Lily smiles and puts on the a very civil face. This suddenly was more like a business transaction then kidnapping as it had originally been. She takes the glass with thanks, "1,000 peices of gold sounds reasonable. As long as I remain unharmed that is." She rubbed her hand over the cut on her cut, "We'll not count this little nick. Make your list and I'll let you know what is in the means of my family to give you."

The leader nods softly as the move to lock the door again. "We are going to make alot of money lads." He rubs his hands together greedily as he moves to sit down at the table. Taking some paper they begin to write out there demands. The other two stand at his shoulder starting to suggest things they should ask for. Each item is more extravagant then the last proving their greed.

-----
Gaisse stirs slightly having fallen asleep. A shiver runs through him most of his clothing still damp and cold. Moving to Kiana's side, his hand touches her forehead trying to see if she is getting warm yet. Next comes a few more pieces of wood on the fire, then a quick check of the storm that is still raging outside.

After the door is closed, Lily lets out a relieved sigh and sits back upon the bed once again. Once more she had successfully fought them off with her wit. She was getting worn out from the battle with them, not knowing how much longer she could go at it with them. She started to pray that by now, her disappearance had been realized and someone was on their way to save her. She could hear the rain outside the walls of her prison, but she did not loose hope someone would find her and save her.

----
Kiana's head was a normal temperature but his touch only made her groan a bit and flinch away as if the slightest of touches caused her discomfort.

Gaisse grits his teeth as she flinches away from his touch. He sighs softly as he realizes the storm seems to be settling over them biding its time, even as it dumps the rain on them in what seems to be buckets. Turning back to face the fire he sighs softly shaking his head slowly. Taking one of his saddle bags, he begins to dig for food even as his thoughts turn to Lily. His eyes close as he gives up a silent prayer hoping for her safe return from this man.

After awhile, Kiana seemed at last stirred enough to awaken. Rolling onto her side, she opened her eyes and looked towards Gaisse as she sat on the other side of the flames. She just let her mind wake itself up before she moved to try and sit up, finding she could not muster the strength for it and just laid back down. "How long have I been out?" she asked in a hoarse voice.

Gaisse shivers softly as he tries to warm himself up beside the fire. He turns surprised by her waking as he moves back to her side. "You have only been out for a few hours Lady Kiana." He swallows softly as he lifts his water skin. "Try not to sit up my lady, you took quite a nasty spill." His eyes stay diverted as he offers the water to her. "I..I started a fire, but Im afraid your arent dressed right now. Had a teacher who told me you could die from cold clothing. Its the only thing I could think of."

She took the water as he helped her, "You did everything exactly as you should have." She reached up and felt the lump on the back of her head, flinching once more with the sudden jolt of pain. "My husband is going to be VERY angry with me when he finds out what I went and did..."

Gaisse nods softly as he wraps a blanket around himself. "I will tell Lord Lund I asked you to go out with me. You need not take the fault for this Lady Kiana." His head turns at another flash of lightning and thunder reveal the cave. "The rain hasnt let up since I brought us into the cave. The trail is surely gone by now." He sighs shaking his head again fighting sleep.

Kiana would have shook her head if it did not hurt so much, "No, I will tell him the truth. He will be cross with me, but I have ways of making him forgive me that you do not Lord Gaisse." There was an amused smile upon her lips as she looked towards the entrance of the cave at the night beyond. "The trail might be gone but it lead us part of the way. At least we have more clues then we did if we had not followed the trail when we did."

Gaisse turns his head away coughing into his hand as he turns away from her smile. "I see, well It would seem best to let you deal with him. As soon as the storm clears, Im going to take you back to the castle. Then Im going to try and find Lily again." His back is turned to Kiana as he moves to sit in front of the cave, staring out into the rain. "You should try to rest for now."

Kiana did not argue with him as she settled herself a bit more comfortable upon the hard floor of the cave. "The storm can't last like this much longer. It's pushing itself to hard it will tire itself out in no time. Don't worry.... we'll find her..."

Gaisse keeps his back turned to Kiana rubbing his chin softly. "Why would he take her away from the manor? Was he that bitter of a man or was he that enamored with Lily? His hands tremble with the cold as the lightning flashes outside the entrance. "If I had walked her back to her rooms, then she would have been safe Lady Kiana."

Kiana sighed, talking to him even as she was clearly slipping back into a place of sweet sleep. "There is no telling what was racing though the man's head. He could still think there is a chance with Lily for all we know. We won't know until we find him. I know we will though..." she yawned and settled more firmly under sleeps hold, "I know we will..."

His head comes around as he glances back at Kiana watching her sleep. Sighing softly he places his sword next to his leg as he takes a position closer to the entrance. His eyes close as he decides to get some sleep his body closer to the entrance, meaning anyone who comes in would have to get past him first. As he begins to drift asleep his mind thinks of Lily, her name gets whispered from his lips as he succumbs to sleep.

The night passed uneventful for both parties out in the wilderness. Lily spent her night sleeping off and on as she sat up in the bed, her back to the wall. She wanted to be prepared to defend herself should the door fly open at anytime and the men that held her decided that it was no longer time for peaceful negotiations.

Meanwhile in the cave, Kiana slept through the night but while she was conscious come morning, a fever was starting to run as she had become a bit chilled to the bone. She was still in enough of a right mind to tell Gaisse he had to get her back to the manor so she could get her herbs to tend herself. They needed to regroup with the others back home as well and plan a course of action now that they had a lead in the direction Lily had been taken off in.

The men end up falling asleep around the table, having drunk themselves silly. Two of them snore loudly enough to be heard through the door as the sun starts to rise up through the windows. As they sleep Jas rides up slowly trying to make himself sound cautious. Slipping off the horse he moves towards the door pausing to listen.

-----
Gaisse jerks away as Kiana begins talking to him. Nodding softly as he moves to step out of the cave. "Ill ready the horses while you get dress Lady Kiana." His body is stiff as he moves to the horses keeping his eyes from entering the cave. Glancing away from the manor he checks the ground seeing just mud and rain before him. He sighs in frustration as he rubs his stallions head.

Lily found herself eventually scratching at the wooden frame of the bed. She didn't know why she did it. Likely just boredom as well as a mix of her being overly tired. She scratched in her name along with some random little designs as she wondered how much longer this would take until her fate was decided.

-----
Kiana was thankful for his leaving her bed for she didn't know how she could put on a strong face for him. The fever was creeping up upon her at a much faster rate then she was leading him to believe. It was hard to even dress herself let alone then get up and walk to meet him outside near the horses. By the time she was there with him again though, she put a slight smile back upon her lips.

Jas smiles as he thinks of the grand way in which Lily will greet and thank him for coming to her rescue. He kicks the door in to the cabin startling the three men awake. Before they can clear their heads he is there driving his sword into the leader. The next two fall with ease as he cuts one open, and beheads the last. Turning he calls out Lily's name as if he has been searching for her.

----
Gaisse smiles at Kiana for a moment. "You arent looking so well m'lady." He moves to help her on to her horse keeping a steady hand on her leg for a moment. Slipping on to his own horse he watches her for a moment turning to lead the horses back towards the manor. He sighs looking down at the muddy ground. "The trail is completely gone."

Lily jumps up as she hears the commotion from the next room. She hesitantly creeps towards the door as the fighting went on and eventually settled down again. When she heard her name called out, she found herself completely and totally shocked. Was that.... it couldn't be... "Jas?" she asked as she waited a few feet from the door still.

---
Kiana kept her smile plastered upon her face even as she found herself clinging to the saddle to dear life. "I am well enough Gaisse..." she told him. As they moved, she could not focus on much more then moving forward. Her mind was getting cloudy. "The trail might be gone but we followed it much further then anyone else did.... don't loose hope..."

Turning towards the door he smiles as he hears Lily's voice. "Lily step back from the door. I have to kick it in." He smiles as he moves to the door kicking it in as hard as he can. As soon as the door crumples in he rushes in holding his sword still. "Lily, I almost didnt find this place. There was a rain storm last night. It washed out a few of the roads that lead here." He moves to her pressing his hand against her cheek.

----
Gaisse turns back at the sound of her voice. Slowing his horse slightly he moves to ride beside her trying to make sure she stays upright in her saddle. "Your husband is going to kill me for letting you get sick." Sighing softly he glances back over his shoulder watching the trail behind them.

Lily stands, completely dumbstruck that she is facing Jas in this moment. What was he doing here? How did he find her? Her gaze moved beyond him and through the opening door to see the dead men. Then her gaze moved back to him once again. She was likely not giving him the exact reaction he was looking for, "Jas... I don't understand. What are you doing here? How did you even know I was taken?"

------
Kiana is unable to really register that Gaisse had moved up along side her at first. She catches him glancing back, knowing where his heart lies. "Gaisse... go. You might still be able to uncover the trail. I will get back on my own. Chances might still be good."

Jas smiles as he sheathes his blade moving to caress her cheek tenderly. "I overheard a friend in the guard talking about you being taken from the manor. I know this land very well, so I just tracked these men after they entered the woods." He wraps his arms around her waist holding her tightly against him. His clothing is wet from having spent the night in the rain. "I waited all night for a chance to burst in and save you." He tilts her head up looking into her eyes. "I made you a promise to keep you safe. I keep my word Lily."

-----
Gaisse shakes his head softly. "No, If I were to turn back now then I would have to people angry at me. Your husband for letting you travel back alone. Then Lily when she found out about letting you go back alone." He smiles softly at her as he tries to steady Kiana in her saddle. "Were almost back, I can see the fires from the village."

Something.... didn't seem right. Lily could not place her finger upon what it was. Not at that moment at least. She just let out a sigh of relief before smiling warmly, a friends smile at Jas and pushing herself from his arms. "I doesn't matter now I suppose. All that matters it you came in time." She laughed slightly, "I think I might even make it in time for my own wedding still. Thank you Jas."

------
"Then I am sure people will have already spotted us and will be riding out to meet us in no time...." she weakly pointed towards the manor walls and the guards already moving into action, "See? I will be fine Gaisse. This could be your last chance before you are swept up in whatever they plan within the manor to find her."

Jas blinks slightly looking at her in confusion. "You still wish to go back and marry him? He didn't even bother to come looking for you. Even now he sits in the manor doing nothing while your life was in danger." He moves towards her pressing his hand against her cheek. "I risked everything to come after you. I still love you Lily."

-----
Gaisse grits his teeth together for a moment. "Alright, I'm going to go back out. I'll return as soon as I've found her." He turns nudging his stallion into a run as he heads back the way they came, his thoughts focused on Lily.

Lily shook her head, pulling it from his touch, "Jas... we have been over this...." she moved toward the door a moment, "I am marrying Gaisse. And how do you not know he has not come out looking for me? You said it yourself, there was a storm last night. You know know him Jas. Not like I do. I know he is worried sick by now and it likely out here looking for me right now."

-----
Kiana keeps the horse moving forward, glancing back until she sees that Gaisse has gotten back into the edge of the woods once again. By then she turned her face forward again and could see riders heading for her. She wrapped the riegns of the horse around her wrist, and let herself lean forward to rest upon the horse's mane. "Keep moving forward girl... good... good girl...." she murmured to the horse as she felt herself slipping.
