In loving hate

Luna looked up at him as he touched her shoulder, glad that her dress covered her shoulders so that he culdn't feel how cool her skin was currently from not feeding yet that night. When he spoke though, her smile slowly faded and she looked a little confused. Once he appologized and began leaving, a lonely look showed in her eyes and she sighed while watching him walk away. When the man that served drinks if there was anything he could get her, she shook her head while standing up. Looking around the club, she sighed again before heading for the door, easily slipping thrugh the croud and past Zenku before slipping out the door. He wouldn't be able to really notice her except for when she left the club but only a flash of pale green and white of her dress before she disappeared outside. However, the moment she stepped outside, she got the feeling of being watched and followed and she looked around before starting down the sidewalk towards her home, deciding she'd stop at a park on the way to look for someone to feed on.

Zenku was upset and mad with himself, not wanting to leave that girl. "But you know it's bad for you both if you stay." he muttered to himself. He saw a flash of color, thinking she was going to stop him. Alas, there was no Luna, nobody there at all. He started his walk home when something came over him. Something like gut instinct told him to not head home yet. Worried, he mindlessly walked, heading in the direction of the park.

Entering the park, she felt the feeling of being followed lessen and she was able to relax for a bit as she moved through the dimly lit park, using her vampiric senses to search for her 'prey'. Somewhere close to the center of the park, she spotted a man sitting beneath a light with a book in his hand and she smiled gently while beginning to approach. However, before she could lunge at him once she was within a couple of feet, he suddenly lunged at her. A moment later her scream of pain filled the air as he stabbed her with a blade, trying to aim for her heart but his aim was off by several inches. "I shall send you back to hell you demon spawn!" he said harshly, standing over her body as she coughed and gripped at the knife embedded in her chest, the one pale dress becoming stained a deep crimson that was spreading along the front.

In a daze, Zenku walked, not knowing why he even went this way. He was about to give up, turn around, but then he smelled blood. Even though he wasn't a vampire, he could tell this wasn't their work. He ran, fast to the scene, seeing a man standing over a girl. He out down the guitar, about to confront the man when he saw who it was in the floor. Luna. He couldn't believe it, his friend was dead. Angry he turned into a wolf, charging him at not even full speed. He had his arms and legs pinned, ready to kill, fangs exposed as he growled deeply.

The man began to pull out another knife when he heard the sound of paws on the gravel before grunting when he was tackled and pinned down to the ground. Shaking his head, he looked up and was more then shocked when he saw a lycan pinning him down. "So the beasts of the moon are aiding those monsters of hell then?" he said while struggling, "I never thought I'd see the day that a lycan would help their own enemy." Several feet away, Luna softly whimpered while tightening her grip on the handle of the knife still embeded in her chest, her small hands trembling a little as pain showed on her face.

Zenku roared, getting close to the man's face. "You don't attack my friends. Unlike how you attacked me years ago, I know how to fight. He reeled back, coming down on the man's jugular. Zenku didn't even flinch as he killed his first man. Worried for Luna, he quickly turned around and saw her trying to move the knife. "Don't move." He said, slightly whimpering. "I'll get you out of here safely." He grabbed a portion of her dress, dragging her onto his back. "Hang on!" He said, breaking into a run.

Hearing the dying breaths of the hunter, Luna looked over and whimpered as Zenku approached her, worried he'd be angry because she was a vampire. But she was able to relax when he spoke and she nodded slightly. As she was dragged onto his back, she cried out in pain, her hand gripping the knife tighter while one grabbed onto his fur, her pale cheeks wet with tears as he took off with her. It was hard for the young woman to breath because of the blade, but she did her best to hold on.

Zenku moved quickly, looking for a place to hide her. It was like his friend all over again. This time, he would save her, not let her die as he watched. Luna was his goal, and he'd achieve it if it meant his death. He found a place to hide her, an old hideout of his. It contained a bed and a small trunk of rations. Placing her on the bed, he reverted back to human form. Panting, he hovered over her. "Are you alright? Can you still breath?" He asked in a worried tone. He was concerned about her, already looking for needle and thread to patch her up.

As she was laid down, Luna winced and slowly released his fur before looking up at him as he hovered over her. "I-I don't know." she replied when he asked if she was alright. "I can breath... but it's hard." She was softly gasping after speaking and she looked down at the blade before closing her eyes and whimpering. "You... you have to take it out Zen-Zenku." she whispered, her hand resting on the knife.

Zenku nodded, placing his hand on the blade. He gripped it tight, placing his other hand on her chest. "This is going to hurt pretty bad, but just bear with it okay?" He asked gently. He took the blade out quickly, covering the patch with some towels he found. "Just hold that okay." He found some old needle and some string. He sterilized the needle then started to sew the open part together. "I'll take care of you, I promise." He said, continuing his dangerous work.

Luna bit back a gasp when he grabbed the handle tightly and she looked up at him as his hand rested upon her chest. She merely nodded at what he said and gripped the edges of the bed before gritted her teeth and doing her best to muffle a cry of pain when he pulls the knife out, her body shuddering in pain as she gasps for breath and whimpers. After the towels were put onto her chest, she nodded and placed her hand over the wound. She was quiet while watching him before closing her eyes as he began sewing up the wound.

As he carefully sewed her wound closed, he sighed in relief as he was successful. "Why did that man attack you?" He asked as the needle inserted into her skin. "I heard the man say something about monsters of hell, but he must be some crazy loon." For all he knew, Luna was just a human who got lucky. He smiled as he finished, putting a large patch over it to keep all the blood from flowing out. He blushed a little, grabbing a long strip of bandages. "I have to put this on you for now." He muttered, knowing he'd have to see her breasts.

Luna laid there with her eyes closed as he sewed up the wound. She knew she was really going to be in trouble with her father and brother when she didn't return home and they found out she'd been attacked. While he was sewing her up, Luna opened her eyes and looked at him as he asked why the man attacked her and she looked away. After being stabbed, being sewn up was nothing. "No... he was no loon. He knew... exactly what he was doing and what he was talking about." she said softly before looking at him again when he told her that he had to put the bandages on her and she nodded. She knew that he'd see the mark of her clan as well as the scars from being attacked by a lycan when she was younger. "B-before you do... I have something to tell you Zenku." she said softly with a wince, one of her hands going to her neck where her silver cross rested. With a rather strong pull, she snapped the chain and put it aside, knowing that he could get hurt from it.

Zenku looked at the silver chain, taking a quick glance to her eyes, slightly fearful. As she told him she had something to say, he nodded, helping her up so she sat upright. "It's okay. I think I already figured it out now." He said gently. He took the shirt and began to take it off. He saw the scars first, then the markings of her clan. He could easily identify the lycans work, but the markings were harder. "Vampire." He muttered, looking her gently in her eyes. "And I can see one of my kind hurt you."

Luna made sure that her necklace was as far from him as she possibly could before looking up at him as he helped her sit up. "You did?" she asked softly. As he helped remove some of her clothes, she swallowed and averted her eyes when her scars and her tattoo was exposed. Hearing his words, she slowly nodded. "Yes." she whispered before looking him in the eyes. "Please don't be angry with me Zenku. I wasn't lying earlier about the way I felt. I do believe that we should judge by the way we act and not who we are." His words on seeing that one of his kind had hurt her, she swallowed and nodded while lightly placing her hand against part of the scar. "Yes." she breathed before wincing slightly.

Zenku didn't say anything else. He grabbed the bandages and started to go over her chest. He was gentle, moving carefully over her body to not injure her further. As he came close to finishing, he started to speak once more. "You are very kind. And the second vampire to ever say those words to me." As he finished, he looked at her with the same smile he had before. "I am not upset. A little surprised, sure, but I have no direct grudge against you. A girl like yourself should be more wary though. Things could have been much worse."

She bit her lip as he began wrapping her chest, closing her eyes as a look of pain forming on her face but she remained still so he could wrap the bandages around her. Once done, she slowly laid back with a groan before looking at him. "Thank you." she said softly with a small smile. At the mention of things being much worse, she lightly touched where the bandage and looked at him. "I know it could of been. A few more inches to the left and I would of been dead." she told him. "I should of gone at him from behind instead of from the front. That's... how I usually feed. I went from the front because moving behind would of caused too much noise."

"Just be more careful, promise?" He asked, finishing up. When he had finished, Zenku begam to blush again, realizing he had seen her topless. "Er...Um...You can put...your shirt back on now..." He stuttered looking out the window. He didn't want to see her like that as she out the shirt on, so he thought of other things he could be doing until then.

Luna slowly nodded with a small smile. "Okay. I will." she said softly. Once he finished bandaging her up, she slowly sat up again with a wince, one of her hands going to her chest where she'd been stabbed and she sighed befre she looked down at her clothing. Part of her dress was torn from the knife while the front was covered in blood. The young woman grimaced before she slowly pulled on the shirt that went beneath the dress before pulling the dress up and tying the straps to it. "I'm done." she said softly before slowly laying down again.

Once she had finished and lay back down, Zenku turned to pick up the bloody mess around her. He didn't know if she felt cold or not, so he grabbed a blanket and covered her in it once he finished. With a sigh and nothing else to do, he sat down close to her. "I'll keep you safe, you need to rest, let the wounds heal. He smiled lightly, his face looking much more mature than he appeared physically in the moonlight. Out of instinct to protect, he took on a brother-like role, keeping his promise as he never left her side.

Luna was silent as Zenku began picking up the things around her and she let her hand rest on her chest. It still hurt, but her body was slowly beginning to heal. It wasn't going to heal anywhere as fast as it should of because of her blood loss and she hadn't been able to feed, so it would probably take a few days to heal completely. As he covered her up with a blanket, she sighed before looking at him again and she smiled gently. "Thank you." she whispered after he told her that he'd keep her safe. Slowly she began to fall asleep. As she did, she looked so much more peaceful and younger, though she was unnaturally pale with speckles of blood on her face from the attack.

Zenku smiled at the vampire, watching her fall asleep. Once done, he wiped away some of her blood from her face, being gentle to not wake her. He sealed off the room from light and his body shifted into that of a wolf's. He kept himself up, watching Luna as the day progressed. He stayed alert until evening came, where he slowly became tired. By nightfall he had fallen asleep, though it was a very light, very sensitive rest in his current form.

As he wiped away the blood on her face, Luna softly murmured in her sleep but she didn't wake up. Once he was done, she sighed and slipped into a deeper sleep. The girl slept for the rest of the night and through the entire day before she even began waking up. As she woke up, her heart began beating a little faster and her eyes fluttered before opening. For a little bit she just laid there in silence before she slowly turned her head and looked around, her eyes adjusting to be able to see in the dark of the room and she saw Zenku laying nearby sleeping.

Zenku didn't feel or even hear Luna stir. His front paws crossed, he lay his head on them. The wolf was dreaming, but could easily be disturbed. His chest rose and fell rhythmically, in cadence to his slowly beating heart. His breath.was slow, not even snorting as he slept. Uncomfortable, he switched to laying on his back for better comfort. A leg twitched as his tail swayed, thinking of something happy in his rest.

Slowly turning onto her side, Luna watched Zenku sleep with a small smile. For her entire life she'd been told that the lycans were horrible, dirty beasts that were no good and that they all should die. But here she was, laying in the same room with a wolf and he was a kind person that took care of her in her time of need. As he rolled over, she bit her lip to stiffle a giggle before propping her head up on her hand before she reached out and lightly ran her fingertips over his fur, feeling how soft and warm it was before pulling her hand back.
