Little Things That Bother You

The fact for Americans at least we only have two choices, for the next president of the United States. Though when it comes to ice cream there are thirty some flavors. I also hate how politicians millions on ads for TV and their politicians campaign, when millions of people are in need. Also third party nominees aren't even invited, to the debates. We the American people have been thrown under the bus, but entertainment has enthralled us to do anything about it.

People attempting to write about a controversial issue yet are embarrassingly ignorant about it and disgrace themselves with misspelled and missing words.

Are you a English major? I only omitted are in "Though when it comes to ice cream there are thirty some flavors". Now that is out of the way, how am I ignorant about the issue? It would be comical to believe that the third parties, cant offer us more than what were getting. Yet the only time the American people hear of a third party nominee, is on election day on the ballet. The only time a third party member won the election, was Teddy Roosevelt in the Bull Moose Party.

Hypocrites. For serious.... They come in all forms too and they can all burn.

This is a hard one. I totally agree with you about this and yet every now and again, I find myself acting or thinking in a totally hypocritical manner. This evokes a modicum of shame for me. A friend of mine says that we are all hypocritical, racist, and self-centered so we should just accept it and do our best to control it. A part of me agrees. Of course, he also feels that studying is cheating because it doesn't really prove what you learned so... you know... grain of salt and all that jazz.

Oh and I am seriously disturbed that this thread dwarfs the "Things you love" thread. <- Hypocrisy at work.

True. I gather that you're referring to the scum-sucking, life-ruining, truly-evil-at-heart hypocrites. In that case, yes. I agree with extreme prejudice.

You can't fight evil because evil doesn't play by a set of rules.

Actually, you can, but that is with simple truth and refusing to bend.

The fact that millions of women around the world allow a inflated-valued rock, a piece of femifascist propaganda, or a tripe "erotic" novel to gauge what relationships are about or "supposed to feel like"

People who are obsessed with REAL diamonds.

I'd rather have a synthetic diamond that has the same hardness/clarity but is half the price or less.

Hell, you can get a diamond made in varying colors using your hair or a loved one's hair for about 1500-3000$. That's more thoughtful and precious than going to a store where the diamond has probably been fought over before being put into that pendent or ring.

I'd like to add that I didn't attempt to write about a controversial subject, I did write about a controversial subject. Also I love how you say I'm ignorant about the subject, but fail to give an example to prove why I'm ignorant. Its not like I was speaking broken English and nobody could understand me. You just wanted to chime in as if you had anything of value, to say.

I agree with you in principle, but this assumes that the individual/group we are focusing on does not have power over you or that it's easy to avoid their traps. Consider organic eating. Thanks to woefully flagging government oversight of the food industry, there are scores of companies who falsely promote healthy eating so that the selection is utterly muddled. Unless you live near a good selection of locally grown commodities, you are at a loss. And why does the FDA allow this? Because of special interests and we allow them to allow it.

Oh and I'm bothered by Sportscenter if I watch it over and over.

All diamonds are real if they are properly made, but point taken. Also... the entire existence of "conflict diamonds" doesn't work for me.. and their worth is more mythical than the Mayan prophecy garbage. lol

But still, Hahvoc, I am with you there.

I see your point, understand, and can reach you on it.

Also.. Sportcenter has ALWAYS bothered me.. but then.. actually, the entire over emphasis on sports in any way bothers me.

Turkey Bacon bothers me A LOT!!!! lol

Oh man! Turkey bacon is the sexual tease of foods!

I'm bothered by planned obsolescence and general wastefulness.

Snobbery... but also the misuse of the word as well, bothers me.

Deliberate misuse of words (not out of ignorance) bothers me.

Enlightened Educated idiocy bothers me.

People/works/artifacts/stories/etc. that have clearly been proven as hoaxes/myths/theories still being championed/presented as truth bother me.

"Scholastic elitism" bothers me.

Getting hit on by someone you have told a thousand times you are taken bothers me.

It happens to us all, Steel. It happens to us all...

On that note, the very existence of Time Warner bothers me. I am starting to see why they are so freaking cheap - their network is buggier than my dad's ancient, turn-of-the-century car.
