Mugen (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

The swing took her arm, but Suma kicked Akatsuru hard in the stomach, sending her flying and allowing her to strike her shamisen again.

“I’m gonna feed your innards to Tengen-sama like I did with Ebisu’s!” Suma had tears in her eyes even as she hurled insults, strumming her shamisen hard to try and cut Akatsuru’s legs out from beneath her.

Akatsuru's eyes widened and her ears began to ring.
"Eb..." She gasped before she death gripped her blade, swinging and unleashing two swift attacks to block Suma's - an attack that the wife recognized as Tanjirou's Raging Sun.
"You will suffer for desecrating Ebisu's corpse!!" She yelled before bursting forward, spinning and twisting her body to swing her blade hard for Suma's neck.

She screeched in terror and attempted to strum once more, but it was too late, Akatsuru’s blade sliced through her neck first. Her head tumbled from her shoulders, the pick stopping just short of the strings, as Suma’s severed head let out another screech. “No! Damn you! Damn you!” She cursed Akatsuru angrily, tears dripping down her cheeks.

Akatsuru moved over her, glancing down at her as she sheathed her blade.
"Heaven is sealed to you, I hope you know." She said gently, "Yet I still feel compelled to pray for you...after all that you've stolen..."

Tears poured down her face as it slowly started to crumbled away into dust. “Lord Tengen will have your head! He’ll- he’ll!” She could barely make out a proper sentence, baring her teeth at Akatsuru.

"He's welcome to take it if he can..." She said, kneeling before Suma and clasping her hands together gently before she began to pray.

The last thing to desintigrate was Suma’s tears, leaving Akatsuru alone on the dark street. One killer down, and three to go.

The sound of child crying filled the temple, waking Yuko from her sleep. Sanemi’s familiar foot steps coming down the stairs. When he came into view, he was carrying a squirming child by the back of their collar like one would a cat.
The child besides crying, was also covered in blood, a gag in their mouth to muffle their cries for his sensitive ears. He set the child down a bit roughly, growing irritated with the girls crying, but he couldn’t yet harm the gift he had gotten for Yuko. He was excited to give her the human child- almost entirely unharmed, save for the mental anguish of what she had just gone through: a demon slaughtering her family only to steal away with her into the night.
“Yuko.” He called, the child still crying. “I have something for you.”

Yuko stared at the child, eyes holding a horror she wish she could have hidden.
"S... Sanemi...wh..." She didn't even know how to ask without him flying over the handle.

"It's for you- a child." He looked almost embarrassed if the situation hadn't been so dire. "You said you wanted children one day, so I figured I could get you one."
The young girl looked terrified, sitting and crying, not even trying to run away. There were no visible injuries on the girl, only the blood splattered across her clothes- likely not her own.

"I-I..." God, this poor girl, "Th...Thank you, Sanemi... that's so kind of you..." She reached out to the girl and tried to smile, though the situation didn't look good either way.
"Why not come here, hm? You must be cold and scared...I'll take care of you..."

Sanemi looked happy that she had accepted his gift. “I’ll bring some more things for her later on.”
The girl moved closer to Yuko, clutching to her side and hiding her face from Sanemi.

"I'll make do. Thank you so much, Sanemi." She replied, trying to hide the fear in her voice. She beckoned the girl closer.
"Come now, it's ok...I know this is scary...but I'll keep you safe...my name is Yuko, what's your name?"

The girl moved closer to Yuko, clutching to her side and hiding her face from Sanemi. She was shaking like a leaf, only shaking her head as she clung tightly to Yuko.

Sanemi left silently, leaving the two to quant themselves, glad Yuko had accepted the girl- he preferred to not kill children, but if Yuko didn’t like her, he’d have no choice.
The girl slowly looked up at Yuko, relief clear on her face at the sight of a human, and not another monster like Sanemi.

She smiled softly, albeit sadly, "I'm sorry this happened to you...I hope that we can brave this together, and leave this place..." She reached to show the heavy chain Sanemi still kept around her ankle, "I'm stuck here, too...but I've almost figured out how to get free.."

The girl braved looking up to peek at the chain Yuko showed her, sniffling softly as she looked up at her expectantly. “Really..?” She whispered.

She nodded, smiling to try and keep spirits up, "Yes. He's in a good mood most of the time and lets me have some freedoms. When the time is right, I'll get us out of here."

“What about mommy and daddy..?” Fresh tears came to the child’s eyes. “They’re both-” Their voice cracked and their hands trembled.

Her smile melted into a frown and she held the child tighter, "I'll make sure he's punished for it, little one...I promise...he won't get away with doing that to you...to your parents..."

Her words brought the girl comfort, what little it did in the moment, shedding silent tears. “Himari.” She sniffled quietly. “My name is Himari.”
