She smiled softly, "But the pout does not effect me. I could hold strong for use both on the matter. She might have the pout but can her pout hold up to your wife? And how cross your wife will be if you go running about the countryside against her wishes? You wife the woman that sleeps in your bed at night with you?" She didn't give him a pout but an example of the kind of look he would be getting is he crossed her.
 
He moves towards her smiling softly as he places his hand against her cheek. "I love you so much Kiana." He leans in pressing his lips to hers softly. "I hope you dont ever forget how much I love you." He continues to stroke her cheek tenderly as he glances down at Sarah. Leans in to his daughter kissing her forehead. "Are you looking forward to seeing Aunt Lily little one?"
 
The baby's little hands came out from under the blanket and started to reach for him. Kiana could only laugh as she urged him to take the babe from her arms, "I think at the moment she is more interested in seeing her father then her aunt."

Meanwhile, Lily had picked out a dress that was nice yet casual for a private meal. Her hair she found the time to put half up as she waited for Gaisse to arrive for her. She was starting to realize this night could be one of the last nights she got to spend with Lund and Kiana alone before leaving here. And who knew how long it would be before returning once again. She wanted to make sure it was perfect. Just perfect and relaxed.
 
Lund takes the babe from Kiana making faces at her as he cradles her close. "Perhaps she is, but she will be even happier when her aunt is here paying attention to her. She loves the attention I think." He moves to the chair sitting down slowly as he holds his face close continuing to make faces for her laughing as she smiles.

Gaisse takes one last look in the mirror straightening his shirt before leaving his rooms. He makes his way through the halls slowly glancing around slowly studying the manor halls nodding slightly. Hesitation hits him as he arrives at Lily's door a nagging thought crossing his mind as he wonders what Lily discussed with that man in the cabin or what truly happened. He swallows shaking his head as he forces the thought away before knocking on her door.
 
Lily is quick to come to the door and open it, smiling at Gaisse on the other side. She just smiled at him a moment before bobbing a light curtsy. "Hello again Gaisse. You look handsome this evening..."

The baby smiles all right but then her little hand reaches to attempt and grab him being that he had placed himself so very much in her reach. Kiana smiles as she watches, her heart warming at the sight before her hand goes to be stomach and it falls again. She still did not know if she carried the child of that monster Jak and the longer it became since it all happened, the more worried she became. If nothing happened within the next few days... well she knew what her husband he told her but at the end of the day it still left her worried.
 
Gaisse bows slowly before Lily having fully squashed his errant thought. "And you are looking quite beautiful my dear." He smiles as he takes her hand letting his fingers brush over the knuckles lightly. "I take it you have had plenty of time to get yourself ready for our dinner with your brother."

Lund laughs as he lets Sarah touch his face. "So eager to explore the world already arent you? Dont you worry Ill let you see all of it that you want." He continues to play with Sarah not seeing Kiana touch her stomach or the same hand fall away. "She is so happy love. So young and already so willing to reach out to the world." He playfully shakes her arm being gentle before leaning in to kiss Sarah's forehead softly.
 
Lily blushes slightly at his approval of her appearance as well how he ran his fingers over her hand. Part of her yearned to him to kiss her hand as she knew kissing her upon the lips was not something that could be done in the open like they currently were. Her heart only yearned for the feel of his lips any were at all upon her at the moment. "And I see you are ready as well. Shall we then? They will wonder what keeps us soon."

Kiana turns her face in time to see the kiss and feels that ache within her once again. And ache yet her heart warming once again at the same time. How could she not smile as she stood and moved to come and kneel beside them, the two more imporant people in her world, learning in to kiss Sarah's head as well.
 
Gaisse smiles up at Lily as his lips are pressed to her hand ever so softly. He keeps his eyes locked on hers a smile curling his lips slightly. "Of course. We shouldn't keep them waiting not after your pout got us into dinner with them." The smile is still there on his lips at his words the playfulness evident there.

Lund lifts his hand to Kianas cheek frowning slightly. "Love is everything alright. You look worried about something." His finger curls under her chin turning her head to face him fully as he looks deeply into her eyes. In his own eyes is reflected his worry for her, but also a deep love.
 
Lily laughed as she took his arm with her own, "Yes I don't want to have wasted a perfectly good pout after all." Together they made their way down the halls and to Kiana and Lund's rooms, knock and waiting to be allowed entrance for the meal.

Kiana sighed, her lips just starting to part to speck, when the knock rings at the door. "I'll get that," she says as she quickly takes the distraction for all it's worth and heads to open it, smiling as she admits Lily and Gaisse. "We were starting to wonder what was keeping you. Hello please, come in. Come in."
 
Gaisse smiles as he pats her arm softly. "Yes we wouldnt want that now would we." He offers Kiana another smile as she opens the door bowing slightly to her. "We are sorry were late Lady Kiana. I had to make sure that my shirt wasnt to wrinkled before we arrived for dinner." He takes a step back letting Lily step in first.

Lund looks up rocking Sarah as Kiana moves to open the door. He tilts his head back to pay attention to his daughter, but still listening to Kiana at the door. He puts on a smile as he looks up seeing the pair at the door. "There you are to. I was wondering what was keeping you. Dinner was starting to get cold."
 
Lily's face lights up the moment she sees Sarah in Lund's arms and breaks away from Gaisse to rush over to them, instantly reaching out to pry her from Lund's hands. "Let me see my niece. Hello little one!" Once she is settled into Lily's arms, she starts to toy with her finger, playing a little game of tug of war over it. When the baby smiled, Lily gasped and her own smile got bigger, "When did she start doing THAT?"

Kiana laughed slightly, "Just within the last few days. Now that she's learned it, she can't seem to stop doing it." She turned towards Gaisse and smiled, motioning to the table, "Come in, have a seat. A wrinkled shirt is not something to be worried about here. It's just the four of us and a baby that cares not what you look like."
 
Gaisse smiles softly enjoying the scene of seeing Lily rush to her nephew. "I see then. Well its good to relax now and then." He shakes his head softly as he moves to the table sitting down slowly. He tilts his head watching Lily before turning to Kiana smiling softly. "Would you like some win Lady Kiana?" He lifts the bottle pouring himself a glass offering to fill her another for her.

Lund smiles softly as he stands up stretching slowly. "She does enjoy smiling. I dont think shes very often without a smile." He smiles as he moves to sit at the table watching Lily still. "You had best get in what time you can sister. She is growing up to quickly." He moves nibble at some of the food watching Lily with a smile.
 
Lily walks a slowly around the room, rocking the baby and toying with her as she sighs, "I know! And to think of all I will miss with her. By the next time I see her... she'll be walking and talking," she pauses and smiles in Kiana and Lund's direction, "Perhaps even have a little brother or sister with her..."

Kiana nodded as she took her own seat and held out her glass to Gaisse, "Why yes thank you." It was a good thing as well for once it was filled and Lily spoke of more children for Kiana, she needed a good drink to calm that worry that still lingered under the surface.
 
Gaisse smiles politely as he begins to fill a glass for Kiana. Turning towards Lily he lifts another glass offering to fill it for her. "Would you like some as well darling." He takes a sip from his glass smiling as he watches Lily move around the room so quickly. He leans over towards Kiana. "Is she always so full of energy like this? I can barely keep up with her now."

Lund smiles as he moves to fill his own glass with wine. He smiles watching Lily move around the room. "It may be sometime before she has a brother or sister. Perhaps she will have a cousin to play with first?" He smirks at Lily watching her reaction hoping it will shock her even if just alittle.
 
Lily laughs as she moves to settle the baby down into her cradle before heading to the table to take up her own seat. First she looks to Gaisse responding with a, "Yes please. Thank you." Then she turned her attention to her brother's comment about a cousin for Sarah. "I am not even married yet. If I know you two you... well..." she paused not wanting to talk of THAT kind of private matters in front of Gaisse.

Kiana was quick to have finished off her first glass before putting it back down. She had memories of the last time she had drowned herself in wine and looked to Lund, "Could you pour me water love?"
 
Gaisse nods softly a faint redness to his cheeks at Lily's words. He quickly pours her glass filling it as he moves to drink deeply from his own glass. He takes Lund's lead moving to nibble on some of the food as well. Turning to Kiana he smiles softly. "So how is it that you came to meet? I dont believe I know which house you come from Lady Kiana?"

Lund nods as he refills her glass with water. He lets his hand touch against Kiana's for a moment squeezing it. "Even with the way we are you will be married soon. Then you will get to see how much fun it is."
 
Lund gets double slapped. One on each arm as Lily hits him from the left while Kiana smacks him from the right. Both of them glaring at him. Kiana then turns her attention to Gaisse, clearing her throat as she looked for the right way to explain her background to him without, well shocking him. "I'm not from any house. You see, Lund and I met while he was serving in the war on the other side of the mountains. I was a priestess in a temple there."
 
Lund laughs softly as he is slapped from both sides. He glances towards his sister then towards his wife frowning slightly. "I didnt think there was a cause to slap me either of you." He glances at Kiana already planning a way to get back at her for the slap his playful mind already in works. He sips his glass continuing to nibble on some of the food.

Gaisse blinks slightly at her words. His eyes widen slightly as he takes a sip from his glass. "You are a priestess? Which god did you serve if I may be so bold to ask?" He refills his own wine glass watching her slightly. "Ive known a few priestess, but they always seem to be to obsorbed into their worship to settle down roots."
 
Kiana shook her head slightly, "I did not have much of a choice in the matter of continuing with my worship. The war took my village and destroyed it. The key word is 'was.' I was a priestess though only because I fell into it. I lost all my family in my youth and was sent to live in the temple. I carried on my family's work as a healer while I was there." She realized that she had not even ever spoken with Lund over her life in the temple. Had she ever told him who she had been a follower of? "We were followers of Dara, Goddess of Wisedom."
 
Lund smiles softly as he moves towards Lily sipping his wine quickly. Glancing over his shoulder he smiles as he watches Kiana keeping Gaisse busy for the moment. Kneeling down beside his sister he sips his wine as he leans in keeping his voice pitched low for just his sister to hear. "Lily I need to know what happened out there to you? Did...did Gaisse do anything to you?" He glances towards Kiana and Gaisse as he sips his wine.

Gaisse smiles softly as he nods quickly. "I have to admit I take after my mother when it comes to the gods. I dont try to anger them, but I do pay homage when possible." He smiles as he sips his wine nibbling on his food still as he watches her enjoying his simple conversation with Kiana. "Dara I believe was her favorite. She always took me with her when she travalled to Dara's temple."
 
"Dara has many followers indeed," she commented, noticing Lund approaching Lily out of the corner of her eye she tried to keep Gaisse's attention towards here. "What was the temple like you visited? I never was able to venture to any other temple let alone another Temple of Dara's. Was is a humble place or some grand palace like temple?"

Lily remained still and quiet somehow as Lund spoke to her. A nerviousness was clearly within her a moment as she could not look him in the eye at first, but when he spoke of Gaisse doing something, her eyes locked to his at once and were strong, showing the truth in what she said, "No Lund not at all. Gaisse is a perfect gentleman and he would do nothing to hurt me." She looked hesitant once more, "I told you what happened..."
 
Lund smiles softly as he touches Lily's hand. "Please dont think Im a fool just because Ive been bed ridden the last few weeks. If you will not tell me the truth then I will ride out with Angus and find the truth. I would prefer if you told me here and now." He sighs softly as he takes a drink from his wine glass. "Tell me the truth of the matter and it will go no further then Kiana and I. I give you my word on that sister."

Gaisse leans back slightly as he remembers the temple his mother took him to. "It was a simple temple. My father didnt like indulging my mother when it came to worshipping. He relented though so she would have a shrine to her goddess." He laughs slightly rubbing his temple. "It may have been small but my mother helped the priestess take good care of it."
 
Lily started to become a little distressed as he spoke of riding out. What would they find? Would they find Jas? And if so what would they do to him or even worse she wondered would Jas do anything to hurt her brother? Could Lund take Jas in his condition? Was he still weak? "Lund... there is nothing out there TO find..." she tried to reason with him one more time.

"Only one priestess?" she asked, wondering exactly how small the temple was. Their temple had been little but they still had a dozen followers within the temple. "I am sure she was very grateful for your mother's help. Did others visit the place often?"
 
Lund sighs softly as he starts to stand slowly his side aching slightly. "Fine Lily. I will let you keep your story of what you say happened. Angus and I will ride out there tomorrow. He is an excellent tracker and will be able to follow the horses tracks." He takes a deep drink from his glass shaking his head slightly. "I had hoped you would at least trust me with the truth Lily."

Gaisse laughs softly as he nods not noticing Lund and Lily talking softly. "Yes just one priestess. She was very kind. I remember her fondly because of the ways he would deal with my antics." He sips his wine offering her some as he notices her glass is empty slightly. "She still runs the temple though it slightly larger now. A few others have stepped in to help her with the daily runnings."
 
"Why don't you think I am telling you the truth?" she whispered to him almost urgently. "I have told you it and you should let it be at that. Going out will only bring you nothing but egg on your face that you were wrong about me and will have angered your wife." She lifted her drink and sipped it if only to steady herself a bit and keep herself from spilling the beans on the truth, "Do you really want that?"

Kiana only accepts the wine to look long enough to see what Lund and Lily were up to. The conversation seemed to be failing between them and she was unsure how much longer she could keep Gaisse distracted for with her talk of temples and goddesses. "Perhaps one day I will visit this temple. How far a ride is it? I am embarrassed to say I have neglected my teachings since the temple fell. I don't even know who the temples nearby worship."
