. He's good. Was my best student. It's a shame he went bad like this for he had a promising future ahead of him." He came and handed Gaisse the wine, "You need more training before you face him."

---
Her eyes are still as filled with rage as they were the day he had struck down Gaisse. With a slightly growl, she rose up her hand to bat his off and away from her cheek like she always did when he tried to make contact with her. After that, she just turned her attention away from him and towards picking at the food on her plate.

Gaisse's eyes go wide at Angus' words. "You did a great job at training him then. It seems my own trainer left a few things out during our sessions." Taking the glass he sips from it slowly as he glances towards the door. "Is he a blademaster?" It is a simple question, but one that holds alot of answers for the young man. The next question is just as important to him. "Will you train me Angus?"

-----
Jas clenches his fist together for a moment as he tries to let himself calm down. "Lily you need to say something. This silence of yours is just childish at this point. He is dead and you cant bring him back. You might as well just enjoy a life that we can make here." His hand moves back to her cheek rubbing softly

Angus smiles, "Of course I will you fool. Why else do you think I am here? You realize though that if you come under my wing, I'm an even stricter overseer then Lady Kiana, right? Are you sure you can take on all that I would put you through?"

----
Once more, Lily repeats the act of smacking his hand away from her face. This time though, she turned her face to look right into his eyes. There was a fire burning within hers that spoke where her lips did not. Her burning eyes warned him not to touch her again before she stood, picked up her chair and moved it to the other side of the table away from him.

Gaisse straightens slightly as he takes a moment for himself. "I can and will. I would wade into hell itself if it would get Lily back to me." He stands slowly moving to grab a shirt wincing slightly still sore. "I'm ready to begin now." His body is still stiff as he pulls the shirt on leaving it untucked for now. His next move is to begin searching for his boots. He ignores the throbbing and aching of his body wanting to get started as soon as possible.

------
Jas feels the anger burning through him as she turns those eyes upon her. Snatching up his glass he downs the wine in just a couple of gulps. As he begins to refill the glass staring hard at Lily. "Would you be giving that man the silent treatment if he had killed me, or would you have rewarded him?"

Angus reaches his boots first, holding him from him and pointing to the bed, "You are no where near ready to start the training you will need to win her back. Step one of your training is to learn patience. Into the bed and listen to Lady Kiana. If you push yourself before your body is ready to allow such behavior you will only break it once again."

-----
She just kept on giving it to him. It was honestly a silly question for him to ask. Gaisse was not the one kidnapping a woman now, was he? Gaisse was above killing someone that didn't deserve it. He had far more honor to do that. He showed that by letting Jas go about freely the first time when he could have told others about the first abduction. Gaisse had been a far better person then Jas.

Gaisse blinks as his boots are snatched up by Angus. A flash of anger and frustration all go through him in a span of a few moments. "Lily has been gone for a month now. A whole month that I have spent in this bed healing. Other then a few aching muscles I am ready to begin now Angus."

----
Jas bites back an angry remark watching Lily for a moment. With the thud of his chair hitting the ground his anger has broken through. Sliding over the table he jerks lily to her feet, his hand grabbing her chin roughly as he begins kissing her.
