"I have one," she says on a sigh before shaking her head a moment, "But in all honestly, I have not gone riding in years. It's likely covered in dirt and cobwebs by now. I don't even know where it is. Perhaps a stable hand will know?" She sipped at her wine once again as they walked in the pleasant night air, glancing up at the stars in the sky, though the bright moon left many of them to be dark.

It amazed her how both Lund and the baby seemed at peace within one another presence. She wished at the moment she could feel the same way. Glancing down as Sarah as she slept, Kiana worried. Within the week she would know for certain is she carried another babe or not. She knew all that Lund had said and she really felt he meant it. But would it be the same afterward? If he looked down at a child and saw his brother in the child, could he honestly accept that? And she would regret robbing herself of the joys of experiencing Sarah's firsts. With two babies to take care of... how could she focus on her little Sarah. Her first words, her first steps. With a sigh, she rose up and moved to but Sarah into her crib, praying the child would stay silent for awhile long as she climbed into the space on the bed beside Lund though she kept a space between them.
