Lund catches his breath as he listens to her words. He moves to the edge of the bed gritting his teeth together as he looks away from her. "When I saw you up there on the block...I had to do something. Even if it made you hate me for the rest of our lives." He rubs his hands together as he shakes his head again looking up towards her slowly. "I was scared to death that someone else would buy you and spend the last of their life just beating your spirit away." He swallows heavily as he glances at her. "I Love you Kiana and I would give up my title for you if you asked." He looks into her eyes as he speaks watching her.

She smiled up at him, meeting his eyes from across the small space between them. "It's not about the title Lund. It has never been really. I could care less about a title. It's that.... I don't want to run. I want to live our lives in peace, not constantly looking over our shoulders, looking for someone with a knife in his hand to come stabbing at us with it. To not be able to let our children run freely but to need to keep a constant watch upon them. I can't even walk down the halls of our home by myself..."

"Dont worry darling. Im going to assure that I promise." He stands up slowly moving towards her with a tender smile. He moves to her kneeling beside her. His hand touches her leg as he leans in keeping his back straight. He takes her hand kissing it then leans in to kiss Sarah's head. "Besides in a few years our children will have their siblings to run around with pranking the staff while they do their jobs." He moves carefully to sit on the couch holding her hand.

If the baby were not in her hands, she would have gotten up and stopped him from moving and aggravating his wound. She smiled a little as she rested her head upon his shoulder as he sat carefully beside her, "Now... running around pranking people sounds like it would be one of your traits, not mine."

He smiles as he runs his fingers through her hair tenderly. "Me running around pranking people. Well I feel like I should be insulted for something like that." He lets out a soft laugh as he leans in kissing her cheek softly. "Although I do tend to remember the chief cook getting his salt and sugar mixed up once when a visiting noble was here." He shakes his head softly as he thinks back on the prank. "I was the only one who got away with that one. Jak stayed to long trying to make the prank more eleborate."

She gasped a little before the gasp turned into a light giggle, "You were the wise on then for you knew to flee before getting caught and needing to face the music for your little crime. That though it the mark of a good prankster I assume. Being able to get away with your pranks without answering for them." You took his chin in her hand and made him look right into her eyes, "You will NOT teach our children how to get away with their pranks."

He smiles softly as he spreads his arms watching her. "Now why would I teach our children how to get away with it. That wouldnt be half the fun as busting them for it." He leans in kissing her lips softly as he leans back slowly. "Besides I couldnt show them all of my old tricks. That would just be abit old I think. Id have to teach them some new tricks I think." He takes her hand giving it a soft squeeze. "Plus how else would you keep yourself on your toes."

She groaned a little, "A life with you is proving to be a lot more stressful then a life in the temple." She shrugged a little as she detached the baby from her breast and moved her to her shoulder, patting on her back a little, "But at least it's a far more interesting life at times."

Smiling warmly he leans over to kiss Sarah's head softly. "Yes think of how bored your life would have been in that temple darling. Nothing but prayers all day. And you certainly wouldnt have had this." On those last few words her reaches over to cup her breast squeezing it softly. "Or this." He places a soft kiss on her lips. "Or the most important thing which you happen to be holding at this moment."

She glares a little bit at him as he grope her a little bit and kisses her, but the glare turns to a smile as he bring her attention to Sarah. "Yes... she is the greatest gift I have ever been given. You and your love are a pretty close second to her of course. And my life was not all prayers all day. I was the healer. I left the temple often to tend to the sick and those that needed me."

Lund blows her a kiss as he wraps an arm around her shoulder squeezing her close. "Well one can only guess what a priestess does with her time all day." He brushes his fingers along her cheek before dipping to touch Sarah's head. "Im glad I have both of you in my life. Going to be all I can do not to have white hair with all of our children." He places another kiss on her cheek before standing and moving towards the bed once more.

She was glad to have them both as well. After he got up and went back to the bed, she was able to finish tending to Sarah, returning the baby to her crib, handing her a little stuffed doll to toy with while Kiana went to him again, "I should check on your wound and clean it up. Restitch it if I must."

He lays back on the bed rolling to his side to give her a better view to the wound. "Do you really think that I've been that rough on my wound darling." He turns his head watching her smiling at how she cares for Sarah. "Your a perfect mother my darling." he blows a kiss to her smiling softly as he lays his head back on the pillow closing his eyes slightly.

She sighs as she collects her healing basket she kept there in the room with her, "You men think you are so invincible all the time. Just walking around and sitting on the sofa as you have done this room can be enough to break your stitches. Let alone going and walking about and sitting at the table with it. You see? There is blood on your bandage," she told him as she pulled his shirt up and went right to work removing the bandage to restitch him tight and re-bandage him so he was all set from his duel in the morning.

He shakes his head slowly. "I promise you love it hurts far worse then your chastising does." he winces feeling her start to restitch the wound. "In the morning before the duel I will need you to do whatever you can to numb the pain. I need Jak to think I'm not hurt when I enter the arena." He lays his head back down going quiet as she works.

"He was there when you were stabbed. I believe he knows you are indeed hurt. Hell he knows exactly where the wound is doesn't he? He can exploit it." She made sure the wound was tightly closed with her little stitches before she cut the thread and started to spread a cream over the area, "This will sting at first but it was cool the area after a moment and sooth it."

He arches his back at the first feel of the cream on his skin. "I'm not sure, but I know his allies will tell him where it is. It's the first thing he will try to exploit most likely." He let's out a quick curse shaking his head slightly. "Maybe he will focus to much on trying to exploit my sound. Besides he might be hung over tomorrow. You know how he likes to party."

"This will likely be the one night he makes sure he is quite prepared for the task ahead," rubbing hand over the area soft, she started to get the bandage ready, "How does it feel now? Cooler?" she looked at her supplies and thought over what kind of cream she could put together from her supplies to numb the pain for him.

He nods softly lifting his head slowly. "As always darling it feels better after your tender care." He cranes his head studying her for a moment. "I want to ask you something Kiana. If it was you out there tomorrow and you won.... Would you show Jak mercy after all he's done?" His eyes search her face as he waits for an answer from her.

Kiana worked to bandage him in a chilling quiet for a few moments before she sighed and started to speak. "I don't know. It's not in my nature to want to see death but at the same time, to leave him capable of hurting us and the baby and any future babies is just a terrible danger." She paused again, "If there was a way to spare him but make sure he is incapable of hurting us.... that would be the way of it for me. I just don't know what that way is."

Lund lays his head back on the pillow his mind beginning to drift away. "I'm not sure of a way to do it either. I have no desire to see him continue to be a danger to you or our children. Yet he has to many allies to be simply excuted. It could lead to open ware." He rubs his temple slowly as he goes over everything in his head.

She can sense his weariness starting to take over, she started to rub her hands over his back, wanting to calm him down and ease him into a relaxed enough state that he could sleep. He needed to be well rested for the morning. She was going to stay up through the night and make sure he kept off his wound as well as made sure the baby did not disturb him at all. She has slept through the afternoon and evening. She could remain awake.

He smiles softly as he shifts alittle more to give her better access to his back. "If you keel that up love I'm going to fall asleep." He let's out a gentle groan enjoying the feel of her hands working his back. "I love you Kiana." A soft smile is plastered on his face as he begins to drift off the work of her hands helping to send him along.

She leans down to kiss his cheek from behind him, whispering into his ear while her hands still massaged over his back, fully intending to put him into a blissful state of sleep. "I love you too my husband. You are my very heart inside me."

He smiles at her words and kiss to his cheek. He is soon asleep the gentle motion of her hands putting him into an even deeper sleep then usual. His head turned away from the door but his smile still clearly seen. He has been asleep only a few moments before there is a small almost timid knock at the door.
