Mugen (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

She nodded in agreement, smiling softly, "I couldn't agree more, Kamado-kun."
"Tsuru! Tsuru!" Ebisu's crow circled overhead briefly before landing on her shoulder, "Please come quick! Tsukuyami and Etsuko are back! Etsuko is hurt pretty bad again!"
"Oh my.." Akatsuru frowned and stood, "Please excuse me, Kamado-kun, I'll be right back...!"

“Ah, wait, I’ll come help too!” Tanjirou was on his feet in a flash, not far behind. “We can get her to the Butterfly Mansion more easily if there’s two of us.”

"Ok!" Akatsuru replied and followed Ebisu's crow to where Tsukuyami and Etsuko were; she was in one of the side rooms, barely conscious as she held herself upright waiting for Akatsuru.
"Etsuko-san...! What happened...?!" Akatsuru asked. Etsuko looked up, eyes tired, before looking away.

Tanjirou hurried to her side, carefully moving to support her weight, worried she might drop any second. “Let us help you to the infirmary, you’re hurt badly.”

"I-I couldn't..." Etsuko croaked, voice tight as tears fell down her face, "couldn't save...her...he took her somewhere...she was there and then they were...!"
"Easy, easy." Akatsuru frowned, helping keep Etsuko stable thanks to Tanjirou, "Let's get you situated before we decide what to do next.." Etsuko's lip trembled before her head dropped in defeat.

Tanjirou helped hurry Etsuko to the infirmary to get her most grievous wounds addressed first, brows knit in concern and deep thought as he waited outside the treatment room until they were allowed in. Someone had been taken? It must’ve been a demon, perhaps an upper moon?

Akatsuru worked hard to suture Etsuko's wounds, keeping her comfortable as she cleaned them. They would have to get more information after she rested.
She left the room quietly when she was done and stopped beside Tanjirou.
"She'll be ok now, she just needs some sleep.."

He let out a heavy breath and looked visibly relieved. “Thank goodness! Did she say anything at all? Was it a demon?”

She nodded, "The mission her crow, Tsukuyami, left with her for. She said he was quite powerful; he regenerated rather quickly." She said with a frown.

He nodded. “All we can do is wait then.” He said with a soft sigh of disappointment and anxiety.

Akatsuru nodded before turning gently to Tsukuyami, "You did well helping guide her home, Tsukuyami-san. Thank you so much." She said with a smile, "Thanks to you, she'll be alright."

The crow looked relieved, trying her best not to cry. “Thanks! Thanks! Saved Etsuko..!” She weeped sadly.

Tanjirou nodded. “You’re right, we can come back later, and I’ll even bring some good snacks to share when she wakes.”

Moriko was on constant edge, hearing strange noises outside the room, but could see nothing through the closed paper doors. There was nothing else to do but to sit and wait inside the cage, passing the time by counting how many different noises she heard outside the room.

Akatsuru smiled softly and nodded, "I think they would like that." She said.

There was a new noise - movement - and it drew closer to the door of the room. They were careful, so much that Moriko almost missed them.

Moriko frowned softly and watched the door closely, dark eyes fixed on the door, holding her breath.

Moriko felt her heart skip a beat, almost too stunned to speak. “E.. Etsuko..!” She called, moving closing to the bars of the cage. “Here! I’m in here!” She called, eyes growing wet with tears of relief.

The footsteps hurried and the door slid open, Etsuko moving inside and giving a noise of relief, "Thank the heavens...I was so scared...!" She said, moving to her cell.

“Etsuko, how did you find me? Where is this place?” She peered through the wooden slots of the cage. “Can you open the lock?”

"I can try." She replied, moving to the cage door, "Wherever this is, I was brought here, too...I've been searching for you this whole time.."

Her words offered some much needed relief, moving to the door where Etsuko was as she waited to be freed. “Thank goodness, I was so sure you hadn’t made it when we left.. I thought that would be the last time I ever saw you..”
