『Kodoku no Saibou』(1×1 w/ Jikkah)

Amaya shook her head in disapproval. “I do have to admit, she is rather unpredictable… having two Date’s around will surely become a larger issue than we could have imagined..”

"Especially bound as they are." Akihime muttered. Sasuke glanced up at her.
"You noticed that, too?"
"Of course I did." Akihime frowned, "How could I not?"

“What?” Amaya perked up, glancing between the two. “Don’t tell me she’s his Shiki?” She said, brows furrowed.

"Alright," Akihime reached to steal one of Sasuke's tofu pieces, "I won't tell you."
"Not only that, but he has a piece of her soul." Sasuke said, "Explains how he could do everything she could without dying."

Amaya let out exasperated sigh at the information. "So he's somehow made himself an even bigger nuisance than before.." She muttered. "What shall we do, my lady?"

"The sad truth is there's nothing we can do," Akihime replied, "just let their contract run it's course and deal with him should he show himself again."
"A regular spirit or demon, I could understand, but a god?" Sasuke made a face, "man's desperate."
"No. Just stupid." Akihime said gently.

Amaya frowned but nodded. She had stood no match against them, with the power of a god they stood no chance no matter how many times they tried.

"It'll be alright, Amaya." Akihime assured, "Date has never taken it so far as to claim any lives. He's just a child with a toy."

“And that child grows more dangerous as the days go on- we can only hope this Okami will help even the playing field.” She said.

"He will," Akihime's voice softened at that, almost fond, "I know he will." Sasuke's eyes narrowed a bit at her tone but kept quiet.

Princess Nanahime was sent from Ryugu-jou as a bride- a political marriage to bring together two powerful kingdoms -accompanied by her handmaidens, guards and a whole entourage meant to provide merriment during the coming celebrations. Each of the people had donned a human appearance to travel on land, heading to the large mountain fortress where she was to meet her oni prince for the first time.

Motochika was less than pleased with the whole thing, angry that his parents had rolled over for the sea god so easily.
"It's to keep the power balance in check." Shoten Doji had said. But Motochika knew they were scared.

Nanahime was greeted at the gate, quickly being let inside the fortress by Motochika’s servants, who had been expecting her.
Nana was finally able to get a moment to herself- the first time in weeks. She was not pleased with the arrangement, against the marriage, but loyal to her father. So it was that she willingly went to be Chisokabe’s bride, living away from her home in the ocean. She didn’t hate her tailless form, having trained in all forms of martial arts equally with and without legs, but she longed for the cool waters.
Dressed in her finest gown and adorned with her most luxurious pearls and jewels, she waited alone in a room while Motochika was alerted of her arrival.

"Let's get this over with..." Motochika muttered bitterly, and moved outside where the ceremony would be held. It would be along the cliffside overlooking the sea to accommodate Nanahime.

Everyone around them seemed to be rather happy despite Motochika’s foul mood, as with this marriage two kingdoms would come together and flourish. Food of different kinds were sprawled out across several tables, and plenty of wines to go along. Many different musicians played and many different dancers entertained the attending.
Nana came out not long after everything began, and started off the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was long, preforming ceremonies from both clans, and when they concluded, Nana and Motochika were ushered off to their marriage room.

When they were left alone, Motochika scowled gently, "Listen, I'm not lookin to consummate. This whole thing is a real pain in my ass anyhow."

“I agree.” His bride nodded gently, a stern look on her face. “But it is my duty to take my place at your side, however..” She held his gaze, steely eyes calm. “I cannot rightfully do so until you have proven worthy.”

“I wish to duel you in combat. If you beat me I will willingly take my place as your wife how you see fit.” She explained.

She smirked slightly and turned to face him fully. “I would take offense if you didn’t at least try as much.”

“I’m glad we’re both in agreement.” She said, her mood drastically improved upon hearing his compliance. “Though I feel letting such good food and drink going to waste is a shame, so I’ll help myself to some of the festivities before we fight… say in the morning?”

Nana bowed her head, her finned ears twitching slightly. “Then I will excuse myself, may you enjoy your night as well.” She said before leaving to meet with her handmaidens.

Yukimura was back on his feet and better than ever. He had gotten himself well acquainted with his new surroundings, taking a few days to erect several barriers over the property.
Amaya had sent for someone to repair the front gate, the garden cleared of the burned plants.
